Stand der TechnikState of the art

Electrical connectors usually consist of a plug part and a coupling part. The plug part is inserted into the coupling part for producing the electrical connection. The individual electrical connectors (plug part and coupling part) can be designed differently depending on the application.

In the prior art, for example, thermometers for monitoring the temperature in the preparation of food are known. Especially in the preparation of meat dishes or fish dishes is often the temperature inside the food to be prepared relevant. This temperature is usually different to the temperature in the interior of a furnace. While the temperature in the interior of a furnace is usually controlled by a thermostat and / or displayed on a display, the temperature in the interior of food during preparation can be determined via separate thermometers and viewed via a corresponding display of the thermometer.

Such thermometers must withstand high temperatures, in particular up to 250 degrees Celsius, and be protected or sealed against the ingress of liquids. Usually this is a temperature sensor, which can be inserted, for example, in the meat or fish, connected to an electrical conductor and the electrical conductor out of the interior of the furnace, so that the rest of the electronics and the display is located outside the furnace. For example, the electrical conductor can be led out of the interior of the furnace in the region of the sealing of the furnace door. For sealing or to prevent liquids from penetrating into the temperature sensor, the connection region between the temperature sensor and the electrical conductor is usually potted. Such a thermometer is independent of the construction of the furnace.

Darstellung der Erfindung: Aufgabe, Lösung, VorteileDESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION: Problem, Solution, Advantages

Object of the present invention is to provide a connector for electrically connecting an electrical conductor with an electrical connection element, wherein the connector in the interior of a furnace with an electrical connection element, such as a socket, can be plugged together to provide, for example, a thermometer.

According to the invention, a plug connector for electrically connecting an electrical conductor to an electrical connection element is proposed, wherein the plug connector has a first electrical contact element and a region around the first electrical contact element around arranged second electrical contact element and a region around the second electrical contact element around arranged third electrical contact element , Between the first electrical contact element and the second electrical contact element, a first electrically insulating layer is arranged. Between the second electrical contact element and the third electrical contact element, a second electrically insulating layer is arranged.

According to the invention, it is further provided that at least partially, a first sealing means is arranged between the first electrical contact element and the second electrical contact element. The first sealant is included arranged and formed such that thereby a seal against ingress of liquids and / or gases is achieved in a region between the first electrical contact element and the first electrically insulating layer. Furthermore, this first sealing means for sealing against ingress of liquids and / or gases is arranged in a region between the second electrical contact element and the first electrically insulating layer.

For example, the connector can be used to connect a temperature sensor, wherein a temperature sensor is connected via the electrical conductor to the connector and thus a temperature sensor is formed, which may be part of a thermometer. Characterized in that the connector has at least a first sealing means between the first electrical contact element and the second electrical contact element, a thermometer formed with this connector according to the invention can be used flexibly or pluggable, for example in an interior of a baking oven. The electronics and the display of the thermometer can be part of the oven. It is thus not necessary for a separate component to be passed through a conductive connection, for example through the oven door, for example in the region of the seal. The first sealing element prevents ingress of liquids and / or gases into the contact region of the connector, in particular into the region between the first electrically insulating layer and the electrical contact elements arranged on both sides of the first electrically insulating layer, namely the first electrical contact element and the second electrical contact element.

The three electrical contact elements are at least partially coaxial with each other. Preferably, the first electrical contact element is substantially shank-shaped and centrally, that is along a longitudinal central axis of the connector, arranged and towards the contact tip, ie in the region of a first end face of the connector, extended, so that the contact tip is formed from the first electrical contact element. The second and third electrical contact element is preferably sleeve-shaped or tubular and arranged around the first electrical contact element around. In this case, the three electrical contact elements form three poles of the multipolar connector. The third electrical contact element preferably forms the outer layer of the connector and thus serves, for example, as a ground line.

The two electrically insulating layers between the individual electrical contact elements serve for electrical insulation. The two electrically insulating layers preferably have plastic.

The sealing means according to the invention is not formed by one of the two electrically insulating layers, but is provided as a separate means to prevent ingress of liquids and / or gases in the region between the first electrically insulating layer and the two adjacent electrical contact elements. Preferably, the first sealing means for this purpose is made of plastic.

The first sealing means is connected by means of a screw connection with the first electrical contact element and / or with the second electrical contact element. By screwing or screwing in the first sealant, the pressure or the pressure force in the region of the first and second contact surface of the first sealant can be produced and, in particular, increased in order to achieve an even better seal. It is particularly preferably provided that the first sealing means is plugged onto the shaft-shaped portion, that is, on the second portion of the first electrical contact element and is screwed to the second electrical contact element. For this purpose, the first sealing means may have an external thread and the second electrical contact element may have an internal thread. The inner diameter of the first sealant is preferably formed substantially round. The outer diameter or the outer contour of the first sealant may also be round or polygonal.

Furthermore, it is preferably provided that the two electrically insulating layers comprise or consist of liquid-crystalline polymer (LCP) and / or a thermoplastic, for example polyetheretherketone (PEEK). When using such a plastic as an electrically insulating layer ensures that the connector, in particular the electrically insulating layer, even at high temperatures, for example, temperatures up to 250 degrees Celsius, is dimensionally stable.

Preferably, the connector is designed as a plug, and particularly preferably as a jack. This is to be understood in the sense of the invention that the connector preferably has the form factor of a jack plug. Thus, it is preferably provided that the connector according to the standard for jack plug has the appropriate shapes and dimensions and thus is compatible with a jack for the jack. In addition, however, the connector is provided with at least a first sealant. Jack plugs are commonly used in audio engineering, for example for connecting a headphone to an amplifier. It can jack 2-pin or 3-pin design or other poles, for example, for additional functions have. Jack plugs are not sealed against ingress of liquids and / or gases. Furthermore, jack plugs are not temperature resistant. This means that standard jack plugs are not dimensionally stable at temperatures of up to 250 degrees Celsius. In particular, the insulation layers between the individual poles of the jack plug are usually not temperature resistant up to 250 degrees Celsius.

Der Steckverbinder ist bevorzugterweise genau 3-polig ausgebildet. The connector is preferably formed exactly 3-pin.

Preferably, the first electrical contact element has a first portion and a second portion, wherein the first sealing means has a first contact surface. The first contact surface is in direct contact with the first portion of the first electrical contact element. Furthermore, the first contact surface of the first sealant is at least partially aligned obliquely to a longitudinal center axis of the connector. Furthermore, it is preferably provided that the first contact surface of the first sealant is at least partially formed obliquely to an outer surface of the connector.

Preferably, the contact tip or the first end region of the connector is formed by the first portion of the first electrical contact element. The second portion of the first electrical contact element is preferably arranged along the connector and formed substantially shank-shaped. The first electrical contact element may be formed in one piece as a component, wherein the two sections represent only different regions of the first electrical contact element here. Preferably, the first electrical contact element is a multi-part, for example, 2-part, formed. In this case, a first part of the first electrical contact element forms the first section and a second part of the electrical contact element forms the second section. The two sections or parts of the first electrical contact element are connected to each other at least electrically conductive and thus constitute a single electrical contact element or a single pole of the connector.

The first contact surface of the first sealant is used to seal against ingress of liquids and / or gases. Thus, in the region of the first contact surface between the first sealing means and the first portion of the first electrical contact element, a direct contact is understood, wherein the first sealing means and the first portion of the first electrical contact element with a sufficient pressure force in the region of the first contact surface are arranged to each other to prevent ingress of liquids and / or gases in this space. An obliquely arranged to the longitudinal central axis of the connector first contact surface is to be understood that the first contact surface or an intellectual extension of a portion of the first contact surface is arranged at an angle to the longitudinal center axis of the connector, wherein the angle greater than 0 degrees and less than 90 degrees is. Preferably, the angle is greater than 10 degrees and less than 75 degrees. Due to the obliquely arranged first contact surface, a particularly good sealing can be achieved.

The first sealing means further preferably has a second contact surface which is in contact with the second electrical contact element. The second contact surface of the first sealant is preferably aligned at least partially obliquely to the longitudinal center axis of the connector as the first contact surface of the first sealant. In this case, the first and second contact surfaces of the first sealing means can be aligned at the same angle, that is, parallel to one another, or at different angles to the longitudinal central axis of the connector.

In addition, it is preferably provided that the first sealing means has a third contact surface which is in contact with the second portion of the first electrical contact element. The third contact surface of the first sealant is preferably at least partially aligned parallel to the longitudinal center axis of the connector. In this case, the third contact surface of the first sealing means is preferably arranged around the shaft-shaped or longitudinally oriented portion of the first electrical contact element, for example clipped onto it.

The first portion of the first electrical contact element is further preferably screwed onto the second portion of the first contact element. By screwing the first section of the first electrical contact element onto the second section of the first electrical contact element, the first sealing means arranged between the first section of the first electrical contact element and the second electrical contact element can have a sufficient contact pressure in the area of the first and second contact surfaces of the first sealant be provided and thus the seal can be further improved.

Preferably, the first sealing means is arranged coaxially with the first electrical contact element. Furthermore, the first sealing means preferably has a flange directed away from the second section of the first electrical contact element. The directed away from the first electrical contact element flange is preferably circumferentially, and most preferably circumferentially closed, disposed around the first electrical contact element around. Furthermore, the two contact surfaces, that is to say the first and second contact surfaces of the first sealing element, are formed by the flange. For this purpose, two opposite side surfaces of the flange form the two contact surfaces of the first sealing element. Furthermore, the flange serves as an electrical insulation means between the first portion of the first electrical contact element and the second electrical contact element in axial alignment, wherein the first electrically insulating layer is arranged in particular between the second portion of the first electrical contact element and the second electrical contact element and thus as Isolation agent in the radial direction is used.

It is also preferably provided that between the second electrical contact element and the third electrical contact element at least partially a second sealing means for sealing against ingress of Liquids and / or gases in a region between the second electrical contact element and the second electrically insulating layer and for sealing against ingress of liquids and / or gases in a region between the third electrical contact element and the second electrically insulating layer is arranged. By virtue of the preferably provided two sealing means, a seal against ingress of liquids and / or gases in all contact points between the three electrical contact elements and the respective electrically insulating layers arranged between two electrical contact elements can be ensured.

The second sealing means preferably has a first contact surface, which is in contact with the second electrical contact element and / or with the second electrically insulating layer. The first contact surface of the second sealant is preferably at least partially aligned obliquely to a longitudinal center axis of the connector.

It is also preferably provided that the second sealing means has a second contact surface, which is in contact with the third electrical contact element. In this case, the second contact surface of the second sealing means is preferably at least partially aligned obliquely to the longitudinal center axis of the connector.

The second sealing means is preferably connected by means of a screw connection with the third electrical contact element and / or with the second electrical contact element. As a result, the pressure force in the region of the two contact surfaces of the second sealing means can be increased towards the second and third electrical contact element and thus a higher sealing can be achieved. It is particularly preferably provided that the second sealing means is screwed into the third electrical contact element. For this purpose, the second sealant, an external thread and the third electrical Contact element have an internal thread. Preferably, the inner diameter of the second sealant is formed round, wherein the outer diameter or the outer contour of the second sealant may be formed round or polygonal. Particularly preferably, the outer diameter or the outer contour of the second sealing means is polygonal. This allows simplified in the production handling or adjustment of the necessary pressure force, since due to the polygonal outer contour by means of conventional tools, the second sealant can be screwed into the third electrical contact element.

Furthermore, the second sealing means is preferably at least partially wedge-shaped. For this purpose, the two contact surfaces, that is, the first contact surface and the second contact surface of the second sealant preferably arranged obliquely to each other that they converge or mental extensions of the two contact surfaces of the second sealant in the longitudinal direction of the connector have an intersection. The wedge-shaped section of the second sealing means is preferably arranged clamped between the third electrical contact element and the second electrically insulating layer.

Preferably, it is provided that the connector has a contact portion for insertion into the electrical connection element and a connection portion for connection to the electrical conductor. Furthermore, the connector preferably has a housing which encloses the connection section. Preferably, the housing includes a substantially liquid-tight and / or gas-tight space in which the terminal portion is arranged.

The connection section preferably connects to the contact section. The electrical conductor is in the region of the connecting portion preferably with the connected electrical contact elements of the connector. For example, the electrical conductor can be soldered in the region of the connection section with the electrical contact elements of the connector. At least the connection portion, that is, the region in which the connector is connected to the electrical conductor, is arranged completely in the housing and thus in the liquid-tight and / or gas-tight space formed by the housing.

Between the housing and the third electrical contact element is preferably at least partially disposed a third sealing means for sealing against ingress of liquids and / or gases in the space enclosed by the housing. It is preferably provided that the third sealing means is not formed by the first or second electrically insulating layer, but a separate sealing means is provided. Preferably, the third sealing means is in direct contact with the housing and the third electrical contact element. For example, the third sealing means may be arranged in the region of the first end face of the housing.

Furthermore, it is preferably provided that the third sealing means is arranged on an outer surface of the third electrical contact element. The third sealing means is thus in direct contact with the outer surface of the third electrical contact element and with the inner surface of the housing. Particularly preferably, the third sealing means is arranged on the outer surface completely circumferentially around the outer surface.

The third sealing means may preferably be formed as an edge arranged obliquely to an outer surface of the third electrical contact element. This is to be understood that the third sealing means is arranged at an angle to the outer surface of the third electrical contact element, wherein the angle is greater than 0 degrees and less than 90 degrees, and particularly preferably between 5 degrees and 45 degrees.

It is also preferably provided that the third sealing means comprises metal, for example brass, or consists thereof.

The third sealing means further preferably connects to an external thread arranged on an outer surface of the third electrical contact element. Preferably, an external thread for screwing to the housing of the connector is provided on the outer surface of the third electrical contact element. For this purpose, the housing may have an internal thread, whereby it can be screwed onto the third electrical contact element. When the housing is screwed onto the external thread arranged on the outer surface of the third electrical contact element, an inner edge of the housing or of the first end of the housing is pressed against the edge of the third sealant arranged obliquely to the outer surface of the third electrical contact element, and thus the gap between the third sealed electrical contact element and the housing.

Preferably, the third sealing means and the external thread of the same material, for example brass. The housing preferably has brass and nickel.

Preferably, the first sealing means is disposed completely outside the housing. It is particularly preferably provided that the first sealing means directly after the contact tip, that is, the first portion of the first electrical contact element connects and is thus arranged in the region of the contact portion of the connector.

It is also preferably provided that the second sealing means is at least partially, and particularly preferably completely, enclosed by the housing.

The third sealing means is preferably at least partially, and particularly preferably completely enclosed by the housing.

In FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of a connector 100 for electrically connecting an electrical conductor 10 with an electrical connection element 11. The electrical connection element 11 is in FIG. 1 only shown in sections and formed as a sleeve. The connector 100 is designed as a jack or has the form factor of a 3-pin jack plug.

The connector 100 has in the front portion or at the front end to a first electrical contact element 15, which extends in the interior of the connector 100 in the longitudinal direction shank-shaped further to the connection portion 13 of the connector 100. According to the form factor of a conventional jack connector, an outer surface is also formed in the front region but electrically insulated from the first electrical contact element 15, a second electrical contact element 16, which is tubular or also in the longitudinal direction in the interior of the connector but around the first electrical contact element 15th around or coaxial with the first electrical contact element 15 extends to the terminal portion 13. The remaining outer area or the remaining outer shell is formed by a third electrical contact element 17. The electrical contact elements 15, 16, 17 are electrically separated from one another by electrically insulating layers 18, 19 which are respectively arranged between the electrical contact elements 15, 16, 17.

Die Masseverbindung wird über das dritte elektrische Kontaktelement 17 hergestellt und über ein Gehäuse 14 (inIn the connection section 13 of the connector 100, the electrical conductor 10 is conductively connected to the connector. For example, the electrical conductor 10 can be soldered to the electrical contact elements 15, 16, 17. In FIG. 1 two electrical conductors 10 are connected to the first electrical contact element 15 and the second electrical contact element 16. The ground connection is made via the third electrical contact element 17 and via a housing 14 (in

FIG. 1 not shown), which is screwed onto the external thread 26 connected.

FIG. 2 shows the connector 100 FIG. 1 in longitudinal section. The front region of the connector 100, namely the region which protrudes from the housing 14, represents the contact portion 12, with which the connector 100 can be inserted into an electrical connection element 11, for example a socket. The connection section 13 is enclosed by the housing 14 such that a substantially liquid-tight and / or gas-tight space 20 is formed, in which the connection section 13 is arranged.

The first electrical contact element 15 consists of a first section 27 and a second section 28. The first section 27 forms the contact tip of the connector 100 and is screwed onto a shaft-shaped and longitudinally and centrally arranged second section 28 of the first electrical contact element 15. The two sections 27, 28 of the first electrical contact element 15 are electrically conductively connected to one another via the screw connection and thus form a single first electrical contact element 15 or a single pole of the connector 100.

The second electrical contact element 16 and the third electrical contact element 17 are sleeve-shaped. The second electrical contact element 16 is arranged in regions, namely around the second section 28 of the first electrical contact element 15, around. The third electrical contact element 17 is likewise embodied like a sleeve and forms the outer shell of the connector 100 in the middle and rear region of the contact section 12. The third electrical contact element 17 is arranged around the second electrical contact element 16. Thus, the three electrical contact elements 15, 16, 17, or the first portion 27 of the first electrical contact element 15 and the second electrical contact element 16 and the third electrical contact element 17 arranged coaxially with each other.

For sealing against ingress of liquids and / or gases into a region between the first electrical contact element 15 or the second section 28 of the first electrical contact element 15 and the first electrically insulating layer 18 and for sealing against ingress of liquids and / or gases in a region between the second electrical contact element 16 and the first electrically insulating layer 18, a first sealing means 21 is arranged between the first electrical contact element 15 and the second electrical contact element 16.

In FIG. 3 For example, the front portion (portion A) of the connector 100 with the first sealant 21 is shown enlarged. The first sealing means 21 is sleeve-shaped and attached to the second portion 28 of the first electrical contact element 15 and screwed with an external thread in the likewise sleeve-shaped second electrical contact element 16. Thus, the first sealing means 21 in the longitudinal direction or axial direction between the first portion 27 of the first electrical contact element 15 and the second electrical contact element 16 and also in the radial direction between the second portion 28 of the first electrical contact element 15 and the second electrical contact element 16 is arranged ,

The first sealing means 21 has an outwardly projecting flange 33, which on the one hand electrically isolates the first section 27 of the first electrical contact element 15 from the second electrical contact element 16 and on the other obliquely arranged to the longitudinal central axis 32 of the connector 100 or aligned contact surfaces 29, 30th for sealing. Characterized in that the first sealing means 21 is screwed by means of screw in the second electrical contact element 16 and in the region of a second contact surface 30 of the first Sealant 21 presses against the second electrical contact element 16, a seal against ingress of liquids and / or gases in a region between the second electrical contact element 16 and the first electrically insulating layer 18 is achieved.

As in FIG. 3 1, the first section 27 of the first electrical contact element 15 is screwed onto the second section 28 of the first electrical contact element 15 and thus the first section 27 of the first electrical contact element 15 is pressed against the first sealing element 21 in the region of the first contact surface 29 of the first sealant 21. In particular, by the two arranged obliquely to the longitudinal central axis 32 or aligned contact surfaces 29, 30 of the first sealant 21, a particularly good seal is achieved. By the first contact surface 29 of the first sealant 21, the area between the first electrical contact element 15 and the first electrically insulating layer 18 is sealed against ingress of liquids and / or gases.

FIG. 4 shows the section B of the connector 100 from FIG. 2 , The housing 14 is in FIG. 4 Not shown. For sealing against ingress of liquids and / or gases into a region between the second electrical contact element 16 and the second electrically insulating layer 19 and for sealing against ingress of liquids and / or gases into a region between the third electrical contact element 17 and second electrically insulating layer 19, a second sealing means 22 between the second electrical contact element 16 and the third electrical contact element 17 is arranged.

The second sealant 22 is like the first sealant 21 sleeve-shaped and made of plastic. The second sealant 22 is in contrast to the first sealant 21 completely from the housing 14 (in FIG. 4 not shown) arranged enclosed. Thus, the second sealing means 22 in the region of the connecting portion 13th the connector 100, wherein the first sealing means 21 is arranged following the contact tip of the connector 100 and thus outside of the housing 14 and in the region of the contact portion 12.

The second sealing means 22 is wedge-shaped and has two obliquely arranged to the longitudinal central axis 32 of the connector 100 and aligned contact surfaces 34, 35. In this case, a first contact surface 34 of the second sealing means 22 is arranged obliquely to the longitudinal central axis 32 of the connector 100 that a mental extension of the first contact surface 34 of the second sealant 22 in the region of the housing 14 or the electrical conductor 10 an intersection with the longitudinal central axis 32 of the connector 100 forms. The second contact surface 35 of the second sealing means 22 is arranged or aligned obliquely such that an intellectual extension forms an intersection with the longitudinal central axis 32 in the region of the contact tip of the connector. The wedge-shaped end formed by the two obliquely arranged contact surfaces 34, 35 of the second sealing means 22 is clamped between the third electrical contact element 17 and the second electrically insulating layer 19.

Furthermore, the second sealing means 22 is screwed into the likewise sleeve-shaped third electrical contact element 17. For this purpose, the second sealing means 22 has an external thread and the third electrical contact element 17 has an internal thread.

As with the first sealing means 21 is provided by the obliquely arranged to the longitudinal center axis 32 contact surfaces 34, 35 of the second sealant 22 and by the screw sufficient pressure in the region of the two contact surfaces 34, 35 to seal against the ingress of liquids and / or To reach gases. The first contact surface 34 of the second sealant 22 serves to seal the region between the second electrical contact element 16 and the second electrically insulating layer 19. The second Contact surface 35 of second sealant 22 serves to seal the region between third electrical contact element 17 and second electrically insulating layer 19.

The housing 14 has an internal thread in the region of its first front end, whereby the housing 14 can be screwed onto an external thread 26 arranged on the outer surface 25 of the third electrical contact element 17. For sealing the area between the third electrical contact element 17 and the housing 14, a third sealing means 23 is arranged on the outer surface 25 of the third electrical contact element 17.

The third sealing means 23 adjoins the external thread 26 and is formed as an edge arranged obliquely to the outer surface 25 of the third electrical contact element 17 and made of metal. When the housing 14 is screwed on, an end-side inner edge of the housing 14 is pressed against the obliquely arranged flank or the third sealing means 23 and thus the area between the housing 14 and the third electrical contact element 17 is sealed.
