- the two leg belt cushions are wedge-shaped in such a way that their end faces lie opposite one another, forming the section between the two leg belt cushions.
- a method for producing a safety harness for a human user is created, wherein in the method at least one component is produced using a method having the features described above, two leg straps are provided for two human legs of the user, the at least one component is detachably attached or permanently attached to at least one of the leg straps in the region of the user's pelvis such that the thigh vein of the user is at least partially kept free on the portion of the at least one component remaining between the two leg strap pads (110) when the User has put on the full body harness.
- leg belt pads are a (In particular, temporary, for example only existing under pressure, or permanent, for example always and also in the non-energetic state) recess on a releasable support structure which is arranged such that the femoral vein ( vena femoralis ) is at least partially kept free.
- the component is designed as an at least partially separate part from the safety harness, which can be detachably attached to almost any safety harness for human users by means of the fastening device attached or attachable to the support structure.
- the device according to the invention makes it possible to use the device according to the invention to retrofit already existing safety harnesses and tether belts.
- This has the advantage that the full body harness can be retrofitted with at least one component to at least partially spare the leg vein and a completely new full body harness does not have to be manufactured. This improves the protection of users of conventional belts from an often fatal orthostatic shock when falling into a belt and increases the operational safety of safety and safety belts with little effort.
- the fastening device is fixedly attached to the support structure and is therefore permanently attached to it. This has the advantage that a user only has to handle a one-piece component.
- the fastening device can be provided separately from the support structure, i.e. to form the component in several pieces.
- the fastening device can be designed as a separate loop, which is guided under tension around the support structure and a leg strap in order to fasten the component to the harness.
- the fastening device is provided or attached to the safety harness and is then only attached to the support structure when the releasable fastening is formed.
- the carrier structure in the region of the section can be at least partially covered with, in particular, flexible material (for example with a further leg belt cushion) that is at least under pressure (especially by the user when the user has put on the safety harness, in particular when it has been worn) suffers a fall with a full body harness) forms a recess to keep the femoral vein at least partially clear.
- flexible material for example with a further leg belt cushion
- the section is therefore not free of seat belt padding.
- the flexible material can be softer than the material of the leg belt cushions in such a way that the flexible material leaves the recess under pressure load, in particular only under pressure load, to at least partially keep free the femoral vein.
- Figure 6 An example shows that the section between the two leg belt pads is covered with a flexible material that gives in even with small forces and thereby keeps the surface vein free.
- the particularly flexible material can be designed in such a way that it at least partially cuts the recess even without pressure loading between the leg belt pads Keep the femoral vein clear.
- the section between the two leg belt pads can be free of seat belt pads, that is to say have no leg strap pads.
- the component in addition to being detachable, can also be displaceable and / or adjustable.
- the displaceability and / or adjustability can also be made possible when the component is mounted on the safety harness.
- the carrier structure can be an elastic and / or flexible carrier strip.
- the carrier strip can be flexible or bendable and can thus adapt to the anatomy of a user without restricting the user's ability to keep the femoral vein free.
- the carrier structure can be made of plastic, in particular of a polyethylene-polypropylene mixture.
- the support structure can be manufactured inexpensively.
- the configuration of the carrier structure as a plastic strip ensures high robustness and a long service life as well as a low weight of the component.
- the carrier structure can be designed as a textile rigid band (for example webbing).
- the support structure can have a first main surface, on which the two leg strap cushions protrude above the support structure, and have a second main surface opposite the first main surface, on which the releasable fastening device is attached such that when the second main surface is attached to a leg strap of the full body harness, the leg strap of the Fastening device is releasably enclosed.
- the second main surface can be flat or planar, and can therefore lie against the full length of a leg belt of the safety harness.
- the carrier structure can have a width in a range between 30 mm and 60 mm, in particular between 40 mm and 50 mm, at least in the section (in particular free of seat belt padding). This width is high enough to promote the function of keeping the femoral vein clear when the user is wearing the harness and is dropping. At the same time, this width is small enough to keep the component compact and lightweight.
- the section of the carrier structure which is in particular free of seat belt padding in the distance direction can have a length in a range between 50 mm and 150 mm, in particular in a range between 70 mm and 90 mm.
- a recess By providing a recess, a depression or a locally softer (in relation to the leg belt pads) area of the dimensions mentioned, the femoral vein can be kept free.
- the support structure in the region of the section that is particularly free of seat belt padding can be locally narrowed in the width direction compared to adjacent sections, to which adjacent sections the leg belt padding is attached.
- This enables a material-saving and low-material configuration to be achieved which, in the area of local narrowing, also has a high degree of flexibility and thus adaptability to anatomical particularities of a user. Adjacent to this locally narrowed area are the two leg belt cushions, which distribute an applied load over a larger surface area and thus impart a comfortable fit to a user.
- the wedge-shaped design of the two leg belt cushions can be realized in such a way that the height of the leg belt cushions changes in the direction towards the section arranged between the two leg belt cushions constant or changing slope is increased and then falls with a larger slope and ends at this point in the section with no padding.
- This wedge-shaped design of the two leg belt cushions ensures a comfortable fit and also allows the femoral vein to be kept free in the event of a sudden fall.
- the two leg belt cushions can be formed from an elastic and / or flexible material, in particular from gel and / or foam, furthermore in particular one of the two leg belt cushions made from gel and the other of the two leg belt cushions from foam.
- Designing a leg belt pad made of gel has the advantage of being particularly adaptable to the body of a user without the total volume of a leg belt pad changing (due to the extensive incompressibility of gels).
- Configuring a foam leg belt pad makes it possible to implement a targeted damping or compression function under load through the compressibility of the foam.
- the two leg belt cushions can be designed as a multilayered layer structure.
- the layers thereof can be softer the further away they are from the support structure.
- a leg strap cushion made from several layers of the same or different materials (e.g. foam), it is possible to form the leg strap pad or its textile-coated core from several areas of the same or different dimensions and thus to have a locally varying thickness or a locally varying strength to reach.
- the two leg belt cushions can also be formed in one piece, for example as a molded part or a foamed part. This allows cost-effective production.
- the fastening device can have at least two pairs of fastening lugs, each pair of fastening lugs having fastening elements which interact to form a releasable connection.
- the tabs can clearly or partially be guided around the leg strap and then releasably attached to the leg strap. This creates an uncomplicated and intuitively manageable component for a user, which at the same time can be reliably attached to the harness.
- fastening loops can also be provided.
- the fastening elements can be selected from a group consisting of Velcro elements, magnetic elements, adhesive elements and mechanical locking elements. Fastening elements of this type can be manufactured inexpensively and nevertheless permit the component to be fastened in a robust manner to a safety harness.
- the component can have an edging structure which surrounds the support structure in a ring shape and to which the two leg belt pads and the fastening device are fastened.
- an edging structure or edging can be made, for example, from a textile material, plastic or rubber and cover any sharp edges of the support structure in order to increase operational safety.
- Such an edging structure can also protect the support structure from wear due to mechanical influences.
- the edging structure can be formed from fabric, which with at least one of the Support structure, the leg belt pad and the fastening device is sewn or glued. This allows the edging structure to be manufactured cost-effectively.
- the length of the component can be between 20 cm and 40 cm, in particular between 25 cm and 35 cm.
- the component can be made compact and light-weight and nevertheless have a sufficiently large body contact area in order to distribute the forces occurring in the event of a fall over a sufficiently large area of the user's body without the occurrence of painful force peaks.
- an edging structure can also be omitted.
- the component can be manufactured particularly inexpensively and lightweight.
- the leg belt cushions can be pillow-shaped.
- the leg belt cushions can therefore show a certain flexibility under mechanical load and thus provide a mechanical damping function.
- the pillow-shaped leg belt cushions can moreover be in force-distributing operative contact with the body of the user over a two-dimensional surface area.
- the harness may be configured to maintain blood flow through the femoral vein even when the user is wearing the harness and falling into the harness. As a result, if the user suffers a fall, the user can be effectively protected from a possibly life-threatening orthostatic shock.
- Figure 1 11 shows a full body harness 102 according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- the harness 102 can be configured as a waist belt as shown or alternatively as a chest and waist belt for a human user 104.
- the harness 102 has two leg straps 116 for two human legs 118 of the user 104.
- the full body harness 102 in the exemplary embodiment shown has a component 100 which is detachably attached to one of the leg straps 116 in the region of the pelvis of the user 104.
- the component 100 can be removed from the harness 102 or temporarily attached to it due to its releasable attachability.
- the component 100 is further configured such that a user 104 can move the component 100 along the leg strap 116 in order to adapt it to the anatomical conditions of the user 104 or to adjust it in a user-defined manner.
- the component 100 can, for example, first be temporarily or releasably attached to the safety harness 102 by means of a releasable fastening device 114 (for example a Velcro fastener). Thereafter, the component 100 so releasably attached to the harness 102 can first be shifted to a desired position (which in particular should ensure that the femoral vein 106 is kept free) for an adjustment along the harness 102 and then permanently and (without destruction) permanently on the harness 102 can be attached, for example by sewing or gluing.
- a desired position which in particular should ensure that the femoral vein 106 is kept free
- a full body harness 102 can be equipped or retrofitted in order to provide the full body harness 102 with a protective mechanism against undesired squeezing of the femoral vein 106 of the user 104 when wearing the full body harness 102.
- the component 100 can be positioned on the harness 102 such that the thigh vein 106 of the user 104 is kept free on a section 112 of the component 100 between two leg strap pads 110 in the exemplary embodiment shown, when the user 104 has fastened the seat belt 102.
- the harness 102 is particularly configured to maintain blood flow through the femoral vein 106 even when the user 104 is wearing the harness 102 and even when the user 104 falls into the harness 102.
- the component 100 is thus designed to be attached to the harness 102 in order to keep the femoral vein 106 of the user 104 free.
- the component 100 has a support structure 108 and has the two leg strap pads 110 attached to the support structure 108 at such a distance from one another that the leg strap pad-free section 112 of the support structure 108 remaining between the two leg strap pads 110 is on the safety harness 102 attached state of the component 100 keeps the femoral vein 106 of the user 104 clear when the user 104 has fastened the safety belt 102.
- the releasable fastening device 114 for releasably fastening the component 100 to the harness 102 is attached to the carrier structure 108.
- Figure 2 shows a top view of a component 100 for attachment to a harness or tether 102 (not shown in FIG Figure 2 , for example on the harness 102 according to Figure 1 ) according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- the carrier structure 108 is an elastic or flexible carrier strip made of plastic, for example made of a polyethylene-polypropylene mixture.
- the carrier structure 108 has a first main surface 200, on which the two pillow-shaped leg belt pads 110 protrude above the carrier structure 108.
- On a second main surface 300 opposite the first main surface 200 is the releasable fastening device 114 (also in detail in FIG Figure 3 and Figure 4 to be recognized) attached in such a way that when the second main surface 300 is in contact with a leg strap 116 of the harness 102, the leg strap 116 is detachably enclosed by the fastening device 114.
- the support structure 108 has a width B in a range between 30 mm and 60 mm.
- the section 112 of the support structure 108 has a length L in a distance between the leg belt pads 110 in a range between 50 mm and 150 mm.
- a total length D of the component 100 (along a direction of extension of the leg strap 116 when the component 100 is mounted on the harness 106) is between 20 cm and 40 cm.
- the support structure 108 is locally narrowed in the region of the section 112 in relation to the adjacent sections in the width direction (ie has a constriction), to which adjacent sections the leg belt pads 110 are attached.
- the two leg belt pads 110 are wedge-shaped (such a wedge shape is shown in FIG Figure 5 particularly easy to recognize) formed such that their end faces 202 lie opposite one another with the formation of the section 112 free of seat belt padding.
- the two leg belt pads 110 are made of an elastic or flexible material, here foam.
- the component 100 also has an edging structure 204 which surrounds and surrounds the support structure 108 in a ring or full circumference, and to which the two leg belt pads 110 and the fastening device 114 are fastened.
- the edging structure 204 can be formed from textile material, which can be sewn or glued to the support structure 108 and the leg belt pads 110.
- Figure 3 shows a bottom view of the component 100 according to FIG Figure 2 , according to which the fastening devices 114 (but without the leg strap 116 attached in between) are brought into a locked state. If an in Figure 3 Leg strap 116, not shown, is attached between the support structure 108 and cooperating fastening tabs 302, 304 (with Velcro function) of the fastening devices 114 and the fastening tabs 302, 304 are brought into the shown closed state, the component 100 is detachably fastened to the harness 102.
- Figure 4 shows another bottom view of the component 100 according to FIG Figure 2 and Figure 3 , in which the fastening tabs 302, 304 are brought into an open state, in which the component 100 is in one Figure 4 Leg strap 116, not shown, can be loosened or removed.
- the fastening device 114 of the component 100 has three pairs of fastening lugs 302, 304, each pair of fastening lugs 302, 304 having fastening elements 306, 308 which interact to form a releasable connection.
- the fastening elements 306, 308 can be formed as Velcro elements with hooks or loops.
- FIG. 12 shows a cross-sectional view of a component 100 according to another exemplary embodiment of the invention.
- a leg strap pad 500 made of flexible material is also provided in section 112, which has a smaller thickness perpendicular to the direction of extension of the support structure 108 than the two leg strap pads 110 in the region in which they adjoin the leg strap pad 500.
- a cutout 502 is formed in the area of the leg belt cushion 500, which serves to keep the femoral vein clear.
- the leg strap pad 500 can be made of the same material as the leg strap pad 110. It is even possible that the leg strap pad 500 and the leg strap pad 110 are formed in one piece, in particular from a coherent piece of foam.
- the fastening device 114 is formed by two pairs of interacting Velcro elements.
- FIG. 12 shows a cross-sectional view of a component 100 according to yet another exemplary embodiment of the invention.
- leg strap pad 500 made of flexible material is formed between the leg strap pads 110 in such a way that its height in an area directly adjacent to the leg strap pads 110 is identical to the heights of the two leg strap pads 110 there, so that a mechanically continuous structure with a steady, jump-free height profile is created is. Because according to Figure 6 the leg strap pad 500 is formed from a softer material than the leg strap pad 110, which material yields even with a low mechanical load, the leg strap pad 500 also serves to keep the femoral vein free, in particular under mechanical load (as in the event of a fall or fall).
- the fastening device 114 is formed by an adhesive layer which can be releasably and reversibly connected to a leg strap 116.
- Figure 7 shows a cross-sectional view of a component 100.
- the two leg belt pads 110 are designed as a multilayered layer structure, the layers of which are softer the further away they are from the carrier structure 108.
- a respective first layer 700 which is applied directly to the carrier structure 108, has a greater extension in the longitudinal direction of the carrier structure 108 and a greater hardness than a respective second layer 702, which is on the respective first layer 700 and thus at a distance to the support structure 108.
- the fastening device 114 is formed by two interacting pairs of fastening tabs 302, 304.
- the fastening tabs 302, 304 are fastened to one another like a belt.

According to another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a method for producing a component for attachment to a safety harness for a human user is at least partially kept free of the Provided thigh vein of the user, wherein the method provides a support structure, two (in particular pillow-shaped) leg strap pads are attached to the support structure at such a distance from one another that a portion of the support structure remaining between the two leg strap pads in the state of the component attached to the safety belt Keeps the user's femoral vein at least partially clear when the user is wearing the safety harness. The section is free of leg straps or the section has a further leg strap pad made of flexible material with a smaller thickness perpendicular to the direction of extension of the support structure than the two leg strap pads in the region in which they adjoin the further leg strap pad, or the section has one flexible material existing leg strap padding, the flexible material is softer than the adjacent material of the leg strap pads. In the method, a releasable fastening device is also attached to the carrier structure for releasably fastening the component to the safety harness, or a releasable fastening device that can be attached to the carrier structure is provided. The two leg belt cushions are wedge-shaped in such a way that their end faces lie opposite one another, forming the section between the two leg belt cushions.
According to yet another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a method for producing a safety harness for a human user is created, wherein in the method at least one component is produced using a method having the features described above, two leg straps are provided for two human legs of the user, the at least one component is detachably attached or permanently attached to at least one of the leg straps in the region of the user's pelvis such that the thigh vein of the user is at least partially kept free on the portion of the at least one component remaining between the two leg strap pads (110) when the User has put on the full body harness.
According to yet another embodiment of the present invention, at least one component with the features described above for retrofitting an existing safety harness with two leg straps for two human legs of a user in such a way that, in the retrofitted state, the thigh vein ( vena femoralis ) of the user is at least partially free on the portion of the at least one component remaining between the two leg belt pads (110), if the User wears the safety harness retrofitted with the at least one component.
According to yet another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, at least one component having the features described above for occupational safety, for construction, for assembly work, for medical technology applications, for climbing, for sport climbing, for parachutes, for rescue expeditions, for silo access systems, for salvage work or used in space technology.
The design of the component according to an embodiment of the present invention is characterized in that the leg belt pads are a (In particular, temporary, for example only existing under pressure, or permanent, for example always and also in the non-energetic state) recess on a releasable support structure which is arranged such that the femoral vein ( vena femoralis ) is at least partially kept free.
According to an exemplary embodiment of the invention, the component is designed as an at least partially separate part from the safety harness, which can be detachably attached to almost any safety harness for human users by means of the fastening device attached or attachable to the support structure. This makes it possible to use the device according to the invention to retrofit already existing safety harnesses and tether belts. This has the advantage that the full body harness can be retrofitted with at least one component to at least partially spare the leg vein and a completely new full body harness does not have to be manufactured. This improves the protection of users of conventional belts from an often fatal orthostatic shock when falling into a belt and increases the operational safety of safety and safety belts with little effort. In addition, it has proven to be highly preferred for manufacturing reasons to be able to manufacture the femoral vein protection separately from the harness. This also makes it possible, for example by moving the component along a leg strap of the full body harness, to make the full body harness equipped with the component also adaptable to the anatomical peculiarities of a particular user and / or with regard to a desired application.
Additional exemplary embodiments of the component, the safety harness, the methods and the uses are described below.
According to one embodiment, the fastening device is fixedly attached to the support structure and is therefore permanently attached to it. This has the advantage that a user only has to handle a one-piece component.
Alternatively, it is also possible to provide the fastening device separately from the support structure, i.e. to form the component in several pieces. For example, the fastening device can be designed as a separate loop, which is guided under tension around the support structure and a leg strap in order to fasten the component to the harness. It is also within the scope of the invention that the fastening device is provided or attached to the safety harness and is then only attached to the support structure when the releasable fastening is formed.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the carrier structure in the region of the section can be at least partially covered with, in particular, flexible material (for example with a further leg belt cushion) that is at least under pressure (especially by the user when the user has put on the safety harness, in particular when it has been worn) suffers a fall with a full body harness) forms a recess to keep the femoral vein at least partially clear. According to this exemplary embodiment, the section is therefore not free of seat belt padding.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the particularly flexible material can be designed in such a way that it at least partially cuts the recess even without pressure loading between the leg belt pads Keep the femoral vein clear. Thus, according to this embodiment, there is material on the support structure, but this material has a smaller thickness than adjacent areas of the leg belt cushions.
Optionally, the section between the two leg belt pads can be free of seat belt pads, that is to say have no leg strap pads. Alternatively, it is possible to provide the central recess with some material that is, for example, thinner and / or softer than the adjacent material of the leg belt pads, but still keeps the femoral vein clear.
In addition to being detachable, the component (or its cushion) can also be displaceable and / or adjustable. The displaceability and / or adjustability can also be made possible when the component is mounted on the safety harness.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the carrier structure can be an elastic and / or flexible carrier strip. The carrier strip can be flexible or bendable and can thus adapt to the anatomy of a user without restricting the user's ability to keep the femoral vein free.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the carrier structure can be made of plastic, in particular of a polyethylene-polypropylene mixture. In this way, the support structure can be manufactured inexpensively. The configuration of the carrier structure as a plastic strip ensures high robustness and a long service life as well as a low weight of the component.
According to another exemplary embodiment, the carrier structure can be designed as a textile rigid band (for example webbing).
According to an exemplary embodiment, the support structure can have a first main surface, on which the two leg strap cushions protrude above the support structure, and have a second main surface opposite the first main surface, on which the releasable fastening device is attached such that when the second main surface is attached to a leg strap of the full body harness, the leg strap of the Fastening device is releasably enclosed. The second main surface can be flat or planar, and can therefore lie against the full length of a leg belt of the safety harness.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the carrier structure can have a width in a range between 30 mm and 60 mm, in particular between 40 mm and 50 mm, at least in the section (in particular free of seat belt padding). This width is high enough to promote the function of keeping the femoral vein clear when the user is wearing the harness and is dropping. At the same time, this width is small enough to keep the component compact and lightweight.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the section of the carrier structure which is in particular free of seat belt padding in the distance direction can have a length in a range between 50 mm and 150 mm, in particular in a range between 70 mm and 90 mm. By providing a recess, a depression or a locally softer (in relation to the leg belt pads) area of the dimensions mentioned, the femoral vein can be kept free.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the support structure in the region of the section that is particularly free of seat belt padding can be locally narrowed in the width direction compared to adjacent sections, to which adjacent sections the leg belt padding is attached. This enables a material-saving and low-material configuration to be achieved which, in the area of local narrowing, also has a high degree of flexibility and thus adaptability to anatomical particularities of a user. Adjacent to this locally narrowed area are the two leg belt cushions, which distribute an applied load over a larger surface area and thus impart a comfortable fit to a user.
The wedge-shaped design of the two leg belt cushions can be realized in such a way that the height of the leg belt cushions changes in the direction towards the section arranged between the two leg belt cushions constant or changing slope is increased and then falls with a larger slope and ends at this point in the section with no padding. This wedge-shaped design of the two leg belt cushions ensures a comfortable fit and also allows the femoral vein to be kept free in the event of a sudden fall.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the two leg belt cushions can be formed from an elastic and / or flexible material, in particular from gel and / or foam, furthermore in particular one of the two leg belt cushions made from gel and the other of the two leg belt cushions from foam. Designing a leg belt pad made of gel has the advantage of being particularly adaptable to the body of a user without the total volume of a leg belt pad changing (due to the extensive incompressibility of gels). Configuring a foam leg belt pad, on the other hand, makes it possible to implement a targeted damping or compression function under load through the compressibility of the foam.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the two leg belt cushions can be designed as a multilayered layer structure. In particular, the layers thereof can be softer the further away they are from the support structure. With a leg strap cushion made from several layers of the same or different materials (e.g. foam), it is possible to form the leg strap pad or its textile-coated core from several areas of the same or different dimensions and thus to have a locally varying thickness or a locally varying strength to reach.
Alternatively, the two leg belt cushions can also be formed in one piece, for example as a molded part or a foamed part. This allows cost-effective production.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the fastening device can have at least two pairs of fastening lugs, each pair of fastening lugs having fastening elements which interact to form a releasable connection. The tabs can clearly or partially be guided around the leg strap and then releasably attached to the leg strap. This creates an uncomplicated and intuitively manageable component for a user, which at the same time can be reliably attached to the harness. As an alternative or in addition to fastening straps, fastening loops can also be provided.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the fastening elements can be selected from a group consisting of Velcro elements, magnetic elements, adhesive elements and mechanical locking elements. Fastening elements of this type can be manufactured inexpensively and nevertheless permit the component to be fastened in a robust manner to a safety harness.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the component can have an edging structure which surrounds the support structure in a ring shape and to which the two leg belt pads and the fastening device are fastened. Such an edging structure or edging can be made, for example, from a textile material, plastic or rubber and cover any sharp edges of the support structure in order to increase operational safety. Such an edging structure can also protect the support structure from wear due to mechanical influences.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the edging structure can be formed from fabric, which with at least one of the Support structure, the leg belt pad and the fastening device is sewn or glued. This allows the edging structure to be manufactured cost-effectively.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the length of the component can be between 20 cm and 40 cm, in particular between 25 cm and 35 cm. As a result, the component can be made compact and light-weight and nevertheless have a sufficiently large body contact area in order to distribute the forces occurring in the event of a fall over a sufficiently large area of the user's body without the occurrence of painful force peaks.
According to an alternative embodiment, an edging structure can also be omitted. As a result, the component can be manufactured particularly inexpensively and lightweight.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the leg belt cushions can be pillow-shaped. The leg belt cushions can therefore show a certain flexibility under mechanical load and thus provide a mechanical damping function. The pillow-shaped leg belt cushions can moreover be in force-distributing operative contact with the body of the user over a two-dimensional surface area.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the harness may be configured to maintain blood flow through the femoral vein even when the user is wearing the harness and falling into the harness. As a result, if the user suffers a fall, the user can be effectively protected from a possibly life-threatening orthostatic shock.

The
