Definitions
- the invention relates to a modular polyhedron object, preferably in cuboid, prism or cube shape, with at least four outer surfaces of different shape and / or color in the assembled state, as in the preamble of claim 1 and claim 11 in connection with a modular Cube object is specified.
- Such objects consist of a plurality of individual building blocks, which can be variably assembled and each form part of the shape and / or color of each outer surface of the object in the assembled state of the object.
- the object according to the invention is composed of individual, likewise a polyhedron-containing blocks in various ways, so to speak. If the individual building blocks are intended to be combined with one another to form the entire object, the outer surfaces each form a uniform design, for example in the form of a color design, a motif or symbols.
- Such modular objects are used, for example, for the training of spatial imagination.
- such objects can also be used as a three-dimensional visualization medium to display content on the respective exterior surfaces of the modular object variably and in three dimensions.
- Such objects have hitherto been known, for example, in the form of image cubes, which consist of individual, square building blocks, on each of which a part of an overall motif is depicted and which in a certain state of an assembly reproduce an overall motif.
- Another type of such cubic objects are the so-called rotating cubes, in which individual cubes with different outer versions are coupled in the interior of a special mechanism, so they always have a firm cohesion as a whole despite adjustability.
- the object according to the invention is intended to enable a higher degree of complexity and greater variability than previous such objects with the simplest possible structure of the individual components.
- the modular object according to the invention is constructed of a plurality of individual building blocks of the same size and shape and has at least four outer surfaces of different shape and / or color in the assembled state, wherein the individual blocks each have a part of the respective shape and / or Color design of each outer surface form a module.
- the object can be assembled loosely or with detachable connection means to an overall object variably.
- the individual building blocks of this module within the object have at least four differently shaped side surfaces of the type that, if the object is congruently assembled, both identically designed exterior surfaces result on each side of the object, and the side surfaces of the building blocks that are respectively opposite in the interior of the object, where there are vertically and horizontally matching pair codings.
- the individual building blocks can thus be assembled in different ways, but only with a correct, shape-congruent assembly of the blocks, the uniformly shaped outer surfaces of the object arise.
- the differently shaped or shaped side surfaces of the individual building blocks are both a respective component of the design of the outer surfaces of the object and a coding for the composition of the individual building blocks for the correct, shape-congruent structure of the modular polyhedron object.
- Respective interior side surfaces of the blocks are always in accordance with the invention of correspondingly shaped or designed side surfaces of iedem adjacent building block.
- the shape and shape of the individual building blocks of the object according to the invention is chosen so that a coincidence of the embodiments of the side surfaces in total both inside adjacent building blocks as well as a uniform shape of the design of the entire outer surface of each side of the object is present.
- the coding for a correct composition of the object is achieved equally by the various individual designs of the side surfaces, which at the same time form part of the overall design of the outer surface of the object in the state of correct assembly.
- Each type of execution of the side surfaces of the blocks is, so to speak, the connecting means for the construction of the object.
- the execution of the individual side surfaces of the blocks can be, for example, a color design with or without symbols.
- the different embodiments of the side surfaces of the individual blocks are formed with each interlocking recesses and elevations of at least four different shapes.
- an additional coding for the assembly of the building blocks to the object can be given with the depressions and elevations.
- a certain cohesion of the building blocks can be produced during construction, so that the object already has a certain hold without additional (alternative) connection means.
- each cube module has releasable connection means.
- releasable connection means for example, connectors, adhesive bonds or the like can be used, as long as the blocks variable, d. H. with their different sides differently aligned, can be put together and be taken apart again.
- the releasable connection means have the advantage that the object has greater stability even without outer sheaths or the like. In addition, they help to hold the object together for transportation and after the construction has taken place.
- the execution of the side surfaces of the individual building blocks may also be part of an overall pictorial motif which, in conjunction with the associated building blocks, may form an overall motif of each side of the object.
- the respective different type of execution of the side surfaces of the blocks may also be formed with relief-like shapes, ie in a non-planar surface.
- this is not restrictive, and the design of the side surfaces of the individual blocks can also take place via other forms of coding, as long as each may give different, uniform identifications for the outer surfaces of the entire object and the individual blocks with according to the invention at least four, or for example five designed differently shaped or shaped side surfaces.
- each individual building block of the object at least four, five or six different versions of side surfaces. That is, the single device is provided with different side surfaces such that there are at least four different types of side surfaces in each device of a modular object.
- each block within the object has a unique shape through its differently shaped side surfaces.
- the individual blocks are therefore each a unique and find no equivalent in another block and the same object.
- the object can be used as To combine a three-dimensional puzzle in a correct manner only with high concentration and in consideration of all side surfaces of the individual building blocks both inside and on the outside.
- the different embodiments of the side surfaces of the blocks are realized by means of a combined color and shape design.
- a color design alone or a shape design alone can be used as an identifier for the respective side surfaces of the blocks.
- the marking or design of the side surfaces is also possible by means of symbols or logos or other similar ciphers such as relief-like surfaces, as long as an assignment of the correct assembly by matching side surfaces of each adjoining building blocks is possible and on the respective sides of the object as a whole distinctive designs or content in shape-congruent assembly.
- a combined color and shape of the side surfaces of the design freedom for the production of the object is increased, and it can, for example, color images as a form of visualization on the outer surfaces of the object can be realized from the individual designs of the side surfaces of the blocks in the correct, predefined structure automatically arise.
- at least four outer surfaces can be realized with a symmetrical, uniform color design, while the other outer surfaces carry a motif of a product or a national flag. Only in the correct shape-congruent assembly of the building blocks based on the coding according to the invention will the latter arise and be visible.
- the different embodiments of the respective side surfaces of the blocks on a number or letter coding can be used alone as well as in addition to a color or motivational design. Coding by means of numbers or letters has the advantage that, for example, when used as a training object, the degree of difficulty is further increased in order to carry out the correct assembly.
- the object is further characterized according to the invention characterized in that in the correct shape congruent assembly of the object, the individual codes on the outer surfaces of the object are uniform and inside the opposite side surfaces of the blocks each have the same code (letter or number).
- the respective different shape and / or color of the outer surface result in a jigsaw puzzle-shaped motif in the predefined state of a correct, congruent assembly of the individual building blocks of the object.
- the Overall, the object shows on its outer sides a complete motif, for example an image of a product or object, which arises only in a single, correct assembly of the building blocks. Incorrect assembly of the individual components, ie if the coding is not properly taken into account by the respective shaped side surfaces of the blocks, does not result in the desired motif on the outer sides. It can be immediately recognized whether or not the coincidence has been maintained inside the opposing shapes of side surfaces, otherwise the outer motifs on the outer surfaces of the object will not adjust.
- the invention can be used, for example, as a multi-dimensional presentation object for products with both external and internal representation or as a learning or training device for practicing spatial imagination.
- the consistent three-dimensionality of the forms of side-piece shapes makes assembly particularly challenging and requires high concentration from the user when the object is used, for example, as a puzzle game or for competitions. Even with a repeated use of the object, the degree of complexity remains difficult due to the special design of the individual building blocks, each with at least five different, individualized side surfaces.
- the different design is provided in the design of the side surfaces of the blocks with an asymmetrical in relation to the block motif.
- an asymmetrical motif in the degree of complexity lower.
- Such an embodiment in addition to considering the (inner) codings, also requires the correct alignment of the respective asymmetrical symbols to be properly aligned with the symbols on the adjacent building blocks of each side surface of the object. With this information can be given for the correct construction of the object.
- the modular polyhedron object is composed of 16, 27 blocks, 64 blocks, 125 individual blocks, 216 or 512 individual blocks.
- the system of 27 consists of three individual building blocks each in width, depth and height, and the 64-system consists of four or the 125 system of five building blocks per dimension.
- objects can be produced with 216 or 512 individual components. The variability and complexity of the modular Object is then correspondingly higher. There is also the version with 32 or 48 blocks.
- the Fig. 1 shows in a perspective view of a first embodiment of a cube-shaped object 10, consisting of twenty-seven individual building blocks 20.
- the building blocks 20 are in the assembled state of the cube object 10 each three in width, depth and height.
- Each of the building blocks 20 is provided with at least four differently designed side surfaces 21, which in this embodiment and for the purpose of facilitating the explanation of the principle of the invention, are realized here in the form of numbers as connection means.
- the figures as possible embodiments of the side surfaces 21 of the blocks 20 are, however, to be seen only as an example, and there may be other motivic or color designs or shapes of the side surfaces 21 of the blocks 20 as For example, geometric shapes, simple colors or pictorial motifs can be used for this.
- each module 20 is provided in its design in this example with at least five different side surfaces 21 and in this embodiment also a unique within each cube object 10. That is, this cube object 10 consisting of twenty-seven individual blocks 20 each has each block 20 in his certain form and execution only once.
- the execution of the individual building blocks 20 is chosen such that, given a correct, shape-congruent assembly of the cube object, both uniform outer surfaces 11 of the cube object 10 result on all six sides (cf. Fig. 1 ) as well as inside the embodiments of the side surfaces 21 correspond, each of adjacent building blocks 20 and lie against each other.
- FIG. 2 is a block 20 of a second embodiment of a cube object in the form of a cube cross and a partially folded three-dimensional cube cross to illustrate the representations of the blocks 20 of the cube systems in the form of cubes shown crosses.
- the Fig. 3 shows a third embodiment of a possible form of blocks 20 for an embodiment of a cube cross in corresponding representations as a cube cross (left hand) and the three-dimensional composition of the individual side surfaces 21 of the block 20, which are each formed with at least five different embodiments on the side surfaces 21.
- the middle square is the bottom side surface 21, and the bottom surface is the respective side surface 21 on the top of the building block 20.
- the other four surfaces form the respective lateral side surfaces, ie, rear, front, right and Left.
- the module 20 of the cube object 10 is provided with at least four different embodiments of side surfaces 21, ie only at least one form of a side surface is repeated, in the example of Fig. 3 the black side surfaces 21 top and right.
- the building blocks 20 of the cube object are here regular squares and can be made, for example, of wood or another material that can be realized with different shapes of side surfaces.
- the different shapes of the side surfaces 21 of the building blocks 20 of each cube object 10 are preferably realized in the form of color designs or with motifs of images or by means of symbols. However, differing side surfaces 21 may also be used in the mold as long as at least four differently shaped side surfaces 21 are present in each component 20.
- the lowest level building blocks 20 of one embodiment of a cube object 10 having twenty seven individual building blocks 20 are shown.
- the Fig. 2b shows the shape of the individual middle-level building blocks 20 and the Fig. 2c those of the top level of the building blocks of this embodiment.
- the blocks 20 are realized such that they are in the assembled state at the outer Side surfaces 20 and the lower side (bottom) are made the same.
- the middle side surface of the individual cubes 1.1.1 to 1.3.3 is realized here with the points in the middle gray area and a skew hatching in all blocks 20 equal.
- This correspondence or coincidence of abutting side surfaces 21 thus forms a kind of coding for the three-dimensional assembly of the individual building blocks 20 of the cube object 10 in order to obtain in the finished modular cube object the respective outer shapes of the outer surfaces 11 in a unitary form.
- the differently shaped side surfaces 21 of the module 20 is thus given a kind of connection means for the assembly of the cube object, which can be performed both by a different design by means of motifs, colors, symbols or the like, but also with different shapes.
- FIG. 2 . 2a to 2c an embodiment of a cube object with twenty-seven individual building blocks 20 is shown in the corresponding Fig. 3 . 3a to 3d shows a further embodiment of a cube-shaped object 10 according to the invention with sixty-four individual building blocks, ie with four levels and in each case four individual building blocks in the depth, the width and the height of the assembled cube object.
- the individual side surfaces 21 of the differently designed components 20 are embodied here in a different form in order to explain that what matters is not the nature or shape of the motifs or the color of the side surfaces, but that after Invention are realized in each case at least four different side surfaces 21 in each individual block 20.
- Also in this further embodiment according to the Fig. 3a to 3d are respectively on the outer outer surfaces 11 of the entire cube object 10 only matching shapes of side surfaces 21 as well as in the interior of each opposite side surfaces 21 of the blocks 20th
- the side surfaces 21 of the cube 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 which are opposite each other, designed white, and those of the cubes located above 1.2.1 and 1.2.2 executed in a checkered form.
- the side surfaces 21 of the blocks 20 both the means for the predefined correct assembly of the cube 10 and, as regards the outer surfaces 11, each a part or component of the outer surfaces 11 forming uniform Execution of the Cube Object 10.
- the other three levels of the cube object of sixty four individual building blocks 20, which are each a unique piece according to this embodiment, are shown in the corresponding representations of the cube crosses in the Fig. 3b . 3c and 3d ,
- the respective cube object 10 is assembled with its individual building blocks 20 in the predefined form of the composition (cf. Fig. 1 ), all six outer surfaces 11 of the cube object 10 are each provided with different contents, representations or motifs, ie with six different designs on all six sides of the cube object.
- the composition of the respective modular cube object 10 is coded on the basis of the respective embodiment of the side faces 21 of the building blocks 20, which serves for the correct construction and defines the composition of the building blocks 20.
- Each individual module 20 is advantageously unique, ie it differs from every other module 20 of a cube object 10 due to the at least five different side surfaces 21 per module 20.
- the cube object 10 is thus in each horizontal as well as in each vertical inner plane the side surfaces 21 of the blocks 20 brought into agreement.
- the outer surfaces 11 themselves of the entire cube object 10 are each likewise formed in a same manner or a related form of embodiments, be it by means of the color coding, an alphanumeric marking or by means of pictorial motifs or partial motifs which are required for the use of the cube object 10 can serve as a visualization medium or multi-dimensional display or the like.
- five of the outer surfaces 11 of the cube-shaped object 10 may be realized in a same color, respectively, while the sixth outer surface 11 is formed in the shape-congruent, ie, inner color-matching, construction with an image such as a national flag. The latter would then be virtually the visualization serving top or front of the finished cube object.
- the illustrated as an example modular cube object 10 is especially well suited as a device for training the spatial imagination. Due to the special design and execution of the individual building blocks 20, a spatial three-dimensional assembly of all six sides of each building block 20 is to be observed throughout in order to arrive at the predefined, correct shape of assembling the cube object from the building blocks 20. Unlike conventional systems of this type, such as so-called rotary cubes, not only is there a form correspondence on the outer sides of the elements in the defined state, but in addition, the inner side surfaces 21 must always be taken into account in their respective design.
- the individual blocks 20 according to the illustrated embodiments can be loosely variably assembled with each other or with releasable connection means, which ensure easy matching and a better grip of the blocks 20 to each other.
- the illustrated embodiments relate to a cube object 10 each having twenty-seven or sixty-four building blocks 20.
- a larger number of building blocks 20 may be provided, for example one hundred twenty-five or two hundred sixteen, as long as the individual building blocks 20 and the exterior surfaces 11 of the cube object are realized with equal cuboid shapes , which are made with at least four and a maximum of six different designs per side surface 21.

Description
The invention relates to a modular polyhedron object, preferably in cuboid, prism or cube shape, with at least four outer surfaces of different shape and / or color in the assembled state, as in the preamble of
Such objects consist of a plurality of individual building blocks, which can be variably assembled and each form part of the shape and / or color of each outer surface of the object in the assembled state of the object. The object according to the invention is composed of individual, likewise a polyhedron-containing blocks in various ways, so to speak. If the individual building blocks are intended to be combined with one another to form the entire object, the outer surfaces each form a uniform design, for example in the form of a color design, a motif or symbols.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a modular polyhedron object consisting of individual building blocks, which by its configuration and shape offers new possibilities of using such multi-part modular objects. The object according to the invention is intended to enable a higher degree of complexity and greater variability than previous such objects with the simplest possible structure of the individual components.
This object is achieved with the modular polyhedron object having the features of
The modular object according to the invention is constructed of a plurality of individual building blocks of the same size and shape and has at least four outer surfaces of different shape and / or color in the assembled state, wherein the individual blocks each have a part of the respective shape and / or Color design of each outer surface form a module. The object can be assembled loosely or with detachable connection means to an overall object variably. The individual building blocks of this module within the object have at least four differently shaped side surfaces of the type that, if the object is congruently assembled, both identically designed exterior surfaces result on each side of the object, and the side surfaces of the building blocks that are respectively opposite in the interior of the object, where there are vertically and horizontally matching pair codings.
The individual building blocks can thus be assembled in different ways, but only with a correct, shape-congruent assembly of the blocks, the uniformly shaped outer surfaces of the object arise. The differently shaped or shaped side surfaces of the individual building blocks are both a respective component of the design of the outer surfaces of the object and a coding for the composition of the individual building blocks for the correct, shape-congruent structure of the modular polyhedron object. Respective interior side surfaces of the blocks are always in accordance with the invention of correspondingly shaped or designed side surfaces of iedem adjacent building block. The shape and shape of the individual building blocks of the object according to the invention is chosen so that a coincidence of the embodiments of the side surfaces in total both inside adjacent building blocks as well as a uniform shape of the design of the entire outer surface of each side of the object is present. With this measure and the special design of the individual building blocks for the construction of the object becomes a high complexity with comparatively simple Means achieved. The coding for a correct composition of the object is achieved equally by the various individual designs of the side surfaces, which at the same time form part of the overall design of the outer surface of the object in the state of correct assembly. Each type of execution of the side surfaces of the blocks is, so to speak, the connecting means for the construction of the object. The execution of the individual side surfaces of the blocks can be, for example, a color design with or without symbols.
The different embodiments of the side surfaces of the individual blocks are formed with each interlocking recesses and elevations of at least four different shapes. Alternatively or in addition to a color design or a design of a shape or a symbol, an additional coding for the assembly of the building blocks to the object can be given with the depressions and elevations. In addition, with slight depressions and elevations on the side surfaces of the building blocks, a certain cohesion of the building blocks can be produced during construction, so that the object already has a certain hold without additional (alternative) connection means.
Furthermore, the building blocks of each cube module have releasable connection means. As releasable connection means, for example, connectors, adhesive bonds or the like can be used, as long as the blocks variable, d. H. with their different sides differently aligned, can be put together and be taken apart again. The releasable connection means have the advantage that the object has greater stability even without outer sheaths or the like. In addition, they help to hold the object together for transportation and after the construction has taken place.
The execution of the side surfaces of the individual building blocks may also be part of an overall pictorial motif which, in conjunction with the associated building blocks, may form an overall motif of each side of the object. Alternatively, the respective different type of execution of the side surfaces of the blocks may also be formed with relief-like shapes, ie in a non-planar surface. However, this is not restrictive, and the design of the side surfaces of the individual blocks can also take place via other forms of coding, as long as each may give different, uniform identifications for the outer surfaces of the entire object and the individual blocks with according to the invention at least four, or for example five designed differently shaped or shaped side surfaces.
For the correct assembly of the object, in which the respective adjacent side surfaces of the building blocks in the interior are consistent and If the correct shape of each outer surface of the entire object is obtained, one must consider for the assembly both the visible outer surfaces and the internal horizontal and vertical planes between the individual components. For the assembly, therefore, a kind of three-dimensional coding of the side surfaces of the building blocks is provided in several planes both in the vertical direction and in the horizontal direction and outside as well as inside of the object. With such a modular polyhedron object, therefore, not only the spatial imagination and the imagination can be well trained. Also, in this way, the number of possibilities of assembling the individual components is significantly increased, and yet only a single, defined with the coding of the side surfaces correct structure of the object is given. Since not only on the outer surfaces of the overall object do the results of the execution of the side surfaces of the blocks, but also in the interior of the individual horizontal and vertical planes, the possibilities of a three-dimensional visualization of content or motifs are increased. For example, with an object consisting of a total of twenty-seven individual building blocks, it is already possible to reproduce predefined shapes or pictures on all sides with nine of the building blocks of a single layer.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, each individual building block of the object at least four, five or six different versions of side surfaces. That is, the single device is provided with different side surfaces such that there are at least four different types of side surfaces in each device of a modular object.
According to experiments and investigations of the inventor, it has surprisingly been found in the design of the individual building blocks that, although they can be variably combined in a very large number of possibilities, only the predefined conformity in the interior can be combined in a single form of assembly opposite side surfaces as well as the uniform shape of each of the outer surfaces of the entire object results. Of the large number of possible ways of assembling the individual components, only one is therefore the correct one, which is to be made on the basis of the codes, which are a kind of means for connecting the components to one another.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, each block within the object has a unique shape through its differently shaped side surfaces. The individual blocks are therefore each a unique and find no equivalent in another block and the same object. Despite the basically simple construction of the object and its components, this results in a high versatility. For example, the object can be used as To combine a three-dimensional puzzle in a correct manner only with high concentration and in consideration of all side surfaces of the individual building blocks both inside and on the outside.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the different embodiments of the side surfaces of the blocks are realized by means of a combined color and shape design. Alternatively, either a color design alone or a shape design alone can be used as an identifier for the respective side surfaces of the blocks. The marking or design of the side surfaces is also possible by means of symbols or logos or other similar ciphers such as relief-like surfaces, as long as an assignment of the correct assembly by matching side surfaces of each adjoining building blocks is possible and on the respective sides of the object as a whole distinctive designs or content in shape-congruent assembly. With a combined color and shape of the side surfaces of the design freedom for the production of the object is increased, and it can, for example, color images as a form of visualization on the outer surfaces of the object can be realized from the individual designs of the side surfaces of the blocks in the correct, predefined structure automatically arise. For example, at least four outer surfaces can be realized with a symmetrical, uniform color design, while the other outer surfaces carry a motif of a product or a national flag. Only in the correct shape-congruent assembly of the building blocks based on the coding according to the invention will the latter arise and be visible.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the different embodiments of the respective side surfaces of the blocks on a number or letter coding. This can be used alone as well as in addition to a color or motivational design. Coding by means of numbers or letters has the advantage that, for example, when used as a training object, the degree of difficulty is further increased in order to carry out the correct assembly. Again, the object is further characterized according to the invention characterized in that in the correct shape congruent assembly of the object, the individual codes on the outer surfaces of the object are uniform and inside the opposite side surfaces of the blocks each have the same code (letter or number).
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the respective different shape and / or color of the outer surface result in a jigsaw puzzle-shaped motif in the predefined state of a correct, congruent assembly of the individual building blocks of the object. The Overall, the object shows on its outer sides a complete motif, for example an image of a product or object, which arises only in a single, correct assembly of the building blocks. In such an embodiment, the invention can be used, for example, as a multi-dimensional presentation object for products with both external and internal representation or as a learning or training device for practicing spatial imagination. The consistent three-dimensionality of the forms of side-piece shapes makes assembly particularly challenging and requires high concentration from the user when the object is used, for example, as a puzzle game or for competitions. Even with a repeated use of the object, the degree of complexity remains difficult due to the special design of the individual building blocks, each with at least five different, individualized side surfaces.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the different design is provided in the design of the side surfaces of the blocks with an asymmetrical in relation to the block motif. Compared to symmetrical motifs or design features on the side surfaces of the building blocks for the assembly and the production of the outer surfaces is an asymmetrical motif in the degree of complexity lower. Such an embodiment, in addition to considering the (inner) codings, also requires the correct alignment of the respective asymmetrical symbols to be properly aligned with the symbols on the adjacent building blocks of each side surface of the object. With this information can be given for the correct construction of the object.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the modular polyhedron object is composed of 16, 27 blocks, 64 blocks, 125 individual blocks, 216 or 512 individual blocks. The system of 27 consists of three individual building blocks each in width, depth and height, and the 64-system consists of four or the 125 system of five building blocks per dimension. The higher the number of individual building blocks, the higher the difficulty of assembly and the better the spatial imagination must be to properly assemble the object. Alternatively, according to the invention, objects can be produced with 216 or 512 individual components. The variability and complexity of the modular Object is then correspondingly higher. There is also the version with 32 or 48 blocks.
