  • the recess for accommodating the ball 13 is formed in a manner which enables the ball 13 to freely rotate inside the recess while preventing the same from displacing with respect to the coding tumbler 10 in the direction of the sliding movement of the latter in the radial channel 8 .
  • the balls 13 can be replaced with another contact element which can create a rolling contact with a coding edge of a key blade.
  • Such contact element can assume, for example, a shape of a cylindrical or barrel-like roller etc.
  • the contact element has a circular cross-section in a plane which defines the direction of the movement of the key being slid into the lock or out of the same.
  • the shape of the recess formed at the working end 12 of the coding tumbler 10 must be adapted to that of the contact element in order that the latter is enabled to perform a rotational movement around an axis, which is perpendicular to the plane encompassing the direction of the insertion of the key into the key channel 9 .
  • the rotating contact element must be prevented from falling out of the recess in any radial direction with respect to the cylindrical lock core 2 .
  • a rolling contact of the contact element with the coding edge of the key is achieved, causing the contact element to rotate around its axis extending in the movement direction of the key when the key is being slid into or out of the key channel 9 .
  • the contact element extends beyond the working end 12 of the coding tumbler 10 .
  • the structural arrangement of the coding tumbler 10 according to the present invention namely the arrangement comprising the working end 12 provided with a contact element for providing a rolling contact with a key, reduces the wear of the coding tumbler and the key during the operation of the lock, on the one hand, and makes the movement of the key being slid into / out of the key channel considerably smoother, on the other hand.
  • the coding tumblers 10 may also have a split arrangement which means that they comprise first portion with a supporting end 11 and a second portion with a working end 12 .

Claims (7)

  1. Un piston (10) de codage adapté pour être monté de manière coulissante à l'intérieur d'un noyau (2) de verrouillage cylindrique d'une serrure à cylindre et qui comprend une extrémité (11) de support pour maintenir le contact avec un piston (6) de blocage et une extrémité (12) de travail, caractérisé en ce que l'extrémité (12) de travail comprend un évidement, dans lequel un élément de contact est logé avec un jeu, ledit élément de contact
    - étant fixé contre son désengagement de l'évidement dans la direction de l'axe longitudinal du piston (10) de codage, et
    - ayant, dans au moins une partie, une section transversale circulaire pour fournir un contact de roulement avec un bord de codage d'une clé insérée dans la serrure à cylindre.
  2. Le piston de codage selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que l'élément de contact s'étend au-delà de l'extrémité (12) de travail du piston (10) de codage.
  3. Le piston de codage selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisé en ce que l'élément de contact a la forme d'une bille (13) ou d'un cylindre ou d'un baril.
  4. Un noyau (2) de verrouillage cylindrique pour une serrure à cylindre, ledit noyau de verrouillage comprenant un canal (9) de clé pour insérer une clé et au moins un canal (8) radial qui débouche dans le canal (9) de clé, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend en outre au moins un piston (10) de codage selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3, ledit piston de codage étant monté de manière coulissante dans le canal (8) radial.
  5. Le noyau (2) de verrouillage cylindrique selon la revendication 4, caractérisé en ce que le canal (8) radial est pourvu d'évidements (14) de guidage pour guider le piston (10) de codage, les évidements (14) de guidage étant élargis dans la zone, où ils débouchent dans le canal (8) radial, afin de former des surfaces d'appui pour l'élément de contact, lesdites surfaces d'appui empêchant ledit élément de contact de désengager hors de l'évidement dans la direction qui est parallèle à l'axe longitudinal du noyau (2) de la serrure à cylindre.
  6. Serrure à cylindre, comprenant
    - un boîtier (1) pourvu d'une cavité cylindrique et d'au moins une chambre (3) de guidage disposée dans la direction radiale par rapport à la cavité cylindrique du boîtier (1),
    - un noyau (2) de verrouillage cylindrique disposé de manière rotative dans la cavité cylindrique du boîtier (1) et muni d'un canal de clé pour insérer une clé et avec au moins un canal (8) radial qui peut être réglé sur une position dans laquelle il est coaxial à la chambre (3) de guidage,
    - au moins un piston (6) de blocage, qui est monté de manière coulissante dans la chambre (3) de guidage, et
    - au moins un ressort (7) disposé dans la chambre (3) de guidage et poussant le piston (6) de blocage dans la direction de la chambre (3) de guidage vers la cavité cylindrique,
    caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend en outre au moins un piston (10) de codage selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3, ledit piston de codage étant monté de manière coulissante dans le canal (8) radial.
  7. Serrure à cylindre selon la revendication 6, caractérisée en ce que le canal (8) radial est pourvu d'évidements (14) de guidage pour guider le piston (10) de codage, les évidements (14) de guidage étant élargis dans la zone où ils débouchent dans le canal (8) radial, afin de former des surfaces d'appui pour l'élément de contact.
