Claims

A bed (1, 17) with a liftable and rotatable mattress (3, 21), wherein the mattress (3, 21) has at least two pins (4, 31) which are placed on two parallel sides of the mattress (3, 21) and form together a horizontal center axis of rotation for the mattress (3, 31), wherein the pins (4, 31) are placed on respective lifting mechanisms (7,8, 23,24, 28,29) which are designed to support the mattress (3, 21) in a position in which it can be rotated by 180° about a horizontal axis, characterized in that each lifting mechanism (7,8, 23,24, 28,29) is composed of two elements (7,8, 23,24, 24, 28,29) that can be extended and retracted, wherein the elements comprise a cylinder (7, 8, 23, 24) and a rod (28, 29) that can be extracted from the cylinder (7, 8, 23, 24), wherein the cylinders (7, 8, 23, 24) can be fixed with their bases (25, 26) at a distance from each other through floor-mounted articulations (25, 26), the rods (28, 29) converging into a joint to form at their tops a support for the pins (4, 31), the joint (30) cooperating with the horizontal center axis of rotation of the mattress (3, 21).
A bed (1 , 17) as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the pins (4, 30) are located on a longitudinal axis of rotation of the mattress (3; 21).
A bed (1 , 17) as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the pins are formed by the provision of a shaft (12) having pulleys (13) at its ends to form the supports.
A bed (1, 17) as claimed in claim 2, characterized in that the shaft (12) is a tube or a bar.
A bed (1, 17) as claimed in claim 1 , characterized in that at least one insert (11, 14) is provided as a reinforcement between the faces of the mattress (3) having one support (4, 31) at the two parallel sides of the mattress.
A bed (1, 17) as claimed in claim 5, characterized in that each insert (11, 14) is composed of at least one panel, one ring or compressed air or pressurized oil chambers.
A bed (1 , 17) as claimed in claim 1 , characterized in that the joint (30) is part of a four-bar linkage (33), is opposed to an articulation (34) of the four-bar linkage (33) and is connected to the articulation (34) by means of a wire (35), the wire being able to be wound around a pulley (36) that can rotate in the joint (30) and being able to be wound by a winding angle (37) that corresponds to a 180° rotation, the length of the wire (35) being selected for the wire to be stretched in the position in which the portion of the wire that is wound on the pulley (36) requires 180° to be entirely unwound and move the lifting mechanism (22) to its highest position.
A bed (1, 17) as claimed in claim 7, characterized in that each cylinder (23 and 24) is equipped with at least one arm (38 and 39 respectively), at each of the rods (28, 29), each supporting at least one wheel (40 and 41 respectively) at its free end, for cooperating with a plate (42), when the latter is extracted from a pocket (43) disposed on an upper side of a profile (44) of the frame (19).
