Claims (12)

  1. Device for applying a glue track (6) to a moving wrapping strip (1) of a rod-shaped product of the tobacco processing industry, comprising
    - a nozzle (2) which is fixed relative to the wrapping strip (1) during the application of the glue track (6) and has
    - an outlet opening (3) which is directed towards the passing wrapping strip (1), from which opening the glue discharges,
    - a roller (4) which can be rotationally driven by means of a drive device being provided between the wrapping strip (1) and the outlet opening (3) of the nozzle (2), onto which roller the glue discharging from the outlet opening (3) is applied, and which roller applies the glue directly onto the wrapping strip (1),
    - the direction of rotation of the roller (4) being directed such that the movement of the roller (4) on the side facing the passing wrapping strip (1) is directed counter to the movement of the wrapping strip (1),
    characterised in that
    - the rim side (7) of the outlet opening that is arranged downstream with respect to the direction of rotation of the roller (4) is shaped so as to project in the direction of the roller (4).
  2. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that
    - the speed of the roller (4) can be changed.
  3. Device according to claim 2, characterised in that
    - the roller (4) has a diameter of 2 to 12 mm and is driven at a speed of 1000 rpm to 12000 rpm.
  4. Device according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that
    - the distance between the roller (4) and the outlet opening (3) of the nozzle (2) is approximately 0.05 to 0.15 mm.
  5. Device according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that
    - at least two outlet openings (3) are provided which are arranged behind one another in the axial direction of the roller (4), from which openings the glue is applied to the roller (4).
  6. Device according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that
    - the roller (4) is formed by a shaft which extends out from an electric motor (5).
  7. Device according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that
    - the region in which the glue is applied to the roller (4) and the region in which the glue is applied to the wrapping strip (1) by the roller (4) are arranged opposite one another on the roller (4).
  8. Device according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that
    - the glue has a viscosity of at least 180 mPas.
  9. Device according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that
    - the glue is applied in an amount of 5 g to 40 g per 500 m length of the wrapping strip (1).
  10. Device according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that
    - the roller (4) is arranged eccentrically with respect to the outlet opening (3) of the nozzle (2).
  11. Device according to claim 10, characterised in that
    - the roller (4) is eccentrically offset in the direction of the edge of the outlet opening (3) of the nozzle (2), which edge is arranged downstream with respect to the direction of rotation of the roller (4).
  12. Device according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that
    - the transport speed of the wrapping strip (1) is between 100 m/min and 700 m/min.
