Definitions
- the invention relates to a reaction vessel with lid (hereinafter also “lid vessel”) made of plastic for laboratory use.
- Known plastic lidded containers for laboratory use have a tubular vessel having at the bottom a vessel bottom, at the top a vessel opening and below the vessel opening at the inside wall a sealing area.
- a lid having a lid bottom and a stopper protruding from the inside of the lid bottom is insertable through the vessel opening into a sealing position in the sealing area.
- the lid is sealed and held by the clamping force of the plug in the vessel.
- a sample liquid filled in the vessel is heated and has an increased vapor pressure.
- PCR Polymerase Chain Reaction
- samples in lidded vessels are repeatedly heated to temperatures above 90 ° C.
- the clamping force of the plug shall be such as to ensure adequate vapor tightness and not to loosen the lid due to the increased vapor pressure.
- a great deal of effort is required to press the lid with the stopper in the vessel.
- the user To open the lid, the user must press firmly against the lower edge of a protruding edge of the lid bottom.
- US 5,674,456 A and US 5,863,791 are lidding vessels of the type described above, in which the vessel and lid are integrally connected to each other via a hinge hinge pivotally.
- the lid has a locking hook protruding downwards from a laterally projecting lid flange, and the vessel has, in addition to the vessel opening, a locking cam engaged behind in the closed position by the locking hook.
- the rigid locking hook snaps under elastic deformation the cover flange behind the locking cam, whereby the lid is secured in the closed position.
- locking hook and locking cam only a small overlap. Due to the low overlap, the locking hook can unintentionally release from the locking cam, for example, when the internal pressure in the vessel increases. When opening the lid, the locking hook can jerky release from the locking cam, which liquid sample can be sprayed from the vessel.
- the WO 2012/083995 A1 and US 2012/328490 A1 describe a lidded vessel made of plastic for laboratory use with a tubular vessel having a bottom of the vessel bottom, above a vessel opening and below the vessel opening on the inner wall has a sealing area.
- the lidded vessel has a lid having a lid bottom and a stopper projecting from the inside of the lid bottom, which is insertable through the vessel opening into a sealing position in the sealing area.
- the lidded vessel has locking means for releasably locking the lid to the vessel.
- the locking means comprise at least one of the upper edge of the vessel radially outwardly projecting latching projection and at least one projecting from the underside of the lid bottom flexible and elastic tab on which at a distance from the lid bottom vertically below the connection of the tab to the lid bottom a locking edge is arranged which is snap-fit under the latching projection during insertion of the plug into the sealing area. From the tab is laterally outwardly a key, the latching of the locking edge with the locking projection by pressing down against the key can be canceled.
- the stopper To close the lidded vessel, the stopper is inserted into the vessel opening and placed in sealing position in the sealing area. In this case, the locking edge slides over the latching projection, whereby the flexible tab is deflected slightly laterally outwards. Finally, the elastic tab pivots the locking edge under the lower edge of the locking projection, whereby the lid is locked to the vessel. To open the user presses against the underside of the button, whereby the flexible flap is pivoted outwards, the locking edge of the locking projection is released and the unlocked lid is moved out with the stopper from the vessel.
- the lidded vessel certainly withstands higher internal pressure loads, larger operating forces do not have to be applied for closing and opening.
- the disadvantage is that the opening of the vessel is unusual for the user, because it requires an unusual force in the vertical direction against the button below the lid bottom. If the user presses horizontally or slightly obliquely from below against the edge of the lid as in the case of conventional lidded containers, there is a risk that the locking elements will break off when the force is applied.
- the user For correct opening, the user must understand the functional principle of the lidded container or learn the correct operation of the key. The change from the long practiced handling is difficult.
- the one-hand operation is less user-friendly, since when holding the lid vessel with the fingers pushing up the button with the thumb is more difficult and the vessel must be held firm than pressing the thumb in approximately horizontal direction against the edge of the lid.
- the object of the invention is to provide a user-friendly lidded container made of plastic for laboratory use create, which can be closed and opened with little effort and safely closes.
- the object is achieved by a lidded vessel with the features of claim 1.
- Advantageous embodiments of the lidded vessel are specified in subclaims.
- the lidded container according to the invention can be closed by inserting the lid with the stopper into the vessel opening and bringing it into a sealing position in the sealing area.
- the user can press in the usual way against the lid bottom.
- the locking edge or an adjacent contour of the flexible and elastic tab slides over the locking projection and thereby the tab is deflected slightly laterally outwards.
- the locking edge reaches the lower edge of the locking projection, it is pivoted by the tab under the underside of the locking projection.
- the lid is locked with the vessel, so that it is secured against accidental opening.
- the user pushes from the side and from the bottom against the outside of the second lever.
- the second lever is pivoted with the upper end closer to the lid bottom.
- the first lever is pivoted upward because the second lever is connected at the bottom to the first lever.
- the tab is pivoted away from the vessel to the outside, so that the locking edge of the locking projection dissolves or lifts off the locking projection.
- the first lever and the second lever are rigid and rigidly interconnected.
- the locking devices can be designed so that the latching edge when swinging the tab outwardly so far released from the locking projection so far that the lid can be opened. For the direct release of the locking edge of the locking projection of the locking projection be sized accordingly short.
- the locking means are formed so that initially the downwardly pivoted first lever rests with the top down on the outer edge of the locking projection and on further pushing against the second lever on the outer edge slides outwards until the locking edge is released completely from the locking projection and the Lid can be opened.
- the lid with the stopper is moved out of the vessel by further pressing against the second lever. Due to the low clamping force of the plug, the lid can be easily lifted after loosening the catch, without it suddenly jumping up and liquid is spilled or aerosols emerge.
- the unlatching of the locking devices is controlled specifically. In this way, an unintentional jerky release of the locking edge of the locking projection and a squirting of liquid sample can be avoided from the vessel.
- the user may apply a substantially horizontal and slightly vertical force to the lid to open the lid.
- the second lever may be configured and arranged to replace the lid edge of a conventional lidded vessel against which the user presses to open.
- the user can operate the lidded container in the usual way and intuitively, without having to change over. In particular, he can easily close the lidded container with one hand and open. Destruction of the locking elements by incorrect operation is avoided. Further, it is possible to open the lid by pressing down against the first lever.
- Lidded vessels according to the invention preferably have a capacity in the range of 1/10 ml to 100 ml. For example, they have a capacity 0.1, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 5, 15 or 50 ml.
- the invention is particularly suitable for large capacity vessels (eg 5, 15 or 50 ml).
- the second lever is inclined at least on the outside, starting from its connection to the first lever to the outside. This facilitates the application of a substantially horizontal and slightly upward force to the outside of the second lever. In addition, this favors the production of the lidded vessel in an injection mold with only two mold halves.
- the second lever is inclined with the outside and the inside, starting from its connection with the first lever to the outside.
- the first lever is in the pivoted state, when the locking edge is released from the latching projection, with the upper side at the lower outer edge of the underside of the latching projection, so that the first lever on further pressing against the second lever with the upper side over the lower outer edge of the locking projection slides until the locking edge of the locking projection is released.
- the locking projection can be dimensioned accordingly.
- the second lever lies with its inner side at a distance from the first lever laterally on the latching projection, when the latching edge is latched to the latching projection, and the second lever is by pressing from the side against the outside of the second lever to the latching projection pivotable.
- the latching projection is formed on a flange which at least partially surrounds the circumference of the upper outer edge of the vessel.
- the flange stabilizes the upper edge of the vessel.
- the flange runs completely around the upper edge of the vessel.
- the locking edge is arranged vertically below the connection of the tab to the lid bottom. This ensures that the tab for holding the lid on the vessel only has to transmit tensile forces. This promotes a particularly flexible design of the tab, whereby the forces required to close and open the lidded vessel can be further reduced.
- the locking edge is supported in locking position on a surface of the locking projection, which is directed tangentially to a radius about the connection of the tab to the lid bottom or in the outward direction of a tangent to the radius away is pivoted downwards. This ensures that the closed lid exerts only tensile forces on the tab. This favors a particularly flexible design of the tab and low closing and opening forces.
- the latching projection on the outer edge above a radius and / or the tab or the first lever on the inner edge below a radius As a result, the initial deflection of the tab when placing on the locking projection is facilitated.
- the latching projection and / or the tab on the inside adjacent to the locking edge on an outer and / or inner chamfer, so that the tab is increasingly deflected laterally during insertion of the plug into the vessel. As a result, the closing of the vessel is further facilitated.
- the second lever is connected to the outer end of the first lever.
- the second lever is extended up to the level of connection of the tab to the lid bottom. This promotes a small amount of force for the opening of the lidded vessel.
- the tab is connected to an outer lid edge and the tab is vertically aligned or inclined outwardly from its connection with the lid edge.
- the first and second levers are laterally offset with respect to the lid bottom. This is advantageous for producing the lidded container with an injection mold with two mold halves. Furthermore, this favors a large range of motion of the second lever, which can facilitate the release of the catch.
- the vessel on the circumference at least one cam on which the tab or the first lever is applied, when the locking edge is locked with the latching projection and / or the tab or the first lever at least one cam, which on the Vessel rests when the latching projection is locked with the locking edge.
- the cam prevents the latching devices from locking even more when pressed against the second lever.
- two cams are arranged on both sides of a vertical plane through the second lever for uniform support.
- the locking edge of the lower edge of a recess of the tab is formed on a latching projection of the tab, which protrudes from the inside of the tab to the vessel.
- the tab has two lateral tab strips, which are connected at the top to the lid base and connected at the bottom to the first lever and between which the recess is present.
- the two tab strips ensure high flexibility of the tab.
- the first lever defines the recess from below, so that the inner upper edge of the first lever is also the locking edge.
- the tab has a single tab strip which is connected at the top to the lid base and connected at the bottom to the first lever, which is wider than the tab strip, wherein at least one side of the tab strip projecting, inner upper edge of the first lever the Locking edge forms.
- the first lever is locked with at least one laterally protruding from the tab strip inner upper edge under the locking projection of the vessel.
- lid and vessel are connected to each other via a hinge.
- the lid is captively connected to the vessel.
- the lidded vessel can be opened and closed while pivoting the lid relative to the vessel. An alignment of the plug on the vessel opening is eliminated.
- the hinge is a band hinge, via which the vessel is integrally connected to the lid.
- the ribbon hinge may include one or more hinge bands that are at least partially flexible.
- the hinge hinge is similar to a living hinge but may be flexible over a longer range perpendicular to the pivoting direction.
- a hinge with at least one hinge strap which is flexible in the longitudinal direction at least in one area, facilitates the insertion of the plug into the vessel opening of a cylindrical vessel, as it allows a compensation movement.
- the lidded container can also be injected in one piece in several injection molding steps from a single or multiple plastics.
- the lid bottom is connected via the hinge hinge with the upper edge of the vessel.
- a device for locking the lid in an open position is present next to the hinge.
- the device for locking can be configured as in the EP 0 841 093 A2 and US 5,863,791 or in the WO 2012/083995 A1 and US 2012/328490 A1 described.
- the vessel has, adjacent to the vessel opening, an insertion area for the stopper, which widens toward the upper edge of the vessel, and the sealing area below. As a result, the closing of the lid container is further facilitated.
- the plug is hollow cylindrical.
- the plug is particularly flexible, whereby the closing and opening of the lid vessel is further facilitated.
- the plug on the outer circumference has a circumferential sealing bead.
- the lidded container according to the invention is made of one or more plastics.
- the lidded vessel as a whole made of one or more elastic plastics.
- the at least one tab is preferably more elastic than the lid and / or the vessel. This can be achieved by suitable shaping of the tab, in particular in that the tab is thinner than the lid and / or the vessel. Furthermore, this can be achieved by using a particularly elastic plastic for the tab.
- the tab is so elastic that for closing and opening the lid is predominantly or exclusively the tab is elastically deformed.
- the first and second levers are preferably formed and / or made of such a plastic as to be rigid when acted upon by forces to be applied to the second lever for opening the lidded vessel.

Description
The invention relates to a reaction vessel with lid (hereinafter also "lid vessel") made of plastic for laboratory use.
Known plastic lidded containers for laboratory use have a tubular vessel having at the bottom a vessel bottom, at the top a vessel opening and below the vessel opening at the inside wall a sealing area. A lid having a lid bottom and a stopper protruding from the inside of the lid bottom is insertable through the vessel opening into a sealing position in the sealing area. The lid is sealed and held by the clamping force of the plug in the vessel. There are applications in which a sample liquid filled in the vessel is heated and has an increased vapor pressure. For example, in Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) technology, samples in lidded vessels are repeatedly heated to temperatures above 90 ° C. The clamping force of the plug shall be such as to ensure adequate vapor tightness and not to loosen the lid due to the increased vapor pressure. As a result, a great deal of effort is required to press the lid with the stopper in the vessel. To open the lid, the user must press firmly against the lower edge of a protruding edge of the lid bottom.

To close the lidded vessel, the stopper is inserted into the vessel opening and placed in sealing position in the sealing area.
Although the lidded vessel certainly withstands higher internal pressure loads, larger operating forces do not have to be applied for closing and opening. The disadvantage, however, is that the opening of the vessel is unusual for the user, because it requires an unusual force in the vertical direction against the button below the lid bottom. If the user presses horizontally or slightly obliquely from below against the edge of the lid as in the case of conventional lidded containers, there is a risk that the locking elements will break off when the force is applied. For correct opening, the user must understand the functional principle of the lidded container or learn the correct operation of the key. The change from the long practiced handling is difficult. In addition, the one-hand operation is less user-friendly, since when holding the lid vessel with the fingers pushing up the button with the thumb is more difficult and the vessel must be held firm than pressing the thumb in approximately horizontal direction against the edge of the lid.
Based on this, the object of the invention is to provide a user-friendly lidded container made of plastic for laboratory use create, which can be closed and opened with little effort and safely closes.
The object is achieved by a lidded vessel with the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the lidded vessel are specified in subclaims. The lidded container according to the invention can be closed by inserting the lid with the stopper into the vessel opening and bringing it into a sealing position in the sealing area. For this purpose, the user can press in the usual way against the lid bottom. When closing the lid, the locking edge or an adjacent contour of the flexible and elastic tab slides over the locking projection and thereby the tab is deflected slightly laterally outwards. When the locking edge reaches the lower edge of the locking projection, it is pivoted by the tab under the underside of the locking projection. As a result, the lid is locked with the vessel, so that it is secured against accidental opening. Due to the flexibility of the tab, no appreciably greater force is required for closing the lid container than for closing conventional lid containers which have no latching. High closing forces can be avoided since the plug only has to be in the sealing position with a clamping force which ensures sufficient vapor-tightness. The locking of the locking edge with the locking projection secures the lid against unintentional opening at elevated internal pressure.
Aerosole austreten. To open the lidded container, the user pushes from the side and from the bottom against the outside of the second lever. As a result, the second lever is pivoted with the upper end closer to the lid bottom. At the same time, the first lever is pivoted upward because the second lever is connected at the bottom to the first lever. In this case, the tab is pivoted away from the vessel to the outside, so that the locking edge of the locking projection dissolves or lifts off the locking projection. For this purpose, preferably the first lever and the second lever are rigid and rigidly interconnected. The locking devices can be designed so that the latching edge when swinging the tab outwardly so far released from the locking projection so far that the lid can be opened. For the direct release of the locking edge of the locking projection of the locking projection be sized accordingly short. Alternatively, the locking means are formed so that initially the downwardly pivoted first lever rests with the top down on the outer edge of the locking projection and on further pushing against the second lever on the outer edge slides outwards until the locking edge is released completely from the locking projection and the Lid can be opened. When the locking edge is released from the locking projection, the lid with the stopper is moved out of the vessel by further pressing against the second lever. Due to the low clamping force of the plug, the lid can be easily lifted after loosening the catch, without it suddenly jumping up and liquid is spilled or aerosols emerge.
By pressing against the second lever the unlatching of the locking devices is controlled specifically. In this way, an unintentional jerky release of the locking edge of the locking projection and a squirting of liquid sample can be avoided from the vessel. As with conventional lidded containers, the user may apply a substantially horizontal and slightly vertical force to the lid to open the lid. The second lever may be configured and arranged to replace the lid edge of a conventional lidded vessel against which the user presses to open. Thus, the user can operate the lidded container in the usual way and intuitively, without having to change over. In particular, he can easily close the lidded container with one hand and open. Destruction of the locking elements by incorrect operation is avoided. Further, it is possible to open the lid by pressing down against the first lever.
Lidded vessels according to the invention preferably have a capacity in the range of 1/10 ml to 100 ml. For example, they have a capacity 0.1, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 5, 15 or 50 ml. The invention is particularly suitable for large capacity vessels (eg 5, 15 or 50 ml).
According to one embodiment, the second lever is inclined at least on the outside, starting from its connection to the first lever to the outside. This facilitates the application of a substantially horizontal and slightly upward force to the outside of the second lever. In addition, this favors the production of the lidded vessel in an injection mold with only two mold halves. Preferably, the second lever is inclined with the outside and the inside, starting from its connection with the first lever to the outside.
According to a further embodiment, the first lever is in the pivoted state, when the locking edge is released from the latching projection, with the upper side at the lower outer edge of the underside of the latching projection, so that the first lever on further pressing against the second lever with the upper side over the lower outer edge of the locking projection slides until the locking edge of the locking projection is released. This favors a secure locking, which can be solved specifically. For this purpose, the locking projection can be dimensioned accordingly.
According to a further embodiment, the second lever lies with its inner side at a distance from the first lever laterally on the latching projection, when the latching edge is latched to the latching projection, and the second lever is by pressing from the side against the outside of the second lever to the latching projection pivotable. By supporting the second lever on the locking projection of the force required for opening the lid is reduced and the lidded vessel is still easier to use.
According to a further embodiment, the latching projection is formed on a flange which at least partially surrounds the circumference of the upper outer edge of the vessel. The flange stabilizes the upper edge of the vessel. Preferably, the flange runs completely around the upper edge of the vessel.
According to one embodiment, the locking edge is arranged vertically below the connection of the tab to the lid bottom. This ensures that the tab for holding the lid on the vessel only has to transmit tensile forces. This promotes a particularly flexible design of the tab, whereby the forces required to close and open the lidded vessel can be further reduced.
According to a further embodiment, the locking edge is supported in locking position on a surface of the locking projection, which is directed tangentially to a radius about the connection of the tab to the lid bottom or in the outward direction of a tangent to the radius away is pivoted downwards. This ensures that the closed lid exerts only tensile forces on the tab. This favors a particularly flexible design of the tab and low closing and opening forces.
According to one embodiment, the latching projection on the outer edge above a radius and / or the tab or the first lever on the inner edge below a radius. As a result, the initial deflection of the tab when placing on the locking projection is facilitated.
According to a further embodiment, the latching projection and / or the tab on the inside adjacent to the locking edge on an outer and / or inner chamfer, so that the tab is increasingly deflected laterally during insertion of the plug into the vessel. As a result, the closing of the vessel is further facilitated.
According to a further embodiment, the second lever is connected to the outer end of the first lever. This design is space and material saving.
According to a further embodiment, the second lever is extended up to the level of connection of the tab to the lid bottom. This promotes a small amount of force for the opening of the lidded vessel.
According to one embodiment, the tab is connected to an outer lid edge and the tab is vertically aligned or inclined outwardly from its connection with the lid edge. As a result, the first and second levers are laterally offset with respect to the lid bottom. This is advantageous for producing the lidded container with an injection mold with two mold halves. Furthermore, this favors a large range of motion of the second lever, which can facilitate the release of the catch.
According to a further embodiment, the vessel on the circumference at least one cam on which the tab or the first lever is applied, when the locking edge is locked with the latching projection and / or the tab or the first lever at least one cam, which on the Vessel rests when the latching projection is locked with the locking edge. The cam prevents the latching devices from locking even more when pressed against the second lever. Preferably, two cams are arranged on both sides of a vertical plane through the second lever for uniform support.
According to a further embodiment, the locking edge of the lower edge of a recess of the tab. Alternatively, the locking edge is formed on a latching projection of the tab, which protrudes from the inside of the tab to the vessel.
According to a further embodiment, the tab has two lateral tab strips, which are connected at the top to the lid base and connected at the bottom to the first lever and between which the recess is present. The two tab strips ensure high flexibility of the tab. The first lever defines the recess from below, so that the inner upper edge of the first lever is also the locking edge.
According to another embodiment, the tab has a single tab strip which is connected at the top to the lid base and connected at the bottom to the first lever, which is wider than the tab strip, wherein at least one side of the tab strip projecting, inner upper edge of the first lever the Locking edge forms. In this embodiment, the first lever is locked with at least one laterally protruding from the tab strip inner upper edge under the locking projection of the vessel.
According to a further embodiment, lid and vessel are connected to each other via a hinge. In this embodiment, the lid is captively connected to the vessel. The lidded vessel can be opened and closed while pivoting the lid relative to the vessel. An alignment of the plug on the vessel opening is eliminated.
According to a further embodiment, the hinge is a band hinge, via which the vessel is integrally connected to the lid. The ribbon hinge may include one or more hinge bands that are at least partially flexible. The hinge hinge is similar to a living hinge but may be flexible over a longer range perpendicular to the pivoting direction. A hinge with at least one hinge strap, which is flexible in the longitudinal direction at least in one area, facilitates the insertion of the plug into the vessel opening of a cylindrical vessel, as it allows a compensation movement. By the one-piece connection of the vessel and lid on the hinge hinge the injection molding of the lid vessel is made possible in a single injection molding step. The lidded container can also be injected in one piece in several injection molding steps from a single or multiple plastics. Preferably, the lid bottom is connected via the hinge hinge with the upper edge of the vessel.
According to a further embodiment, the vessel has, adjacent to the vessel opening, an insertion area for the stopper, which widens toward the upper edge of the vessel, and the sealing area below. As a result, the closing of the lid container is further facilitated.
According to a further embodiment, the plug is hollow cylindrical. As a result, the plug is particularly flexible, whereby the closing and opening of the lid vessel is further facilitated.
According to a further embodiment, the plug on the outer circumference has a circumferential sealing bead. As a result, the vapor-tightness of the lidded vessel is further improved.
The lidded container according to the invention is made of one or more plastics. According to a further embodiment, the lidded vessel as a whole made of one or more elastic plastics. In the manufacture of the lidded vessel made of one or more elastic plastics, the at least one tab is preferably more elastic than the lid and / or the vessel. This can be achieved by suitable shaping of the tab, in particular in that the tab is thinner than the lid and / or the vessel. Furthermore, this can be achieved by using a particularly elastic plastic for the tab. Preferably, the tab is so elastic that for closing and opening the lid is predominantly or exclusively the tab is elastically deformed. The first and second levers are preferably formed and / or made of such a plastic as to be rigid when acted upon by forces to be applied to the second lever for opening the lidded vessel.

To close the
The user can thus operate the lidded vessel 1.1 substantially like a conventional lidded vessel.
