Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for winding and locking a tightening lace. It finds a particular application in the field of lacing personal equipment such as clothing, shoes, helmets, protective equipment by allowing a lacing, more generally a clamping, fast and accurate.
  • the document US-A-8,468,657 discloses a device for winding and locking a lace having a coil and means for locking its rotation.
  • the locking means are constituted by three thin engagement rods secured to one end of the coil and the other end comprises a locking surface capable of being embedded in a toothing to block the rotation of the coil.
  • Each engagement rod forms a ratchet.
  • This document also shows a release surface carried by each of the engagement rods and may be brought into contact with a drive pad of the wheel in order to bend the engagement rods.
  • this system is in practice relatively fragile and not adapted to withstand high tension of the lace.
  • the fragility is further accentuated by the fact that the locking and unlocking surfaces are placed close to each other.
  • the patent IT-A-1,220,811 also discloses a device for winding and locking a lace which partially solves the problem of fragility.
  • a single massive ratchet that comes into contact with a peripheral toothing.
  • the means which make it possible to subtract the pawl from its engagement with the toothing consist of a cam surface formed on the pawl, which is placed near the axis. It is also provided a spring pushing the pawl in position.
  • the problem underlying the present invention is to design a device for winding and locking a tightening lace that is simple in design while having improved strength.
  • the contact area of the retention portion is at least as large as that provided by the device according to the state of the art closest.
  • the pawl of the device according to the present invention is urged respectively in tightening and loosening by the wheel in two different places spaced from each other: on the base carried by the first bar, on the one hand, and on the portion actuation carried by the second bar, on the other hand. There is therefore distribution of the forces on a large surface of the pawl which reduces the risk of wear and rupture of the pawl.
  • each engagement rod must be such that the wheel turning can easily bend.
  • Such a dimensioning makes it fragile and not very resistant to retaining a high tension of the lace. It follows that such a device can not be subjected to a too strong lace tension.
  • the positioning of the actuating portion on the second bar preferably at the free end of the second bar, provides a large lever arm which helps to disengage the retention portion of the complementary relief and thus allows an easy unlock.
  • the invention has any of the preceding features that can be used separately or in combination.
  • the actuating portion is disposed in the vicinity of a first end of the second bar, the second bar comprising a second end by which the second bar is secured to the first bar. This allows to have a maximum lever arm for disengagement of the retention portion of the complementary relief and thus the release of the coil.
  • the actuating portion is driven by a first integral drive member of the wheel. This allows a drive limited to the actuating portion and therefore more effective.
  • the first drive member is in the form of a drive stop pushing the actuating portion carried by the second bar for unlocking the rotation of the wheel, this thrust deforming the first bar to disengage the retention portion of the complementary relief of the fixed support.
  • the deformation of the first bar helps the thrust of the drive abutment by not opposing this thrust and decreases the friction and therefore the wear of the stop and the body.
  • the driving abutment in the tightening direction, is configured to push an actuating element integral with the spool in order to rotate the spool in this direction.
  • This drive abutment has the advantage of combining two functions, on the one hand, a thrust function on the drive member in the loosening direction and, on the other hand, a thrust function on an element of the coil in the direction of tightening. This is therefore achieved with the same element hence a decrease in the elements necessary for the operation of the winding device and also a decrease in the total weight of the device, which is important when the personal equipment must be light.
  • the retention portion is in the vicinity of a first end of the first bar, the base being in the vicinity of the second end of the first bar.
  • the base in the direction of loosening, is pushed by a second drive member secured to the wheel.
  • This characteristic relates to the second drive that the wheel exerts on the pawl at a different location from the first, which still allows a distribution of forces on the entire ratchet.
  • the pawl is secured to the coil near the base, a fork carried by the pawl surrounding a fastening element carried by or secured to the coil, the base forming one of the branches of the fork.
  • the place where the pawl is pushed by the second member is also the place of its attachment to the coil which improves the transmission of the forces of the wheel to the pawl and then to the coil.
  • the device comprises a noise element configured to rub against the inner periphery of the fixed support under the action of a rotational force exerted by a user on the wheel in the loosening direction.
  • the sounding element serves to guide the user to the sound during loosening, the retention portion not then rubbing against the inner periphery of the fixed support.
  • the noisemaker element is carried by an arm which extends from the first bar so that the deformation of the arm causes the friction of the noisy element against the inner periphery of the fixed support under the action of said rotational force exerted by a user on the wheel in the loosening direction.
  • the arm comprises a first end by which it is secured to the first bar and a second end which forms the noise element.
  • the device comprises a second drive member integral with the wheel and configured to push the base under the action of said rotational force exerted by a user on the wheel in the tightening direction, and wherein the second drive member also forms said distance stop.
  • the arm is elastically deformable, a distance stop carried by or secured to the wheel now spaced from the inner periphery of the support fixed the free end of the arm, this during tightening. This facilitates the establishment of the arm against the periphery of the fixed support so that it fulfills its role of noise during loosening and its removal from the contact with the periphery to make no noise at the end of tightening.
  • the second drive member when the base is pushed by a second drive member secured to the wheel, the second drive member also forms the distance stop.
  • the second organ performs as the first organ two functions: there is thus simplification of the device and economy of the elements to be implemented for its operation.
  • the complementary relief integral with the fixed support is formed of notches into which a respective tooth carried by the retention portion is inserted.
  • the device is configured so that in the absence of said rotational force exerted by a user on the wheel in the loosening direction, at least one tooth carried by the retention portion fits into a notch.
  • the number of teeth carried by the retention portion may be between 1 and 5.
  • the first bar has at least for its retention portion an external curvature oriented towards the fixed support corresponding to that of the inner periphery of the fixed support.
  • the first bar therefore has a configuration specifically adapted to the inner periphery of the fixed support, which increases the engagement between the retention portion and the complementary relief in the locking position of the coil.
  • the device comprises a single pawl, the single pawl can carry a single retention portion. Compared to the closest state of the art which comprises three engagement rods, this represents a simplification of the device with a saving in manufacturing time and elements that the device contains.
  • the pawl is formed integrally.
  • the base, the first and second bars, the actuating portion and the retention portion form a single piece. They are trained come matter.
  • personal equipment of the clothing, footwear, helmet or protective equipment type having at least one tightening lace, comprising for said at least one lace such a winding and locking device according to the invention.
  • the tightening thus obtained is fast and resistant in position.
