Die Erfindung zeichnet sich insbesondere dadurch aus, dass ein Gemüsehobel zum Schneiden oder Reiben von Gemüse, Obst oder anderen Lebensmitteln geschaffen ist, der sich schnell, leicht und präzise so einstellen lässt, dass jeweils Schneidgut von unterschiedlicher Stärke hergestellt werden kann. Hierzu zieht und/oder schiebt der Bediener das zu schneidende Obst oder Gemüse über eine erste, als Anlauffläche dienende Platte in Richtung einer zweiten, als Ablauffläche dienenden Platte. Weil zwischen beiden Platten ein Schneidmesser positioniert ist, wird das Obst oder Gemüse dabei in Scheiben zerschnitten oder durch Anordnung weiterer Schneidelemente in Zieh-/Schiebrichtung gegebenenfalls auch zusätzlich zerkleinert. Der die Dicke der Scheiben vorgebende Spalt zwischen den beiden Platten kann dabei durch eine Neigungsänderung der oberen, dem Handgriff des Gemüsehobels zugewandten Platte variiert werden. Zur Einstellung dient eine Einrichtung, welche die Grundplatte durchdringt und an ihrer Rückseite eine Handhabe zur Bedienung eines an deren Vorderseite positionierten Verstellgliedes aufweist. Ein Drehen der Verstelleinrichtung geht dann in eine Verschiebung einer Keilplatte über, welche sich zwischen der Grund- und der oberen Platte verschiebt und dank einer unregelmäßigen Ausbildung auf ihrer Frontseite direkt zu einer Neigungsverstellung der oberen Platte führt.The invention is characterized in particular by the fact that a vegetable slicer for cutting or grating vegetables, fruits or other foods is created, which can be adjusted quickly, easily and precisely so that in each case cutting material of different thickness are produced can. Bei einer Drehung der Handhabe 11 der Verstelleinrichtung 8 an der Rückseite 13 des Gemüsehobels 1 um die senkrechte Achse 16 verschiebt sich die Keilplatte. Von letzterer sind hier nur die Stege 31 erkennbar, mit denen die Keilplatte in den Öffnungen 30 parallel zur Längsachse 7 des Gemüsehobels 1 beziehungsweise der Grundplatte 5 geführt ist. Von Bedeutung ist auch das Gelenklager 24, um das bei Betätigung der Handhabe 11 die hier nicht dargestellte obere Platte um das Lager 24, das heißt die Achse 40 verschwenkt wird, so dass sich daraufhin der Neigungsgrad zwischen den beiden Platten entsprechend der Einstellung und damit die Größe des Spaltes 38 ändert, was zur Fertigung unterschiedlich dimensionierten Schneidgutes führt. Erkennbar ist eine Öffnung 32 in der Grundplatte 5 für die Verstelleinrichtung 8, wobei zwei der verschiedenen Stufen mit den Bezugszeichen 14 und 15 angedeutet sind. Die Verstelleinrichtung 8 durchdringt die Öffnung 32, das heißt auf der Vorderseite 12 der Grundplatte 5 bzw. des Gemüsehobels 1 befindet sich das Verstellglied 9 mit dem mehrere Lamellen aufweisenden Kranz 17, das dann von der Rückseite von der Grundplatte 5 bzw. Gemüsehobel 1 aus über die Handhabe 11 betätigt wird. Handhabe 11 und Verstellglied 9 sind dazu über einen Bolzen 39 miteinander verbunden. Der Kranz 17 korrespondiert seinerseits mit einer Zahnschiene 18, welche in die Ausnehmung 19 der Keilplatte 6 integriert ist. Das heißt eine Drehung des Verstellgliedes 9 samt Kranz 17 geht in eine Längsbewegung der Keilplatte 6 über, bei welcher diese sich weiter unter die obere Platte 2 schiebt. Die Keilplatte 6 weist eine der Formgebung der oberen Platte 2 entsprechende Schräge 20 auf. Weil die Keilplatte 6 außerdem an ihrer der oberen Platte 2 zugewandten Frontseite 23 und der der unteren Platte zugewandten Unterseite 22 eine Verstärkung 21 aufweist, führt eine Verschiebung der Keilplatte 6 parallel zur Längsachse von Grundplatte 5 bzw. Gemüsehobel 1 zu einer Neigungsverstellung der oberen Platte 2 und mithin zu einer Vergrößerung oder Verkleinerung des Spaltes, dem das der unteren Platte 3 Schneidmesser 4 zugeordnet ist.
