Abstract
Description
- The present invention relates to a compressor comprising a cylinder head that is used in cooling devices.
- The hermetic compressors used in domestic type refrigerators comprises a cylinder wherein the compression process is performed, the cylinder head wherein a suction chamber and an exhaust chamber are disposed and a valve table disposed between the cylinder and the cylinder head. The cylinder head is fixed on the valve table with connection elements, such as screw, etc. However, the screws used in the screwing method do not make the same amount of pressure onto all surfaces of the cylinder head and the valve table contacting each other. The pressure exerted by the screws onto the surfaces of the cylinder head and the valve table contacting each other is less than at the points where the screws are connected to the cylinder head and the valve table. For this reason, a gap forms between the surfaces of the cylinder head and the valve table contacting each other apart from the points where the screws are connected, and thus the refrigerant leaks outside. Moreover, applying pressure only at the points where the screws are connected causes the deformation of the cylinder head.
- In the United States Patent Application No. US20040071564, a compressor is disclosed, having a valve package situated on the suction muffler and enabling the grouping of the valve table and the cylinder head.
- The aim of the present invention is the realization of a compressor wherein the leakage of refrigerant and heat is prevented.
- The compressor realized in order to attain the aims of the present invention and explicated in the attached claims, comprises a casing carrying the components therein, a cylinder wherein the compression process is performed, a body situated in the casing, a cylinder head disposed on the cylinder, a valve table situated between the cylinder and the cylinder head, at least one exhaust chamber wherein the pumped circulating fluid fills, situated below the cylinder head and at least one suction chamber wherein the sucked circulating fluid fills.
- The compressor of the present invention comprises an external screw thread situated on the cylinder head and at least one internal screw thread situated on the body, that locks with the external screw thread by going into each other while the cylinder head is being mounted to the body, thus providing the cylinder head and the body to be fixed to each other. The external screw thread extends from the base of the suction chamber and the exhaust chamber situated below the cylinder head towards the outside of the suction chamber and the exhaust chamber. The valve table is placed into the external screw thread. While the cylinder head containing the valve table therein is being placed onto the body, the external screw thread moves on the internal screw thread. With the interlocking of the external screw thread and the internal screw thread, the cylinder head is provided to be firmly fixed to the body. Thus, the refrigerant is prevented from leaking from around the valve table situated between the body and the cylinder head that interlock with each other, providing ease of assembly. Furthermore, heat or sound insulation is provided during the flow of the refrigerant.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the compressor comprises at least one protrusion extending from the surface of the cylinder head facing the valve table and whereon the external screw thread is situated, and furthermore at least one housing situated on the body and wherein the protrusion is placed.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the diameter of the valve table is at least partially smaller than the diameter of the protrusion. The valve table has a shape matching that of the protrusion. The valve is joined with the cylinder head by being placed into the protrusion.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the compressor comprises at least one extension situated on the valve table and at least one chamber situated on the cylinder head and wherein the extension is placed. With the extension being placed into the chamber, the valve table and the cylinder head are provided to be grouped so that the suction chamber and the suction hole align with the exhaust chamber and the exhaust hole.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the housing and the extension have circular cross-sections. The housing and the protrusion interlock. When the protrusion is placed into the housing, the external screw thread interlocks with the internal screw thread and a gap is prevented from remaining between the body and the cylinder head.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the housing has a diameter larger than the diameter of the protrusion so that the protrusion can be placed therein. The housing and the protrusion have hollow, annular shapes.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the compressor comprises at least one first sealing element situated between the valve table and the cylinder head. The diameter of the first sealing element is at least partially larger than the diameter of the protrusion. The first sealing element is fitted over the protrusion and completely surrounds the protrusion. When the cylinder head is placed onto the body, the first sealing element remains between the body and the cylinder head and provides leak-proofing between the cylinder head and the body.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the compressor comprises at least one circular second sealing element situated between the body and the valve table. Together with the valve table, the second sealing element remains in the housing and the protrusion that interlock with each other.
- In an embodiment of the present invention, the cross-sectional area of the cylinder head is hexagonal. The cylinder head can be easily rotated by means of a fixing tool such as a wrench. Meanwhile, the external screw thread moves over the internal screw thread and thus the cylinder head and the body interlock with each other.
- By means of the present invention, a compressor is realized, having the cylinder head and the body comprising a protrusion and a housing interlocked with each other by means of an external screw thread and an internal screw thread situated thereon. Thus, refrigerant and heat leakage is prevented by eliminating any gap between the cylinder head and the body, thus improving the efficiency of the compressor.

The refrigerant sucked from inside the casing (2) reaches the cylinder (3) by passing through the cylinder head (5). At the end of the compression process, the refrigerant with increased pressure and temperature is discharged into the cylinder head (5) after leaving the cylinder (3) (Figure 1).

The cylinder head (5) whereon the valve table (6) is disposed is placed on the body (4) by being rotated. While the cylinder head (5) is being rotated, the external screw thread (9) moves over the internal screw thread (10). The length of the external screw thread (9) is almost equal to the length of the internal screw thread (10). While the cylinder head (5) is being rotated, the external screw thread (9) and the internal screw thread (10) situated oppositely interlock, providing the cylinder head (5) and the body (4) to be locked with each other. Thus, the cylinder head (5) is provided to be easily mounted on the body (4). Meanwhile, the valve table (6) remains between the cylinder head (5) and the body (4) that are fixed to each other. The valve table (6) and the cylinder head (5) are situated on the body (4) one above the other. By means of the interlocking of the external screw thread (9) and the internal screw thread (10), the body (4), the valve table (6) and the cylinder head (5) are prevented from detaching from each other until there is an additional force exerted from outside. Moreover, by means of the internal screw thread (10) and the external screw thread (9), leakage of the refrigerant through between the body (4) and the cylinder head (5) is prevented (Figure 2, Figure 3, Figure 4).
