Description

The invention relates to a respiratory mask with a mask body, with at least one exhalation valve and at least one inhalation valve, with at least one filter module associated with the inhalation valve, and with at least one arranged on the mask body coupling element for attaching at least one head of a user behind the head engaging band on the mask body.

Respirators of the type mentioned are known from the prior art. They are used to protect a user from air pollution during breathing. By means of an over the mouth and nose of the user can be arranged mask body a closed gas space for the user is formed, which is separated from the environment. By means of at least one exhalation valve and at least one inhalation valve, both of which are arranged on the mask body and penetrate it, then a gas or air exchange between the user and the environment can take place through the mask body. Usually, the mask bodies also have coupling elements to which one or more head attachment straps can be fastened, which, stretched around the back of the user's head, pull the respiratory mask against the user's face in order to ensure a close fit of the respiratory mask on the face.

To separate the inhaled or inhaled air from any impurities present, the at least one inhalation valve or each inhalation valve is assigned in each case a filter module through which the air flow must before it reaches the gas chamber and in particular the inhalation valve. In order to use the respirator over a long period of time, especially if the filter modules have aging, it is necessary to be able to replace the filter modules or if necessary. For this purpose, different solutions are already known.

From the US 5,222,488 B1 For example, a respirator is known in which a filter module is screwed to a mask body. And from the US 4,934,361 B1 already shows a respirator, in which the filter module can be releasably secured by means of a bayonet lock on the mask body. Furthermore, it is from the US 4,771,771 B1 already known to provide a sliding seat device for releasably holding a filter module.

From the publication US 2003/029454 A1 already a respirator of the generic type is known in which a filter module can be releasably attached, wherein on the mask body, a coupling element for fixing a head mounting band and a fastening means for releasably securing the filter module are arranged. The fastening means has a retaining projection engageable and disengageable with the mask body and formed on a mounting frame of the filter module.

The known respirators have the disadvantage that for the releasable attachment of the one or more filter modules elaborately designed attachment means must be provided on the mask body.

The invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide a respirator, which overcomes the disadvantages mentioned above in a simple and cost-effective manner.

The problem underlying the invention is achieved by a respirator with the features of claim 1. This has the advantage that already conventionally provided on the respirator elements are used in a simple manner to simultaneously ensure a releasable locking of the filter or modules to the mask body. Without great additional effort while a detachable attachment of the filter or modules is achieved on the mask body. The respirator mask according to the invention is characterized in that the coupling element for releasable attachment of the filter module to the mask body has at least one holding projection which can be displaced from a position locking the filter module to the mask body into a position releasing the filter module. The invention thus provides that the coupling element, which is normally present anyway, is also used for fastening the filter module. By displacing the holding projection arranged on the coupling element from a locking position into a releasing position, the filter module can be detached from the mask body. By corresponding displacement of the holding projection from the releasing position into the arresting position, the filter module is fastened to the mask body.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention it is provided that the coupling element at least partially elastic is formed deformable. This advantageously achieves that by elastic deformation of the coupling element of the retaining projection arranged thereon can be displaced from one to the other position. This ensures a particularly simple realization of the displaceability of the retaining projection. Particularly preferably, the coupling element is formed integrally with the mask body or with a mask body part of the optionally multi-part mask body.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention it is provided that additionally or alternatively, the coupling element is pivotally mounted by a hinge on the mask body. In this case, the coupling element is thus hingedly connected to the mask body, in which case the joint is preferably associated with at least one spring element which preferably urges the coupling element with the holding projection in the arresting position, so that in the normal state, the filter module is held on the mask body , The same applies preferably also for the formation of the elastically deformable coupling element, which is either relaxed in the locked position or already biased to ensure a particularly safe and backlash-free hold of the filter module to the mask body.

It is preferably provided that the holding projection is formed integrally with the coupling element. This results in a particularly simple and stable arrangement of the retaining projection on the coupling element.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention it is provided that the retaining projection as a latching nose with a masks body facing stop and is formed with a facing away from the mask body insertion. Due to the insertion bevel, the coupling element is automatically displaced together with the holding projection in the releasing position when the filter module is brought to the mask body. Preferably, the mask body has a receiving recess for at least partially receiving the filter module, in which the filter module is preferably used at least substantially accurate fit. Advantageously, the at least one advantageously designed coupling element is provided with the holding projection on the edge of this depression, so that through the receiving recess a secure placement of the filter module at the desired location and by the coupling element is a secure locking of the filter module to the mask body.

Furthermore, it is preferably provided that the coupling element is L-shaped, with a first leg attached to the mask body and with a second leg facing away from the filter module, wherein the retaining projection is arranged on the first leg. The advantageous embodiment ensures a simple operation of the coupling element for releasing the locking. By a user on the second leg, for example, at its outer end, in the direction of the mask body exerts a force, so presses on the second leg, the retaining projection is pulled away from the filter module and moved to its releasing position. For this purpose, the retaining projection is particularly preferably arranged on the end of the first leg facing away from the mask body, in order to prevent the second leg from being pushed by the second leg kel to achieve the greatest possible displacement of the retaining projection with only a small amount of force.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, it is also provided that the second leg has means for fixing the head attachment band. These means are preferably clamping means by means of which the fastening band can be clamped to the coupling element or to the second leg of the coupling element. The clamping means preferably comprise an elastically deformable ring which can be pushed onto the second limb and a structure formed in the second limb which has at least one, preferably a plurality of depressions in the second limb so that the head fastening band can be pushed onto the head fastening band and the coupling element by sliding the ring on pushed into the recess (s), thereby ensuring a high holding force of the head attachment band to the coupling element.

Furthermore, it is preferably provided that one or more of the coupling elements according to the invention are assigned to the filter module or the respective filter module. Thus, according to a first embodiment, it is provided that the filter module is held on the mask body as a whole by a plurality of coupling elements according to the invention that are distributed over the circumference of the filter module.

According to a second embodiment of the invention it is provided that the filter module only one side or more coupling elements, as described above, are assigned, and that the filter module to one of first side opposite second side has at least one locking projection which is inserted / inserted into a locking receptacle of the mask body. The locking projection is expediently in front of the filter module, so that it can be pushed into the locking recess by a lateral sliding movement of the filter module. The locking recess and the locking projection are preferably designed such that the filter module is tiltable with befindlichem in the locking recess locking projection. As a result, the filter module can be brought into its use position by a tilted insertion with the locking projection into the locking receptacle and a subsequent lowering of its projecting from the mask body side in its use position when the holding projections or are in their releasing position. Conveniently, it is provided that, as described above, the holding projections are designed as latching lugs, so that the filter module is first tilted inserted into the locking receptacle with the locking projection and einklickbar by a subsequent settling on the mask body in its use position, wherein the coupling elements automatically with the retaining projections in the releasing and then in the arresting position be relocated due to the spring force or inherent elasticity and training as a latch.

According to an advantageous development of the invention it is also provided that at least one further filter element associated with the filter module and at least partially elastically displaceable latching projection, in particular in the form of a latching nose assigned. The wide latching projection differs from the coupling element described above in particular in that it has no means or possibility for fastening the head-mounting strap. The at least one additional latching projection alone serves to lock the filter module to the mask body and thereby supports the action of the one or more coupling elements according to the invention.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention it is provided that the filter module and / or the receiving recess or the mask body each have at least one spaced apart from the inlet valve to the inlet valve extending sealing ridge. Due to the frame-like course of the sealing bar is continuous, so without interruption, formed and surrounds the inlet valve, at least when the filter module is inserted into the respective receiving recess. The sealing ridge is designed such that it sealingly in the inserted state of the filter module the filter module or its filter module bottom and / or rests on the bottom of the receiving recess. Particularly preferably, the sealing web is at least partially formed elastically deformable. As a result, the sealing web also provides a spring force which can be used to securely lock the filter module by means of the coupling elements.

The sealing ridge preferably extends parallel to the outer contour of the respective receiving recess. Alternatively, the sealing web may also have a shape that is independent of or deviating from the outer contour. For example, the sealing web may extend in a circular ring around the inlet valve. In particular, it may be provided that the sealing web is always arranged spaced from the side walls of the respective receiving recess. It is also conceivable that the annular shape of the sealing web is not circular, but for example, polygonal, for example, square or rectangular or star-shaped.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the mask body is designed in several parts, with a mask base body and with at least one shell element forming the respective receiving recess, the shell element preferably having a higher rigidity than the mask main body. Due to the multi-part design, the production of the mask body is simplified. In addition, can be achieved by the multi-part design that the mask body and the shell element have different properties, especially in terms of their flexibility. By the preferred embodiment, according to which the mask main body has a higher flexibility As the shell element, it is ensured that the mask base body on the one hand agrees pleasantly to the face shape of the user, and that the shell element ensures a sufficiently high rigidity for secure and tight connection of the filter module with the mask body.

FIG. 1 shows in a perspective view of a respirator 1, which has a mask body 2, which is adapted to separate the nose and the mouth of a user from the environment. For this purpose, the mask body 2 facing the user has a flexible sealing lip 3, which adapts to the face shape of the user gas-tight when the respirator 1 is pressed against the face of the user. For this purpose, a plurality of, in the present case, four coupling elements 4 are arranged on the mask body 2 and have means 5 for fastening a particularly flexible head fastening strip 7. The means 5 are at a free pinnförmigen end of the respective coupling element 4 as a plurality of transversely to the longitudinal extent of the coupling element 4 extending recesses 6 are formed. For attachment of the head attachment band 7, a free end of the head attachment band 7 is applied laterally to the coupling element 4 in the region of the means 5. An elastically deformable ring 8 is then pushed onto the coupling element 4 and the head mounting band 7, to clamp the latter to the coupling element 4 in the region of the recesses 6 at this. The recesses 6 serve in particular for the positive locking of the head mounting band 7 on the respective coupling element 4. As in FIG. 1 shown, the head mounting band 7 may also have a plurality of free ends, one of which is associated with one of the coupling elements 4 each. Alternatively, a plurality of head attachment straps 7 may be provided. Usually, the one or more head attachment straps 7 have a possibility for length adjustment, so that by appropriate adjustment of the length of the mask body 2 is optimally pulled against the face of the user to realize the gas-tight connection by means of the sealing lip 3.

On the mask body 2, an exhalation valve 9 is further arranged, which penetrates the mask body 2. In the present case, the exhalation valve 9 is covered by a manually operable test valve 10 for testing the gas-tightness of the respiratory mask 1. The exhalation valve 9 is - as usual - designed to let escape air from the interior or from the gas space formed between the mask body 2 and face to the outside, while it closes in the opposite direction of flow, so that the user unfiltered air from the environment through the exhalation valve 9 inhale. The exhalation valve has for this purpose a displaceable or elastically deformable check valve element.

In order to admit ambient air into the gas space, two inhalation valves 11 are presently provided, which are arranged below the exhalation valve 9 and on both sides to the Atemvenil 9 on the mask body 2. The inhalation valves 11 are each assigned a filter module 12 which can be arranged or arranged on the outside of the mask body 2, as in FIG FIG. 1 shown.

FIG. 2 shows the respirator 1 in a plan view without the filter modules 12. The mask body 2 has two receiving recesses 13 whose outer contour substantially corresponds to the contour of the filter modules 12, so that they are at least substantially accurately fit into the respective receiving recess 13 can be used. The respective receiving recess 13 has a bottom 14 in which an opening 15 is formed. The respective bottom 14 is curved in several directions in order to achieve an advantageous wearing comfort and an optically advantageous design of the respirator 1. The respective opening 15 is associated with the respective inhalation valve 11. This is formed by a flexible valve element 16 which closes the opening 15 in the normal state sealing. The valve element 16 is arranged on the rear side of the mask body 2, that is, lying in the gas space, and thus lies on the back of the mask body 2, the respective opening 15 overlapping. The respective opening 15 in this case has a grid structure 17 extending over its cross section, on which the respective valve element 16 is centrally held. The valve elements 16 are circular disk-shaped and held only centrally on the lattice structure 17. If the user inhales and creates a negative pressure in the gas space of the mask body 2, the respective valve member 16 is deformed inwardly into the gas space, whereby the respective opening 15 released and the user can inhale the filtered through the respective filter module 12 air. Exhales the user, the valve elements 16, the respective opening closing against the mask body 2 urged.

The respective receiving recess 13 is bounded by an at least substantially continuous edge 18, which extends in a circle deviating from a circle around the respective inhalation valve 11 and spaced therefrom. The contour here essentially corresponds to that of a rectangle with rounded corners. The respective receiving recess 13 thus has essentially four side wall sections, two of which are opposite each other. Furthermore, it is provided that extends in the respective receiving recess 13 parallel to the respective edge 18 on the bottom 14 each have a circumferential sealing web 19, which is in particular formed elastically deformable. If the respective filter module is introduced into the corresponding receiving recess 13, it rests with a bottom sealingly against the respective sealing web 19, so that a sealed air space between the filter modules 12 and the respective inlet valve 11 is provided, which ensures that only by the respective filter module 12 passes filtered air into the inhalation valve 11.

The filter modules 12 are releasably held on the mask body 2, so that they can be replaced, for example, with decreasing effect or with increasing contamination. One for this provided releasable locking of the filter modules 12 will be described below.

FIG. 3 shows in a simplified sectional view of the respirator 1 a longitudinal section through one of the receiving recesses 13 with a filter module 12 disposed therein, wherein of the filter module 12 in the present case, only the outer contour is shown. The filter module 12 expediently has a filter module housing 20, which gives the filter module 12 the corresponding contour. The filter module 12 has an outer contour corresponding to the edge 18, which also deviates from a circle and is substantially rectangular in shape with rounded corners, so that the filter module 12 also has two mutually opposite sides. On one side 21, the filter module 12 has a locking projection 22 which projects laterally from the filter module 12. The locking projection 22 is located in a locking receptacle 23 which is formed in the edge 18 of the receiving recess 13. The projection 22 is inserted into the locking receptacle 23, so that the filter module 12 is held on the side 21 in a form-fitting manner in the receiving recess 13.

The side 21 opposite side 24, the filter module housing 20 each one of the coupling elements 4 associated with a recess 25. The coupling elements 4 are, as essentially made FIGS. 2 to 4 can be seen, L-shaped with a first leg 26 which is connected to the mask body 2, and with a second leg 27, which in the present case at a right angle to the first leg 26 and the filter module 12 and the receiving recess 13 pointing away is. On the second leg 27 are those already mentioned above Means 5 for attachment of the head mounting band 7 is provided. The leg 26 is expediently formed integrally with the mask body 2 or with a receiving body 13 forming the overall mask body member of the then multi-part mask body 2. At the end of the first leg 26 opposite the mask body 2, that is to say in the region in which the first leg and the second leg 27 meet, the first leg 26 has a latching nose 28 which protrudes laterally in the direction of the receiving recess 13. The detent 28 has a substantially flat and the mask base 2 facing stop 29 and a facing away from the mask body 2 insertion 30.

In the in FIG. 3 shown state, the locking lug 28 is partially in the recess 25 of the filter module 12, so that it is also held on the side 24 on the mask body 2 by the retaining projection 31 forming locking lug 28. The distance of the holding projection 31 from the bottom 14 of the receiving recess 13 is selected such that in the locked state, the filter module 12 sealingly rests on the sealing web 19. Accordingly, the locking receptacle 23 and the locking projection 22 are formed. Conveniently, the distances are chosen such that the sealing web 19 is elastically deformed in the locked position of the filter module 12, so that a spring tension on the retaining projection 31 and the locking projection 22 acts to achieve a self-locking of the lock. In addition, according to an embodiment not shown here, it may be provided that the latching nose 28 has a projection pointing towards the mask body 2, which engages behind the filter module housing 20 in order to reliably avoid accidental release of the lock.

In order to detach the filter module 12 from the mask body 2, the retaining projection 31 is to be pulled out of the recess 25. Due to the advantageous embodiment of the present respirator 1 this can be achieved simply by pressing on the free end of the second leg 27 according to arrow 32, whereby the elastically deformable leg 26 is bent and the retaining projection 31 is pulled out of the recess 25, as by an arrow 33 indicated.

FIG. 4 shows the respirator 1 in the longitudinal sectional view according to FIG. 3 , wherein the filter module 12 is released from the actuated coupling element 4 or from the actuated coupling elements 4. Once the respective retaining projection 31 has been removed from the recess 25, as in FIG. 4 11, the filter module 12 can be pulled upward by a tilting on the side 24 or away from the receiving recess 13 by first lifting the filter module 12 on the side 24, as indicated by an arrow 34, and then with the locking projection 22 the locking receptacle 23 are pulled out, as indicated by an arrow 35. The locking receptacle 23 and the locking projection 22 are designed in this case, or provided with so much play that the filter module 12 with the retaining projection 22 in the locking receptacle 23 is tilted.

To insert the filter module 12 in the respective receiving recess 13, this is first inserted with the locking projection 22 in the locking receptacle 23 and then the side 24 is pressed into the locking receptacle 13. Due to the advantageous embodiment of the retaining projection 31 as a latching nose 28 with the insertion 30 is thereby achieved that the respective retaining projection 31 when pressed automatically to the side in a releasing position, as in FIG. 4 shown, relocated. As soon as the filter module 12 rests on the sealing web 19, the retaining projection 31 engages in the recess 25 due to the inherent elasticity of the coupling element 4 and locks the filter module 12 in its position of use.

As in particular from FIG. 2 can be seen, in the present case two coupling elements 4 are arranged on the locking receptacle 23 opposite side of the respective receiving recess 13. Alternatively, only one corresponding coupling element 4 or more than two coupling elements 4 per filter module 12 may be provided. Optionally, it is further provided that between the two coupling elements 4 present in each case an additional latching projection 36 is provided which corresponds to the provision of the means 5 in its structure and its structure substantially the coupling elements 4. The latching projections 36 also snap into corresponding recesses of the respective filter module 11 with a correspondingly designed as a latching nose 28 'retaining projection 31' and can be brought out of engagement by elastic deformation. It is also conceivable that the respective locking receptacle 23 instead of by a depression in the edge 18 by each projecting into the respective receiving recess 13 projection 37 of the rim 18, as in FIG. 2 shown to form.

Overall, it is achieved that the filter modules 12 can be locked in a simple manner to the mask body 2 by clicking or snapping into the respective receiving recess 13. At the same time, the lock can be opened simple manner by pressing the coupling elements 4 and optionally the locking projections 36 solve again.

According to the present exemplary embodiment, provision is also made for the mask body 2 to be designed in several parts and for this purpose to have a mask main body 38 and two shell elements 39, which each form one of the receiving recesses 13. The shell elements 39 in this case have a higher rigidity than the mask main body 38. This ensures that the mask body 38 on the one hand advantageously adapts to the face shape of a user, and that on the other hand, the receiving recesses (13) are sufficiently rigid to ensure a secure fit of the to ensure respective filter module (12).
