The invention relates to a handle, in particular door handle, for a safety system of a motor vehicle, with a handle formed with a grip body, in which an electronic unit is arranged, which detects an approach of a user to the handle body. In addition, the invention comprises a method for triggering a signal of an electronics, which is integrated in a handle of a motor vehicle, wherein the handle is designed with a recessed grip and a handle body and the electronics detects an approach of a user to the handle body.

From the DE 10 2006 042 152.3 is described a handle of the type mentioned above. It has been found that the functionality of this handle can be further improved, in particular an even better and faster recognition of a user's approach to the handle body can be further developed.

From the EP 1 384 845 A1 such as JP 2006344554 A Gattunsgemäße handling according to the preamble of claim 1 are known.

The object of the present invention is to provide a handle with improved functionality. In addition, it is an object to provide an improved method for triggering a signal of an electronics integrated in the handle, whereby an even faster and more reliable recognition of a user approach can be detected.

The object of the present invention is achieved by the two independent claims. In the dependent claims advantageous embodiments are described.

The electronics have at least a first and a second electrode, each electrode having its own monitoring zone which extends into the recessed grip and the monitoring zone of the first electrode is at least partially different from the monitoring zone of the second electrode. According to the invention, a reference electrode is provided, which is the first or the second electrode, wherein the reference electrode has a monitoring zone, which is not accessible to the user. As a result, a false triggering of the signal is avoided. In this embodiment according to the invention, it is sufficient for the user to guide his hand into the monitoring zone of the first electrode in order to trigger a signal from the electronics. The monitoring zone of the second electrode, which acts as a reference electrode, is positioned in the recessed grip such that the user does not reach his hand with a proper operation of the handle in this second surveillance zone. An advantage of this embodiment is that possible false alarms, for example due to rain falling evenly through the recessed grip and possibly wetting the surface of the grip body, are excluded. In this embodiment, the rain would be detectable by both the first electrode and the second electrode As a result, the electronics would not trigger a signal for corresponding activation of the safety system of the motor vehicle.

At least two electrodes of the electronics are used in order to be able to monitor the measuring range between the handle and the motor vehicle in the best possible way. This means that the area of the handle recess of the handle, which provides a free space for the user, can be almost completely metrologically detected. It is irrelevant at which possible point of the grip the user leads his hand into it. The electronics with the at least two electrodes ensures that an intervention of the user in the surveillance zone is detected. It is particularly advantageous that the monitoring zone of the first electrode is at least partially different from the monitoring zone of the second electrode, as a result of which the area between the grip body and motor vehicle lies almost completely in the monitoring area of the electronics. This means that the surveillance zones can at least partially overlap.

It can also be provided that the monitoring zones are geometrically defined in the recessed grip such that, on the one hand, there is no overlapping of the surveillance zones and, on the other hand, almost the entire area of the recessed grip is monitored by the electronics. This means that the monitoring zones of said electrodes, in order to detect an intervention of a user in the recessed grip, are aligned at least partially different from each other.

Advantageously, it can be provided that at least one of the two electrodes detects a change in the capacitance. Advantageously, at least one of the two electrodes operates as a capacitive sensor, so that upon an intervention of the user in the recessed grip and / or in the monitoring zone of the respective electrode, the capacitance or capacitance change is determined and / or detected and / or detected by the electronics. Consequently, a signal can be triggered by the electronics to trigger a defined function in the safety system of the motor vehicle. For example, it is conceivable that, when the signal is emitted, a locking and / or unlocking of the motor vehicle, in particular the motor vehicle door, takes place. Likewise, via the transmission of the signal, a lock of a motor vehicle door can be activated, in particular opened or closed.

In a further measure improving the invention, the size of the monitoring zone of the first electrode may differ from the size of the monitoring zone of the second electrode. In this case, the monitoring zones may at least partially overlap. It is also conceivable that the monitoring zones of the first and the second electrode are located exactly next to one another, so that a common monitoring zone is formed within the recessed grip.

It can also be provided that the size of the monitoring zone of the first electrode substantially corresponds to the size of the monitoring zone of the second electrode. Also in this embodiment of the invention, the monitoring zones may at least partially overlap or lie next to each other, so that a common surveillance zone results within the recessed grip.

In addition, it can be provided that the first electrode is arranged at a distance from the second electrode, wherein in particular the electronics has a circuit board on which at least one electrode is arranged or each electrode has its own board, which are connected to one another. For example, the invention may include that only one electrode is arranged on the circuit board, wherein the second electrode is connected via a cable element to the circuit board and / or to the electrode. It can also be provided that a common circuit board is provided on which both electrodes are arranged. In addition, it is conceivable that each electrode has its own board.

It can be advantageous that the first electrode is attached directly to the board, wherein at the same time the further second electrode is arranged in a different position within the handle body without being directly attached to a circuit board. Only a connection of the second electrode to the board of the first electrode by a cable element. The advantage of this embodiment is that the second electrode can be positioned in narrow and small areas within the handle body, precisely where there is little space available. The board with the first electrode is placed inside the handle body there, which provides a larger space available. The board can further with other electrical components such. As processor, memory, transmitting and / or receiving device, switching devices, etc. be equipped.

Advantageously, the electronics can send a signal if at least one electrode recognizes the user in the surveillance zone. The electronics can be switched such that a signal from the electronics is already triggered when the user is detected in one of the monitoring zones in order to trigger a defined function within the motor vehicle. The advantage of this embodiment is that a signal from the electronics is promptly triggered when one of the electrodes already detects the user in one of the monitoring zones, whereby the speed of communication with the safety system of the motor vehicle is increased.

Alternatively, it is conceivable that only a signal from the electronics is sent when the user is detected in both monitoring zones of both electrodes. An advantage of this embodiment is that possible false triggering can be prevented, which can be triggered for example by a small object that enters consciously or accidentally in one of the two surveillance zones.

In a further embodiment improving the invention, the grip body may have an inner surface and an outer surface, the inner surface facing the recessed grip and facing away from the outer surface of the recessed grip, wherein in particular a shielding element is disposed facing the outer surface on / in the grip body, whereby the electronics of is protected from disturbing influences. The shielding element may be arranged between the inner surface of the handle body and at least one of the electrodes. The inner surface of the handle body is in this case the inside of the handle, which means that the handle has on the inside a cavity which at least partially determines the handle body in its geometry. In this cavity, the electronics with the two electrodes is used.

Advantageously, the shielding element can be integrated on the circuit board or the shielding element can be arranged at least on one electrode. For example, it is conceivable that the shielding element is metallic and / or that the shielding element is a foil.

The shielding according to the embodiments of the invention described above has the purpose to protect the functionality of the electrode or the electrodes, or to ensure that no external influences negatively affect the functionality of the electrode or the electrodes, so reliably the recessed grip and / or the area between the handle body and the motor vehicle or the motor vehicle door can be monitored.

The invention may include that the electrodes are connected in series with each other or that the electrodes are connected in parallel with each other. In the series connection of Electrodes to each other, the electronics can be designed so that a signal from the electronics is sent only when the user is in both monitoring zones of both electrodes with his hand. The parallel circuit of the electrodes to each other can be advantageous if z. B. the electronics sends a signal when at least one electrode detects the user in the respective monitoring zone.

It is also conceivable within the scope of the invention that the first and / or the second electrode has a sensor surface, wherein the sensor surface is directed to the recessed grip, wherein in particular the sensor surface is metallic, in particular made of copper. This embodiment is advantageous when in particular the first and / or the second electrode acts as a capacitive sensor. The sensor surface of the first and / or the second electrode is more or less parallel to the motor vehicle body, in particular to the motor vehicle door. As a result, the functionality of a capacitive sensor can be substantially increased, in particular a change in the capacitance can be reliably detected via an introduction of the hand into the recessed grip of the handle by such a configuration of the sensor surface.

In addition, the handle may include that a third electrode is provided, which has a monitoring zone, which is in particular not accessible to the user. In the presence of the third electrode, the first electrode, the first monitoring zone and the second electrode, the second monitoring zone, whereby the recessed grip is reliably monitored. By means of the third electrode, false triggering of the signal can be avoided in such a way that, for example, the monitoring zone of the third electrode is selected to be so small that the user does not get into the monitoring zone of the third electrode during a "normal" actuation of the handle body by the user. Thus, it is sufficient that at least one of the two electrodes, that is, the first and / or the second electrode detects only the user in the respective monitoring zone, whereby a corresponding signal is triggered by the electronics. Disturbing influences on the electronics, for example rain, do not trigger a signal in this exemplary embodiment, although these disturbing influences reach all monitoring zones.

Advantageously, the handle is movably attachable to the motor vehicle, in particular, the handle is designed as a pivoting handle, a folding handle, revolver handle and / or pull handle.

Furthermore, a handle according to the invention can be further developed such that the electronics is placed in a separate housing, said housing reliably the electronics together with the existing electrodes from environmental influences such. As moisture, dust, etc. protects. Within the housing z. B. a potting compound may be introduced, which completely surrounds the electronics, wherein the housing is inserted within a cavity of the handle body. Advantageously, the handle body can be designed at least in two parts. This means that the handle body z. B. may be formed of two half-shells, which form an internal cavity in the assembled state, in which the electronics and / or the housing is used together with the electronics.

Advantageously, it can be provided that a third electrode has the electronics, which allows a detection of a surveillance zone, which is not located in the recessed grip. For example, this monitoring zone can be located on the outer surface or in the region of the outer surface of the grip body. This electrode can detect the user, thereby triggering a signal from the electronics to cause, for example, a locking operation of the safety system of the motor vehicle and / or a closing of the door lock. This sensor can also act capacitively, like the two or as the three previously described electrodes, which have the monitoring zone within the recessed grip. Alternatively, this sensor or this electrode may be designed as a piezoelectric sensor, so that via a defined contact of the outer surface of the grip body, this sensor detects the action of the user.

The object of the present invention is also achieved by all features of the independent method claim. Advantageously, a method for triggering a signal of an electronics is proposed, which is integrated in a handle of a motor vehicle. Advantageously, the handle is designed with a recessed grip and a handle body, wherein the electronics recognizes an approach of a user to the handle body, the electronics having at least a first and a second electrode, each electrode having its own monitoring zone which extends into the recessed grip and at least one of the two electrodes detects a change in capacitance when the user reaches into the recessed grip, whereby the signal is triggered by the electronics, wherein a reference electrode is provided, which is the first or the second electrode, wherein the reference electrode is a surveillance zone that is inaccessible to the user. The electronics are in one Housing arranged, wherein the housing is located within the handle body, in particular that the handle body is formed from at least two half-shells.

One of the two electrodes detects a change in capacitance as the user grabs the grip, causing the signal to be triggered by the electronics.

The inventive method further comprises that the signal is triggered only when both electrodes detect a change in capacitance. The signal can also serve to lock a vehicle door and / or to close the lock.

Advantageously, it is conceivable that the signal is used to unlock a vehicle door and / or to open a lock of a vehicle door. In this case, it may be advantageous for a reference electrode to be provided, which is the first or the second or a third electrode, wherein the reference electrode has a monitoring zone which is inaccessible to the user, so that upon engagement of the user in the recessed grip, the first and / or the second electrode detects a change in capacitance without the reference electrode detecting a capacitance change, whereby the signal is triggered.

FIG. 1 schematically shows a motor vehicle 2, which is designed with a security system 1, which may include an access and / or driving authorization control system. In order for the user, who is not explicitly provided with a reference number, to be able to lock and / or unlock the motor vehicle 2, it is necessary for the "correct" identification transmitter 5 to be carried by the user. About a corresponding activation or actuation of the handle 10, which is arranged on the door 4 of the motor vehicle 2, an authorization query between the motor vehicle 2 and the ID transmitter 5, which the user carries with him, with a positive identification unlocking or ., A locking of the motor vehicle 2 and the door 4 takes place. So that a corresponding action on the vehicle side for checking the code or for activating the security system 1, in particular for a locking process or an unlocking process can be started, the handle 10 has a corresponding electronics 30, which detects an approach of the user.

The recognition of the user can for example be such that the handle 10 has a corresponding recessed grip 11, in which the user can intervene for the opening operation of the door 4. The recessed grip 11 is located between the inner surface 12.1 and the door 4. Like FIG. 2 illustrates the handle 10 is formed from a handle body 12 in which the electronics 30 is inserted within the cavity 17 of the handle body 12. The electronics 30 has two electrodes 31, 32, each having its own monitoring zone 41 and 42. Both monitoring zones 41 and 42 are located in the recessed grip 11, which lie between the inner surface 12.1 and the motor vehicle body and the door 4. According to FIG. 2 For example, the electronics 30 have a first electrode 31 directly attached to a circuit board 34. The second electrode 32 is connected to the circuit board 34 via a cable element 35. The second electrode 32 does not have its own board. The monitoring zone 41 of the first electrode 31 is slightly larger than the monitoring zone 42 of the second electrode 32. In the present embodiment according to FIG FIG. 2 Both monitoring zones 41, 42 overlap a little. Now, when the user reaches into the grip 11, the electrodes 31, 32 recognize this action of the user. In the present embodiment, both electrodes 31, 32 operate as capacitive sensors.

Both electrodes 31, 32 are spaced from one another within the cavity 17 of the handle body 12. In addition, the circuit board 34 has a third electrode 33, which has a monitoring zone 43. The monitoring zone 43 is aligned with the outer surface 12.2 of the handle body 12. The electronics 30 is connected so that upon detection of the hand of the user of the first electrode 31 and the second electrode 32, a signal generated by the electronics and / or sent to trigger an unlocking motor vehicle side and / or an opening operation of the lock 3 of Door 4 according to FIG. 1 trigger. The electrode 33, however, is responsible for detecting a corresponding action of the user on the outer surface 12.2 of the handle body 12 to trigger a locking process on the motor vehicle side. The third electrode 33 may, for. B. be implemented as a piezoelectric element and / or piezoelectric sensor, which can detect the extent to which the user acts on the corresponding activation area 18, or contacted this area 18 or exerts a corresponding force on this area 18. It is also conceivable that the third electrode 33 operates as a capacitive sensor. It is sufficient here for the user to merely enter this surveillance zone 43 or to exercise a corresponding movement pattern within the surveillance zone 34.

In order to ensure a good functionality of the electronics 30, the handle 10 has various shielding elements 13.1, 13.2 and 13.3. These shielding elements 13 effectively prevent the electrodes 31, 32, 33 from reliably detecting the user in the respective monitoring zones 41, 42, 43. The first electrode 31 is the Associated shielding 13.1, which is arranged between the outer surface 12.2 and the board 34. The second electrode 32 also has a shielding element 13. 2, which is located between the second electrode 32 and the outer surface 12. 2 of the grip body 12. In addition, a further shielding element 13.3 is provided on the handle 10, which is fastened between the inner surface 12.1 and the third electrode 33. All shielding elements 13.1, 13.2, 13.3 are made metallic, wherein these shielding elements 13 prevent the functionality of the electrodes 31, 32, 33 from being influenced by external disturbing influences. Each of the shielding elements 13 may be metallic. It is also conceivable that the shielding elements 13 are formed as a metallic foil. In the present embodiment according to FIG. 2 the shielding element 13.2 is attached directly to the second electrode 32. The shielding 13.1, however, is attached to the board 34.1. The shielding 13.3 is arranged on the inside of the cavity 17 of the handle body 12. It is also conceivable that the shielding 13.1, 13.2 in or on the handle body 12, namely the outer surface 12.2 of the handle 10 are facing.

According to FIG. 2 the handle 10 is pivotally mounted about an axis 16 which lies on the inside of the motor vehicle 2. Here, the handle 10 includes a first free end 14, which is positioned inside the motor vehicle. In addition, the handle 10 includes a second free end 15, which is also located inside the motor vehicle, in particular within the motor vehicle door 4 itself.

According to the embodiment shown FIG. 2 the electronics 30 is surrounded by a housing 36. This housing 36 forms with the electronics 30 a common component, in particular an electronic module, which is used in the assembly 17 of the handle 10 in the cavity 17. Within the housing 36 is a potting compound, which is explicitly not provided with a reference numeral, whereby the electronics 30 is protected from environmental influences, such as moisture, dust, etc. Alternatively, it is conceivable that the arrangement of the electronics 30 without housing 36 takes place within the handle 10.

The first electrode 31 and the second electrode 32 have sensor surfaces 31.1 and 32.1, the sensor surfaces 31.1, 32.1 being directed toward the recessed grip 11. That means the Sensor surfaces 31.1, 32.1 parallel to the body of the motor vehicle, in particular the motor vehicle door 4 extend. This is schematically by FIG. 3 clarifies the example shows the sensor surface 32.2.

In FIG. 4 is schematically substantially the handle 10 according to FIG. 2 represented, wherein in a simplified representation, the monitoring zone 41, 42 in the grip 11 do not overlap. A triggering of a signal by the electronics 30 takes place only when both electrodes 31, 32 detect the user in both monitoring zones 41, 42. It is also conceivable that it is sufficient for a triggering of a signal when one of the two electrodes 31, 32 recognize the user within the grip 11.

According to FIG. 5 the handle 10 has three electrodes 31, 32, 33, each having a monitoring zone 41, 42, 43, all of which are located within the grip 11. Here, the monitoring zone 43 of the third electrode 33 is chosen so small that it is not accessible to the user. The third electrode 33 may be provided as a reference electrode, so that upon engagement of the user in the recessed grip 11, the first and / or the second electrode 31, 32 detect a detection without the reference electrode 33 recognizes the user. Nevertheless, a signal is triggered by the electronics 30 to trigger a corresponding function on the motor vehicle side, or by the security system. If, however, a detection of an object within the grip 11 by all three electrodes 31, 32, 33, the electronics is switched or programmed so that no signal is triggered. In this way, it can be avoided, for example, that in the event of rain, any false triggering by the electronics 30 takes place.

All features according to FIG. 2 can also be in FIG. 4 and FIG. 5 be present, so at this point just up FIG. 2 Reference is made. This means that z. B. the electronics 30 with a housing 36 according to FIG. 2 also in FIG. 4 and FIG. 5 can be provided. It is also according to FIG. 5 conceivable that a further sensor element may be provided, which the sensor element 33 according to FIG. 2 equivalent.

The handle 10 off FIG. 2 . FIG. 4 and FIG. 5 may also have surveillance zones 41, 42, 43 which are substantially the same size.
