Description
Tropfer-Kappe-System.The invention relates to a dropper for discharging drops of a fluid from a container, comprising a drip channel having a drip channel inlet for introducing the fluid into the drip channel and a drip channel outlet for discharging droplets from the drip channel and the drip channel inlet facing away from the conical channel region End of the cylindrical channel region is formed.
In the known dropper is disadvantageous that the desired discharge amount or drop size is often insufficiently dosed. This is in particular the risk that more fluid is delivered than is actually necessary for the intended application. This results in unnecessary waste, which leads to higher costs. In particular, when mixing two components of a two-component material, there is an increased risk that the components to be mixed together are not mixed together in the predetermined mixing ratio. As a result, there is a risk that the desired properties of the two-component material due to an unfavorable mixing ratio of the two components are adversely affected. In addition, it is disadvantageous that at least with respect to one of the two components often an increased amount of rejects arises, which causes higher costs.
It is therefore the object underlying the invention to develop a dropper of the type mentioned in such a way that the deliverable drop quantities are better dosed and / or the rejects are significantly reduced.
The object underlying the invention is achieved by a dropper of the type mentioned, in which the drip channel exit is formed as a remote from the cylindrical channel region end of the conical channel region.
In this case, it is advantageous that due to the cylindrical channel region assigned to the drip channel inlet and / or adjoining the drip channel inlet, it is possible to achieve shear, in particular controllable, of the fluid. In particular, due to its shearing action on the fluid, the cylindrical channel region serves to reduce the viscosity of the fluid. Preferably, an approximation of the viscosities of different fluids can be achieved by means of the shear force effect of the cylindrical channel region. As a result, very similar droplet sizes and / or discharge quantities can be achieved, in particular with the same dropper, even for different fluids with differing viscosities. Furthermore, when the fluid passes from a container through the drip channel inlet into the drip channel, an uneven flow can occur. Preferably, the cylindrical channel region is formed such that an at least largely formed, stationary, uniform and / or reproducible flow for the fluid already results within the cylindrical channel region. In particular, an at least substantially developed, steady, uniform and / or laminar flow is achieved after a distance of the fluid within the cylindrical channel region in the range of 0.3 to 0.5 times the inner diameter of the cylindrical channel region. In particular, the conical channel region adjoining the cylindrical channel region in the direction of flow allows a continuous transition of the flow and / or a generally formed, stationary, uniform and / or reproducible flow. Preferably, the cylindrical channel region serves to produce a thixotropic and / or pseudoplastic behavior in a fluid conducted through the cylindrical channel region of the drip channel. Particularly in the case of a pseudoplastic and / or thixotropic fluid, the viscosity decreases, in particular as a function of time, due to an applied shear stress. Thus, due to the shear force effect of the cylindrical channel region, the corresponding fluid becomes less viscous. After completion of the shear stress, the viscosity, in particular time-dependent increases again. Preferably, the shear stress acts on the passage and flow of the adjoining the cylindrical channel region conical channel region. In particular, due to the cylindrical channel region, a lower viscosity of the fluid at the drip channel outlet can be achieved. By means of the cylindrical channel region can thus be achieved, in particular time-dependent, shear thinning. As a result, smaller drops and / or discharge quantities can be realized. Thus, a higher exploitation is possible, whereby the amount of waste and / or unnecessary costs are reduced. Particularly in connection with the mixing of two components of a two-component material, the dropper according to the invention enables a better, more optimal mixing ratio. This ensures that the two-component material has the desired properties.
In particular, a metered delivery of the fluid is facilitated by means of the dropper according to the invention. The dropper may be designed such that the drop weight is in the range of 10 mg to 50 mg, in particular in the range of 1 mg to 2 mg, preferably about 1.5 mg. The drop volume is preferably in the range from 10 μl to 50 μl, in particular in the range from 10 μl to 30 μl, preferably in the range from 10 μl to 20 μl. Here, μl stands for microliters. At a dose of five drops, the deviation may range from ± 0.5 mg to about ± 2 mg, especially about ± 1.5 mg. The diameter of the dropper according to the invention is preferably designed as a function of the viscosity, the rheological and / or the physical properties of the fluid assigned to the dropper.
The cylindrical channel region preferably transitions into the conical channel region at its end facing away from the drip channel inlet. In particular, the inner diameter of the conical channel region increases starting from the cylindrical channel region in the direction of the drip channel exit. Starting from the cylindrical channel region and away from the drip channel inlet in the direction of the drip channel exit, the conical channel region thus widens. This reduces the risk of the formation of an uneven flow during the transition from the cylindrical channel region into the subsequent channel region. The conical configuration of the adjoining the cylindrical channel region channel region can prevent segregation of, in particular filled, fluid and / or the increase in the viscosity of, in particular thixotropic, delaying fluids after shear action in the cylindrical channel region. A filled fluid may comprise an adhesive, nanoparticles, and / or a thixotropic agent. In particular, an end of the conical channel region facing away from the cylindrical channel region is assigned to the drip channel outlet. The drip channel exit is preferably formed by the end of the conical channel region facing away from the cylindrical channel region. The drip channel inlet can be designed as an end of the cylindrical channel region facing away from the conical channel region. In particular, the drip channel is formed from the cylindrical channel region and the conical channel region.
According to a development, the cylindrical channel region has a channel length in the range of 0.5 mm to 2.5 mm. In particular, the channel length of the cylindrical channel region is in the range of 0.7 mm to 2 mm, preferably in the range of 0.9 mm to 1.5 mm. Particularly preferably, the channel length of the cylindrical channel region is 1 mm. In particular, the channel length is selected such that a sufficiently large shear force effect for reducing the viscosity can be achieved by means of the cylindrical channel region.
Preferably, the cylindrical channel region has an inner diameter in the range of 0.2 mm to 1 mm. In particular, the inner diameter of the cylindrical channel region is in the range of 0.3 mm to 0.7 mm. Preferably, the inner diameter of the cylindrical channel region is 0.5 mm or 0.3 mm. In particular, the inner diameter is selected as a function of the channel length of the cylindrical channel region such that a sufficient decrease in the viscosity of the fluid can be achieved on account of the generated shear force effect. The shear rate and / or the speed of gravity may range from 0.1 per second to 250 per second, more particularly in a range from 10 per second to 250 per second.
According to a further embodiment, the drip channel outlet has an inner diameter in the range of 1.00 mm to 2.00 mm. In particular, the inner diameter of the drip channel outlet is in the range of 1.2 mm to 1.8 mm. Preferably, the inner diameter of the drip channel outlet is 1.5 mm. The drip channel exit may have a canted edge, in particular with an obtuse angle between a side wall of the conical channel region and an outer wall. In the case of a canted edge of the drop channel exit, a drop of the fluid can be detached from the dropper directly at the canted edge of the drop channel exit. Alternatively, the edge of the drip channel outlet may be rounded or curved. As a result, larger drops, in particular with a larger drop diameter can be generated. Preferably, by the size the inner diameter of the drop channel outlet determines the drop size and / or the discharge amount of the fluid.
According to a development, the drip channel has a total length in the range of 4 mm to 8 mm. In particular, the total length of the drip channel is in the range of 5 mm to 7 mm, preferably in the range of 5.2 mm to 6.5 mm. Preferably, the total length of the drip channel is made up of the channel length of the cylindrical channel region and the channel length of the conical channel region. This results in an overall simple structure for the drip channel, although considerably improved drip properties can be realized on account of the cylindrical channel region initially arranged in the direction of flow of the fluid and the conical channel region following downstream.
According to a further embodiment, the drip channel is arranged in a cylinder element. The cylinder element may be surrounded by a collecting area for collecting overflowing and / or excess fluid. Thus, at least for a given amount of fluid, the catchment area prevents the fluid from flowing down the dropper and / or a container connected to the dropper. As a result, unwanted impurities are avoidable. The collecting area can be formed as a depression and / or basin-like. In particular, the catchment area has a depression, a groove, a catch collar and / or a raised edge. Thus, the overflowing fluid can flow into a basin, a sink and / or a groove to be collected there. In particular, the collecting area is designed as a collecting ring. The collecting ring and / or an annular groove may be arranged surrounding the cylinder element.
Preferably, a plug-in socket for inserting and / or securing the dropper in an opening of a container is arranged below the cylinder element and / or the collecting area. The plug-in base may be substantially cylindrical and / or tubular. At one end remote from the catchment area and / or the drip channel, the plug-in base may have at least one or two slots or notches. Preferably, the slots or notches extend in the direction of the drip channel. In particular, the slots or notches facilitate complete emptying of a container connected to the dropper or plug. In particular, the plug-in socket is designed for the positive and / or non-positive connection to a container. For example, the plug-in socket can be inserted into the opening of a bottle neck of the container.
According to a development, a first drip channel for a first fluid and a second drip channel for a second fluid can be provided. Preferably, the first drip channel and the second drip channel are aligned parallel to each other. Especially serve the two drip channels for dispensing each of a component of a two-component material. The first droplet channel may be provided for connection to a first reservoir for the first fluid and the second droplet channel for connection to a second reservoir for the second fluid. The first reservoir and the second reservoir may be associated with the same container or each with its own container. In particular, the first drip channel and the second drip channel are identical or identical. Alternatively, the first drip channel and the second drip channel for a predetermined discharge amount and / or for a predetermined mixing ratio of the fluids from the first reservoir and the second reservoir to be coordinated. By means of the first drip channel and the second drip channel, the two fluids or the two components from the two reservoirs and / or containers can be dispensed in a dosed manner in a simple manner and in a desired mixing ratio. The first drip channel and the second drip channel may differ from one another and be formed as a function of the viscosity, the rheological and / or the physical properties of the fluids assigned to the first drip channel or the second drip channel. In particular, the design of the first drip channel and of the second drip channel is adapted as a function of the material properties of the respective associated fluid and of the predetermined mixing ratio of the two fluids or components. In this case, the inner diameter at the drip channel inlet and / or at the drip channel outlet, the channel length of the cylindrical channel region and / or the conical channel region can be adapted to achieve the predetermined mixing ratio. Preferably, however, the first drip channel and the second drip channel are identical, independently of the fluid.
Advantageous is a dropper-cap system with a dropper according to the invention and with a cap for opening and closing the dropper. Preferably, the cap has a plug for closing the drip channel. In this case, the plug can at least partially penetrate into the drip channel. To close the drip channel, the plug is at least partially on the inside of the drip channel, in particular in the region of the conical channel region on. Preferably, the plug is elastic, whereby damage to the dropper or the drip channel is avoided. Alternatively, the stopper may be made stiff and / or the dropper may be elastic. In particular, the cap for covering a catchment area of the dropper has a flange for application to an inner side of the support area. Preferably, the inside of the collecting area, on which the flange rests, on a side remote from the cylinder element of the dropper side of the collecting area. Thus, the cap covers the catchment area, in particular in a position for closing the drip channel, thereby avoiding outflow of fluid located in the catchment area out of the catchment area. In particular, the flange is web-like and / or ring-shaped.
Of particular advantage is a container, in particular a bottle, with a dropper according to the invention or a dropper cap system according to the invention. Such a container allows the delivery of smaller drops and / or deliveries in a more metered manner than before. As a result, a greater exploitation can be realized. Depending on the type of fluid used and with the same starting amount, up to 8%, in particular up to 20%, preferably up to 30%, particularly preferably up to 50%, of additional droplets or applications can be realized compared to previously customary drippers.
Preferably, the container contains a dental fluid. In particular, the container and / or the dropper serves for dispensing a medical and / or dental fluid, in particular a dental material. Preferably, the fluid is a liquid. In particular, the fluid and / or dental material is one of the following: A technical adhesion promoter, a bonding, in particular a self-etching and / or self-adhesive bonding, a cement liquid, a pharmaceutical, an endodontic rinsing liquid, a dyeing solution, a resin emulsion (in particular with a mixing ball), a ceramic liquid, a bleaching agent and / or an etchant.
The container may at least partially allow compression, whereby the delivery of a drop can be influenced. Preferably, the drip channel exit is directed in a storage position of the container upwards, whereby an inadvertent outflow of the fluid is avoided from the container. For dispensing at least one drop, the container with the dropper is in particular rotated in such a way that the drip channel outlet is directed substantially downwards
In particular, the dropper has a drip channel section and a base section. The base portion may be used to dispose and / or fix the dropper to a container, in particular a bottle. By way of example, the base section may have a base and / or plug-in socket for inserting and / or fastening the dropper in an opening of a container. The base section may have a, in particular cylindrical, interior space and / or line section for supplying a fluid to the cup channel section and / or the drip channel, in particular the drip channel inlet. Preferably, the drip channel is arranged in the drip channel section. The drip channel portion may be formed as a cylinder member of the dripper. In particular, the drip channel section with the drip channel is arranged downstream relative to the base section. Thus, the base portion may be disposed upstream relative to the drip channel portion. In particular, the flow direction results upstream and / or downstream of the fluid when using the dropper to deliver at least one drop from a container to the dropper. Preferably, within the drip channel section and / or the drip channel, the cylindrical channel region merges into the conical channel region at its end facing away from the drip channel inlet. In particular, the diameter of the cylindrical channel region, preferably at the transition of the cylindrical channel region to the conical channel region, corresponds to the smallest diameter of the conical channel region.

In this embodiment, the
According to the embodiment shown here, the
Starting from the
In the position of the

insertion socket 23, thedropper 10 can be inserted into the opening of a bottle neck of a container not shown here. A stored in the container fluid is dosed dispensed by means of thedropper 10 in drop form. In this case, the fluid firstly enters an interior of theinsertion socket 23. By means of the 24, 25 it is ensured that even small residual quantities from the container reach thenotches dropper 10. This allows at least substantially complete emptying of the container.
When using the
