Description

The invention relates to a machine for bagging elongated food products, in particular breads.

L'invention concerne également un procédé d'ensachage d'un produit alimentaire allongé.The invention also relates to a method of bagging an elongate food product.

For bagging breads in mass-market shopping centers, it is known to EP-B-0 779 209 which discloses the preamble of claim 1, EP-B-1 028 054 or EP-A-2 511 188 , to use a bagging machine for packaging breads in bags formed from a sheath wound on a reel. When bagging bread, the sheath is unwound on a tray and shaped by means of a blower system so that the end of the bread can be inserted into the sheath. Once the sheath is held in place by the insertion of the bread, the sheath is cut, folded and welded to form a bag in which the bread can then be completely inserted.

Such a machine can be improved. The shape of the end of the sheath is circular, and therefore rather adapted to the introduction of loaves of substantially circular section. When introducing a bread having a flat base, it is likely to be blocked by the edges of the sheath. In addition, once the bag formed by cutting, folding and welding of the sheath, it is no longer held in position, so that the projection of the bread at the bottom of the bag is not complete.

Other types of bagging machines, known in particular from US-B-3,508,379 , use piles of prefabricated bags that are flattened and stacked on top of one another. Such a machine uses a completely different process and requires the prior manufacture of the bags.

It is these drawbacks that the invention intends to remedy by proposing a new bagging machine for breads, making it possible to bag breads more efficiently than the machines of the state of the art, and allowing bagging. more varieties of bread.

For this purpose, the invention relates to a bagging machine as defined in claim 1.

Thanks to the invention, an edge of the end of the sheath is pressed against the tray, which allows flat-bottomed loaves to be more easily inserted into the bag. In addition, since the sheath is held in position before cutting, the end of the bread no longer needs to be inserted in the sheath before the formation of the bag, and the bread can then be propelled properly to the bottom of the bag.

According to advantageous but non-mandatory aspects of the invention, such a bagging machine may incorporate one or more of the features, taken in any technically permissible combination, defined in claims 2 to 11.

The invention also relates to a bagging method as defined in claim 12.

The bagging machine 1 comprises, at the outlet of the introducer conveyor 15 on the plate 10, a locking member adapted to lock the sheath 7 in position against the plate 10 before the cutting and welding of the sheath 7 by the means 13, to form the bag 11. The locking member comprises a flap 19 adapted to fall back into the sheath 7 when shaped by the blower system. The shutter 19 is rotatable about an axis Y19 perpendicular to the axis X-X ', between a first raised position shown in FIGS. Figures 1 and 2 , and a second folded position, represented in Figures 3 to 7 , in which the flap 19 is folded substantially parallel to the plate 10. In its second position, the flap 19 exerts a force F2 perpendicular to the plate 10 which plates a lower edge 70a of an end 70 of the sheath 7, open on the introductory treadmill 15, against the plate 10, to hold it in position.

The passage of the flap 19 between its first and second position, and vice versa, is obtained by means of a jack or any other mechanical, electrical or pneumatic actuator. According to a not shown embodiment, in its first position, the flap 19 can be retracted under the plate 10.

The flap 19 makes it possible to form the bags 11 before the introduction of the loaves 3, by implementing a bagging process taking place in the following manner: the sheath 7 is unwound from the reel 5 on the plate 10. The unwinding sheath 7 is shaped using the blower system, while the edge 70a of the sheath 7 is locked against the plate 10 by means of the shutter 19. Once locked in position, the sheath 7 is cut off folded and welded using means 13 for cutting, folding and welding. A bag 11 is thus obtained. Then, the loaves 3 are inserted into the bags 11 thus formed, by means of the introductory treadmill 15, while the bag is held in place on the plate 10 by the flap 19 which clamps against the tray.

This method makes it possible to form the bags 11 from the sheath 7, before the introduction of the loaves 3. The bag 11 thus formed being held in position by the flap 19 along the axis X-X ', the insertion of the loaves 3 is facilitated, and the correct positioning of the loaves 3 at the bottom of the bags 11 is obtained.

Le sachet 7 alors formé est prêt à l'introduction du pain 3.In order to prevent the flow of air F1 generated by the fan 17 from disturbing the positioning of the sheath 7 on the plate 10 after unwinding the coil 5, the blower system of the machine 1 comprises a second fan 21, blowing from a space located under the introductory conveyor belt 15, and which generates a flow of air F3 substantially parallel to the plate 10, and whose speed is less than the speed of the air flow F1 generated by the first fan 17. When placing the sheath 7 on the plate 10, the fan 17 is deactivated and the fan 21 is activated. The speed of the air flow F3 is sufficient to open the sheath 7 so that the flap 19 can be folded against the edge 70a and maintain the sheath 7 against the plate 10, without the sheath 7 is returned to the rear or to the side by too strong a flow of air. Then, when the sheath 7 is held in place by the flap 19, the fan 17 is switched on and the air flow F1 of the fan 17, whose speed is greater than the air flow 21, makes it possible to pressurize the sheath 7 of way that the jaw 13 does not destabilize the sheath 7 during the cutting, folding and welding operations. The bag 7 then formed is ready for the introduction of the bread 3.

The flap 19 makes it possible to press the edge 70a of the bag 11 against the plate 10 so that loaves 3 having a flat base can be introduced more easily.

Les extrémités libres 231 des guides latéraux 23 pénètrent dans la gaine 7 lorsque celle-ci est mise en place sur le plateau 10 et mise en forme par le ventilateur 21.When breads 3 of square section must be introduced, it is necessary to spread the edges of the bag 11 to prevent the corners of the bread 3 does not hit the edges of the bag 11 and crease it. For this purpose, the bagging machine 1 comprises two lateral guides 23 pivotally mounted relative to the frame above the introductory conveyor belt 15, each around a vertical axis Z23 or Z23 'and perpendicular to the plate 10 and to the 'X-X axis'. The free ends 231 of the lateral guides 23 penetrate into the sheath 7 when it is placed on the plate 10 and shaped by the fan 21.

As shown in figure 5 before the transfer of a roll 3 onto the introducer conveyor 15, the lateral guides 23 are returned by elastic elements such as springs 233 in a position where they are folded towards each other at 15. When a bread 3 moved along the axis XX 'by the introduction conveyor belt 15 passes between the lateral guides 23, they are pushed back by the bread 3 and to the against the force of the springs 233, towards the outer edges 150 of the introduction treadmill 15, so that lateral edges 70b of the end 70 of the bag 11 are widened by the ends 231 of the guides 23, which are engaged in the bag 11, to facilitate the introduction of the bread 3.

Une fois que le pain 3 a été inséré dans le sachet 11, les guides latéraux 23 sont à nouveau repoussés dans leur position de la figure 2 sous l'action des ressorts 233.Once the bread 3 has been inserted into the bag 11, the lateral guides 23 are again pushed back into their position of the figure 2 under the action of the springs 233.

The springs 233 have an adjustable stiffness, which makes it possible to modify the force necessary for their spacing, according to the weight of the breads 3 to be bagged and the forward speed of the introductory treadmill 15.

As a variant, the springs 233 may be replaced by any type of elastic elements able to push the lateral guides 23 into their position of the figure 2 .

A second and a third embodiment of the invention are respectively represented on the Figures 10 to 12 , and 13 and 14 . In these embodiments, the elements common to the first embodiment bear the same references and operate in the same way. Only differences with respect to the embodiment of the Figures 1 to 9 are detailed below.

In the embodiment of Figures 10 to 12 , to ensure that the upper part of the loaves 3 does not come into contact with an upper edge 70c of the bags 11 during their introduction, the machine 1 comprises a guide 25 movable in rotation about a parallel axis Y25 to the axis Y19, relative to the frame and placed above the plate 10 at the outlet of the conveyor belt 15. The guide 25 is held by a not shown spring, which acts against the mass of the guide 25, in his position of the figure 10 , in which it does not spread the edge 70c of the bag 11 to limit the contact force with the bread 3 during its introduction into the bag 11. When a bread 3 is conveyed by the conveyor belt 15, the guide 25 is pushed by the bread 3 so that a free end 251 of the guide 25, which enters the bag 11, spreads the edge 70c towards the outside of the bag 11 to facilitate the introduction of the bread 3 into the bag 11.

With the flap 19, the lateral guides 23 and the guide 25, when the bread 3 is introduced into the bag 11, the edges 70a, 70b and 70c of the end 70 thereof are spaced and shaped as is represented on the figure 12 , which allows the insertion of a bread 3 flat base and whose cross section is non-circular.

In the embodiment of Figures 13 and 14 , the plate 10 comprises a first portion 10a located on the side of the jaw 13, and a second portion 10b located on the side of the introductory treadmill 15. Each of the first and second parts 10a and 10b is provided with a movable cleat shown allowing the transfer of a bagged bread 3 to a side of the tray 10 perpendicular to the axis XX 'according to arrows F4 at the figure 9 . In order to adapt the length along the axis X-X 'of the plate 10 to different lengths of bread, the second portion 10b of the plate 10 is movable in translation relative to the first portion 10a along the axis X-X' , parallel to the direction of bagging.

Depending on the length of the bread 3 to bag, the second portion 10b is moved along the axis XX 'and at least one metal plate 10c is folded between the parts 10a and 10b as shown in dashed lines on the figure 14 . Thus, the length of the tray 10 can be adapted to the length of the breads 3 by the person who performs the bagging, which makes the bagging and transfer of bread after bagging more reliable.

The machine 1 may comprise one or more metal plates 10c that can be folded between the parts 10a and 10b depending on the length of the breads to be bagged. When short loaves are bagged, all the metal plates 10c are raised on one side of the tray 10 so that, as shown in FIG. figure 13 , the parts 10a and 10b are juxtaposed to each other along the axis X-X '.

The invention has been shown in connection with the use of a baguette type bread. It is in fact applicable with all types of bread and, in general, with any elongated food product, such as sausage or an article of pastry.

The features of the various embodiments and variants described above can be combined to form new embodiments of the invention.
