Description

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung und ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von für eine Top-Load-Befüllung mit Produkten geeigneten Schachteln.
Für die Verpackung von Lebensmitteln oder Pharma-Produkten ist eine Vielzahl unterschiedlicher Verpackungsschachteln bekannt. Häufig werden Faltschachteln eingesetzt, die vorgefertigt und platzsparend im zusammengelegten Zustand angeliefert und beim Befüller über Aufrichter aufgefaltet werden. Eine solche Faltschachtel ist beispielsweise in der DE 44 29 095 A1 oder der DE 20 2008 015 493 U1 beschrieben.
Die DE 280 731 A1 beschreibt eine Vorrichtung zum Auffalten solcher vorgefertigter Kartonzuschnitte als Bestandteil von Verpackungsanlagen. Die Vorrichtung besteht aus einem Magazin zur Aufnahme eines Stapels der Kartonzuschnitte sowie einem Aufrichter mit einem drehbar gelagerten Schwenkhebelsystem. Zumeist sind die Zuschnitte solcher Schachteln einteilig.
Bei "Zigarettenschachtel"-ähnlichen Verpackungen ist eine Befüllung zumeist nur über die Öffnung des Deckels möglich. Kennzeichnend für diese Art von Verpackungen ist häufig auch das Vorhandensein eines Kragens, der der Schachtel Stabilität verleiht. Ein solcher Kragen dient ferner dem Wiederverschluss des Deckels. Solche Klappschachteln sind beispielsweise in der DE 10 2010 011 923 A1 , DE 102009060 134 A1 , DE 10 2011 119 344 A1 beschrieben. Diese Verpackungen bestehen aus einer Außenschachtel und einer Einlage, die den Kragen bildet. Für die Herstellung einer solchen Schachtel werden die Kartonzuschnitte der Einlage vom Kartonhersteller auf dem Kartonzuschnitt der Außenschachtel geklebt und an die Befüller geliefert. Diese richten die Schachteln samt Einlage ähnlich einer Faltschachtel auf und befüllen diese wie gewohnt mit Produkten. Eine Befüllung erfolgt häufig mit flach liegenden Schachteln, deren Öffnung seitlich angeordnet ist. Problematisch ist jedoch hierbei, dass der Karton der Einlage eine Kante bildet, die beim Einschub des Produktes ein Hindernis darstellen kann.
Die CN 102179958 A beschreibt eine Vorrichtung zur Herstellung von für eine Top-Load-Befüllung mit Produkten geeignete Schachteln, die eine Klebeeinrichtung zum Anbringen von Klebestellen an Teilen der Einlage und einen Aufrichter zur Erzeugung einer vorgefalteten Außenschachtel aufweist. Die vorgefaltete Außenschachtel wird über eine Transportanordnung aufgenommen und weitertransportiert. Eine Halteeinrichtung nimmt eine vorgefaltete Einlage auf, wobei eine mit der Halteeinrichtung verbundene Hubeinrichtung zum passgenauen Einsetzen der vorgefalteten Einlage in die vorgefaltete Außenschachtel vorgesehen ist.

Die erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung besteht aus einem ersten Magazin für einen ersten Kartonzuschnitt, der für die Erzeugung einer Außenschachtel vorgesehen ist. Ein zweites Magazin stellt einen weiteren Kartonzuschnitt für die Einlage zur Verfügung. Die Einlage wird in die Außenschachtel eingesetzt und bildet den späteren Kragen der gefalteten Schachtel. Ferner umfasst die Vorrichtung zumindest eine Fördereinrichtung für den Transport des ersten Kartonzuschnitts der Außenschachtel und des weiteren Kartonzuschnitts für die Einlage. Bevorzugt ist für jeden Kartonzuschnitt eine eigene Fördereinrichtung vorgesehen. Ein Aufrichter faltet die Außenschachtel entlang der am Kartonzuschnitt vorgegebenen Faltlinien zusammen. Ein weiterer Aufrichter richtet die Einlage auf, die im weiteren Verfahrensverlauf in die Außenschachtel eingesetzt wird. Die Vorrichtung umfasst ferner zumindest eine Klebeeinrichtung zum Anbringen von Klebestellen an Teilen der Außenschachtel und/oder der Einlage. Bevorzugt ist eine getrennte Klebeeinrichtung für die Außenschachtel und eine weitere Klebeeinrichtung für die Einlage. Das Anbringen der Klebestellen erfolgt bei der Außenschachtel vorzugsweise an den Befestigungslaschen. Bei der Einlage können die Klebestellen entweder an den Seitenwänden oder dem Basisteil angebracht werden. Typischerweise handelt es sich bei den Klebestellen um Heißklebepunkte.
Die Vorrichtung umfasst ferner ein Taktband zur Aufnahme und zum Weitertransport der vorgefalteten Außenschachtel. Bevorzugt nimmt das Taktband die vorgefaltete Außenschachtel auf und führt diese zur Einsatzstelle, bei der das Einsetzen der vorgefalteten Einlage in die Außenschachtel erfolgt. Hierfür sind eine Halteeinrichtung zum Halten der vorgefalteten Einlage und eine mit der Halteeinrichtung verbundene Hubeinrichtung zum passgenauen Einsetzen der vorgefalteten Einlage in die vorgefaltete Außenschachtel vorgesehen. Nach dem Einsetzen der Einlage kann die Schachtel mit dem Produkt von oben (d.h. Top-Load) befüllt werden. Dabei erfüllt die Befüllung nicht über den eigentlichen Deckel der Schachtel, sondern über deren Rückwand, die aufgeklappt ist. Die Schachtel liegt somit beim erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren mit der Vorderwand auf dem Taktband auf.
Um die Klebeverbindung zwischen den Seitenteilen der Einlage und den Seitenwänden der Außenschachtel sicherzustellen, sind an der Hubeinrichtung bewegbare Pressbacken vorgesehen, welche die Seitenteile der in die Außenschachtel eingesetzten Einlage gegen die Seitenwände der Außenschachtel drücken. Alternativ können die Pressbacken auch die Seitenwände der Außenschachtel gegen die Seitenteile der Einlage drücken. Die Pressbacken sind bei üblichen Kartonstärken notwendig, um die Seitenteile der Einlage und die Seitenwände der Außenschachtel zur sicheren Klebeverbindung zusammenzupressen.
An dem Taktband sind vorzugsweise quer dazu angeordnete Mitnehmer positioniert. Die Mitnehmer haben hierbei zwei Funktionen. Sie sorgen zum einen für den Transport der Außenschachtel zum Einsatzort, bei dem die Einlagen in die Außenschachteln eingesetzt werden. Gleichzeitig bieten die Mitnehmer eine Andruckfläche, die den Druck der Pressbacken aufnimmt, wenn die Seitenteile der in die Außenschachtel eingesetzten Einlage von den Pressbacken gegen die Seitenwände der Außenschachtel gedrückt werden. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner ein Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 5 zur Herstellung von für eine Top-Load-Befüllung geeigneten Schachteln. Bei einer ersten Ausführungsform ist es ausreichend, wenn eine Klebestelle an dem Basisteil der Einlage angebracht wird, um die Einlage mit der Außenschachtel zu verbinden. Die Seitenteile der Einlage würden dann lediglich an den Seitenwänden der Außenschachtel (genauer gesagt den Seiteninnenwänden) anliegen, ohne mit diesen verklebt zu sein.
Bei bestimmten Produkten (z.B. Tabletten oder Schrauben) kann es vorkommen, dass die Produkte beim Befüllen zwischen die Seitenwand der Außenschachtel und das Seitenteil der Einlage fallen bzw. gedrückt werden, was unbefriedigend ist. Aus diesem Grund werden bei einer bevorzugten Variante die Klebestellen an den Seitenteilen der Einlage angebracht, um diese schlüssig mit den Seitenwänden der Außenschachtel zu verbinden. Ein zusätzliches Aufbringen einer Klebestelle am Basisteil der Einlage ist möglich, jedoch nicht notwendig. Bei den Klebestellen handelt es sich vorzugsweise um Klebepunkte oder Klebestreifen. Vorzugsweise kommt ein Leim oder ein Heißklebestoff zum Einsatz.
Nach dem Anbringen der Klebestellen erfolgen die Faltung der Außenschachtel aus dem ersten Kartonzuschnitt sowie die Faltung der Einlage aus dem weiteren Kartonzuschnitt. Eine Hubeinrichtung ermöglicht ein passgenaues Einsetzen der vorgefalteten Einlage in die Außenschachtel. Erfindungsgemäß werden beim Einsetzen der Einlage in die vorgefaltete Außenschachtel die Seitenteile der Einlage gegen die Seitenwände der Außenschachtel mittels an der Hubeinrichtung vorgesehenen bewegbaren Pressbacken gepresst. Zusätzlich oder alternativ können auch die Seitenwände der Außenschachtel gegen die Seitenteile der Einlage gepresst werden. Vorzugsweise werden hierfür separate Andruckflächen verwendet, gegen die die Seitenteile der Einlage und/oder die Seitenwände der Außenschachtel gepresst werden. Vorzugsweise sind diese Andruckflächen an den Mitnehmern des Taktbandes ausgebildet.
Die beiden Kartonzuschnitte für die Außenschachtel bzw. die Einlage werden separat in der Vorrichtung verarbeitet. Ein vorheriges Verkleben der Einlage mit der Außenschachtel ist im Gegensatz zu früheren Vorrichtungen oder Verfahren nicht mehr notwendig.
Der Kartonzuschnitt für die Außenschachtel umfasst eine Vorderwand, zwei Seitenwände, einen Deckel und einen Boden, wobei an den freien Kanten der Seitenteile, den Außenkanten des Deckels und des Bodens mit seitlichen Schrägen versehene Befestigungslaschen vorgesehen sind. Die Vorderwand und die beiden Seitenwände weisen eine durchgehende Sollbruchlinie auf. Diese ermöglicht das Aufklappen des Deckels bei Ingebrauchnahme der Schachtel. An der Vorderwand ist eine Verschlusslasche ausgebildet, die ein Verschließen des Deckels ermöglicht. Der Kartonzuschnitt für die Einlage umfasst ein Basisteil und zwei daran ausgebildete Seitenteile. An der Oberseite des Basisteils befindet sich eine Aussparung, damit bei Ingebrauchnahme der Schachtel auf den Schachtelinhalt besser zugegriffen werden kann. Ferner befindet sich am Basisteil ein Schlitz zur Aufnahme der Verschlusslasche der Außenschachtel. Die Einlage bildet beim Öffnen der Außenschachtel entlang der Sollbruchlinie einen Kragen.
Die Vorderwand der Außenschachtel ist nach dem Einsetzen der vorgefalteten Einlage nach unten orientiert, so dass die Rückwand der Außenschachtel für eine Top-Load-Befüllung geöffnet ist. Nach dem Befüllen wird die Rückwand vor dem Verschließen der Außenschachtel vorzugsweise entlang einer Faltlinie überbrochen.
Die erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung, das Verfahren zur Herstellung von für eine Top-Load-Befüllung mit Produkten geeigneten Schachteln sowie die damit hergestellten Schachteln werden in einer Ausführungsform in den nachfolgenden Zeichnungen näher erläutert, worin zeigen:

In Fig. 1 ist eine erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung gezeigt, die aus einem ersten Magazin 1 für die Kartonzuschnitte 20 der Außenschachtel 21 und einem weiteren Magazin 2 für die Kartonzuschnitte 30 der Einlage 31 besteht. Die Kartonzuschnitte 20 der Außenschachtel werden über eine Fördereinrichtung 3 zu einem Aufrichter 7 befördert. Anschließend erfolgte eine Verklebung der Befestigungslaschen der Außenschachtel 21 mit einer Klebeeinrichtung 5. Bevorzugt kommt ein Heißklebeverfahren zur Anwendung, bei dem der Klebstoff nach dem Aufbringen zügig trocknet.
Von dem Magazin 2 für die Kartonzuschnitte 30 der Einlage 31 werden die Kartonzuschnitte 30 ebenfalls über eine Fördereinrichtung 4 zu einem Aufrichter 8 befördert. Anschließend erfolgt das Anbringen von Klebestellen an den Seitenteilen 53, 54 der Einlage 31.
Die vorgefalteten Einlagen 31 werden über eine Halteeinrichtung 9 (Vakuumsaugeinrichtung) gehalten und über eine Hubeinrichtung 14 in die vorgefaltete Außenschachtel 21 eingesetzt. Hierfür werden die vorgefalteten Außenschachteln 21 über ein Taktband 10 zu dem Einsatzort für die Einlagen 31 transportiert. Der Transport erfolgt über Mitnehmer 11, die quer an dem Taktband 10 angeordnet sind. Der Abstand der Mitnehmer 11 entspricht vorzugsweise dem Durchmesser der Schachtel, so dass diese passgenau in den von den Mitnehmern 11 gebildeten Aufnahmebereich einsetzbar ist. Gleichzeitig stützen die Mitnehmer 11 die Seitenwände der Außenschachtel von außen ab.
Das Einsetzen der Einlage 31 in die Außenschachtel 21 am Einsatzort erfolgt über eine vertikal bewegbare Hubeinrichtung 14, an der zwei parallel zueinander angeordnete Pressbacken 12 bewegbar angeordnet sind. Claims (12)

  1. Apparatus for producing cartons that are suitable for top load filling with products, comprising:
    - a first magazine (1) for a first cardboard blank (20) of an outer carton (21),
    - a second magazine (2) for an additional cardboard blank (30) of an insert (31) for the outer carton (21),
    - at least one conveying device (3, 4) for transporting the first carboard blank (20) of the outer carton (21) and the additional cardboard blank (30) for the insert (31),
    - at least one adhesive device (5, 6) for attaching adhesive points to parts of the outer carton (21) and/or of the insert (31),
    - an erecting means (7) for producing a pre-folded outer carton (21),
    - an additional erecting means (8) for producing a pre-folded insert (31),
    - a timed belt (10) for receiving and further transporting the pre-folded outer carton (21),
    - a holding device (9) for holding the pre-folded insert (31),
    - a lifting device (14), connected to the holding device (9), for placing the pre-folded insert (31) precisely into the pre-folded outer carton (21), characterised in that movable clamping jaws (12) are provided on the lifting device (14), which clamping jaws press the side parts (53, 54) of the insert (31), which is placed into the outer carton (21), against the side walls (41, 42) of the outer carton (21) and/or press the side walls (41, 42) of the outer carton (21) against the side parts (53, 54) of the insert (31).
  2. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that drivers (11) are positioned on the timed belt (10) so as to be transverse thereto, which drivers define a receiving region for receiving and holding an outer carton (21) and comprise a pressure surface (13) that counteracts the pressure of the clamping jaws (12) when the side parts (53, 54) of the insert (31), which is placed into the outer carton (21), are pressed against the side walls (41, 42) of the outer carton (21) by the clamping jaws (12).
  3. Apparatus according to either claim 1 or claim 2, characterised in that the holding device (9) is a vacuum suction device that is movable together with the lifting device (14).
  4. Apparatus according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that an additional adhesive device (6) for the insert (31) is provided in addition to the adhesive device (5) for the outer carton (21), and an additional conveying device (4) for the cardboard blank (30) of the insert (31) is provided in addition to the conveying device (3) for the cardboard blank (20) of the outer carton (21).
  5. Method for producing cartons that are suitable for top load filling, comprising the steps of:
    - providing a first cardboard blank, provided with fold lines, for an outer carton,
    - providing an additional cardboard blank, providing with fold lines, for an insert for the outer carton,
    - attaching adhesive points to parts of the outer carton and/or of the insert,
    - folding the first cardboard blank to form an outer carton,
    - folding the additional cardboard blank to form an insert for the outer carton,
    - holding the pre-folded insert by means of a holding device,
    - placing the pre-folded insert precisely into the pre-folded outer carton by means of a lifting device that is connected to the holding device, characterised in that, when the insert is being placed into the pre-folded outer carton, the side parts of the insert are pressed against the side walls of the outer carton and/or the side walls of the outer carton are pressed against the side parts of the insert, by means of movable clamping jaws provided on the lifting device.
  6. Method according to claim 5, characterised in that, when the insert is being placed into the pre-folded outer carton, the side parts of the insert are pressed against the side walls of the outer carton and/or the side walls of the outer carton are pressed against the side parts of the insert.
  7. Method according to either claim 5 or claim 6, characterised in that the side parts of the insert and/or the side walls of the outer carton are pressed against a separate pressure surface.
  8. Method according to claim 7, characterised in that the pre-folded outer carton is received by a timed belt and is transported further to the location at which the insert is placed in, the outer carton being held by drivers that simultaneously form the pressure surface for the side parts of the insert and/or the side walls of the outer carton when the side parts of the insert or the side walls of the outer carton are pressed on.
  9. Method according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the adhesive points of the insert are attached to the side parts thereof and/or the base part thereof that is defined on both sides by the side parts.
  10. Method according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the cardboard blank for the outer carton comprises a front wall, a rear wall, two side walls, a lid and a base, fastening tabs having lateral inclined surfaces being provided on the free edges of the side parts and on the outer edges of the lid and of the base, the front wall, the rear wall, the two side walls, the lid and the base comprising a continuous predetermined breaking line, and a closure tab being provided on the front wall, and in that the cardboard blank for the insert comprises a base part and two side parts, a recess and a slit for receiving the closure tab of the outer carton being provided on the upper edge of the base part, and the insert forming a collar when the outer carton is opened along the predetermined breaking line.
  11. Method according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the front wall of the outer carton is oriented downwards after the pre-folded insert has been placed into the pre-folded outer carton, and the rear wall of the outer carton is opened for top load filling.
  12. Method according to claim 11, characterised in that the rear wall is raised along a fold line before the outer carton is closed.
