Definitions

  • the inventions relates to an ergonomic support adjustable in height, such as for example a supporting net and a chaise-longue (long seat), for adapting it to the different shapes of the persons back and supporting the same and providing also for a massaging effect.
  • Ergonomic supports of various kind as supporting net and chaises-longue are known, both provided for single uses and constituted by a support structure to be applied on the floor by lower support legs, while the nets may also be applied into the correspondent support structure of beds and settees, and these supports are provided with a plurality of separated lengthened staves, made by an adequate wood, with strong elastic characteristics, as for example the beech, which staves are arranged in the transverse direction with respect to the relative support structure and inserted with their end portions into correspondent supports made in elastic material such as for example rubber, which are applied on to said support structure.
  • the support nets are normally realized with a central net portion having a horizontal rectilinear shape, hinged to a rectilinear portion acting as headboard and to a rectilinear portion acting as footboard, of which the central rectilinear portion is fixed and cannot be lifted or lowered, while the headboard and footboard portions are associated with a relative mechanism allowing them to be moved from a lowered position to a lifted position thereof within determined limits, in such a way that when both headboard and footboard portions are lowered, they are aligned with the central net portion, so as to form a horizontal laying surface, and when either one or both headboard and footboard portions are lifted they allow the lifting respectively of the bust and the head of the persons and/or the legs and the glutaeus of the same persons.
  • this condition doesn't represent an optimal and efficient solution for supporting persons with these particular pathologies, and doesn't allow moreover to carry out a function of massage and stimulation of the back's areas affected or non-affected by these pathologies, as it would be on the contrary desirable for getting better the tissues tone of the back and to facilitate the relaxing and the de-contraction of the muscles of the same.
  • the object of the present invention is to provide for an ergonomic support adjustable in height, in its central area, so as to adapt the profile of this support to the different shapes of the persons back, in order to support in an efficient way the persons affected by the above-mentioned pathologies, and also the persons who aren't affected by such pathologies, and to produce also a massaging effect on the back of the same persons.

  • an ergonomic support adjustable in height for supporting persons as for example a support net and a chaise-longue is schematically represented, which can be adapted to the different shapes of the persons back for supporting the same and providing also for a massaging effect.
  • such ergonomic support is illustrated in the Figures 1-14 in the shape of a support net 5 for singles uses or for beds and settees, whereas in the Figure 15 it is realized in the shape of a chaise-longue.
  • the Figures 1 and 2 show a first embodiment of the present support net 5, displaced in the rest position in which all the net upper surface has an horizontal rectilinear shape, which net is substantially constituted by a support structure 6 formed by a peripheral frame 7 of rectangular shape which, in the use as single net, i£ provided with lower legs 8 for being laid on the floor, and in the combination with beds or settees (not shown in the Figures), is applicable removable in the correspondent support structure of such beds and settees (not shown), in such a way as to be laid onto this latter support structure, and this net is furthermore constituted by a plurality of spaced away lengthened staves 9 of the same size, which are curved convex, made by an adequate wood, with strong elastic characteristics, as for example the beech, on to which the persons supporting mattress is laid, said staves being applied on to the peripheral frame 7 by a plurality of support elements 10 made of rubber or other elastic material, joined with the end portions of the staves 9 and so shaped as to be fixed
  • staves 9 comprise a set of pairs of staves assembled and joined to each other, which pairs are spaced away to each other for all the length of the peripheral frame 7 and are formed by a first pair of stationary staves 14, arranged in the central area of the net 5 and constituting an horizontal rectilinear upper surface, and moreover by a set of movable staves, arranged along the net 5 from the one and the other side of the first pair of stationary staves 14, and this set is constituted in the present example by a second and a third pair of movable staves 15 and 16, arranged approached to each other and situated in correspondence of the lumbar area of the persons, and by a fourth and a fifth pair of movable staves 17 and 18 arranged approached to each other and situated in correspondence of the glutaeus of the persons.
  • the support elements 10 of the pairs of movable staves 15 and 16 are fixed to and supported by the pivots 1 1 secured to a lengthened flat plate 19, housed into two box-like guide members 20 and 21 identical to each other and adequately fixed internally the relative longitudinal side edge 12 and 13 of the net 5, and such flat plate 19 is sliding in height into such box-like guide members 20 and 21 and is actuated from a lowered position to a lifted position thereof, by a first respective movable leverage 22, projected in the lower side of the net and shaped and supported by the opposed longitudinal side edge as it will be described, wherein both the movable leverages 22 are communicating to each other through a transversal shaft 23 passing though a gearmotor unit 24 of per se known type, and actuatable by the component members of such gearmotor unit, which in turn is housed into a lengthened container 25, supported by the frame 7 in the lower and central part thereof and extended in the longitudinal direction of the net 5, which gearmotor unit is connected to the electric supply line through a suitable control keyboard (not shown), provided with control push-
  • Each movable leverage 22 is shaped with a first and second short lever 26 and 27 articulated to each other with their adjacent end portions, and the other end portions of which are articulated the one with a support bracket 28, secured below the relative longitudinal side edge 12 and 13 of the frame 7, and into which the transversal shaft 23 is rotatable housed, and the other one with a relative lengthened flat plate 19.
  • the raising height of which may be adjusted by displacing the levers 26 and 27 in different positions comprised between that completely lowered and that completely raised, the lumbar area of the back of the person laying onto the net arranges itself onto the staves of both the pairs of movable staves 15 and 16, thereby allowing to support and to maintain the back in this condition for the entire desired duration, and this situation appears extremely advantageous and favourable for persons affected by dorsal pathologies as lumbagos, scoliosis and lordosis.
  • the pairs of movable staves 17 and 18 are also supported at their end portions by a flat plate 29, arranged on and assembled internally the relative longitudinal side edge 12 and 13 of the net 5 as the previous flat plate 19, and actuatable in height by a respective second movable leverage 30, projected downward from the net and shaped in an identical and symmetrical manner with respect to the preceding movable leverage 22, as well as supported by the relative longitudinal side edge 12 and 13, wherein both the movable leverages 30 are communicating to each other by a further transversal shaft 31, which is parallel to and spaced away from the preceding shaft 23 and is passing through said gearmotor unit 24 and also actuatable like the shaft 23 in the same lowered and raised positions thereof.
  • each movable leverage 30 is shaped with a first and a second lever 32 and 33 identical and symmetrical with respect to the preceding levers 26 and 27 and which are articulated to each other in the same manner of these levers, and to a supporting bracket 34, fixed below the relative longitudinal side edge 12 and 13 of the frame 7, and into which the transversal shaft 31 is rotatable housed, as well as are articulated to the flat plate 29.
  • the levers 32 and 33 may be displaced in the same positions as described above, in which in the raised position of the pairs of movable staves 17 and 18 these latter support the glutaeus of the person, at the desired height and for the entire desired duration.
  • Such leverages 22 and 30 may be actuated singularly or contemporaneously also in a continuous manner, by acting on to correspondent keyboard control push buttons, so as to determine a slow and continuous lifting and lowering of either one or both the pairs of movable staves 15, 16, 17, 18, thereby obtaining an invigorating, relaxing and de-contracting massaging effect for the back of the persons, and the duration of such massaging treatment may be selected at will by the person or established automatically by a suitable timer included into the gearmotor unit 24.
  • the present support net 5 is also constituted by a plurality of further stationary staves 9, fixed to the support structure 6 as the preceding staves, from the one and the other side of the cited movable staves, and constituting respectively the headboard and the footboard of the net, and forming two horizontal rectilinear surfaces.
  • the Figures 4 and 5 show the pairs of movable staves 17 and 18 displaced in the raised position thereof, whereas the Figure 6 shows the pairs of movable staves 15 and 16 displaced in the raised position thereof, and the Figure 7 shows all the pairs of movable staves 15-18 displaced in the raised position thereof.
  • the Figures 8 and 9 show the net 5 displaced in the rest position in which all the net upper surface has a horizontal rectilinear shape, which net is substantially formed still by a first pair of stationary staves 14, arranged in the central area of the net 5 and constituting an horizontal rectilinear upper surface, and furthermore by a set of movable staves, arranged approached to each other along the net 5 from the one and the other side of the first pair of stationary staves 14, and in the present example this set is constituted by a second and a third pair of movable staves 35 and 36, situated in correspondence of the persons lumbar area, and by a fourth and a fifth pair of movable staves 37 and 38 situated in correspondence of the upper area of the persons back, as well as by a sixth and a seventh pair of movable staves 39 and 40 situated in correspondence of the net headboard.
  • the net 5 is further constituted by an eighth and a ninth pair of movable staves 41 and 42 arranged approached to each other and situated in correspondence of the persons glutaeus, and by an additional set of pair of movable staves 43, in the example formed by four pairs of movable staves, situated in correspondence of the net footboard. All the pairs of staves, stationary and movable ones, are supported by correspondent stationary and movable frames supported by the net peripheral frame 7 as it will be described, and in particular the staves 9 of the first pair of stationary staves 14 are secured to their end portions, always through the support elements 10, to a
  • Each movable leverage 50 is shaped with a first and a second short lever 54 and 55 and a third lever 56, which is longer than the levers 54 and 55 and articulated with these latter at their adjacent end portions, whereas the other end portion of the first lever 54 is articulated with a relative bracket 57, fixed below the correspondent longitudinal side edge 12 and 13 in correspondence of the end portion of the movable frame 45 which is approached to the pair of stationary staves 14, and the other end portion of the second lever 55 is articulated with a bracket 58 fixed below such movable frame 45 at the end portion opposed to the preceding one, and finally the other end portion of the third lever 56 is provided with a through slot 59 articulated by means of a stud 60 with a further fork-shaped bracket 61, by defining a portion 62 pivoted on to a bracket 63 fixed below the movable frame 46, at the end portion of this latter which is approached to the remaining headboard frame 47, and a lengthened and slightly curved portion 64, fixed below the movable frame 47 at the end
  • each movable leverage 51 is shaped with a single short lever 66, articulated at its one end portion with a bracket 67 fixed below the relative side edge 12 and 13, and at the other end portion with a further bracket 68 fixed below the movable frame 49, and the end portions adjacent to each other of said movable frames 48 and 49 are joined to each other by means of an articulation 69.
  • the first lever 54 rotates around the stud of the bracket 57 and may be displaced into different raised positions thereof, thereby determining the lifting of the pairs of movable staves at different heights.
  • the lever 55 raises itself slightly, by providing at one hand for a correspondent slight raising of both the pairs of movable staves 35 and 36 and the pair of movable staves 37 and 38, which are constrained to the preceding ones with the joint 65, and at the other hand by displacing forward the lever 56, thanks to the sliding of the stud 60 along the through slot 59 until the terminal position opposed to the previous one.
  • the sliding stroke of the stud 60 along the through slot 59 may be regulated in advance at will, by means of a regulating mechanism which in the illustrated example is constituted by a threaded bolt 70, the stem of which may be screwed or unscrewed in a relative inner thread (not indicated) of a bush 71, secured to the lengthened lever 56 in the terminal position of the through slot 59, in such a way that such stem interferes with the stud 60 and, depending on the position in which the threaded bolt 70 is screwed or unscrewed in the bush 71, it may limit in a different extent the sliding stroke of the stud 60 in the same through slot, thereby changing in a different extent also the raising height of the pairs of movable staves 35, 36 and 37, 38 and 39, 40.
  • a regulating mechanism may be made also in different manners than those illustrated by way of example only, thus without departing from the protection sphere of the present invention.
  • the net may be raised up to different heights and be regulated at will, thereby adapting itself to the curvature of the persons back and ensuring a comfortable support to the persons having or not having lumbar pathologies, scoliosis or lordosis etc...and also ensuring an effective support to the back upper part and the head of the persons.
  • Figure 15 shows another type of ergonomic support as a traditional chaise-longue, provided with a raising and lowering mechanism of the persons back, applied in the central area of the same support.
