Description

The invention relates to a method for producing a knitted piece on a flat knitting machine with at least one first needle bed, in which needles are driven expelled by at least one knitting system, at least one independently driven first yarn guide and at least a first knitting system, wherein the yarn guide and the or Knitting systems are movable parallel to the longitudinal direction of the needle bed.

The direction of movement of a knitting system corresponds to the knitting direction.

From the US 4,757,697 A Thread guides are known for the production of intarsia knitting, which are guided together with casserole blocks on thread guide rails. The thread guides can be fixed to the blocks by means of lever arms. The blocks are motorized by means of belts on the yarn guide rails, whereby the yarn guides can be moved autonomously by carriages and thus moved into their respective color field.

Flat knitting machines with self-propelled yarn guides are known. In these flat knitting machines, each thread guide has its own drive. This has the advantage that the thread guides can be stopped exactly at any area of a row of knitting. In particular, independently driven thread guides are independent of a knitting system and independently drivable and movable.

So far flat knitting machines are used with self-propelled yarn guides mainly for the production of intarsia knitting, in which the limits of the color field meshes are met exactly. Ways to use flat knitting machines with self-propelled yarn guides for other complicated knitted fabrics, have not been shown.

Object of the present invention is to remedy this situation.

This object is achieved according to the invention by a method for producing a knitted fabric on a flat knitting machine with at least one first needle bed, in which needles are driven expelled by at least one knitting system, at least one self-powered first yarn guide and at least a first and a second knitting system, the or the yarn guides and the knitting systems are movable parallel to the longitudinal direction of the needle bed, in which
  1. a. With a first knitting system and the first yarn guide stitches of the knitted piece are formed by the first knitting system is moved in the knitting direction, thereby expelled needles and thread is inserted into the expelled needles,
  2. b. subsequently, in the case of needles driven off by a second knitting system, the first thread guide is moved counter to the knitting direction at least behind the last needle position in which thread was inserted with the first knitting system, and a thread is inserted into the expelled needles.

The first and the second knitting system each comprise a knitting lock, which is driven by a carriage. The first and second knitting cam can be arranged on the same carriage and thus be moved by the same carriage. By the method according to the invention it is possible to plate by means of self-propelled yarn guides and to produce split meshes. In particular, when cladding with the method of the invention, certain areas in a knit can be reinforced or stabilized. It may be thread of a different color, structure or other material, such as a melted thread or a elastic thread, plated in predetermined areas. The yarn guide positions to each other are always individually and independently of the knitting system adjustable. This makes it possible to set which thread should be at the top or bottom. Furthermore, several needles are plated side by side. It can be exchanged alternately upper and lower thread with each needle. No special plating yarn guide is required. The method of the thread guide against the knitting direction can be referred to as Reversalfahrt.

If split stitches are produced with the method according to the invention, openings can be produced in the knitted fabric, for example for the implementation of other yarns. Furthermore, a knit widening can be performed on the fabric edge. For this purpose, a thread take-up can take place via two or more needles of the opposite needle bed.

To increase productivity, partial stitches can be formed on the meshes just produced by means of reversal travel. It will be inserted in selected areas of knitted fabric an additional course.

According to a variant of the method it can be provided that in step b. Thread with the first and a second self-powered yarn guide is inserted. Thus, two threads are inserted into expelled needles. This makes it possible to knit with two threads, namely a thread from the first thread guide and a thread from the second thread guide, and thus to plate.

According to a further variant of the method it can be provided that in step b. knitting on the same needle bed as in step a. The entire knitting process can thus be carried out on only one needle bed.

Furthermore, it can be provided that in step b. a thread guide runs after the other thread guide. By selecting the thread guide, which precedes, it can also be determined which thread is up or down in the case of a clad knitted fabric.

In principle, it is conceivable in step b. only insert thread, but do not knit stitches. This is advantageous when split meshes are to be generated. On the other hand, it is conceivable in step b. also to form stitches. This is particularly advantageous if cladding is to be performed.

According to a further variant of the method it can be provided that in step b. knitting on a different needle bed than in step a. This is particularly advantageous when split meshes are to be formed.

Further advantages arise when in step a. the penultimate needle, which is knitted before the thread guide changes its direction of movement, is floated. In step b. can be started at the position of the needle that has been floated, with the knitting or with one or more threads a stitch are formed. It can be closed by knitting holes in the fabric to be closed.

After step b. For example, stitches can be formed with the first and / or second yarn guide and a third knitting system by driving out needles and inserting yarn into the driven-out needles by the third knitting system, whereby the third knitting system is moved in the direction of knitting. As a result, stitches of the basic knit can be formed. The needle of the last stitch, which in step a. can be floated.

As a further variant, it can be provided that in step b. Mists are formed on the expelled needles. It is thus an additional row of knitting, limited to the possible number of needles, in which a thread can be inserted formed. This serves to increase productivity.

Hereinafter, the front needle bed is marked with V, the back needle bed with H, the needles of the front needle bed with capital letters, and the needles of the rear needle bed with lower case letters.

According to the Fig. 1a are formed on the needles A to F of the front needle bed V by means of a first self-propelled yarn guide and a first knitting system with a thread 1, which is guided by the first yarn guide stitches. The knitting direction is here to the right. The needle G is floated, in the needle H, a mesh is again generated. With the needles A to H a basic knitting is formed. The position of the first thread guide is denoted by the reference numeral 2 and the position of a second thread guide, which is also driven independently, is designated by the reference numeral 3. The second self-propelled yarn guide leads a thread 4. The second thread guide was brought via known Einschnicktechniken in the fabric. The thread guides then move in expelled needles against the knitting direction, ie in the embodiment to the left. In this case, thread is inserted into the needle G of the front needle bed with both the thread 1 and the thread 4 of the first and second thread guide and knitted a stitch. This is done with a second knitting system, which is also in the knitting direction, ie from left to right, moved. So there is a plating on the needle G of the front needle bed. Through a plating offset the thread guides can create the desired plating. For example, the first thread 1 of the first thread guide may be leading down, while the thread 4 of the second thread guide is trailing up, or vice versa. The plating on the mesh G is in the Fig. 1b shown. Evidently the Fig. 1c In the same direction of carriage, ie in the same knitting direction, the needles I to P are knitted with the thread 1 with a third knitting system, the needle H being floated. It would also be possible to knit these needles with the second yarn guide and the thread 3 or both yarn guides.

According to the Fig. 2a are formed on the needles A to F of the front needle bed V by means of a first self-propelled yarn guide and a first knitting system with a thread 10 which is guided by the first yarn guide stitches. The knitting direction is to the right. With the needles A to F a basic knitting is formed. Evidently the Fig. 2b new stitches are picked up on the needles e and f in the carriage direction to the right in a second system 2. The thread guide moves against the carriage direction to pick up the stitches f and e.

According to the Fig. 2c The needles G to K are knitted in the carriage direction to the right with a third knitting system. The thread insertion on the needles e, f creates a split mesh, via two needles. This creates a crosshair. As a result, a more stable knitted piece is produced. The drive of the thread guide against the knitting direction (reversal travel) can be done via one or two needles.

According to the 3a are formed on the needles A to F of the front needle bed V by means of a first self-propelled yarn guide and a first knitting system with a thread 100 which is guided by the first yarn guide stitches. The knitting direction is to the right.

According to the Fig. 3b meshes on the needles F and E in a second system on the in Fig. 3a formed meshes formed. The thread guide moves against the carriage direction to the left.

According to the Fig. 3c the needles G to J are knitted with a third knitting system in the direction of knitting to the right.
