Abstract

Fired heat exchanger comprising an external jacket (2) in a cylindrical shape, closed on one end with a bottom (9) and on the other with a bottom (10) fitted with a hole. The external jacket (2) houses an internal jacket (1) also of a cylindrical shape, closed on one end like the external jacket (2) with a bottom (11) and on the other with a bottom (12) fitted with a hole. Between the holes in the bottoms (10, 12), a common passage (5) is formed to introduce a burner into the combustion chamber (13) located inside the internal jacket (1). A common outlet hole (14) for exhaust is made in the side wall of the internal jacket (1) and the side wall of the external jacket (2). A sealed heated fluid flow chamber (4) is formed between the internal jacket (1) and external jacket (2). The chamber (4) is equipped with an inlet and outlet stub pipe for fluid.

Description

Fired heat exchanger
The invention relates to a fired heat exchanger, used especially in industrial central heating systems.
Polish patent application PL 383 188 A3 discloses a heat exchanger for heating fluids in central heating systems, which comprises a set of tubes of different diameters and dual walls forming cylindrical gaps along the entire length of the tubes, through which water flows and which are closed at the bottom and top and all the gaps in the walls, through which water flows are connected with stub pipes at the bottom and top.
Cylindrical channels are located between the tubes around their entire circumference and along the full height, through which exhaust flows. The set of tubes is concentrically and vertically arranged. The external tube of the exchanger with dual walls is closed at the top with an external and internal bottom. The exhaust tube passes through the bottom sides and between the external and internal bottom, and there is a stabilisation and drainage tank for hot fluid. The external tube of the exchanger is higher than the internal tubes; it forms a cylindrical chamber at the bottom that houses a burner or other source of heat.
Polish patent application PL 386 41 1 A3 discloses a heat exchanger for heating fluids in central heating systems, which comprises a tightly connected set of elements through which heated fluid flows. These elements are located in a cylindrical jacket and positioned in spaced arrangement to create gaps for exhaust flow. The exchanger jacket is longer than the remaining elements and is covered at the top with a dual wall head, which forms a stabilisation and drainage tank for hot fluid. The chamber that houses the burner, over which an exhaust deflector is located, is placed on the bottom in the exchanger axis.
International patent application PCT /KR2008/006438
(W02009/078577) discloses a known boiler that has a cylindrical enclosure, a vertical fluid-gas exchanger with combustion chamber located in the top section as well as a set of tube elements through which exhaust flows, located inside the external jacket, forming a chamber through which heated water flows.
The purpose of the invention is to develop a heat exchanger design facilitating control of the heated fluid flow rate and to reduce exchanger dimensions, which allows for a gain of material savings.
Fired heat exchanger comprising an external jacket, combustion chamber equipped with an inlet for the introduction of a burner and a flow chamber of heated fluid equipped with an inlet and outlet stub pipe, according to the invention, is characterised in that inside the external jacket of a cylindrical shape, closed at one end with a bottom and on the other with bottom fitted with a hole, there is an internal jacket also in the shape of a cylinder, closed on the same side as the external jacket with a bottom and on the other with a bottom fitted with a hole; however, between the holes in the bottoms, there is a common inlet for introducing a burner to the combustion chamber located inside the internal jacket, and in the side wall of the internal and external jacket, there is a common exhaust outlet hole, and between the internal and external jacket, there is a sealed chamber for heated fluid flow.
Preferably, the ratio of fluid flow chamber cross-section radius Rz to combustion chamber cross-section radius Rw is within the range:
K Rz/Rw<10. To reduce the size of the exchanger, the combustion chamber is misaligned in relation to the heated fluid flow chamber.
Moreover, the flow direction control baffles are located inside the heated fluid flow chamber.
Moreover, the exhaust outlet hole houses an array of tubes connected with the heated fluid flow chamber.
Preferably, an additional tube packet for heat exchange is connected to the external jacket within the area of the exhaust outlet hole.
The fired heat exchanger, according to the invention, provides easy control of space inside the heated fluid flow chamber and of flow rate.
The invention is presented in exemplary embodiments in figures in which fig. 1 - presents exchanger equipped with array of tubes in axonometric projection, fig. 2 - side view of exchanger given in fig. 1 , fig. 3 - axial section of exchanger shown in fig. 1, fig. 4 - cross-section of exchanger with misaligned combustion chamber, fig. 5 - cross-section of exchanger shown in fig. 4 with additional tube array, fig. 6 - exchanger with additional heat exchange array.
According to the first embodiment of the invention, the fired heat exchanger comprises an external jacket 2 in a cylindrical shape closed on one end with a bottom 9 and on the other with a bottom 10 fitted with hole.
The external jacket 2 houses an internal jacket 1 also of a cylindrical shape, closed on one end like the external jacket 2 with a bottom 1 1 and on the other with a bottom 12 fitted with hole. Between the holes in the bottoms 10 and 12, a common passage 5 is formed to introduce a burner into the combustion chamber 13 located inside the internal jacket 1. A common outlet hole 14 for exhaust is made in the side wall of the internal jacket 1 and the side wall of the external jacket 2. Between the internal jacket 1 and the external jacket 2, there is a sealed chamber 4 for heated fluid flow, wherein flow direction control baffles 6 are located. The combustion chamber 13 is misaligned in relation to the flow chamber 4 of heated fluid, so that the chamber axes are misaligned by value x.
Chamber 4 is equipped with two inlet stub pipes 8 of heated fluid located in the lower part of the bottom 9 and the outlet stub pipe 7 located in the upper part of the bottom 9. Heat generated in the combustion chamber 13 is collected by fluid circulating in chamber 4.
According to the second embodiment of the invention, the exchanger described in the first embodiment is equipped with a tube array 3 installed in the exhaust outlet hole 14, which expands the heat exchange area, connected to the heated fluid flow chamber 4. Heat generated in the combustion chamber 13 is collected by fluid circulating in the chamber 4 and tube array 3.
According to other embodiment of the invention, the exchanger described in the first or second embodiment is equipped with an
additional heat exchange tube array 15 connected to the external jacket 2 within the area of the exhaust outlet hole 14. The tube array 15 can be releasably or non-releasably connected. Hot exhaust out- flowing from the combustion chamber 13 through the exhaust outlet 14 flows around the tube array 15, providing heat to the fluid heated inside.

Claims
1. A fired heat exchanger comprising an external jacket, heated fluid flow chamber equipped with an inlet and outlet stub pipe and a combustion chamber equipped with an inlet for the introduction of a burner, characterised in that inside the external jacket (2) of a cylindrical shape, closed at one end with a bottom (9) and on the other with a bottom (10) fitted with a hole, there is an internal jacket (1) also in the shape of a cylinder, closed on the same side as the external jacket (2) with a bottom (11) and on the other with a bottom (12) fitted with a hole: however, between the holes in the bottoms (10, 12), there is a common inlet (5) for introducing a burner to the combustion chamber (13) located inside the internal jacket (1), and in the side wall of both jackets, internal (1) and external (2), there is a common exhaust outlet hole (14), and between the internal jacket (1) and external jacket (2), there is sealed chamber (4) for heated fluid flow.
2. The exchanger according to claim 1 , characterised in that the ratio of fluid flow chamber (40 cross-section radius Rz to combustion chamber (13) cross-section radius Rw is within the range: l<Rz/Rw<10.
3. The exchanger according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the combustion chamber (13) is misaligned in relation to the heated fluid flow chamber (4).
4. The exchanger according to claim 1 through 3, characterised in that the flow direction control baffles (6) are located inside the heated fluid flow chamber (4).
5. The exchanger according to claim 1 through 4, characterised in that the tube array (3) connected to the heated fluid flow chamber (4) is located inside the exhaust outlet hole (14).
6. The exchanger according to claim 1 through 5, characterised in that an additional heat exchange tube array (15) is connected to the external jacket (2) within the exhaust outlet hole (14) area.
