Definitions

  • the invention relates to a drinking container with a drinking vessel and a drinking cap.
  • the drinking vessel is preferably a drinking bottle or a drinking cup and the drinking cap is preferably a drinking spout, a push-pull drinking cap, a drinking straw drinking cap or a drinking teat.
  • Drinking attachments have a bottom wall, an annular flange surrounding the bottom wall for attachment to the opening edge of the drinking vessel by means of a fastening ring and a mouthpiece projecting outwardly from the bottom wall with at least one drinking opening on the outside.
  • the drinking opening is connected via a passage with the inside of the mouthpiece.
  • the drinking cap When the drinking cap is designed as a teat, a sucker is connected to the ring flange via a suction grommet.
  • the teat is made in one piece from an elastomeric material.
  • the drinking opening is a hole or a slot or a plurality of holes or slots in the upper end of the suction part.
  • a slit valve on the circumference of the Saugertülle is present, which opens at a negative pressure in the bottle.
  • Radial grooves are also known on the underside of the annular flange, through which air can flow through between the annular flange and the opening edge of the drinking vessel.
  • seals of teat cups of drinking bottles are known in which slightly different angles of attack of the sealing surfaces with slight screwing do not lead to a complete seal.
  • Abdichtart usually one of the two sealing surfaces made of a soft elastic material.
  • the US 2737180 describes a teat of flexible material, which is protected from collapsing due to the Saugunter horres.
  • the teat has a spiral channel in the bottom of a mounting flange.
  • the teat is preferably formed of an elastic material or synthetic rubber and silicone rubber. But it can also be made of plastic materials with the same elastic properties, such as PVC.
  • Due to the elasticity of the air flow is adjustable by adjusting the cross section of the channel by tightening a screw ring for fixing the mounting flange to a drinking bottle is tightened.
  • the variability of the channel cross-section is promoted by the formation of the channel between easily deformable ribs.
  • the FR 2 548 894 A1 describes a one-piece teat made of a soft elastomer.
  • the teat has several channels, which take the form of a Have spiral section and are formed as a groove in the bottom of the flange.
  • the spiral sections each extend about 240 ° around their common center.
  • the channels should allow air to flow easily when there is a negative pressure in the bottle, and prevent the escape of liquid. Also with this teat, the extent of ventilation and the prevention of leakage of fluid depends on the tightening force applied to the screw ring.
  • the known nutrients with spiral channels have permanently opened drinking openings, so that protection against leakage of the upturned bottle is not possible.
  • the channels are mainly used to ventilate the bottles and prevent the collapse of the soft nipple while drinking. With firmly tightened Schaubring the channels are largely compressed, whereby the ventilation is greatly reduced. To ensure this even with strong compression, the channels have a large cross-section. For low tightening forces, liquid leakage is therefore easily possible.
  • the US Pat. No. 2,584,359 A handles drinking tips for drinking bottles with the aim of preventing the unwanted discharge of liquid food.
  • the US 3,022,914 A treats the closure and an adjustable ventilation for bottles, wherein the ventilation channel is formed by a circular recess in the top of the bottle and has two 180 ° offset openings for connecting the interior of the bottle to the outside.
  • the ventilation channel is formed by a circular recess in the top of the bottle and has two 180 ° offset openings for connecting the interior of the bottle to the outside.
  • a liquid leakage from the bottle over the ventilation duct is particularly easy.
  • the mouthpiece in the version as drinking spout (Spout).
  • the mouthpiece usually has an oval cross-section and is arranged eccentrically with respect to the annular flange.
  • a suction valve is integrated, which opens when a negative pressure.
  • a vent valve is integrated, which opens when a negative pressure builds up in the drinking vessel. The valves make the spouts leak-proof.
  • Mouthpiece, bottom wall and annular flange are preferably formed in one piece from hard plastic (hardspout).
  • soft drinking spouts which are made of one piece of silicone or natural rubber and have a slit valve in the mouthpiece and another slit valve in the bottom wall for ventilation.
  • a disadvantage of the known spouts is the high production costs.
  • drinking tops in the design as push-pull closure are known.
  • This has an externally accessible mouthpiece, which is arranged axially displaceable in a connectable with the drinking container mouthpiece holder.
  • the mouthpiece is reciprocable with the teeth or by hand between an open and a closed position. Because hands are generally not needed to open and close the closure, these drinking tips are particularly popular in the field of sports, recreational activities and drinking containers for children.
  • air flows through the open mouthpiece, for which the user must place the bottle.
  • air can flow through a vent valve in a bottom wall of the mouthpiece holder.
  • drinking attachments are known with a drinking straw. These have a drinking straw holder with a passage opening into which a drinking straw is sealingly inserted. An upper part of the drinking straw protrudes above the top of the drinking straw holder and a lower part protrudes from the underside of the drinking straw holder into the drinking vessel, in order to withdraw beverage from the drinking vessel during suction at the upper part.
  • the drinking straw can be sealed, for example, by bending over and fixing the bent drinking straw by means of a lid clamped onto the drinking straw holder.
  • a suction valve can be integrated in the drinking straw.
  • the drinking straw may be supported by a conical flange on a cone in the bottom wall of the drinking straw holder.
  • the cone of the bottom wall may be provided with ventilation holes. At a negative pressure in the drinking vessel, the flange of the drinking straw can lift off the ventilation holes, so that air can flow in from the outside. This requires the construction of a high negative pressure.
  • the present invention seeks to provide a less expensive leak-proof drinking container, which allows reliable ventilation and is leak-proof.
  • leakage safety is ensured by the shut-off of the drinking cap and the ventilation channel, which extends both in the radial direction and in the circumferential direction of the vessel opening.
  • the fact that the ventilation channel has a cross-sectional area in the range of 0.02 to 0.08 mm 2 a sufficient ventilation is possible and prevents unimpeded leakage of liquid.
  • the formation of the ventilation duct in the underside of the annular flange which consists of a rigid material prevents compression of the ventilation duct when tightening the screw ring to an extent in which the ventilation duct is largely compressed and adequate ventilation is no longer possible.
  • a sufficient rigidity of the material is given by the fact that this has a modulus of elasticity of at least 0.2 kN / mm 2 .
  • the ventilation channel When the ventilation channel circulates 0.75-fold around the center of the vessel opening, the container filled with beverage down to the bottom of the bottle does not run out.
  • at least one of the channel openings is at least at the level of the liquid level, so that the liquid does not run out.
  • the ventilation duct extends at least simply around the center of the vessel opening. As a result, leakage is prevented even if the drinking container is filled to the opening edge.
  • the ventilation duct extends several times, in particular 1.5 times, around the center of the vessel opening. In particular, these embodiments can prevent liquid leakage through the capillary effect when wetting the ventilation channel with liquid.
  • the ventilation channel extends on the annular flange several times around the center of the opening edge. Due to the multi-circumferential ventilation duct is achieved that even then a sufficient effective length of the ventilation duct is covered by the top of the opening edge when the annular flange is not arranged due to a match between the annular flange and screw ring exactly concentric on the opening edge. By several revolutions of the ventilation duct to the center can be ensured that the effective length of the ventilation duct always at least 0.75-fold, preferably 1.0-fold, further preferably 1.5 times rotates around the center of the opening edge.
  • the effective length of the ventilation channel runs at least 0.75-fold, more preferably at least 1.0-fold, further preferably 1.5-fold around the center of the vessel opening.
  • the inner and outer channel openings are located where the ventilation duct is not yet covered by the opening edge or by the annular flange.
  • the information in the claims to the circulations of the ventilation duct around the center of the opening edge refer to the effective length of the ventilation duct. This is the section of the ventilation duct covered below by the opening edge.
  • the ventilation channel extends a maximum of 10-fold, further preferably at most 7.5-fold, further preferably at most 5-fold, furthermore preferably 2.5-fold, around the center of the vessel opening.
  • the ventilation channel ensures sufficient fluid tightness that prevents leakage or dripping of liquid when the drinking container tips over. It is understood that no absolute liquid-tightness is sought here, since z. B. by intensive shaking, holding the drinking container with the drinking attachment down, if necessary both at the same time, the leakage of individual drops of liquid over time from the ventilation duct can be achieved, which is insignificant in practice.
  • the modulus of elasticity is at least 0.2 kN / mm 2 , more preferably at least 0.5 kN / mm 2 , further preferably at least 1 kN / mm 2 .
  • the modulus of elasticity is in the range of 1 to 2 kN / mm 2 .
  • the ventilation channel has a cross-sectional area in the range of 0.03 to 0.06 mm 2 , preferably in the range of 0.04 to 0.05 mm 2 . In these areas, the suction pressure to be overcome and the leak rate are favorable for drinking. These values are particularly favorable when the ventilation channel extends circumferentially 1 to 1.5 times around the center of the vessel opening.
  • the cross-sectional area of the ventilation duct has the same size everywhere, which is located within the claimed range.
  • the invention also includes embodiments in which the size of the cross-sectional area varies along the ventilation channel.
  • a variable size of the cross-sectional area may be provided, for example, to counteract the capillary effect.
  • the ventilation channel in the adjoining the channel opening areas have a larger cross section than in the other areas.
  • the ventilation channel has a spiral or a meandering or a labyrinth-like course around the center of the annular flange.
  • Other courses as well as combinations of the mentioned courses of the ventilation channel are possible.
  • the ventilation channel may have a plurality of channel sections which extend at different radii around the center of the vessel opening and are interconnected by one or more radially extending channel sections.
  • the ventilation channel can have courses whose center lies outside the center of the vessel opening.
  • the ventilation channel may have a plurality of inner channel openings and / or a plurality of outer channel openings. Preferably, however, it has only a single inner and a single outer channel opening.
  • the ventilation channel has a depth of 0.1 to 0.25 mm, preferably from 0.15 to 0.17 mm. According to a further embodiment, the ventilation channel has a width of 0.35 to 0.55 mm, preferably 0.45 to 0.5 mm. Ventilation channels with dimensions in the areas mentioned are advantageous in terms of manufacturing technology. This is especially true in the event that the carrier of the ventilation duct is injection molded from plastic.
  • Drinking containers according to the invention are preferably also designed so that they withstand greater extraction torques without damaging the support area, for example a multiple of 1.75 Nm, in particular 3.5 times twice, three times or four times thereof.
  • the cross-sectional area of the ventilation channel is basically arbitrary (eg rectangular, triangular, trapezoidal or bell-shaped). However, the cross-section preferably widens out toward the underside of the annular flange (for example triangular or trapezoidal) in order to facilitate demoulding during injection molding.
  • the ventilation channel has a bell-shaped cross-sectional geometry due to the production-related radii of the injection molds.
  • the support region between two adjacent channel sections of the ventilation duct has a width of at least 0.2 mm, preferably of at least 0.25 mm, preferably in the range of 0.3 to 0.35 mm. At these widths, the support area is protected against damage when tightening the screw ring at the assumed torque (of 1.75 Nm or above). This is particularly the case when the ventilation duct is formed in a plastic.
  • the ventilation channel is a groove in the underside of the annular flange or in the top of the opening edge.
  • the formation of the ventilation channel as a groove is advantageous for support areas with a width that is sufficiently stable against damage.
  • the ventilation channel is formed between ribs on the underside of the annular flange or on the top of the opening edge.
  • the opening edge has a width of 0.8 to 2.5 mm.
  • the opening edge preferably has a width of 1.0 to 2.5 mm.
  • it can also have a width of 0.8 mm.
  • the underside of the annular flange and / or the top of the opening edge on a roughness which reduces the capillary effect despite detergent-containing residues.
  • plastics from which drinking vessels and drinking articles are usually made are not wetted by water and other beverages, ie the contact angle of the liquid on a flat surface of the material is greater than 90 °. Under these conditions, liquid does not rise due to a capillary effect in the ventilation channel. If residual scavenging remains on the surface, however, the liquid may wet it, ie the contact angle is less than 90 °. This is counteracted in this embodiment by a roughness of the surface, which prevents wetting with liquid and thus a capillary effect.
  • This roughness is generated according to an embodiment in that the annular flange or the entire drinking cap or the opening edge or the entire drinking vessel is injection-molded by means of an injection mold, which is produced by milling, turning or eroding.
  • an injection mold which is produced by milling, turning or eroding.
  • the annular flange and the opening edge are circular disk-shaped or conical or spherical shell-shaped. Any combination of these geometries are possible.
