Description

The invention relates to a connector comprising an insulating body, a contact carrier, a shielding device and a plurality of contacts, which are intended to be arranged in the contact carrier, wherein the shielding device is pivotally supported on the insulating body.

Such a connector is used for example in the field of industry and telecommunications.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

The publication WO2010046293A1 describes a connector in which contacts are preassembled in a contact carrier, wherein the contact carrier is movable on a contact holder in a final assembly position. Furthermore, it is disclosed that the contact carrier can be latched in at least two axially offset positions in the insertion direction on the contact holder and that two pivotable shield plates are arranged on the connector housing and / or on the socket housing, which are pivotable from an angularly pivoted position into a tilted position on the plug housing ,

A disadvantage of such a connector is that it consists of several parts, whereby the handling during installation is relatively expensive.

Aufgabenstellungtask

The present invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide a connector whose assembly cost is relatively low.

This object is achieved in that the shielding device has first guide means, which are in operative connection with second guide means of the contact carrier, so that the contact carrier is insertable by a pivoting movement of the shielding device in the insulating body or attachable to the Isolierköper.

Advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.

The invention is a connector which, although made in several parts, is in one piece, i. in the form of composite items, can be delivered to a user. After manual insertion of contacts, e.g. Socket or pin contacts, in the contact carrier can be pivoted with a single movement, the shield device on the insulator, thereby introducing the contact carrier in the insulator or attached to the insulator, thereby fixed the contacts in their final position in the connector, the shield device on the insulator or on Locked contact carrier and thereby the contact carrier can be fixed in or on the insulating body.

This is particularly advantageous because the assembly effort is thereby reduced. The related items are already pre-assembled to the user and thus pre-sorted together and do not have to be put together by the user laboriously and assembled.

In particular, for assembly, the user only needs to insert the cable-connected, e.g., crimped, contacts into the contact carrier and depress the shield device, i. to pivot over the insulating body to mount the connector cable side, which is a significant reduction in the assembly cost over the prior art.

Furthermore, the dismantling is simplified. By pivoting back the shielding device it is unlocked again, the fixation of the contact carrier on the insulating body is released and the contact carrier is automatically pulled out again by the said operative connection from the insulating body. As a result, the fixation of the contacts is canceled, whereby they are removed again.

Furthermore, it is particularly advantageous if the insulating body has at least two preferably circular holes or recesses and the shielding device has at least two pivot pins which engage in the holes or recesses of the insulating body, because thereby the shielding device is pivotable about the pivot pins.

In a further advantageous embodiment, the insulating body has at least two pivot pins, and the shielding device has at least two circular holes or recesses which surround the pivot pin of the insulating body, so that the shielding device is pivotable about the pivot pins. As a result, such an arrangement can also be manufactured with little effort.

Furthermore, it is advantageous if the insulating body has at least two hinge windows and the shielding device has at least two hinge straps has, which engage in the hinge window, the insulating body, so that the shielding device is pivotally supported on the insulating body.

It is particularly advantageous if the first guide means of the screen device in at least one guide slot or at least one guide groove and the second guide means of the contact carrier consist in at least one guide pin which engages in the guide slot or in the guide groove of the screen device, wherein during the pivoting movement of the screen device the guide pin is guided along the guide slot or the guide groove, being moved by the shape of the guide pin in the direction of the insulating body and the contact carrier is inserted into the insulator or attached to the insulator, because such an arrangement with little effort to manufacture and works stably ,

In an advantageous embodiment, the shield device, which consists in particular of a zinc die-cast part, has several, preferably two, retaining lugs which advantageously prevent the contact carrier from being pushed out of the insulating body. The retaining lugs can advantageously be designed to be resilient in order to press the contact carrier and / or the insulating body over corresponding latching contours, for example via positively-locking pockets, into a fixed seating position and fix it there.

In a preferred embodiment, the shielding device can be locked on the insulating body and / or on the contact carrier. In particular, the insulating body and / or the contact carrier may have a latching nose on which the screen device engages, preferably with a first end of its guide slot or its guide groove, or with a specially provided opening. This has the advantage that the introduced into the insulating body or attached to the insulating contact carrier is fixed in or on the insulating body.

It is particularly advantageous if the contacts in their final positions in the connector can be fixed to the insulating body by insertion, in particular by insertion, of the contact carrier into the insulating body or by attaching the contact carrier. Such an embodiment will be described below. In this case, the insulating body on first through holes. The contact carrier has second through-holes for receiving the contacts, e.g. the pin or socket contacts, on. At one end of the second through-holes, the contact carrier has lamellae which comprise the received contacts. The first through-holes of the insulating body, preferably adjacent to the contact carrier, each have a funnel-shaped area. When inserting or attaching the contact carrier equipped with contacts in or on the insulating body, the contacts are at least partially inserted into the first through-holes thereof and the blades of the contact carrier are compressed by the funnel-shaped regions. This fixes the contacts in their final position in the connector.

Preferably, the insulator in the funnel-shaped portion of its first through-holes have special recesses, and the lamellae may have matching wing-like projections which engage in the special recesses and are compressed by the insertion of the contact carrier in the insulating body and thereby compressing the slats and thus the effect or at least support final fixation of the contacts in the connector.

Erstes Ausführungsbeispiel:First embodiment:

The Fig. 1 a and Fig. 1b represent in each case an exploded view of a connector 1 from different perspectives. The connector 1 comprises an insulating body 2, a contact carrier 3 and a shield device 4, and a plurality of contacts, which are designed as socket contacts 5.

Weiterhin besitzt der Isolierkörper 2 mehrere erste Durchgangsbohrungen 23.The insulating body 2 has two pivot pins 21 and two latching pins 22 of which only one is shown in the drawing, because the other is formed symmetrically thereto on an opposite side of the insulating body 2 and is thus hidden from the perspective shown by the insulating body 2. Furthermore, the insulating body 2 has a plurality of first through holes 23rd

The contact carrier 3 has two guide pins 31, of which also only one is visible in the drawing, because the other symmetrically to an opposite side of the contact carrier 3 is formed and is thus hidden from the perspective shown by the contact carrier 3. In the Fig. 1b can be seen by the contact carrier 3 going second through holes 34 which are provided for receiving the socket contacts 5. At that side of the contact carrier 3, which is intended to be inserted into the Isolierköper 2, 34 fins 32 are formed on these second through holes, which in the Fig. 1a are particularly good to see.

Die Schirmvorrichtung 4 besitzt zwei kreisrunde Löcher 41, sowie zwei Führungsschlitze 42.The screen device 4 is a stamped and bent part, preferably made of sheet metal. The shielding device 4 has two circular holes 41 and two guide slots 42.

The Fig. 2a shows one of several items, namely the insulating body 2, the contact carrier 3 and the shield device 4 set together connector 1, wherein the contact carrier 3 is not yet inserted into the insulating body 2. The guide pin 31 is located at a first end of the guide slot 42. From this representation, it can be seen that a pivoting movement of the screen device 4 about an axis passing through the pivot pin 21 axis of rotation guide the guide pin 31 in the guide slot 42 with subsequent latching of the first end of the guide slot 42nd on the locking pin 22, the contact carrier 3 hineinschiebt automatically in the insulating body 2 and holds there.

The Fig. 2b shows this arrangement together with two socket contacts 5, namely an already introduced as well as an inserted socket contact 5 in a Schittdarstellung. In this case, the section is made by a cutting axis S, which in the 3a is shown on the insulating body 2 of the locked connector 1.

In the Fig. 3a the screen device 4 is latched to the first end of the guide slot 42 on the locking pin 22 of the insulating body 2 and the guide pin 31 is located at a second end of the guide slot 42. For this purpose, the shield device 42 is previously pivoted in a pivoting movement about the pivot pin 21 via the insulating body 2. During this pivoting movement of the guide pin 31 is guided from the first end of the guide slot 42 along the guide slot 42 to the second end of the guide slot 42 and thereby introduced the contact carrier 3 in the insulating body 2.

Furthermore, it can be seen from this illustration that a pivoting back of the screen device 4 in the reverse direction, ie from the in Fig. 3a position shown in the in Fig. 2a and Fig. 2b shown position, a withdrawal of the contact carrier 3 from the insulating body 2 result, wherein the guide pin 31 is guided from the second end of the guide slot 42 along the guide slot 42 to the first end of the guide slot 42.

The Fig. 3b represents a section through the insulating body 2 with the inserted contact carrier 3. In this case, the contact carrier 3 is equipped with the socket contacts 5. Furthermore, it is shown that the first through-bore 23 adjacent to the contact carrier 3 has a funnel-shaped region 231, in which the corresponding blades 32 of the contact carrier 3 engage.

This funnel-shaped area 231 is in Fig. 3c shown enlarged. There is particularly good to see that the fins 32 are compressed by the funnel-shaped portion 231 during insertion of the contact carrier 3 in the insulating body 2 and thereby the socket contacts 5 in their final position in the contact carrier 3 and in the insulating body 2 and thus in the entire connector. 1 fix.

In the Fig. 4 is a section of the cut insulator 2 with the introduced contact carrier 3 without the socket contacts 5 shown. The funnel-shaped region 231 of the first through-bore 23 can be seen particularly well in this illustration. It will further be apparent that the lamellae 32 have lateral wing-like projections 321, and that the insulating body 2 has special recesses 25 at its funnel-shaped regions 231. In particular, the lamellae 32 are compressed by the wing-like projections 321 of the special recesses 25 of the funnel-shaped portion 231 during assembly of the contact carrier 3 with the insulating body 2 in these special recesses 25.

Fig. 5b zeigt eine entsprechende Vergrößerung. Fig. 5 a represents the insulating body 2 with the attached contact carrier 3 and an example inserted female contact 5. Fig. 5b shows a corresponding magnification. At those slats 32, in which no socket contacts 5 are inserted for reasons of better illustration, the interaction of the wing-like projections 321 with the special recesses 25 is particularly well recognized. By pushing the contact carrier 3 into the insulating body 2, the illustrated part of the contact carrier 3 is attached to the illustrated part of the insulating body 2 and the fins 32 are by their wing-like projections 321 from the funnel-shaped portion 231 of the first through hole 23 and the special recesses 25 of the insulator 2 compressed and thereby fix the socket contacts 5 optionally located in their final position in the connector. 1

Thus, ultimately, only by a single movement, namely the pivoting of the shield device 4, an insertion of the contact carrier 3 in the insulating body 2, a final fixing of the contacts, in particular the socket contacts 5, in the connector 1, a latching of the shielding device 4 and holding the Contact carrier 3 reached in connector 1.

Zweites Ausführungsbeispiel:Second embodiment:

In Fig.6 ist ein weiterer Steckverbinder 1' dargestellt. In Figure 6 is another connector 1 'shown.

This connector 1 'comprises an insulating body 2', a contact carrier 3 ', a shielding device 4', a plurality of contacts, which are designed as pin contacts 5 ', and a shield cap 6', preferably made of sheet metal.

The shielding device 4 'is preferably manufactured in a zinc die-casting process. Alternatively, the shielding device 4 'could also consist of a plastic with a shielding coating or also of a plastic without a shielding coating. In the latter case, however, the shielding device 4 'would have no electrically shielding properties.

The screen device 4 'has at one end two curved hinge plates 43' and two guide slots 42 '. The contact carrier 3 'has two guide pins 31' and two locking pins 33 ', of which only one can be seen in the drawing, because the other is covered by the contact carrier 3'.

The insulating body 2 'has at one end two hinge windows 24' and on two opposite sides in each case a screen window 27 '. The shield cap 6 'has two contact springs 61' on each side. Furthermore, the shield cover 6 'has a plurality of latching windows 62'. The shield device 4 'has matching locking lugs 47'. As a result, the shielding hood 6 'is suitable for being pushed over the otherwise completely assembled connector 1' for better shielding and fixed there. By the contact springs 61 ', which engage in the assembled state through the screen window 27' of the insulating body 2 ', a mating connector, for example, the connector 1 described in the first embodiment, with its shielding device 4, are contacted in the inserted state, so as to make a ground contact between the two shield devices 4,4 'of the two connectors 1,1' produce.

Weiterhin besitzt die Schirmvorrichtung 4' dieses Steckverbinders 1' zwei Rückhaltenasen 45', 46'.Furthermore, the shield device 4 'of this connector 1' has two retention lugs 45 ', 46'.

In Fig. 7a this connector 1 'is largely composed but with not yet inserted into its final position contact carrier 3' and not yet in the contact carrier 3 'inserted pin contacts 5' shown. The shielding cap 6 'is not shown in this illustration and in the following for reasons of clarity.

The guide pin 31 'is located within the guide slot 42', at a first end of this guide slot 42 '.

It is readily apparent that by pivoting the shielding device 4 ', the contact carrier 3' is insertable into the insulating body 2 'by pivoting the shielding device 4, the guide pin 31' from the first end of the guide slot 42 'along the guide slot 42 to a second end the guide slot 42 is guided. After the pivoting operation, the first end of the guide slot 42 'on the locking pin 33' of the contact carrier 3 'engage and hold the contact carrier in the insulating body.

In Fig. 7b the same arrangement is shown in a sectional view. The hinge plates 43 'engage in the hinge windows 24', so that the screen device 4 'is pivotable about an axis passing through the hinge windows 24'. In this view, the first retaining lug 46 'and the second retaining lug 45' of the shielding device 4 'can be seen particularly well. The first retaining lug 46 'is intended to engage in a correspondingly shaped first pocket 26' of the insulating body 2 '. The second retaining lug 45 'is intended to engage through a corresponding retaining opening 28' of the insulating body 2 'in a second pocket 35' of the contact carrier 3 'after the contact carrier 3' in its final position in the insulating body 2 'is inserted. Furthermore, in this Representation of the shape of the first through holes 23 'recognizable, namely at a contact carrier 3' directed end a funnel-shaped portion 231 'have. From this representation, it can be seen that the lamellae 32 'are compressed by the funnel-shaped region 231' of the first through-bore 23 'by the insertion of the contact carrier 3' into the insulating body 2 '.

The Fig. 7c represents the same arrangement in section, but here the pin contacts 5 'are already inserted into the contact carrier 3'. The contact carrier 3 'is not inserted in this representation yet in its final position in the insulating body 2'. It can be seen, however, that in the final position the second pocket 35 'of the contact carrier 3' comes to lie over a retaining opening 28 'of the insulating body 2'. Furthermore, it will be seen that by compressing the slats 32 'when inserting the contact carrier 3' in the insulating body 2 ', the pin contacts 5' fixed in the case of the contact carrier 3 'and thus in its final position in the connector 1'.

The Fig. 7d Accordingly, the contact carrier 3 'inserted into its final position in the insulating body 2', the fins 32 'were thereby compressed by the funnel-shaped portion 231' and fix the Pin contacts 5 'in their final position in the connector 1'. The retaining lugs 46 'and 45' engage in the pockets 26 'and 35' of the insulating body 2 'and the contact carrier 3', wherein the second retaining lug 45 'engages through the retaining opening 28' of the insulating body 2 '.
