Abstract

The apparatus has a flange-plate (11) and a movable flange-plate (12) delineating a transverse space in which a roller is fitted on a pivot-pin (13) integral to the first flange-plate. An articulation unit allows a swiveling movement of the movable flange-plate between a closed position clamping the rope in the space, and an open position to fit the rope on the roller. A latch unit latches the movable flange-plate in the closed position. A mechanical indicator (27) collaborates both with the pivot-pin and with the latch unit to indicate that the apparatus is in a latched closed state.
