Definitions
- the present invention relates to a watch, in particular to a wristwatch, with a horological movement housed in a watch case.
- a watch case can in particular also include pocket watches, brooch watches or the like.
- a watch is a portable device which, among other things, serves to tell the time.
- a watch is made up of three essential parts, namely a watch movement which is the "technical" part, that is to say all the organs and mechanisms which are used to indicate the time, the watch case. watch which protects the movement and the indicator members (typically the dial and the hands).
- the watch case is made up of several elements, namely a caseband, a caseback (which generally closes the caseband on the movement bridges side) and a glass bezel.
- the watch movement is housed and fixed in the caseband.
- an additional fixing element is generally used, called an interlocking circle, which is inserted between the outer edge of the movement and the inner face of the caseband.
- this fixing element is normally targeted on the middle part and / or on the movement.
- a timepiece comprising a shell surrounding an inner case.
- Springs or other assembly members such as rods are mounted between the shell and the inner housing, which they hold.
- a result that the present invention aims to obtain is therefore to provide a timepiece which does not have the aforementioned drawbacks, and more particularly to provide a timepiece in which the timepiece can be housed in the watch case. shows in a way more flexible, while offering a damping of at least part of the shocks and a simpler centering of the movement.
- the present invention relates to a timepiece according to independent claim 1.
- Preferred embodiments are the subject of dependent claims.
- the advantage of this invention lies in particular in the fact that the tension elements which are provided to connect the watch movement to the watch case make it possible to obtain a flexible connection between these parts.
- the above-mentioned problems of traditional fastening systems can therefore be solved in a simple and efficient manner.
- this The invention enables an “automatic” movement to be centered, thanks to the tension elements which automatically guarantee an optimal location of the movement by the natural cancellation of the forces and constraints. Also, balancing of the movement in the watch case is also automatic and “perfect”, without the need for any particular adjustment.
- the present invention also facilitates the absorption of shocks undergone by the box before their negative impact on the movement.
- the attachment by means of the tension elements also solves the problems associated with complicated movements since it offers a much greater freedom in the use of the free space in the box.
- the tension element is a traction cable, in particular a metal traction cable and / or a strand, in particular a metal strand.
- a traction cable is a cable made up of a number of wires (usually steel or another similar material), connected together. When these threads are braided (for example with a helical shape, as shown in figure 3 ), we also speak of strands. Sometimes such a traction cable is not made up of "single" wires, but of a number of strands, braided together. Such a traction cable is therefore thicker and more robust. The typical number of these individual elements in a strand is 7, 19 or 37. Although the vast majority of known traction cables are round in shape, they can also be flat in shape. It is in particular possible to use tension elements (cables and / or strands) made of hardened steel and / or of another alloy comprising iron.
- tension elements for the suspension and the fixing of the watch movement in the case can be realized thanks to the objects, known per se, having the advantageous properties in the solution of the problems of the state of the art stated, but which have never been used in watchmaking applications.
- tension cables or strands have advantageous properties in terms of durability, flexibility, price, etc.
- Hardened steel also has the advantage furthermore, it has a favorable aesthetic appearance which lends itself to use in watchmaking.
- At least one tension member anchoring device is provided on the watch case.
- this anchoring device can in particular be fixed to the inner surface of the case by an appropriate fixing means (for example by welding or the like), but it is also conceivable to manufacture the watch case which directly comprises a such anchoring device.
- a tensioning device of this type can eg. ex. be a screw device (known per se) which can be used both to connect two opposite ends of the cable and to put this cable in tension. In this way, the tension of the tension elements can be adjusted directly.
- the watch movement is installed in a casing which includes at least one device for attaching the tension element.
- This embodiment of the present invention has the advantage, among other things, that a standard movement can be used within the scope of the present invention. An adaptation of the movement in itself is therefore not necessary, which increases the field of application of the present invention to existing movements.
- the watch case according to another embodiment of the present invention is adapted to include a crystal and / or a transparent back.
- additional elements such as one or more glasses.
- At least one shock absorbing device can also be provided on the watch case and / or on the casing of the watch movement in another embodiment of the present invention.
- a shock-absorbing device it is possible to protect the watch movement further from the shocks which could be transmitted to the movement despite the damping effect obtained by using the aforementioned tension elements.
- this timepiece 10 comprises a watch case 12 which consists essentially of a middle part. Box 12 at the figure 1 has been shown in a "barrel" shape, with the side walls 13 slightly curved and the top and bottom walls 14 straight, but anyone skilled in the art can readily understand that the present invention is not limited to such a form of watch case 12.
- the watch movement 20 of the timepiece 10 shown in figure 1 is not connected to the watch case 12 by an interlocking circle or other additional fastener, but is simply suspended in the space left empty inside the this box 12 by means of tension elements 30.
- tension elements 30 At the figure 1 two unrelated tension elements 30 are shown, but it will be obvious to one skilled in the art that only one tension element 30 or more than two tension elements 30 may also be used.
- the anchoring devices 17 for the tension elements 30 are provided on the inner surface 16 of the side walls 13 of the watch case 12.
- the anchoring devices 17 to the figure 1 are rollers (or pulleys) which guide the tension elements 30. To this end, these rollers are fixed in their corresponding sockets by the screws 18. These screws 18 can for example be used to adjust the rotation of the rollers under the influence of the tension element 30, but the adjustment - if necessary - can also be carried out in another suitable way.
- other anchoring devices can be used instead of the devices 17 illustrated on figure 1 .
- the clockwork movement 20 it is housed in a casing 21 which, similarly to the watch case 12, has several attachment devices 23 for the tension element 30.
- the fastening devices 23 are simple projections with a stationary cross member 24 on which the tension element 30 can rest.
- another mechanism for attaching the tension elements 30 can also be provided, eg a mechanism similar to the anchoring elements 17 shown on the watch case 12.
- the clockwork movement 20 and / or the casing 21 can carry a dial with the hands (or another indication member), but it is also possible to provide a separate dial, housed in the box 12 independently, and connected to the movement 20 by appropriate means.
- the two tension elements 30 at the figure 1 are provided with a corresponding tensioning device 31.
- the two tensioning devices 31 are screw anchors consisting essentially of two elements each connected to one of the two ends of the tension element 30 which, by the rotation of one of the two anchoring elements relative to the other, allow to decrease (or increase) the distance between the ends of the tension element and thus to apply a more or less important force leading to a desired tensioning of the element of tension 30.
- the principle used is well known in the field.
- the watch movement 20 can easily be installed in the watch case 12. After all the elements have been assembled, it is only necessary to tension the elements 30 so that the movement is perfectly centered, fixed and balanced.
- the elastic properties of the tension elements 30 ensure automatic damping of at least a part of the shocks undergone by the case 12 during the use of the timepiece 10.
- the shape of the movement 20 shown in figure 1 is very simple and regular, the present invention in particular also allows very simple assembly of complicated watch movements, sometimes having irregular shapes.
- the present invention also makes it possible to assemble (without any difficulty) parts which are not perfectly well machined, that is to say which potentially do not correspond perfectly to the necessary tolerances.
- figure 2 corresponds to another view of the timepiece 10 according to the figure 1 .
- the components of timepiece 10 shown on figure 2 are without other identical to those already represented in the figure 1 , we will not repeat their corresponding description.
- FIG. 3 A particularly advantageous example for the tension element 30 is shown in figure 3 .
- This is a traction cable and / or a strand, in this case composed of forty-three individual braided metal wires 40, 41, 42, 43.
- the wires 40, 41, 42, 43 can for example be made of hardened steel, but other materials are of course also possible.
- the traction cable 30 is firstly composed of a central wire 40 which is surrounded by six strands 41, helically braided around this central wire 40.
- a strand 41 is for its part also composed of a central wire 42. and six other wires 43, braided around this central wire 42.
- This composition of the cable 30 is obviously just one of the various existing possibilities.

Description
figure 3 ), on parle aussi de torons.
figure 3 .
