Claims (8)

  1. Locking device (10) for doors, windows or the like comprising a bolt (12) and a bolt drive (25) with which the bolt (12) can be moved between a release position and a locked position, wherein the bolt drive (25) can be actuated manually and/or by motor, and between the bolt drive (25) and the bolt (12) a transmission gearing (32) is provided, which ensures that the bolt (12) travels a greater distance than without transmission gearing (32), characterized in that the bolt drive (25) is designed as a shoot bolt rod (26), whose end (30) is slotted or C-shaped and encompasses a lever (34) that acts as a transmission gearing (32) and that with its one end is mounted pivotally in a swivel bearing (36) on the housing (14) and the other end acts in a swivel bearing (38) and an elongated hole on the bolt (12).
  2. Locking device according to claim 1, characterized in that the bolt (12) is designed as a snap latch.
  3. Locking device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the bolt (12) is pushed in the direction of the locked position by a release spring (20).
  4. Locking device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the bolt (12) in the direction of the release position comprises a free wheel.
  5. Locking device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the lever (34) is mounted pivotally at one end in the housing (14) of the locking device (10) and that the bolt drive (25) acts between the swivel bearing (36) and the bolt (12) on the lever (34).
  6. Locking device according to claim 5, characterized in that the point of action of the bolt drive (25) on the lever (34), the point of action of the lever (34) on the bolt (12) or the position of the swivel bearing (36) in the housing (14) are variably adjustable.
  7. Locking device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the shoot bolt rod (26) and the bolt (12) are displaced in the same directions.
  8. Door, window or the like with a locking device (10) according to one of the preceding claims.
