In Figur 2 bezeichnet Bezugszeichen S1 den Schritt Auslesen von Fehlerstatus-Informationen aus einem Speicher 3 eines Kraftfahrzeuges 4, Bezugszeichen S2 den Schritt Verarbeiten der ausgelesenen Fehlerstatus-Informationen, Bezugszeichen S3 den Schritt Anzeigen S3 der verarbeiteten Fehlerstatus-Informationen für einen Benutzer B, Bezugszeichen S4 den Schritt Empfangen und/oder Bezugszeichen S5 den Schritt Senden S5 von Community-Content-Informationen insbesondere aus und/oder über das Internet I, Bezugszeichen S6 den Schritt Verarbeiten S6 der gesendeten und/oder empfangenen Community-Content-Informationen und Bezugszeichen S7 den Schritt Anzeigen S7 der verarbeiteten Community-Content-Informationen.

Claims (11)

  1. Diagnostic device (1) for motor vehicles, comprising at least one first interface (2a) for reading fault status information from a memory (3) of a motor vehicle (4), at least one second interface (2b) for receiving and transmitting community content information, an operating device (5) for operating the diagnostic device (1) by means of a user (B), a display device (6) for displaying the information, and a processing device (7) for processing the information, wherein the processing device (7) is connected to the first and second interfaces (2a, 2b), characterized in that the processing device (7) is designed to preprocess the fault status information received by the first interface (2a) and to transmit said information as community content information by means of the second interface (2b) and to preprocess the community content information received by the second interface (2b) and to display said information by means of the display device (6), in that the diagnostic device (1) transmits vehicle identification features for uniquely determining the motor vehicle (4) and identification information relating to the user (B) as well as the corresponding fault status information which has been read from the memory (3) of the motor vehicle (4), after it has been preprocessed by the processing device (7) as community content information, to a web server (20) by means of the second interface (2b), wherein the diagnostic device (1) is designed to create, for the user (B) logged onto a forum of the web server (20) on the basis of the identification information, a corresponding entry in the forum of the web server (20) for the corresponding type of motor vehicle (4) or the corresponding fault, and wherein the diagnostic device (1) is designed to check whether there are contributions for the entry in the forum of the web server (20) and to download such contributions from the web server (20) in the form of community content information, wherein the processing device (7) is designed to identify predefinable motor-vehicle-specific information relating to the corresponding motor vehicle or to the corresponding fault from the downloaded community content information if at least one feature of the vehicle identification features and/or a corresponding symptom of the fault is/are present.
  2. Diagnostic device according to Claim 1, wherein an identification device (8) is arranged for the user (B), and wherein the processing device (7) is designed to preprocess identification information to form community content information and to transmit said information to the web server (20) in an external network (EN) using the second interface (2b) by means of the Internet (I).
  3. Diagnostic device according to at least one of Claims 1-2, wherein the operating device (5) and/or the processing device (7) is/are designed to provide status information relating to the user (B), and the processing device (7) is designed to preprocess the status information as community content information and to transmit said information to the web server (20) in an external network (EN) using the second interface (2b) by means of the Internet (I).
  4. Diagnostic device according to at least one of Claims 1-3, wherein the processing device (7) is designed to identify predefinable information, in particular motor-vehicle-specific information, from the received community content information and to preprocess it, and wherein the display device (6) is designed to display the preprocessed information to the user (B).
  5. Diagnostic device according to at least one of Claims 1-4, wherein the processing device (7) and/or the display device (6) is/are designed to adapt and/or present the fault status information and/or the community content information on the basis of a predefinable parameter.
  6. Diagnostic system comprising a motor vehicle and a diagnostic device according to at least one of Claims 1-5.
  7. Diagnostic method for motor vehicles (4), comprising the steps of reading (S1) fault status information from a memory (3) of a motor vehicle (4), processing (S2) the fault status information which has been read and preprocessing it as community content information, displaying (S3) the processed fault status information for a user (B), transmitting (S5) vehicle identification features for uniquely determining the motor vehicle (4) and identification information relating to the user (B) as well as the corresponding fault status information which has been read from the memory (3) of the motor vehicle (4), after it has been preprocessed as community content information, to a web server (20), logging the user (B) onto a forum of the web server (20) on the basis of the identification information, creating a corresponding entry for the logged-on user in the forum of the web server (20) for the corresponding type of motor vehicle (4) or the corresponding fault, checking whether there are contributions for the entry in the forum of the web server (20), downloading and receiving (S4) such contributions from the web server (20) in the form of community content information, identifying (S6) predefinable motor-vehicle-specific information relating to the corresponding motor vehicle or to the corresponding fault from the downloaded community content information if at least one feature of the vehicle identification features and/or a corresponding symptom of the fault is/are present, displaying (S7) the processed community content information.
  8. Diagnostic method according to Claim 7, wherein an item of identification information relating to the user (B) is preprocessed as community content information and is transmitted to the web server (20) of an external network (EN) by means of the Internet (I).
  9. Diagnostic method according to Claim 7 or 8, wherein the transmitted and/or received information is preprocessed on the basis of a predefinable parameter.
  10. Diagnostic method according to at least one of Claims 7-9, wherein predefinable information, in particular motor-vehicle-specific information, is identified from the received community content information, is preprocessed and is displayed.
  11. Use of a diagnostic device (1) according to at least one of Claims 1-5 to diagnose defects of motor vehicles (4).
