Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a power tool.
  • Japanese Laid-Open Patent Publication No. 2012-30347 describes an example of a power tool including a power transmission unit and a control unit.
  • the power transmission unit reduces the rotation speed related to the rotational power produced by a motor.
  • the control unit controls the power transmission unit to automatically shift the speed reduction ratio of the power transmission unit.
  • the power tool includes an output shaft and a tip tool (bit), which is coupled to the output shaft.
  • the power tool detects the load torque applied to the output shaft and provides a gear shift actuator with a control signal for shifting the speed reduction ratio of the power transmission unit based on the detected load torque.
