Shipping container 900 may also include a space 906 to hold a cold material, such as dry ice or cryogenic liquid, to maintain the frozen product at an appropriate cold temperature during shipment.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé de congélation en vrac. Dans un mode de réalisation, ledit système et ledit procédé de congélation en vrac prévoient un récipient de congélation en vrac conçu pour contenir au moins un sac, et de préférence une pluralité de sacs, comportant un liquide biopharmaceutique. Ledit récipient de congélation en vrac comprend au moins une première et une seconde étagère présentant des cannelures, ladite seconde étagère étant disposée verticalement au-dessus de la première étagère et les sacs étant placés entre les étagères. Les sacs et les cannelures des première et seconde étagères définissent une pluralité de canaux d'écoulement sensiblement parallèles, à travers lesquels passe un fluide froid cryogénique ou un fluide chauffant pour congeler et/ou décongeler le fluide biopharmaceutique. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, le système et le procédé de congélation en vrac comprennent un récipient de congélation en vrac pourvu d'une pluralité de chambres allongées adjacentes conçues pour contenir le fluide biopharmaceutique. Lesdites chambres allongées adjacentes possèdent des parois latérales qui définissent une pluralité de canaux d'écoulement sensiblement parallèles, entre la pluralité de chambres allongées adjacentes à travers lesquelles passe un agent caloporteur, pour permettre un échange thermique à travers les parois latérales des chambres allongées jusqu'au fluide situé dans les chambres allongées.
