Abstract
Description
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von holzgefassten Stiften, bei dem auf die Stirnfläche des hinteren Stiftendes wenigstens zwei eine Endkappe bildende Beschichtungen aufgebracht werden. Bisher wird dazu ein Tauchverfahren verwendet. Bei einem solchen Verfahren wird eine Anzahl von Stiften auf einem Träger so fixiert, dass ihre Stiftlängsrichtungen parallel zueinander verlaufen und ihre Stirnseiten auf dem gleichen Höhenniveau angeordnet sind. Der mit Stiften bestückte Träger wird auf ein Bad mit flüssigem Beschichtungsmittel soweit abgesenkt, dass die Stirnseiten mit dem Beschichtungsmittel in Kontakt kommen. Diese Aufgabe wird bei einem Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 dadurch gelöst, dass auf die Stirnseite eine Grundierschicht aus einem UV-Lack aufgebracht, die Grundierschicht mit UV-Licht ausgehärtet und anschließend auf die Grundierschicht ein Farbüberzug mit Hilfe eines Druckverfahrens aufgebracht wird. Dabei ergibt sich zunächst der Vorteil, dass für die Grundierung keine zeitaufwändige Trocknung erforderlich ist. Nach dem Herausnehmen der Stifte aus dem Grundierungsbad kann sofort eine UV-Härtung erfolgen, die nur Millisekunden bis Sekunden in Anspruch nimmt. Da sich ein UV-Lack nicht durch Trocknung, also Verdunstung eines Lösemittels, sondern durch eine strahlungsinduzierte Vernetzung verfestigt, kann die auf die Stirnseite aufgebrachte Schicht vergleichsweise dünn sein, was die Verfahrensführung erleichtert. Beispielsweise besteht die Gefahr, dass eine solche Schicht verläuft oder Tropfen bildet, was das spätere Erscheinungsbild der Endkappe beeinträchtigen würde.This object is achieved in a method according to

Zur Fixierung des Stifts 1 sind im Träger Fixieröffnungen 13 vorhanden, in welche die Stifte 1 mit ihrem vorderen Ende (14) eingesteckt sind. Der Träger 8, der z.B. an einer Schiene 11 verfahrbar gehalten ist, wird so positioniert, dass die Stirnflächen 4 nach unten weisen. Zur Herstellung der Grundierschicht 6 wird ein Behälter 15 bereitgestellt, in dem sich ein UV-Lack 16 in flüssiger Form befindet. Der Träger 8 und der Behälter 15 werden relativ zueinander so bewegt, dass die Stirnflächen 4 die Oberfläche des flüssigen UV-Lacks 16 berühren, wobei an den Stirnflächen 14 eine Schicht bzw. ein Film des UV-Lacks haften bleibt. Im Anschluss daran wird der Träger 8 an eine UV-Bestrahlungsstation (nicht gezeigt) übergeben. Nach kurzer UV-Bestrahlung ist der UV-Lack ausgehärtet. Als UV-Lack kann beispielsweise eine Zubereitung mit folgender Zusammensetzung verwendet werden:
Nach UV-Bestrahlung von einigen Sekunden ist die Grundierschicht 6 ausgehärtet und kann nun mit Hilfe eines Druckverfahrens, mit dem dünne Farbschichten erzeugt werden können, bedruckt werden. Bei der bevorzugten Druckmetode, einem Tampon-Druckverfahren wird ein plattenförmiger Druckstempel 17 mit einer Flachseite eingesetzt, auf der wenigstens ein Tamponelement 18 vorhanden ist. Im Falle eines einzigen Tamponelements 18 ist dieses in Breiten- und Längsrichtung so bemessen, dass die Gesamtzahl der von dem Träger 8 getragenen Stifte 8 kontaktiert und eine an dem Tamponelement 18 vorhandene Farbzubereitung auf die Stirnflächen 4 der Stifte 1 übertragen werden kann.
