Description
The invention relates to a sieving with elastically yielding fingers and at least one scraper of a substantially non-elastic or rigid material, d. H. made of a material that has a higher rigidity than the base material of the sieve star.
Finished sieve stars are used in so-called star screens. Star screens are used, among other things, for the presorting of bulk goods, such as compost, bark mulch, peat and the like. But they are also used for the recycling of building rubble or for the screening of gravel and stones, possibly also in connection with cohesive soil.
Star screens are screen elements arranged on shafts and intermeshing screen stars, which are usually made of rubber or other elastically yielding material. On the circumference, the screen stars crescent-shaped curved fingers whose finger ends are offset from the radial direction of rotation by a certain angle.
During operation, the screen stars and spaces between the fingers pollute and the spaces between axially adjacent screen stars can become clogged. As a result, the operation of the star screen can be significantly affected. Therefore, the gaps must be kept free continuously.
