Claims (9)

  1. A transport unit (1) for transporting material comprising a frame (2) and a tipper box (3), held by the frame (2), for receiving the material, wherein a respective standard container corner casting (4), in particular an ISO standard container corner casting (4), and a movable frame (15) on which the tipper box (3) is seated are provided at four lower corners of the frame (2),
    characterized in that
    the transport unit (1) has a maximum height of no more than a third of the height of a standard container (10), in particular of an ISO standard container (10);
    in that the movable frame (15) is configured such that it pushes the tipper box (3) laterally out of the frame (2) in a non-tipped position; in that a respective standard container corner casting (5), in particular an ISO standard container corner casting (5), is provided at four upper corners of the frame (2); and
    in that the frame (2) has a base surface which at most has the width and the length, which is divided by a whole-number divisor, of a standard container (10), in particular of an ISO standard container (10).
  2. A transport unit (1) in accordance with claim 1,
    characterized in that
    the tipper box (3) is rotated about an axis arranged in the vicinity of a lateral boundary of the frame (2) during tipping; or
    in that the tipper box (3) is rotated about an axis disposed outside the frame (2) during tipping.
  3. A rail car (7) comprising a frame (2) and a tipper box (3) held by the frame (2), wherein a respective standard container corner casting (4), in particular an ISO standard container corner casting (4), is provided at four lower corners of the frame (2), and wherein the frame (2) is arranged on a load surface (8) of the rail car (7) and a movable frame (15) on which the tipper box (3) is seated is provided,
    characterized in that
    fastening elements (9) attached to the load surface (8) engage into the standard container corner castings (4);
    in that the frame (2) has a maximum height of no more than a third of the height of a standard container (10), in particular of an ISO standard container (10);
    in that the movable frame (15) is configured such that it pushes the tipper box (3) laterally out of the frame (2) in the non-tipped position;
    in that the frame (2) has a base surface which at most has the width and the length, which is divided by a whole-number divisor, of a standard container (10), in particular of an ISO standard container (10); and
    in that a respective standard container corner casting (5), in particular an ISO standard container corner casting (5), is provided at four upper corners of the frame (2).
  4. A rail car (7) in accordance with claim 3,
    characterized in that
    at least one further frame (2) which holds a further tipper box (3) is arranged at the frame (2), with a respective standard container corner casting (4), in particular an ISO standard container corner casting (4), being provided at four lower corners of the at least one further frame (2) and the at least one further frame (2) being latched to the lower frame (2) via latching elements which engage into the standard container corner castings (4, 5) of the frames (2).
  5. A rail car in accordance with claim 3 or claim 4,
    characterized in that
    the rail car (7) is loaded with a total of at least nine frames (2) which each hold a tipper box (3), with three of the frames (2) being arranged on the load surface (8) and at least two layers having a respective three of the frames (2) being stacked thereabove.
  6. A method of supplying railroad construction sites with material, in particular with bulk material, in which the material is transported and unloaded by means of tipper box cars,
    characterized by
    the use of transport units (1) in accordance with one of the claims 1 or 2 in conjunction with rail cars (7) comprising standard container receivers, in particular ISO standard container receivers.
  7. A method in accordance with claim 6,
    characterized in that
    a plurality of the transport units (1) are transported to the construction site and at least some of the transport units (1) are loaded onto a rail car (7) there which is then used as a tipper box car, with, preferably, the transport units (1) being transported to the construction site by means of rail cars (7) and/or trucks and/or other transport means.
  8. A method in accordance with claim 6 or claim 7,
    characterized in that
    the transport units (1) are loaded at the construction site onto a plurality of rail cars (7) which are electrically and hydraulically coupled to one another and which are supplied via a common supply unit (10).
  9. A method in accordance with any one of the claims 6 to 8,
    characterized in that
    one of the tipper boxes (3) is laterally pushed out of the frame (2) in one direction and subsequently tipped for the at least partial emptying and at least one other tipper box (3) is pushed out of the frame (2) in the opposite direction before the tipping of the one tipper box (3).
