Die AbStützung der Druckfeder erfolgt durch ein Stützelement ebenfalls in Form einer Stahlbuchse, die - abgesehen von einer bodenseitigen Öffnung - mit dem Kolben identisch ist. Diese Abstütz-Stahlbuchse wird mittels eines Runddrahtringes, der sich an der Bohrung abstützt, gehalten.
Durch die Ausgestaltung und Länge der Stahlbuchse als Abstützung ergibt sich ein hoher Material- und Umformaufwand. Da die Stahlbuchse als Kolben und die Stahlbuchse als Stützelement sich nur durch die Öffnung unterscheiden, muss mit weiterem Aufwand sichergestellt werden, dass die beiden Teile nicht verwechselt montiert werden, was zu einer Fehlfunktion des Druckspeichers führen würde. Das Federabstützblech weist im Wesentlichen eine konstante Wandstärke auf, mit einem ebenen Boden, einem als Kugelmantel ausgebildeten Übergangsbereich und einem zylindrischen Ring, wobei der Außenmantel des Rings die Führung in der Bohrung übernimmt. Dabei kann zusätzlich oder gleichzeitig mit dem Tiefziehen die Öffnung im Boden des Federabstützbleches mit ausgestanzt werden.
