Description

The present invention relates to a luminaire according to the preamble of claim 1, which has an elongated housing which has two side walls and an elongated light exit opening. In particular, the invention relates to a luminaire, in which LEDs are used as light sources within the housing, to which an optic is assigned, via which a symmetrical light emission is achieved.

Luminaires of the generic type are particularly suitable for use in what are known as strip lighting systems. Such systems consist of an elongate support element, usually an approximately U-shaped mounting rail, run on or in the lines for power supply and / or for the transmission of signals for controlling the lights. In this longitudinal direction one behind the other lamp modules can be arranged on this support element, which are in this case on the one hand mechanically connected to the support rail and on the other hand are adapted to contact the corresponding lines. A light band system marketed by the applicant under the name TECTON opens up the possibility here of arranging corresponding lighting modules at almost any arbitrary position along the light band system. In other lighting systems, however, are given only at certain positions of the support rail corresponding Kontaktierungsmöglichkeiten to which the lights can be connected.

While in the past, in such so-called beam lights, which are of elongated design, usually fluorescent lamps or generally gas discharge lamps were used as light sources, LEDs, ie more point-like light sources, are now increasingly being used. The further development of LEDs in recent years has led to such light sources being able to replace conventional light sources in almost every field of illumination technology, since they now produce a sufficient amount of light. Furthermore, LEDs have advantages over conventional fluorescent lamps in terms of their lifetime and the possibilities of controlling their brightness.

Thus, if LEDs are used in such luminaires, as they were described at the outset, then a plurality of LEDs are usually arranged one behind the other in the luminaire housing in the longitudinal direction. Because a LED light in a very broad angle range radiates, it is usually immediately associated with a corresponding optics in the form of a lens or the like. The light emitted by the LED light is in this case coupled into the lens and emitted via this in a corresponding manner. In general, in this case the lens structures are designed such that the light is emitted symmetrically. A preferred light output is carried out, for example, according to a so-called Batwing distribution, in which the light distribution curve has two relative to the vertical or longitudinal center plane of the lamp inclined wings over which primarily the light is emitted. Such a light emission characteristic is, for example, very good for illuminating elongated rows of shelves or the like located on both sides of the luminaire. Accordingly, luminaires of this type are often used in shops or comparable areas.

Deviating from the symmetrical light emission described above, however, it is sometimes also desirable to selectively radiate the light only to one side. This may, for example, be the case if shelves are located only on one longitudinal side of the luminaire or if the luminaire is arranged in the lateral area of a room and it is desired that a wall situated next to the luminaire be selectively brightened. In such cases, then no more light emission according to the above-described Batwing distribution should be done on both sides, but the light must be instead influenced accordingly before its emission from the lamp in another way. However, since the creation of a lens structure suitable for this purpose is very complicated and involves high costs, the object of the present invention is to specify a simpler and cheaper possibility of achieving a corresponding asymmetrical light output.

This object is achieved by a luminaire, which has the features of claim 1, and by an attachment for a luminaire according to claim 11. Advantageous developments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.

The solution according to the invention is based on the idea of leaving the primary optics associated with the light sources unchanged and instead of using an additional attachment element which can be fastened to the luminaire optionally on one of the two longitudinal sides of the luminaire housing. In this case, with the help of this add-on element in the region of the light exit opening of the lamp housing, a preferably over the entire length of the housing extending reflection surface formed, by which the initially symmetrical light output is converted into an asymmetric light output.

According to the invention, therefore, a luminaire with an elongate housing is proposed, which has two side walls and an elongate light exit opening, the luminaire furthermore having an attachment element which can be fastened to one of the two longitudinal sides of the luminaire housing and in the region of the light exit opening of the luminaire housing preferably via the forms the entire length of the housing extending reflection surface.

The laterally arranged and formed by the attachment additional reflection surface so now causes a significant change in the Lichtabstrahlcharakteristik the light. In particular, with the aid of this additional reflection surface, the light emitted by the symmetrically designed primary optics towards one of the two sides can be almost completely blocked or correspondingly reflected or mirrored, so that the desired, asymmetrical light emission characteristic is achieved. The features mentioned in the dependent claims relate to measures which on the one hand facilitate the placement of the add-on element according to the invention on the luminaire housing and on the other hand optimize the influence of the light output.

Preferably, the add-on element is formed by a profile body, which can be placed on the side wall of the lamp housing and locked or snapped with this. The attachment of the attachment element can in this case be carried out in particular without tools, whereby the assembly is very simplified. In this case, the profile body may preferably have a receiving area for interacting with a lower edge of the side wall of the luminaire housing and a clamping area overlapping the upper edge of the corresponding side wall in the assembled state. Within the receiving area then several, preferably two spring elements for clamping the lower edge of the side wall are arranged with the profile body. These spring elements ensure on the one hand for a secure mounting of the attachment to the lamp housing, on the other hand they also allow a manual release of the latch, which allows the above-mentioned preferred tool-less assembly and disassembly of the attachment.

The profile body may have in its upper region recesses for reaching through actuators of the lamp. As already mentioned, the luminaire according to the invention can be provided in particular for arrangement on a lighting strip system, the fastening and contacting of the luminaire on a mounting rail then usually done with the help of a so-called Drehabgriffs, ie an element which is rotated after attachment of the lamp to the mounting rail to provide on the one hand for a mechanical locking with the mounting rail and on the other hand, a contacting of the lines within the mounting rail are going to cause. In lights with LEDs as light sources while the actuating element for rotating the Drehabgriffs is preferably formed by a lateral lever which protrudes slightly in the upper region of the lamp housing. With the aid of corresponding recesses in the profile body it is ensured that the attachment element can actually be optionally arranged on one of the two sides of the lamp housing without colliding with the lever.

The add-on element is furthermore preferably configured such that two elongate reflection regions are formed-one after the other in succession or two superimposed in the emission direction. These can differ on the one hand by their reflective properties and on the other hand by their orientation with respect to a Lichtabstrahlrichtung the lamp. In particular, it is provided for this purpose that a first, closer to the light sources reflection region is formed highly reflective or mirrored and is aligned substantially parallel to the light emission or perpendicular to the light exit opening of the lamp housing. By contrast, a second reflection region, which preferably adjoins directly to the first reflection region, may be designed to be diffusely reflecting and is preferably arranged slightly inclined with respect to the first reflection region. The highly reflective or mirror-formed first reflection region can be formed in particular by a separate reflector element, which is placed on the profile body of the add-on element. With the help of this first reflection area, the majority of the light is mirrored to achieve the asymmetric light output. The second reflection area, on the other hand, likewise reflects the light impinging on it, but rather diffusely, so that this light is emitted less towards the bottom but into an area laterally of the luminaire. This makes it possible to lightly lighten a wall area or the like located in the vicinity of the luminaire, which improves the overall appearance.

With the help of the add-on element according to the invention, therefore, the light output of the lamp can be easily and quickly adapted to specific needs, especially if an asymmetric light output is desired.

In Fig. 1 Initially, an elongate luminaire 50 is generally shown in which the add-on element according to the invention is to be used. It is a so-called beam lamp, which is provided for attachment to an elongated, U-shaped support member, in particular on a support rail of a lighting system. The housing of the lamp 50 is formed by an elongate profile body 51, which is also approximately U-shaped or H-shaped. In this case, two side walls 52 and 53 enclose an elongated receiving space in which on the one hand light sources and on the other hand means for operating the light sources are arranged. The two side walls 52 and 53 define with their underside an elongate light exit opening 54, via which the light emitted by the light sources is given.

As light sources 50 LEDs 60 are used in the present lamp, which in the longitudinal direction of the lamp 50 in a row on one or more boards 61st are arranged. In the light emission direction in front of the LEDs 60, a primary optics 62 in the form of a lens arrangement consisting of a transparent material is arranged, via which the light emitted by the LEDs 60 is focused and ultimately emitted via the light exit opening 54.

Above the area in which the LEDs 60 are arranged, on the one hand find the already mentioned and in Fig. 1 Not shown operating equipment for operating the LEDs 60, on the other hand means are also provided in this area, via which an attachment of the lamp 50 takes place on the support rail and also in the support rail running lines for power and / or data transmission are contacted.

In the illustrated embodiment, these fastening / contacting means is a so-called pivot grip 65, which in Fig. 1 partially shown. This is attached to the housing 51 and rotatably supported, wherein it has lateral mechanical locking elements 66 and not shown contacting elements. After insertion into the receiving space of a mounting rail of the rotary handle 65 is rotated by means of a side of the housing 51 protruding lever 67, for example, by about 45 °. Here, the locking elements 66 swing out and engage behind corresponding projections on the mounting rail, whereby the lamp 50 is mechanically fixed to the mounting rail. Furthermore, the corresponding contacting elements come into abutment against the running in the rail lines, whereby the electrical contact is made. In this respect, a corresponding assembly of such lights on a lighting system already known from the prior art.

As already mentioned, the light emitted by the LEDs 60 is influenced by the lens arrangement 62 forming a primary optic. A recessed area of the lens arrangement 62 facing the LEDs 60 serves as a light entry surface, the frustoconical or pyramidal outer surface and the bottom surface of the lens arrangement 62 serve Reflection and a corresponding refraction of the respective light beams to influence the LED light. An example of a light distribution curve I achievable with such a lens arrangement is shown in FIG Fig. 2 shown. Accordingly, the light consists of a light bundle concentrated primarily toward the underside, which light beam is emitted essentially within an angular range of approximately 55 ° with respect to the vertical. In such a light distribution curve glare is avoided by oblique angles looking at the lamp persons.

As an alternative to the illustrated light distribution curve I could also be a light output according to the curve II, in which case the light is emitted symmetrically to both sides, but less strongly towards the bottom. Such a so-called Batwing distribution is particularly suitable if higher objects are arranged on both longitudinal sides of the luminaire, which are to be selectively illuminated. For example, this is the case when the lamp is between high rows of shelves or the like. In both cases, however, the primary optics basically cause a symmetrical light output.

In contrast, it would be desirable to achieve in some cases, an asymmetric light output. This is, for example, the case when objects are arranged only on one longitudinal side of the luminaire, which are to be illuminated. Also, an asymmetrical, so only to one side directed light output may be desirable if a wall located next to the light should be selectively brightened. The luminaire should then serve as a so-called wallwasher.

Of course, it would be conceivable to modify the lens arrangement associated with the LEDs in a corresponding manner in order to achieve the desired asymmetrical light output. The associated effort, however, is very large, since it is the optics usually made by injection molding plastic elements, which are relatively expensive to produce. The solution according to the invention described below makes it possible to maintain the primary optics developed for a symmetrical light output and to achieve an asymmetrical light output in a simple and effective manner in spite of everything.

As mentioned above, the solution according to the invention is based on the idea of arranging an additional attachment element on the luminaire housing which influences the light output in the desired manner. In particular, a reflective surface is created by the attachment, over which the primary optics actually symmetrically emitted light is partially reflected or reflected, so that ultimately results in an asymmetric light output.

A preferred embodiment of a corresponding attachment element 10 is in the 3 and 4 shown. The attachment element 10, which preferably has the same length as the luminaire 50, is designed in such a way that it can be optionally arranged on one of the two side walls 52 or 53 of the luminaire housing 51. It consists of an elongated profile body 11, which is preferably formed of aluminum and has an upper attachment region 12. At the bottom of this attachment region 12, a further profile region 13 is formed, in particular has an inner, inclined side surface 14. This inclined side surface 14 represents a part of the optical means by means of which the desired asymmetrical light output is achieved, as will be explained in more detail later.

The upper mounting portion 12 of the add-on element 10 has in its lower region an elongated, approximately U-shaped and upwardly open guide or receiving area 15 in which an additional web 16 extends in the longitudinal direction. The upper end of the attachment portion 12 is formed bent so that, seen in cross-section results in a hook-shaped structure which is provided for spreading over the upper edge of the side wall of the lamp housing 51. A fastening of the add-on element 10 to the lamp housing 51 thus takes place in that it is attached to the lamp housing 51, that the housing or the corresponding side wall engages with its lower edge on the one hand in the lower receiving area 15 and on the other hand, the hook-shaped end portion 17 of the add-on element 10 Upper edge of the housing side wall overlaps.

In order to ensure a reliable mounting of the add-on element 10 to the lamp 50 in this state, an additional measure is provided by which the latching or jamming between the add-on element 10 and the lamp 50 is improved. This measure consists in that in the lower receiving area 15, two spring elements 25 are arranged, the configuration of the FIGS. 5 and 6 can be removed. These are spring elements which, in turn, are U-shaped in cross-section. A first side wall 26 is executed bent or angled on its underside and thereby forms a bearing surface 27 for the side wall bottom edge of the lamp housing 51. The opposite side wall 28, however, has a straight bottom edge, however, is at its two end sides by curved areas or tabs 29th extended, which in particular have inwardly projecting, sharp-edged claw regions 30.

Verklemmen vollkommen ausreichend. This thus designed spring 25 is then inserted into the receiving area 15 of the attachment element 10 such that the in Fig. 7a shown arrangement results. It is essential here that the claw regions 30 come into abutment against a side surface of the web 16 and easily eat into them, whereby the spring 25 is easily fixed, in particular in the longitudinal direction of the attachment element 10. Since no further forces acting on the spring 25 in the longitudinal direction, a slight such locking or jamming is completely sufficient.

The fitted with a plurality, preferably with two such spring elements 25 add-on element 10 is then attached from the bottom to the side wall of the lamp housing 51, in which case then the in FIG. 7b shown arrangement results. It can be seen that the lower edge of the side wall 53 presses against the bent support portion 27 of the spring 25, which is accordingly bent slightly. In this configuration, the spring 25 exerts a force on the housing side wall from the underside.

The attachment of the add-on element 10 to the lamp housing 51 is initially slightly oblique, wherein the lower edge of the housing is inserted into the receiving area 15. Subsequently, the attachment element 10 is tilted, so that finally the upper end region 17 of the attachment element 10 engages over the upper edge of the housing wall 53. Due to the force exerted by the two springs 25 force thereby snapping or jamming is achieved and the attachment member 10 is fixed to the lamp housing 51. Ultimately, this results in a configuration, as in the FIGS. 8 and 9 is shown. In particular, the sectional view of FIG. 9 can be found here, in which way the interaction of the various elements of the add-on element 10 takes place with the lamp housing 51.

It should be noted that optionally the attachment element 10 could also be fastened to the opposite side wall of the luminaire housing 50. Since here - as shown - but the actuating lever 66 for the Drehabgriff 65 protrudes outward, 10 corresponding recesses 18 (see Fig. 8 ) are provided, which are designed in terms of their dimension and their position such that they allow despite the protruding lever 66, a placement of the attachment member 10 on the side wall of the lamp housing 51. Thus, the add-on element 10 can actually be arranged selectively on one of the two sides of the lamp housing 51, without this affecting an actuation of the lever 66 for attaching the lamp to a mounting rail 100.

Reflecting surfaces, which are arranged laterally below the primary optics of the luminaire 50, are now created by the attachment element 10 located on the luminaire 50. Strictly speaking, there are two reflection surfaces A and B arranged one behind the other in the light emission direction one after the other or with a horizontal orientation of the luminaire 50, which is arranged on the one hand by a reflector strip 20 arranged in the region of the receiving region 15 and on the other hand by the obliquely oriented reflection surface Side wall 14 of the lower portion 13 of the profile body 11 are formed.

Both reflection surfaces A and B are therefore aligned at a slight angle to each other and also preferably also differ in terms of their reflection properties. For example, it is provided that the reflector strip 20 consists of a highly reflective material and is designed in particular mirrored. Light rays striking this reflector strip 20 are correspondingly reflected but not scattered. Since the profile body 11 of the attachment is preferably made of sheet metal or aluminum, it is preferably provided that the reflector strip 20 is formed of a separate element consisting of a highly reflective material which is attached to the corresponding inner wall of the profile body 11, for example, snapped. By contrast, the second region B adjoining this reflective region A is preferably designed such that it diffusely reflects incident light rays. Thus, while light rays striking the high-reflectance region A are still emitted towards the bottom, the task of the diffusely reflecting region B is to scatter the incident light laterally and partially even into an area above the luminaire housing 51, as shown. This has the consequence that in the event that the lamp 50 is located near a wall, and the corresponding, located at the height of the lamp 50 wall area is slightly brightened, resulting in a visually appealing effect.

In the first place, however, the light beams emitted in one direction with respect to a longitudinal center plane of the luminaire are reflected or scattered in such a way that, instead of the originally symmetrical light output, an asymmetrical light output is achieved whose light distribution curve III is shown by way of example in FIG FIG. 10 is shown. It can be seen that light is emitted substantially only to the opposite side of the attachment, but now also a small amount of light is emitted horizontally or even slightly upwards. This corresponds to a light distribution curve, as it should be achieved according to the above-described problem.

It can therefore be seen that, according to the present invention, the light output of a luminaire can be effectively influenced with relatively simple means in order ultimately to achieve a desired asymmetrical light output. The add-on element according to the invention is also characterized in that it can be very easily assembled and disassembled, in particular without the use of appropriate tools would be required for this purpose.
