Description

The present invention relates to a motor vehicle parts container intended to allow the storage and transport of said motor vehicle parts, of the type comprising at least a first support device and a second support device, each intended to receive a vehicle part. automobile, each support device comprising a suspension part, comprising at least one suspension rod extending substantially in a suspension direction, and a catching part, comprising means for receiving the motor vehicle part, said container further comprising at least one support member of said support devices, the suspension rods of said support devices being suspended from said support member, said support member extending in a longitudinal direction substantially perpendicular to the suspension direction.

The invention is more particularly applicable to the transport and storage of bumpers assembled front or rear of a motor vehicle during their production and before they are placed on a motor vehicle.

Assembled bumpers are bulky parts that are not easily manipulated manually. It is known to transport them between different workstations by means of a support device carrying a bumper during assembly and running on a rail along the workstations. At the various workstations, operators intervene on the bumper to add functional or decorative parts, such as hubcaps, optical brackets, bumper extensions or other. At these workstations, the bumpers are presented horizontally at the hands of operators to allow them to work without significant constraints. When the assembled bumpers are out of line and are ready to be transported to a motor vehicle assembly plant, they are unhooked from the support device and placed in a container to be put in a truck.

The container is designed to receive the bumpers horizontally or vertically depending on the type of container. When the container receives the bumpers horizontally, an operator picks up the assembled bumper from his support device and carries it to the container where he places it in a housing located at ground level. This operation requires considerable effort on the part of the operator who must carry the bulky bumper and must bend down to place it in the container.

To limit these efforts, two operators can move the bumper, which requires a large workforce. When the container receives the bumpers vertically, the operator does not need to bend to place the bumper in the container, the means of receiving the bumper being located in height, but it must rotate the bumper between its horizontal position on the support device and its vertical position on the container, which also requires a lot of effort.

Thus, the placement of the bumper in its transport container is an operation that is not ergonomic and requires significant effort from one or more operators.

In addition, the assembled bumpers are all oriented similarly in the container, which is not optimal in terms of storage, the number of bumpers housed in a container being limited.

FR 2 928 904 discloses a container of the prior art, corresponding to the preamble of claim 1.

One of the aims of the invention is to overcome these disadvantages by proposing a container of motor vehicle parts to optimize the placement of these parts in a transport container to a motor vehicle assembly plant and increase the number of pieces housed in a container.

For this purpose, the invention relates to a container of the aforementioned type, in which the attachment portion of the first support device extends in a plane substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and the attachment portion of the second support device extends in a plane substantially parallel to the plane containing the longitudinal direction and the suspension direction.

The fact of having a container that can receive support devices whose attachment parts are oriented differently makes it possible to orient the motor vehicle parts differently in the container and thus optimize the storage of these motor vehicle parts. in the container. The number of parts transported in a single trip is therefore increased, which improves the mounting rates of motor vehicles.

In the following description, the terms of direction refer to usual directions of work and storage in a factory. Thus, the "suspension" direction is a vertical direction and the "working" direction is a horizontal direction. It is understood, however, that these directions could be different if the support device is used in a different context than the treatment of assembled bumpers of a motor vehicle.

With reference to Fig. 1 and 2 , a container 1 having the general shape of a substantially parallelepiped cage and adapted to receive a plurality of motor vehicle parts 2 is described.

Such a container 1 is more particularly used to transport assembled bumpers, front or rear, to store them at the output of a assembly line of these assembled bumpers and to bring them to an assembly plant. motor vehicles where these assembled bumpers will be mounted on motor vehicles. Bumper means all motor vehicle parts of the bumper type, also known as "bumper", "shield", etc. More generally, the container 1 is adapted to carry several pieces of elongate shape, extending substantially in a main direction, such as a bumper, a bumper skin, a dashboard body or the like.

The container 1 comprises an outer frame 4 formed of four uprights 6 extending substantially vertically and joining a base 8 to a suspension structure 10 extending substantially horizontally and forming respectively the lower end and the upper end of the container 1. The base 8 is intended to rest on the floor of a factory or the floor of a truck, or on another container 1, while the suspension structure The uprights 6, the base 8 and the suspension structure 10 form between them an internal volume 12 for storing the parts 2 of substantially parallelepipedal shape.

The internal volume 12 is accessible from the outside by an access face 14 of the container 1 defined by two uprights 6, an edge of the base 8 and an edge of the suspension structure 10, the other faces of the container 1 can be partially closed or open or reinforced by bars of the outer frame 4 for example.

The suspension structure 10 is formed of a plurality of support members 16 each extending in a longitudinal direction L substantially perpendicular to the plane in which the access face 14 of the container 1 extends. The support members 16 extend substantially parallel to each other and are each intended to receive a plurality of support devices each supporting a part 2. More particularly, the support elements 16 are each formed by a suspension rail, or transport rail, extending from the access face 14 to the opposite face of the container 1 and slidably receiving a plurality of support devices.

Bien que les éléments de support 6 soient tous sensiblement identiques, certains sont plus particulièrement destinés à recevoir des premiers dispositifs de support 18 et d'autres sont plus particulièrement destinés à recevoir des deuxièmes dispositifs de support 20.Although the support elements 6 are all substantially identical, some are more particularly intended to receive first support devices 18 and others are more particularly intended to receive second support devices 20.

The first and second support devices 18 and 20 are substantially identical except for the orientation of the part 2 received by these support devices 18 and 20.

Thus, each first and second support device comprises a suspension portion 22 suspended from the support member 16 and a catch portion 24 intended to receive the motor vehicle part 2.

The suspension portion 22 is formed by a suspension rod 26 extending mainly in a suspension direction S, substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction L, and comprising at its upper end at least one slider 28 slidably mounted on the suspension element. support 16. Thus, the suspension rod 26 is suspended from the support member 16 and movable in translation relative thereto by means of the slider 28. Suspended means that the suspension rod 26 does not is not in contact with the ground and "hangs" from the support member 6.

The suspension rod 26 extends generally in the suspension direction S, but its shape can be adapted to the geometry of the part 2 to be transported. Thus, according to the embodiments shown in the figures, the rod 26 has for example a bent shape arranged so that the part 2 to be transported can be inscribed inside this shape in order to offer protection of the part 2 as shown on Fig. 5 and 6 . More particularly, the lower end of the suspension rod 26 is formed by a recess 30 extending substantially parallel to the support member 16 and whose free end is provided with an abutment surface 32. The length of the 30 and the abutment surface 32 are arranged so that the abutment surface 32 comes into contact with the suspension rod of a support device arranged downstream or upstream when several support devices are suspended from the support element 16, to avoid contact between the part 2 carried by the support device and the support device downstream or upstream, which could deteriorate the part 2. The shape of the rod 26 also determines the pitch between the successive pieces carried by successive support devices on the support member 16.

The hooking part 24 makes it possible to receive the piece 2 in order to suspend it to the support member 16. For this purpose, the hooking part 24 comprises receiving means 34 of the piece 2 arranged to fix the piece 2 on the attachment part 24 when the part 2 cooperates with the receiving means 34. These receiving means may be of any kind adapted to ensure a robust attachment of the part 2 on the support device. According to the embodiment shown on the Fig. 3 , the receiving means comprise in particular pins for cooperating with corresponding orifices formed in the room. The receiving means may also comprise clips, for example clips distributed in the main direction of the part 2, in order to fix it to the support device 1 over its entire length, as shown in FIGS. Fig. 5 and 6 .

In the first support device 18, the attachment portion 24 extends substantially in a plane substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction L of the support element 16 ( Fig. 5 ), while in the second support device 20, the attachment portion 24 extends substantially in a plane substantially parallel to the plane containing the longitudinal direction L and the suspension direction S ( Fig. 6 ).

Thus, with the first support device 18, the part 2 is oriented so that its outer face extends substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction L and parallel to the suspension direction S, while with the second device 20, the part 2 is oriented so that its outer face extends substantially parallel to the longitudinal direction L and the suspension direction S, as represented on the Fig. 2 . Thus, the parts carried by the first support devices 18 are oriented differently from the parts carried by the second support devices 20. As shown in FIG. Fig. 2 such an arrangement is particularly favorable when the parts carried by the first support devices 18 are bumpers assembled before and when the parts carried by the second support devices 20 are bumper assembled rear because of the bulk respective of these parts.

A particularly favorable arrangement of the container 1 for optimizing the storage of the parts 2 in the internal volume is with a suspension structure 10 comprising two supporting elements 16 of the first support devices 18 and two supporting elements 16 of the second support devices 20, extending successively parallel to each other, each support member 16 receiving two support devices. Thus, sixteen pieces in total can be transported by a container 1, while a conventional container is arranged to receive only four or eight.

The base 8 of the container 1 comprises a plurality of guide elements 36 each extending opposite a support element 16 and arranged to receive the lower end of the suspension rod 26, that is to say The guide member 36 is arranged to hold the suspension rod 26 in the suspension direction S to prevent the support devices from swinging into the internal volume 12 of the container. Each guide element 36 is for example formed by two guide bars extending substantially longitudinally from the access face 14 to the opposite face of the container 1 and being spaced from each other by a distance corresponding to the thickness of the recess 30, as shown in FIG. Fig. 2 . Thus, when the support devices are arranged in the container 1, they are fixed and held firmly in the suspension direction S, which avoids any collision between the parts 2 when the container is placed in a truck and that it circulates. .

According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the first and second support devices 18 and 20 are arranged to allow tilting of the part 2 between a storage position in which the part can be received in the container 1 and a position of work, in which an operator can easily intervene on the part 2 and load and unload it from the support device 18 or 20.

For this purpose, the attachment portion 24 is rotatably mounted on the suspension rod 26 by means of a hinge device 38 so as to allow the attachment portion 24, and thus to the part 2 attached to the attachment portion 24, to swing relative to the suspension rod 26. The hinge device 38, more particularly represented on the Fig. 3 , makes it possible to tilt the hook portion 24 between the storage position and the working position.

In the working position, the attachment portion 24 extends in a direction of attachment A substantially perpendicular to the suspension direction S, that is to say a substantially horizontal direction, so that the main direction of the part 2 carried by the attachment portion 24 is aligned with the direction of attachment A and is oriented in the same way as when it is mounted on the motor vehicle, in the case of a bumper, it is to say horizontally. This working position also corresponds to a position in which the part 2 is substantially at the height of the hands of an operator, so that it can intervene on the part 2, for example to mount inserts, or can hang the part 2 on the hook part 24 or remove it without having to perform non-ergonomic movement.

In the storage position, the attachment portion 24 extends in a direction substantially parallel to the suspension direction S, that is to say a substantially vertical direction, so that the main direction of the part 2 carried by the grip portion 24 is aligned with the suspension direction S. In this position, as shown in FIG. Fig. 5 and 6 the piece 2 extends vertically and occupies a smaller space, which facilitates its transport and improves the storage capacity of the parts in the plant or in the container 1, as described above.

The hooking portion 24 thus makes a quarter turn between the working position and the storage position about a hinge axis R of the articulation device 38 substantially perpendicular to the plane defined by the suspension direction S and the grip direction A, which allows to move the piece 2 between a position in which an operator can easily intervene on the piece, fix it on and remove it from the support device, and a position in which the piece 2 can be stored and transported without clutter.

The articulation device 38 comprises at least one bearing 40 fixed to the suspension rod 26 and a shaft 42 rotatably mounted inside the bearing 40 and fixed to the attachment portion 24. According to the illustrated embodiment in the figures, the articulation device 38 comprises two bearings 40 fixed to a support 44 integral with the suspension rod 26 and extending parallel to the hinge axis R. The shaft 42 extends according to the articulation pin R and is mounted in the bearings 40. The retaining means 34 are mounted integral in rotation with the shaft 42, for example by means of a metal reinforcement 46 of suitable shape.

Dans le deuxième dispositif de support 20, l'axe d'articulation R est sensiblement perpendiculaire à la direction dans laquelle s'étend l'élément de support 16.In the first support device 18, the hinge axis R is substantially parallel to the longitudinal direction L in which the support element 16 extends. the second support device 20, the hinge axis R is substantially perpendicular to the direction in which the support element 16 extends.

Each support device comprises means for blocking the position of the attachment portion 24 in its working position or in its storage position. These locking means comprise a first hook 48 secured to a support 50 integral with the suspension rod 26 and extending substantially perpendicular to the support 44 of the bearings 40. The first hook 48 comprises a cavity 52 extending in the direction of grip A and turned away from the hinge axis R, as shown in FIG. Fig. 3 . The locking means further comprise a second hook 54 secured to the suspension rod 26 and comprising a cavity 56 extending in the suspension direction S and facing away from the hinge axis R, as shown in FIG. the Fig. 3 .

The first and second hooks 48 and 54 are arranged to cooperate with a lug 58 integral in rotation with the hooking portion 24 and adapted to engage in the cavity 52 of the first hook 48 when the hook portion 24 is in its storage position Fig. 3 ) and to engage in the cavity 56 of the second hook 54 when the attachment portion 24 is in its working position. Thus, when the lug 58 is in the cavity of one of the hooks, the hook portion 24 is blocked.

Each support device comprises means for unlocking the locking of the attachment portion 24. These unlocking means comprise an actuating handle 60 able to disengage the lug 58 from a hook 48 or 54 when it is actuated. The handle 60 is actuated for example by rotation and allows a single gesture to disengage the lug 58 of a hook and engage the rotation of the hook portion 24 from one position to the other, the tilting is then done because of the weight of the part 2. Thus, in a single gesture, an operator can unlock the position of the part 2 and move this piece to its other position. Returning means (not shown) may be provided to return the lug to its locking position when the handle is released. Thus, the lug 58 is automatically placed in the locked position when the handle is not actuated, which ensures that the hook portion 24 will be locked in one position or the other and that there is no risk of involuntary tipping of part 2.

The container 1 is for example placed at the end of the assembly line of the part 2 so that at least one support member 16 is placed in the continuity of a transport rail of the assembly line of the part 2 arranged to receiving the first and second support devices 18 and 20 described above. Such a transport rail is conventional in a parts production line and extends over the ceiling of the plant and follows a path corresponding to the displacement of the bumper during assembly between the various workstations thereof. This arrangement makes it possible to pass the support device 18 or 20 directly into the container 1 without having to unhook this device from the transport rail of the plant. A similar system may be provided in the motor vehicle assembly plant to directly pass the support device 18 or 20 from the support member 16 of the container 1 to a transport rail of the workpiece 2 provided in the factory.

The container 1 and the support devices 18 and 20 described above make it possible to limit the transport and manual handling operations of the piece 2, which can be cumbersome. The support devices 18 and 20 is therefore more ergonomic and facilitates the transport of a workpiece 2 in a workpiece assembly plant and the loading and unloading of this workpiece 2 into a transport container 1 by limiting the operations of the workpiece. hooking and unhitching of the part of the support device 1.
