Description

The invention relates to a double-walled drinking glass comprising an outer wall which is transparent at least in sections and has an outer wall outer surface and an outer wall inner surface and inner wall with an inner wall outer surface and an inner wall inner surface, wherein the inner wall outer surface and outer wall inner surface define a cavity. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for producing a printed drinking glass, wherein an outer wall having an outer wall outer surface and an outer wall inner surface and an inner wall having an inner wall outer surface and an inner wall inner surface are formed to form a cavity.

Double-walled drinking glasses are well known in the art US 2005/024103 , The DE 20 2008 001 921 U1 describes, for example, a drinking glass, which consists of two separate glasses. The inner glass is fused with the outer glass on the surface, creating an isolated space. The glass also has a non-slip plastic lid with a closure for a drinking straw.

From the DE 201 03 678 U1 is a drinking glass with a heat storage for cold and hot drinks known. For this purpose, a gel or the like is filled for heat storage in a cavity of the double-walled drinking glass. at Cold drinks, the glass is stored in a freezer before use in hot drinks, the glass is heated before use in a water bath.

In drinking glasses, it is still common to provide them with a print, for example for advertising purposes or as a volume indication. For example, the imprints can be imprinted by means of known printing techniques directly on a glass surface of the drinking glass, wherein, for example, a printing ink can then be dried and baked. For example, screen printing, pad printing or film printing process come into question. Since such glasses, for example, in a dishwasher or in use, are exposed to considerable stresses, the effort that is used for the printing of the drinking glasses, comparatively high. This has a negative impact on the costs associated with the printing of drinking glasses.

It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a drinking glass with a print, the cost of printing should be as low as possible.

This object is achieved by a drinking glass according to claim 1 and a method for printing the drinking glass according to claim 5.

In particular, the object is achieved by a double-walled drinking glass, wherein the drinking glass comprises an at least partially transparent outer wall having an outer wall outer surface and an outer wall inner surface and an inner wall having an inner wall outer surface and an inner wall inner surface, wherein the inner wall outer surface and outer wall inner surface define a cavity. Furthermore, the double-walled drinking glass comprises at least one connecting portion, are connected by the outer wall and inner wall. Within the cavity on the inner wall outer surface and / or outer wall inner surface at least one imprint is provided.

A core idea of the invention is that an imprint is formed within the cavity of a double-walled drinking glass. As a result, the cavity can be used in a synergistic manner, on the one hand to provide insulation and, on the other hand, to provide protection for an imprint. The costs for producing a printed, double-walled drinking glass are reduced. Since the imprint is protected by the outer wall or the inner wall, a relatively low effort for application same necessary. Furthermore, a very significant advantage is that the material (for example, the color) for the imprint does not necessarily have to be compatible with humans, since the imprint is protected by the double-walled training and can be ruled out with high probability that material of the imprint is removed and is absorbed into the human body when drinking. By increasing the selection of candidate materials, the cost can be further reduced; For example, materials can be used that are not suitable for rinsing or dishwasher-safe. Preferably, at least one imprint is provided on the inner wall outer surface. Further preferably, the outer wall opposite the inner wall is arranged such that the imprint on the inner wall outer surface is increased by the outer wall. In such an embodiment, use is made in a synergistic way that drinking glasses are (usually) round in shape and thus a likewise round or roundish outer wall can increase an imprint on the spaced-apart inner wall. This can save material. Furthermore, a special optical effect can be achieved. For this purpose, the outer wall may, for example, have corresponding geometries (deviating from a rounded shape) in order to optically distort the imprint, for example in a first section to enlarge more than in a second section or in a first section to enlarge, but in a second section to reduce ,

In a specific embodiment, the entire drinking glass (apart from at least one imprint) is formed in one piece from glass. The drinking glass thus forms a monolithic (one-piece) glass body. In particular, the drinking glass can be poured in one piece. As a result, reliable protection for the imprint (for example advertising imprint) is ensured with comparatively simple means. The manufacturing costs are further reduced.

In a preferred embodiment, the imprint may be such that at least one color and / or brightness of the imprint changes as a function of the temperature. For example, it could be provided that the color of the imprint changes when the temperature falls below or is exceeded (for example, a predetermined drinking temperature of 40 to 70 ° C., in particular 55 ° C.). In this embodiment, the double wallness so also used to permanently apply special color-sensitive imprints on drinking glasses, which are usually exposed to high stresses.

In a specific embodiment, the cavity is sealed fluid-tight. This can be ruled out with high certainty that material of the imprint is replaced and the user of the drinking glass is supplied. As a result, (practically) any materials can be used. Restrictions on health aspects are (practically) absent.

An average distance or even a maximum distance (in particular in the region of imprinting) between inner wall and outer wall can be between 0.25 and 0.57 cm, in particular at 0.5 cm. By such a distance not only a good insulation is achieved, but also at the same time allows an optical enlargement of the imprint (if this is applied to the inner wall). As a result, several functions are taken into account with simple measures, which reduces the production costs.

  1. a) Herstellen einer Außenwand mit einer Außenwandaußenfläche und einer Außenwandinnenfläche sowie einer Innenwand mit einer Innenwandaußenfläche und einer Innenwandinnenfläche;
The above object is achieved independently by a method for producing a printed drinking glass, in particular of the type described above, with the steps:
  1. a) producing an outer wall having an outer wall outer surface and an outer wall inner surface and an inner wall having an inner wall outer surface and an inner wall inner surface;
  2. b) printing the outer wall inner surface and / or the inner wall outer surface with at least one imprint; such as
  3. c) connecting the inner wall and outer wall, such that the imprint lies within a cavity defined by inner wall and outer wall.

With regard to the advantages, reference is made to the drinking glass described above.

Preferably, printing takes place in step b) before joining (fusing). As a result, an imprint can be applied particularly easily.

Outer and inner wall and possibly a connecting portion can be made in one piece, in particular fused together. The outer and inner walls and optionally a connecting portion can be made entirely of glass, wherein a coherent glass body can be produced. The cavity can be formed fluid-tight. Furthermore, the cavity can be formed entirely by outer wall inner surface and inner wall outer surface. A separate floor element or the like is thus not (necessarily) necessary.

The cavity can be filled or evacuated with air or a noble gas. As a result, the insulation of the cavity is improved (at the same time existing imprint).

Weitere Ausführungsformen ergeben sich aus den Unteransprüchen.Further embodiments emerge from the subclaims.

In the following, the invention will also be described in terms of further features and advantages with reference to embodiments, which are explained in more detail by the figures.

In the following description, the same reference numerals are used for the same and like parts.

In the oblique view according to Fig. 1 is a drinking glass with several imprints 10 to see. According to Fig. 2 the drinking glass is double-walled and comprises an outer wall 11 and an inner wall 12. At least the outer wall 11 (possibly also the inner wall 12) is transparent (transparent).

On an inner wall outer surface 13, the imprints 10 are applied. An inner wall inner surface 14 is provided for receiving the beverage. The inner wall 12 includes a (circumferential) inner wall side portion 15 and an inner wall bottom portion 16.

The outer wall 11 comprises an outer wall outer surface 17 against which the drinking glass can be held and an outer wall inner surface 18. The outer wall inner surface 18 and the inner wall outer surface 13 define a cavity 19, which can be filled with air, for example.

Through the inner wall bottom portion 16 and the outer wall bottom portion 21, a double bottom 23 is formed. By the inner wall side portion 15 and the outer wall side portion 20 and a side portion 24 of the drinking glass is double-walled.

The inner wall 12 is fused to the outer wall 11 in a connecting region 22 with each other. The connecting portion 22 defines an upper, the bottom 23 opposite edge. Otherwise, inner wall 12 and outer wall 11 do not touch. This achieves good insulation with a simple construction.

Inner wall 12 and outer wall 11 taper toward the respective bottom sections 16, 21, so that the drinking glass tapers downwards overall towards the bottom.

The imprints 10 can be applied, for example, by screen printing, offset printing or pad printing, if necessary by heat application.

The drinking glass or the outer wall 11 is preferably round in a horizontal cross-section (at least in sections). This allows a provided on the inner wall 12 imprint 10 can be increased in a simple manner, which improves the visual impression and at the same time reduces the cost of materials for the imprint.
