When the power or the fuel is changed, they usually rearrange on different value levels that are not linearly correlated to the values before the change. Abstract

La présente invention porte sur un procédé pour détecter un état prédéterminé dans une turbine à gaz (10) et sur un système de détection de défaillance pour une turbine à gaz (10). L'invention analyse des lectures de température instantanée provenant de différents points (42, 32) à l'intérieur ou à l'extérieur/en aval d'un système de combustion (22) de la turbine à gaz (10) en calculant la variance (130) pour chaque point de mesure (42, 32) pendant une période de temps prédéterminée. La variance d'un point de mesure est sélectionnée, puis comparée à un seuil qui est basé sur au moins deux des autres variances des autres points de mesure (140, 150). Si ladite variance sélectionnée s'élève au-dessus du seuil, la présence d'un état prédéterminé est détectée (170, 180).
