Abstract

The invention relates to a refrigerator with a cooling chamber (2) for storing drinks, food and beverages and the like goods whose interior is provided with a lighting device (9). This is installed as indirect lighting in the rear space (10) of the cooling chamber behind a projecting diaphragm (11). It evenly illuminates the entire cooling chamber with a pleasantly subdued light, which creates very aesthetic lighting effects.

Description

  • The invention relates to a refrigerator with a cooling chamber for storing drinks, food and the like goods whose interior is provided with a lighting device.
  • Refrigerators of this type are known not only in the home, but also in restaurants, hotels, offices and similar institutions in operation. They can also be used as so-called wine cabinets.
  • The interior lighting of the cold room allows access to the goods at any time, regardless of the location of the refrigerator. The aim is to achieve a pleasant illumination, which does not affect the view through glare effects. An interior lighting of this kind is in the EP 2 131 128 A1 revealed. Although the illumination described therein meets the above requirements. However, due to the design, it does not generate particularly uniform illumination.
  • The invention has for its object to provide a refrigerator of the type mentioned with a lighting device that ensures the most uniform possible illumination of the entire interior of the cooling chamber.
  • This object is achieved according to the invention in that the illumination device is installed as indirect illumination in the rear space of the cooling chamber behind a projecting diaphragm. In this way, neither the refrigerator user nor the stored goods are exposed to the direct action of light of the lighting device, but this illuminates even indirectly indirectly the entire cooling chamber with a pleasantly mild light, which also causes aesthetically pleasing lighting effects.
  • In terms of a simple construction of the lighting, it is provided according to the invention that the panel largely covers the rear wall of the cooling chamber except for an open edge area along the side walls of the cooling chamber. In the open edge region, the diaphragm is spaced from the side walls by preferably 100 mm to 150 mm. Such a distance may also exist between the aperture and the ceiling of the cooling chamber.
  • The invention also provides that the side walls or the ceiling of the cooling chamber are rounded off in the region of their inner edges, wherein the rounding off is coordinated with the lateral distance from the panel. In this way, the lighting effect of the indirect lighting is intensified.
  • In order to facilitate the installation and removal of the lighting device, it is provided according to the invention that it is installed in a mounted on the panel panel, wherein the panel is releasably secured to the rear wall of the cooling chamber.
  • The illumination device expediently contains a light ring or light chain adapted from the geometry of the diaphragm outline from light bulbs, light-emitting diodes, fluorescent tubes and similar light-emitting bodies. In order to vary the light effect, the illumination intensity and / or the hue of the illumination can be adjustable.
  • In refrigerators with several cooling chambers, which are separated from each other by opaque partitions, each cooling chamber according to the invention has its own indirect lighting, which also allows for individual actuation.
  • The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to an embodiment with reference to the drawing. Show it:

  • The in Fig. 1 shown refrigerator has a lower freezer compartment 1 and an upper cooling chamber 2, which can be locked with a door 3. The cooling chamber 2 is located in a cup-shaped inner container 4 with a bottom wall 5, a ceiling 6 and side walls 7 and 8. The inner container 3 is made of a suitable plastic whose surface reflects the incident light according to the plastic properties.
  • The cooling chamber 2 is equipped with a lighting device 9 through which the interior of the cooling chamber is illuminated when the door 3 is open. The lighting device 9 is installed in the rear space 10 of the cooling chamber behind a projecting diaphragm 11 made of sheet metal or plastic, the surface of which reflects the light according to the material properties of the diaphragm.
  • The rear wall 12 of the cooling chamber is largely covered by the panel 11 to an open edge region 13 along the ceiling 6 and the side walls 7 and 8. In the edge region 13, the diaphragm 11 has a lateral distance 14 of about 130 mm to the ceiling 6 and the side walls 7 and 8. The lateral distance 14 is dependent on the dimensions of the refrigerator and on the intensity and other properties of the light source.
  • The lighting device 9 is formed as a light ring or fairy lights from individual lighting elements 15 in the form of light bulbs or LEDs. Their design is adapted to the geometry of the diaphragm outline. This applies in particular to the dimension in which the illumination elements 15 are covered by the diaphragm 11. Instead of light-emitting diodes or bulbs, one or more correspondingly shaped fluorescent tubes can be used.
  • The illumination of the cooling chamber 2 takes place indirectly, in that the ceiling 6 and the side walls 7 and 8 reflect the laterally incident light of the illumination device 9 into the interior of the cooling chamber. This results in a uniformly damped lighting in all areas of the cooling chamber. The intensity of the illumination depends on the power of the illumination device 9 and its positioning in the cooling chamber, as well as on the dimensions of the diaphragm and the material properties of the reflective wall surfaces.
  • In the described embodiment, the aperture is also spaced from the ceiling of the cooling chamber. Depending on the type or size of the refrigerator, however, it is also readily possible within the scope of the invention to lengthen the panel as far as the ceiling so that it completely covers the rear wall of the cooling chamber in terms of its height.
  • In order to enhance the lighting effect of the indirect lighting, the ceiling 6 and the side walls 7 and 8 are rounded in the region of their inner edges 16, wherein the degree of rounding with the lateral distance 14 to the aperture 11 is tuned.
  • The lighting elements 15 including their power supply lines are well protected in a panel 17 behind the aperture 11 housed. The panel 17 is attached to the panel 11, which in turn is attached to the rear wall 12 of the cooling chamber 2. This makes it possible to inspect or repair the illumination device by removing the diaphragm 11 together with the panel 17 from the cooling chamber.
  • The illumination device according to the invention, with its indirect illumination, produces a very aesthetic lighting effect which can be used in numerous appealing design variants. In order to adapt these to the particular use of the refrigerator, the illumination intensity and / or color of the illumination device is adjustable.
  • In the described embodiment, the refrigerator has a cooling chamber with two dash-dot lines, translucent shelves. If the cooling space is subdivided by opaque dividing walls into a plurality of cooling chambers 2a, 2b, 2c, then it is possible to provide each cooling chamber with an individually operable and / or adjustable own indirect lighting.
  • The described embodiment relates to a standard version of the refrigerator with a rectangular cooling space. Accordingly, the aperture 11 is also rectangular. However, their geometry does not necessarily exactly match that of the cold room. This is especially true in refrigerators with a special design of the refrigerator.
  • The invention is sufficiently demonstrated with the embodiment explained above. It could of course be designed differently. As a refrigerator, for example, a wine cabinet is conceivable in which this inventive lighting would be installed in an analogous manner.
  • In principle, more than one aperture per cooling space could also be provided, for example with different light for each aperture.

Claims (11)

  1. Refrigerator with at least one cooling chamber (2) for storing beverages, foodstuffs and similar goods, the interior of which is provided with a lighting device (9), characterized in that
    the illumination device (9) is installed as indirect illumination in the rear space (10) of the cooling chamber (2) behind at least one projecting diaphragm (11).
  2. Refrigerator according to claim 1, characterized in that
    the diaphragm (11) substantially covers the rear wall (12) of the cooling chamber except for an open edge region (13) along the side walls (7, 8) of the cooling chamber.
  3. Refrigerator according to claim 2, characterized in that
    the aperture (11) in the open edge region (13) is at a lateral distance (14) of preferably 100 mm to 150 mm away from the side walls (7, 8) of the cooling chamber.
  4. Refrigerator according to claim 3, characterized in that
    the diaphragm (11) is also at a lateral distance (14) of preferably 100 mm to 150 mm from the ceiling (6) of the cooling chamber.
  5. Refrigerator according to one of claims 2 to 4, characterized in that
    the side walls (7, 8) and the ceiling (6) of the cooling chamber in the region of their inner edges (16) are rounded, wherein the rounding with the lateral distance (14) to the diaphragm (11) is tuned.
  6. Refrigerator according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that
    the panel (11) is provided with a panel (17) containing the illumination device (9).
  7. Refrigerator according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that
    the diaphragm (11) is releasably secured to the rear wall (12) of the cooling chamber.
  8. Refrigerator according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that
    the lighting device (9) is provided with at least one of the geometry of the diaphragm outline adapted light string or light ring.
  9. Refrigerator according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that
    the lighting device (9) consists of lighting elements (15) in the form of light bulbs, light-emitting diodes or fluorescent tubes.
  10. Refrigerator according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that
    the illumination intensity and / or the hue of the illumination device (9) are adjustable.
  11. Refrigerator according to one of claims 1 to 10, characterized in that
    the cooling space is divided by partition walls into a plurality of cooling chambers (2a, 2b, 2c,), each cooling chamber being provided with a preferably individually operable, own indirect lighting.
