- a container ship comprises numerous adjacent container bays which extend in the transverse direction of the container ship. Within each bay, containers are stacked next to and upon each other in the longitudinal direction of the ship. The ship to shore cranes are displaced along the quay up to a position for accessing these bays and the containers accommodated therein. The cantilever part of the boom extends above the full container bay, in such a way that all containers therein can be handled.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a ship to shore crane installation which allows a more flexible handling of the containers in adjacent container bays. This object is achieved by an installation according to which the gantry structures of directly adjacent ship to shore cranes are offset with respect to each other in the transverse direction and overlap each other in the longitudinal direction.
- the ship to shore cranes can be moved closer to each other due to the fact that they are not exactly aligned, but displaced somewhat with respect to each other in the direction of the booms thereof.

- a tension member 22 has been provided for stabilizing the hinged boom section.
- the trolley 23 is provided with a slewing ring 24 by means of which the container 5 can be rotated from the longitudinal direction as shown in the figures, into a transverse direction. This may be necessary for making the container 5 pass the legs 8', 8" of the water side frame 8. In the case of a narrow spacing 25 of the legs 8', 8", the dimension thereof may be smaller than the length 26 of a container. By rotating the container into the transverse orientation, such large container may safely pass the water side frame 8.
Claims (14)
- Installation de grue du type navire-terre, comprenant un quai (2) définissant une direction longitudinale et une direction transversale, et au moins deux grues navire-terre (1) qui peuvent être déplacées le long du quai dans la direction longitudinale, chaque grue navire-terre ayant une structure de portique (6) et une structure de flèche (7) supportée par la structure de portique, la structure de flèche (7) de chaque grue navire-terre (1) étant agencée dans la direction transversale, et un chariot (8) supporté par la structure de flèche (7) pour transférer un conteneur (5), caractérisée en ce que les structures de portique de grues navire-terre directement adjacentes (1) sont décalées l'une par rapport à l'autre dans la direction transversale, et se chevauchent l'une l'autre dans la direction longitudinale.
- Installation selon la revendication 1, dans laquelle la structure de portique (6) de chaque grue navire-terre (1) a un châssis côté eau (8) et un châssis côté terre (9), les châssis de support (8, 9) de grues directement adjacentes (1) étant décalés l'un par rapport à l'autre.
- Installation selon la revendication 2, dans laquelle chaque châssis de support (8, 9) a deux jambes entre lesquelles s'étend la structure de flèche (7).
- Installation selon la revendication 3, dans laquelle la distance mutuelle (25) des jambes (8', 8") du châssis côté eau (8) est plus petite que la longueur (26) d'un conteneur (5), le chariot (23) étant muni de moyens de pivotement (24) pour faire tourner un conteneur (5) par rapport à un axe vertical.
- Installation selon l'une quelconque des revendications 2 à 4, dans laquelle le châssis côté eau (8) d'une grue navire-terre (1) est situé entre le châssis côté eau (8) et le châssis côté terre (9) de la grue navire-terre directement adjacente (1), vu dans la direction transversale
- Installation selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans laquelle le quai (2) est muni d'au moins deux voies (12, 13) s'étendant généralement dans la direction longitudinale, les voies étant décalées l'une par rapport à l'autre, et les grues navire-terre (1) sont chacune munies de roues de support (11), de telle sorte que les roues de support d'une grue navire-terre sont supportées par une des voies et les roues de support d'une grue navire-terre directement adjacente sont supportées sur l'autre voie.
- Installation selon la revendication 6, dans laquelle chaque voie (12, 13) comprend une paire de rails (14, 15) supportées par rapport au quai (2).
- Installation selon la revendication 7, dans laquelle un rail monté sur quai (15) de chaque paire de rails (12, 13) est reçu sur ou dans la surface du quai (2).
- Installation selon les revendications 7 ou 8, dans laquelle le rail côté terre (14) de chaque paire de rails (12, 13) est reçu sur ou dans une poutre de rail surélevée (16).
- Installation selon l'une quelconque des revendications 6 à 9, dans laquelle les roues (11) de chaque grue navire-terre (1) sont agencées conformément à des ensembles qui sont reçus dans des mécanismes de déplacement de grue (10).
- Installation selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans laquelle la structure de flèche (7) a une poutre de pont fixe (18) reliée à la structure de portique (6), et une poutre de flèche articulée (19) reliée à la poutre de flèche fixe par l'intermédiaire d'une construction d'articulation (20).
- Installation selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans laquelle la structure de portique (6) de chaque grue navire-terre (1) a un châssis côté eau (8) et un châssis côté terre (9), les châssis de support (8, 9) de grues directement adjacentes (1) sont décalés l'un par rapport à l'autre.
- Installation selon la revendication 12, dans laquelle chaque châssis de support (8, 9) a deux jambes entre lesquelles s'étend la structure de flèche (7).
- Installation selon la revendication 13, dans laquelle l'espacement (25) des jambes (8', 8") du châssis côté eau (8) est plus petit que la longueur (26) d'un conteneur (5), le chariot (23) étant muni de moyens de pivotement (24) pour faire tourner un conteneur (5) par rapport à un axe vertical.
