From the EP 2 147 873 A2 is a storage container for food, especially for pies and cakes known with a lid having alternately window-like sections which form part of the wall. It is an object of the present invention to abolish these abuses and to provide a package for cream cheese products, with which a product to be stored is better stockpiled.

To solve this problem, the present invention is characterized by the features specified in claim 1.

The spacers may be in the lid molded, for example, rounded indentations that can serve as gripping elements for later handling of the lid to release the lid from the bottom part and to connect this again with the bottom part. These spacers are formed in side wall portions of the lid, for example, in a rounded upper portion of the lid of a top-rounded lid bell.
