Abstract
Description
The present invention is in the field of connection technology and relates to hinges which are used in particular in glass elements. These glass elements are used, among other things, in sanitary technology.
It is known that in shower cabins, the shower curtains are increasingly being replaced by glass. As partition walls, glass panes have the advantage that they are easier to clean, do not visually lock the cabin space and provide better protection against spray water from the shower. On the other hand, the properties and characteristics of glass in the handling and processing of glass require different conditions compared to shower curtains made of fabric or plastic. Among other things, weight, fragility and processing ability of glass are very different to those of fabric or plastic.
There are now a large number of mounting options for glass panels in shower cubicles. Thus, the glass sheets are provided with metal frames of, for example, aluminum and fixed with other means which are connected to the frame. Or glass sheets are fixed with clamps or clamps of similar means. These devices normally do not require post-processing of the glass of the slices by cutting or breaking. However, the prior art comprises connecting elements for glass panes which consist of several individual parts: a first element for holding the glass pane and a second element connected to the first element for mounting to the wall or to another glass element. The glass surface is more difficult to access at the edge due to the connecting elements that hold the glass pane. These fasteners clamp the glass sheet from both surfaces and thereby form a bump on the glass sheet. Likewise, screws that fix the connecting elements with the glass pane, visible from the outside and thus weather-prone and unaesthetic. The easy accessibility of the screws from the outside also reduces safety, as this provides the possibility of easily detaching and removing the connecting element from the glass pane. Such fasteners or fasteners are due to the number of Parts more expensive and complicated and complicate the other hand, the treatment and cleaning of glass, since they are no longer flat.
The object of the present invention is to overcome the aforementioned problems and to produce a low-cost and simple hinge which is flush with the glass element.
In particular, the present invention relates to an arrangement for the pivotal connection of two plate-shaped glass elements with a first and second hinge part, which are pivotally connected to each other; and two attachment means for attaching the hinge parts to each of the two glass elements, the arrangement being characterized in that the attachment means are each formed such that they are formed in the mounted state of the associated glass element flush with the two surfaces of the glass element.
Advantageously, the fastening means each enclose a cavity into which the associated hinge part at least partially extends and in which this is anchored.
Preferably, the fastening means consist of two plate-shaped parts, which are fastened around the cavity and clamped to the associated glass element.
Advantageously, the connection of the two plate-shaped parts by a screw connection.
Advantageously, the screw connection has two screws which extend parallel to the glass element through the cavity.
Vorteilhafterweise sind die Befestigungsmittel identisch ausgebildet.Advantageously, the fastening means are identical.
Furthermore, the present invention relates to a shower cubicle with at least one wall element consisting of glass and also made of glass existing door, which is pivotally connected to the wall element, wherein the shower cubicle is characterized in that the connection between the wall element and door by at least one, preferably more of the aforementioned arrangements.
Preferably, the wall element and the door have the same thickness.

The following is the explanation of the invention with reference to the drawings according to structure and optionally also after operation of the illustrated invention.
The

The plate has a U-shaped edge and a surface which is equal to or less than the area of the recess from the edge of the glass surface, and is suitable flush with the glass surface in a mounted state of the hinge. On the surface of the plate of the first plate-shaped
In the extension, the
The two
The hinge joint 6 further comprises a
The fastener is connected to the
The arrangement B is oval shaped, wherein the plate-shaped
The assembly C comprises a rectangular region X and a connected oval region Y. The region X is cut perpendicularly into the edge of the glass element. The arrangement D comprises a rectangular region X and a connected square region Y with rounded corners.
The arrangement E comprises a rectangular region X and a connected, rectangular region Y with rounded corners.
The arrangement F comprises a rectangular region X and a connected, circular region Y.
Die Region Y zeigt mit ihrer Spitze in die Region X.The arrangement G comprises a rectangular region X and a connected, triangular region Y with rounded corners. The region Y points with its tip in the region X.
Die Region Y zeigt mit ihrer Seitenkante in die Region X.The arrangement H comprises a rectangular region X and a connected, triangular region Y with rounded corners. The region Y points with its side edge into the region X.
Die Anordnung I ist pillenförmig.The arrangement I is pill-shaped.
In addition, the aforementioned regions Y prevent the hinge from being pulled out of the recess of the glass element because the wider regions Y do not fit through the narrow regions X in the pulling direction.
In other examples, only one wing of the hinge described above without the hinge is used to fix the glass element and mount it perpendicular to a wall.
