According to the drawings, a seat cushion 2 and an additional cushion 3 is pivotally mounted in a furniture frame 1. At the seat cushion 2 and its frame engage two parallelogram 4 and 5, the lower ends are mounted on a rail 6 on the furniture frame 1. The lower ends of the parallelogram 4 and 5 are extended by elbows 7 and 8.

At the elbows 7 and 8 tabs 9 and 10 are articulated, which engage the additional cushion 3.

On furniture frame 1, a pivot arm 11 is mounted, which also acts on the additional cushion 3.

Between the seat cushion 2 and the elbows 7 and 8, springs 12 and 13 engage.

Numerous modifications are possible within the scope of the invention. So could be used with lighter pads and only a spring 12 or 13. The furniture can also be supplemented by a foot pad, which can be e.g. in the sitting position of the furniture serves as a backrest.

Claims (2)

1. Seating furniture that can be converted into a bed, with a seat cushion (2) and at least one additional cushion (3), wherein the additional cushion (3) lies under the seat cushion (2) with the furniture in the sitting position and subsequently against the swivelled seat cushion (2) in a lifted position, and wherein further parallelogram guiders (4, 5) and springs (12, 13) are provided for pivoting the seat cushion (2) and lifting the additional cushion (3), characterized in that the parallelogram guiders (4, 5) are hinged to the seat cushion (2) at one and to the furniture frame (1) on the other, and angularly lengthened at the end hinged to the furniture frame (1), wherein the brackets (7, 8) engage the additional cushion (3) via fishplates (9, 10), and a spring (12, 13) is arranged at least between the one bracket (7, 8) and additional cushion (3).
2. Seating furniture according to claim 1, characterized in that a pivot arm (11) secured to the furniture frame (1) engages the additional cushion (3).
