In view of this prior art discussed, the invention is based on the object of designing a seating and reclining furniture mentioned at the outset in such a way that anyone can easily convert it from the sitting position into the reclining position, especially if it has two or more elements which are kinematically connected to one another when being pulled out for forming the lying surface. This object is achieved according to the invention by a generic type of seating and reclining furniture, in which a manually graspable pulling means for pulling out the cushion element is connected to the cushion element or a cushion frame carrying the cushion element.

This seating and reclining furniture has a traction means, which is designed, for example, as a rope, loop or the like, and is connected to the extendable or extendable element of the seating and reclining furniture. In a preferred embodiment, the traction means is connected in the area of the rear end of the cushion frame of the extendable carriage.
