Abstract

For use as a chair or sofa the seat area is assembled of an upper layer (6) positioned on top of a lower layer (4), both joined laterally with a system of swivel mounted levers (3, 11, 12, 15, 24) and kept in position by a gas pressurized spring (10). For conversion into a bed the upper section (6) is pulled to the front causing a bolt (23) extending vertically from the lower surface at the rear of the section (6) to engage with a matching element at a locking unit (16) at the front of the lower section (4). The locking unit (20, 21) is released resulting also in a release of the spring (10), which moves the lower section (4) into a position level with the upper section (6, 9) in order to create a sleeping area.

Claims (9)

1. Verwandelbares Sitz-Liegemöbel, umfassend ein sich bodenseitig abstützendes Gestell (2) mit einem ersten Polsterrahmen(4) und umfassend zumindest einen am Gestell (2) geführten und zum Wandeln des Sitz-Liegemöbels (1) aus seiner Sitzstellung ein seine Liegestellung und umgekehrt gegenüber dem Gestell (2) verfahrba­ ren Wagen (6) mit einem zweiten Polstertragerahmen (9), wobei die beiden Polstertragerahmen (4, 9) in der Sitzstellung des Sitz- Liegemöbels (1) übereinander und in der Liegestellung des Sitz- Liegemöbel (1) zum Ausbilden der Liegefläche nebeneinander an­ geordnet sind und wobei einer der Polstertragerahmen (4) an zu­ mindest einem Hebebeschlag (3, 3') angeschlossen ist, mit dem dieser Polstertragerahmen (4) aus einer abgesenkten Stellung in seine aufgestellte Stellung gebracht werden kann, dadurch ge­ kennzeichnet, dass dem Hebebeschlag (3, 3') ein in der abge­ senkten Stellung des Polstertragerahmens (4) gespanntes, gegen eine lösbare Verriegelung (16) wirkendes Aufstellelement (10), durch das nach dem Lösen der Verriegelung (16) der Polstertrage­ rahmen (4) aus seiner abgesenkten Stellung in seine aufgestellte Stellung gebracht wird, sowie eine lösbare Sicherungseinrichtung (24, 25) zugeordnet sind, über die sich der aufgestellte Polstertra­ gerahmen abstützt.1.
