Abstract
Description
- The present invention relates to a carrier means for a cooking tray for a household appliance and particularly an electrical oven having suitable carrier means for statically delimiting movement of a cooking tray. Further, an electrical appliance is disclosed.
- Various designs have been utilized to ensure proper functioning of structural elements such as side-carriers within oven compartments. To this end an endless number of design alternatives may be suggested. A clear priority of the design engineer is to maximize material savings and shorten manufacturing processes. Every structural detail is prone to increase complexity in terms of manufacturing processes.
- Therefore it is desired that the overall product is designed with an optimal design concept taking into account proper functioning in the manner that the smallest degree of material is used to manufacture the overall product in the shortest possible period.
- An electrical oven typically comprises a plurality of trays parallel to the ground on which said oven's legs rest. Those trays are arranged within the inner compartment such that they are held in position one above another in a parallel position in a conventional manner. A cooking tray is generally introduced into the oven on a guiding carrier delimiting the movement of the tray in the vertical axis. The state of the art approaches this task by providing a pair of side bars through which a tray is positioned such that its movement is restricted by those bars in upward and downward directions.
- It is in object of the present invention to provide an improved carrier means for cooking trays. It is further an object to provide an electrical household appliance having a plurality of cooking trays removably guided into an inner compartment of said oven on side-bars restricting vertical movement of said trays with respect to the ground of said electrical appliance.
- Therefore, a carrier device for an inner compartment of an electric household appliance is disclosed, said carrier device is adapted to receive a cooking tray and to constrain a movement of the cooking tray essentially to a horizontal movement, wherein the carrier device comprises at least one single side-bar having a plurality of bends formed such that the single side-bar constrains a vertical movement of the cooking tray.
- Embodiments of the present invention provide securely guidance of a tray in an oven, however, this is achieved without making use of a pair of side-bars, but only a single bar to restrict tray movement on the vertical axis with respect to the ground of the electrical oven is needed.
- The bar can be made of metal.
- In embodiments, the single-side bar constrains a vertical upward movement and a vertical downward movement of the cooking tray.
- The carrier device may comprise a plurality of said side-bars arranged on parallel and coupled to each other by at least one crossbar.
- In embodiments the side-bar has a C-shaped section which is adapted to clasp around an edge of said cooking tray.
- The bends are preferably essentially ninety-degree bends.
- This disclosure further proposes a household appliance and particularly an electrical oven having suitable carrier means for statically delimiting movement of a cooking tray within a cooking compartment. Said cooking trays are removably guided into said inner compartment on side-bars restricting vertical movement of said trays with respect to the ground of said oven by means of a single side-bar designed to restrict movement in both upward and downward directions such that said bar is shaped to have an outward curvature in the direction of the side-wall of the oven, followed by an upward and then an inward curvature, together forming a "C" form whose open part faces the inner compartment. A second "C" form structure is provided parallel to the first one connected by an intermediate line such that an inner region defined by said pair of "C" form structures and said intermediate line is formed to carry said cooking trays by restricting movement thereof in the vertical axis. Said pair of "C" form structures is provided at each side in a plural manner to provide a better support.
- In embodiments of the carrier device or household appliance the following features can be implemented either alone or in combination with each other:
- Said bar-like element may be either perpendicular to the main longitudinal axis of said side-bar or provided with an inclination with respect thereto.
- Said side-bar can be shaped to have an outward curvature in the direction of the side-wall of the appliance, followed by an upward and then an inward curvature, together forming a "C" form whose open part faces the inner compartment.
- A second "C" form structure is provided parallel to the first "C" form structure being connected by an intermediate line.
- At least a pair of "C" form structures can be provided at opposite sides of the inner compartment.
- The household appliance may be an electrical oven.
- The side-bar can have a circular cross-section.
- The inner compartment may be block-shaped or cuboid-shaped.
- Hence, embodiments of the carrier means allow that an electrical household appliance having a plurality of cooking trays removably guided into an inner compartment of said oven on side-bars restricting vertical movement of said trays with respect to the ground of said electrical appliance having only a single side-bar designed to restrict movement in both upward and downward directions.
- The figures whose brief explanations are herewith provided are solely intended for providing a better understanding of the present invention and are as such not intended to define the scope of protection or the context in which said scope is interpreted in the absence of the description.
- Accompanying drawings are given solely for the purpose of exemplifying an electrical household appliance cooking tray support means in which:
-
Fig. 1 demonstrates a perspective view of a conventional carrier means and, -
Fig 2 demonstrates a perspective view of an embodiment of a carrier or support means according to the present invention. - Referring now to the figures outlined above, this disclosure proposes an electrical appliance and particularly an electrical oven having suitable carrier means for statically delimiting movement of a cooking tray within a cooking compartment.
- Said cooking trays (not shown) are typical food containers in the form of shallow vessels removably guided into said inner compartment of said oven. Said cooking trays are guided on side-bars extending on both sides of the oven to support and carry said trays parallel to the appliance's ground. Said side-bars restrict vertical movement of said trays with respect to the ground of said oven by means of a single-line side-bar designed to restrict movement in both upward and downward directions.
- The shown carrier device 1 comprises single side-
bars 12 that have a plurality ofbends 3. Thebends 3 are essentially rectangular. A respective single side-bar 12 is placed between twocross bars 2. - Said
bar 12 is shaped to have an outward curvature in the direction of the side-wall of the oven, followed by an upward and then an inward curvature, together forming a "C"form 13 whose open part faces the inner compartment. A second "C"form structure 13 is provided parallel to the first one connected by anintermediate line 14 such that an inner region defined by said pair of "C"form structures 13 and saidintermediate line 14 is formed to carry said cooking trays by restricting movement thereof in the vertical axis. - Said pair of "C"
form structures 13 is provided at each side in a plural manner to provide a better support although a single "C"form structure 13 at each side can perform and achieve the desired effect of restricting movements in both upward and downward directions. - Thanks to the single-line form side-
bars 12 provided with curvatures to obtain the "C"form structures 13 according to the embodiment of a carrier or support means, there is no need for a second bar-like entity, and a cooking tray can easily be supported and uni-directionally moved into said oven compartment. Therefore, as a result of the embodiment according to the present invention there is no pair of side-bars necessary. - The "C"
form structures 13 according to the embodiment may achieve the same effect in various forms as long as the main underlying concept , i.e. the fact that said single-line side-bar 12 is provided at a certain distance from the side-wall of the oven and at least one bar-like element is provided to be extending in the direction of said side-wall, either perpendicular to the main longitudinal axis of said side-bar 12 or with an inclination with respect thereto, said bar-like element then having a curved portion extending back in the direction of the inner side of the cooking compartment is used. - In summary, this disclosure proposes an electrical household appliance having an inner compartment for receiving a tray for containing food. Said trays are introduced into said inner compartment in the manner to be guided on side-
bars 12 being provided on the side-walls of said compartment and said trays are guided to be extending parallel to the ground of said appliance. Said side-bars 12 ensure that said trays are not allowed vertical movement with respect to the ground of said appliance. - Said side-
bars 12 are in the form of a single-line structure with a main longitudinal axis parallel to said side-walls. Said side-bars' 12 main longitudinal axis is provided at a certain distance from each side-wall of said appliance and at least one bar-like element is branched from said main longitudinal axis to be extending in the direction of said side-wall. Said bar-like element has a curved portion extending back in the direction of the inner side of said inner compartment. - The present disclosure therefore provides various embodiments according to which either a single-line non-branching structure is used with "C"
form structures 13 connected withintermediate lines 14 or no such intermediate line is used and each "C"form structure 13 is a branch splitting from the main longitudinal axis of said side-bar to form a "C"element 13 discontinued at its upper end and therefore not connected to the subsequent "C" element by an intermediate line14. - To this end, either two neighboring "C"
elements 13 are connected accordingly or a singular discontinued "C" element is present, both structures can be used in a singular or plural manner as long as each structure is provided in a symmetrical manner, i.e. at both sides of said inner compartment.
