Definitions
- the present invention relates to the field of diffusers of odorous substances and more particularly to the field of diffusers allowing a controlled and prolonged diffusion of the odorous substances that they comprise.
- the patent Wo 2004/075933 proposes a composite to diffuse a volatile substance.
- the patent US 5,093,182 offers an example of this application of a perfume with a printed advertising medium.
- This particular application is operated so that the perfume deposited on the advertising medium does not interact with the ink of the printed surface.
- the perfume oil is premixed in the absence of aqueous phase with a polymer and in particular ethylcellulose which is a known film-forming agent to allow a control of the viscosity.
- the perfume / polymer mixture is then adapted to be deposited on a printed medium via a known offset device.
- This fragrance once deposited has the characteristic of being able to dry quickly without requiring heating.
- such a solution is not satisfactory insofar as the migration and / or diffusion of the deposited fragrance are not controlled within the printed medium or between several printed media.
- the patent application JP 9076377 also provides a method of attaching a perfume to a sample.
- a substrate receives an odorant fragrance and the odorant substrate is covered with a membrane that is sealed to the substrate.
- This membrane prevents evaporation or early diffusion of the fragrance deposited when the substrate is stored.
- the release of odorous substances from the substrate is then obtained by a user when the latter removes the membrane from the surface of the substrate.
- such a method does not provide a solution that makes it possible to directly deposit an odorant substance on a printed substrate.
- the storage of the product allows a conservation of the odoriferous substance, the release of this substance remains dependent on the removal of the membrane.
- the patent application US2002 / 0013108 discloses a blotting paper having a first layer of paper or plastic material having a printed outer face and a second highly porous layer attached to the inner face of the first layer by gluing or pressing and impregnated with perfume so as to diffuse a fragrance by friction against the skin.
- This solution is not satisfactory because the perfume can freely migrate between the different layers, thus creating various technical disorders and there is no provision for printing on the blotting layer.
- the patent US 6125614 discloses a laminated page comprising a sheet of backing paper folded and sealed to contain a sample material therein. More specifically, a barrier layer having a material impervious to the sample material, for example PET polymer, is attached to the sheet of backing paper by an adhesive and folded with it, which allows it to have a first lower part and a second part between which the sample material is disposed.
- This laminated page does not allow easy release of the sample material and requires peeling off the fold.
- the part receiving the sample material is not printed and the industrialization of such an invention seems complex to implement.
- the present invention proposes to overcome one or more disadvantages of the prior art and in particular to propose a solution that makes it possible to control the diffusion of an odoriferous substance by controlling its migration while preventing an alteration of its odorous characteristics by the support materials. employees or by the printing processes practiced.
- the present invention also proposes to respond to the problems of industrial production and quality control throughout the production chain, storage and distribution of the product.
- the multilayer composite for diffusing an odorous substance is characterized in that the printable and / or printed support layer is made of cellulose fibers.

The composite of the invention is produced by a superimposed multilayer assembly, arranged to receive and store or trap an odorant substance (4) during storage and during the various stages of industrial manufacture or during the distribution of the products, and to allow its distribution when the leaflet is opened by the final recipient (magazine reader or mail, customer shop ...)
This multilayer assembly is particularly suitable, by way of example but not limited to perfume printed media used in many industries including packaging and cosmetics (manufacturers of cases, boxes and sample cards), those of POS (point-of-sale advertising) and printing (press inserts, addressed or unaddressed advertising, flyers, olfactory marketing) manufacturers.
In particular, it is suitable for making advertising inserts or sample cards to be inserted in the leaflets of a magazine, a magazine and disseminating fragrances associated with a visual product communication printed on the inset or the sample card.
The odorant (4) is volatile and can be a perfume, an essential oil, alone or in combination with a solvent, an aromatic compound, a diluent, a polymer or even a resin.
The odoriferous substance (4) is formulated in the liquid or pasty phase of the oil, cream or gel type, of suitable viscosity such that the odoriferous substance (4) can be deposited in or on the reservoir support absorbent layer (1).
La couche absorbante de support réservoir (1) s'imprègne ainsi de la substance odorante (4) par l'absorption de la substance odorante (4).The absorbent layer of reservoir support (1) thus impregnates the odorant substance (4) by the absorption of the odorant substance (4).
According to a preferred embodiment, this odorous substance (4) covers at least a portion of the surface of the absorbent layer of the reservoir support of the multilayer assembly, by the deposition of a predefined quantity. This deposit can be operated by a coating of all or part of the surface of the reservoir support absorbent layer (1) of the composite.
Preferably, this odorant substance (4) is deposited in the liquid phase.
According to an exemplary embodiment, the odoriferous substance (4) can be integrated by humidification and / or impregnation in the absorbent layer of reservoir support (1) thus allowing the storage and diffusion of the odoriferous substance (4).
Thus arranged, this barrier polymer layer (2) makes it possible to prevent any migration of the odorant substance (4) from the reservoir-reservoir absorbent layer (1) to the printable and / or printed support layer (3).
The second printable and / or printed support layer (3) may be formed of cellulose fiber, or any other type of support likely to be printed. This layer (3) can thus refer to paper or cardboard in its various variants, that is to say from cellulose fibers, to polyester in its various variants.
Par exemple, à titre non limitatif, la couche de support (3) présente un grammage de 100g/m2 à 300g/m2.For example, without limitation, the support layer (3) has a basis weight of 100g / m2 to 300g / m2.
In the context of the invention, the absorbent support-reservoir layer (1) is preferably made from a fabric and / or at least one synthetic fiber polymer.
This woven or non-woven polymer made of synthetic fibers, such as a polyester, does not interact with the odorant (4) and allows automatic cutting with heating knife devices as used, for example, in film coating. or complexing.
Avantageusement, il s'agit d'un polymère non-tissé tel qu'une fibre polyester non-tissé, par exemple, à titre non limitatif, ayant une densité de 50 à 120g/m2.Advantageously, it is a nonwoven polymer such as a nonwoven polyester fiber, for example, without limitation, having a density of 50 to 120 g / m2.
This nonwoven polyester is inert because the fibers are made of synthetic material, which allows it to not be oxidized by the odorant (4).
De façon remarquable, avec un tel polyester non-tissé, et du fait de l'enchevêtrement des fibres non- tissées, la diffusion de la substance odorante (4) peut être de l'ordre de quelques jours à plusieurs semaines à l'air libre selon la quantité déposée et selon la formulation de la substance odorante (4).Remarkably, with such a non-woven polyester, and because of the entanglement of the non-woven fibers, the diffusion of the odorant substance (4) can be of the order of a few days to several weeks in the air free according to the quantity deposited and according to the formulation of the odorant substance (4).
However, this embodiment is not limiting of the invention, the absorbent layer of reservoir-holder may be formed by any material capable of storing and returning an odoriferous substance, which also includes cellulose fibers, acetates cellulose, and / or other polymers.
This operation can be carried out by one or more graining and / or embossing and / or embossing steps. Thus, a particular appearance and feel of the surface of the reservoir-reservoir absorbent layer (1) can be obtained.
Furthermore, although this feature is not limiting of the invention, the material used to form the absorbent support-tank layer (1) is preferably adapted to be printed.
(Infrarouges). In this case, printing inks compatible with the odorant (4) should be used so that they do not interact or alter the odor characteristics of the odorant (4). According to a preferred but non-limiting embodiment of the invention, the printing inks used are of the UV type and are cured by photopolymerization when placed in contact with U.V. radiation (ultraviolet). The drying of the inks can also be operated by I.R. radiation (Infrared).
According to a particular embodiment which is not limiting of the invention, the outer barrier layer (5) is made by a treated polypropylene film.
The treatment of the polypropylene film can be performed by a plasma treatment which allows the deposition and / or activation of certain groups of at least one of the compounds which form the surface of the outer barrier layer (5).
In an alternative embodiment, the polypropylene layer is chemically treated.
Ce vernis pouvant, par exemple, être durci par photo-polymérisation U.V.According to a variant in the embodiment of the invention, the outer barrier layer (5) may be formed by a varnish deposited on the surface of the printable and / or printed support layer (3) which is not in contact with the barrier polymer layer (2). This varnish can, for example, be cured by photopolymerization U.V.
This outer barrier layer (5) may, for example, according to its characteristics, have a surface of the multilayer composite of the invention which is able to be glued against a support. This outer barrier layer (5) can thus be bonded and allows the attachment of the multilayer composite on a support such as, for example and without limitation, a magazine or an advertising element, or a P.L.V type presentation element. (Point of sale advertising).
This hinge axis (6) can be achieved, for example, by creasing or axial folding. Thus, when the reservoir support absorbent layer (1) comprises an odoriferous substance (4), the fold-over covering of the two parts of the face of the reservoir support absorbent layer (1) in one position closed allows to limit or even stop the diffusion of the odoriferous substance (4).
La libération par diffusion de la substance odorante (4) est alors effectuée par un utilisateur qui ouvre et/ou déplie le composite multicouche de l'invention (ouverture du magazine, ouverture de la carte échantillon, ouverture d'un dépliant de marketing direct...).The diffusion release of the odorant substance (4) is then performed by a user who opens and / or unfolds the multilayer composite of the invention (opening the magazine, opening the sample card, opening a direct marketing leaflet. ..).
Thus, the multilayer composite of the invention makes it possible to provide a support for the diffusion of an odorous substance (4) that is able to be associated with a printed visual communication element (text, brand, advertising message, etc.). ) both on the part formed by the printable support layer (3) and on the part formed by the reservoir support absorbent layer (1).
Egalement, le composite multicouche de l'invention permet d'ajouter un effet de toucher particulier sur la partie formée par la couche absorbante de support réservoir (1) compte tenu de la texture fibreuse de la couche absorbante de support réservoir et compte tenu d'une ou plusieurs étapes de mise en relief ayant été pratiquées (grainage, gaufrage, estampage...)Also, the multilayer composite of the invention makes it possible to add a particular touch effect on the part formed by the absorbent layer of reservoir support (1) taking into account the fibrous texture of the absorbent layer of reservoir support and taking into account the one or more relief steps having been practiced (graining, embossing, embossing ...)
Thus formed the absorbent layer of reservoir support (1) allows to awake the three senses of smell, sight and touch.
- a step of fixing (E1), by one of its faces, a barrier polymer layer (2) on the coating forming a reservoir-support absorbent layer (1) intended to receive an odoriferous substance (4) to be diffused , so as to produce a bilayer complex absorbent layer of reservoir support / barrier polymer layer,
- a step of fixing (E2) a printable and / or printed support layer (3) on the face of the barrier polymer layer (2) which is not bonded to the reservoir support absorbent layer (1),
- a deposition step (E6) of an odorant substance (4) on the reservoir-reservoir absorbent layer (1).
The fixing step (E1) of the reservoir-reservoir absorbent layer (1) on the barrier polymer layer (2) is performed by doubling and / or complexing, for example and without limitation by thermo-complexing. Thus, no adhesive substance, which could interact with the odorant (4) impregnating the absorbent layer reservoir-carrier (1) and alter the properties of said odoriferous substance (4), is present between the absorbent layer tank-support (1) and the barrier polymer layer (2)
The fixing step (E2) of the printable and / or printed support layer (3) on the barrier polymer layer (2) is carried out by rolling, laminating, laminating or tacking.
The deposition step (E6) can be carried out by coating, printing and / or impregnating the surface of the reservoir-reservoir absorbent layer (1) with the odorant (4) intended to be diffused. This depositing step may involve printing techniques by screen printing, flexography or offset. These techniques allow a distribution of the odorant substance (4) on all or part of the surface of the absorbent layer of reservoir-tank (1) and allow to vary the amount of odorant (4) deposited.
This printing step (E4) is preferably carried out beforehand at the deposition step (E6) of the odorous substance (4) on the absorbent layer of reservoir-support (1). Depending on the type of process desired, this printing step (E4) can be performed either after the printable support layer (3) is attached to the face of the barrier polymer layer (2) which is not contact with the reservoir-reservoir absorbent layer (1), either before this fixing step (E2).
The multilayer composite being produced, and the odorous substance (4) being optionally deposited (E6), the method may further comprise a shaping step (E8). This shaping step (E8) consists in one or more operations of a list comprising for example a gilding, a cut, a creasing.
Par exemple, à titre non limitatif, il est possible de déposer par ce procédé une quantité de substance odorante de 12 à 20g/m2.According to a first particular embodiment which is not limiting to the principle of the invention, the homogeneity of the distribution and the determination of the surface to be covered by the odorant substance (4) is defined by a screen forming a variable mesh screen (principle similar to the silk screen printing technique). For example, without limitation, it is possible to deposit by this method an amount of odorous substance of 12 to 20g / m2.
Par exemple, à titre non limitatif, il est possible de déposer par ce procédé une quantité de substance odorante (4) de 3 à 10g/m2.According to a second particular embodiment which is not limiting to the principle of the invention, the homogeneity of distribution may also involve an anilox, which is a cylinder having on its peripheral surface various forms of etchings or cavities which according to their respective shapes and volumes and in combination with a blanket, participate in the determination of the amount of odorant substance (4) to be deposited on the absorbent support-tank layer (1) (principle similar to the printing technique flexographic type). For example, without limitation, it is possible to deposit by this method an amount of odorant (4) of 3 to 10g / m2.
The elastomeric surface is positioned in contact with the surface of the reservoir-reservoir absorbent layer (1) (similar principle to the offset type printing technique). For example, without limitation, it is it is possible to deposit by this method an amount of odoriferous substance (4) of the order of one or a few g / m2.
The multilayer composite being produced and optionally printed, and the odorant substance (4) being deposited, the system of the invention allows a transport and storage of the multilayer composite in the form of sheets or flat areas stacked so that the diffusion or migration of the odorant (4) are controlled.
According to a preferred embodiment, the method of the invention also comprises a folding step (E10) of the composite so that a first portion of the outer face (1A) of the reservoir support absorbent layer (1) which is not in contact with the barrier polymer layer (2) covers a second portion of the same outer face (1A) of the reservoir support absorbent layer (1) . Preferably, this folding operation (E10) is performed after the deposition step (E6) of an odorant substance (4) on the composite. Optionally, the deposition step (E6) of the odorant substance (4) on the reservoir support absorbent layer (1) can be performed after all the other manufacturing steps in a point of sale during the distribution or presentation. final multilayer to the customer.
Furthermore, the manufacturing system, allowing the implementation of the method of the invention, can be formed by a single device or a plurality of devices separated from each other. These devices then comprise one or more stations arranged to perform at least one of the various operations or steps of the method of manufacturing the multilayer composite of the invention.
According to a preferred embodiment which is not limiting of the invention, the device also comprises a central unit which allows the coordination of the operation of the various stations of the system. This coordination can concern just two stations as well as all the stations of the system, the central unit can control at least one position of the device.
According to a particular embodiment, the manufacturing system may involve a plurality of coils each of which corresponds to a winding of one of the layers of the multilayer composite before it is integrated into the composite of the invention.
The system of the invention allows unwinding (or unwinding) of these coils arranged to allow the realization of the different successive steps of the method. Thus, the coils of the reservoir-reservoir absorbent layer (1) and the barrier polymer layer (2) are unwound in the first place to allow their attachment (E1) at a common surface. Then, the reel of the printable and / or printed support layer (3) is unwound in order to allow its attachment (E2) to the face of the barrier polymer layer (2) not oriented towards the reservoir-reservoir absorbent layer (1). ). Likewise, depending on the type of composite desired, a coil comprising the coating intended to form the outer barrier layer (5) is also unwound to cover the face of the printable and / or printed support layer (3) located on the non-facing face. oriented towards the barrier polymer layer (2).
Alternatively, this rectilinear blade can be replaced by a punch allowing cutting in a defined format of the composite strip.
Similarly, depending on the composition forming the multilayer composite of the invention, the blade used may be a straight thermal blade that allows a clean and fast cut of the composite by melting while avoiding an undesirable presence of fibers that would come off the composite and come create technical disorders during printing processes. The cut-out composites in the desired format are then recovered and stored as flat areas or sheets manually or by automatic recipe.
The implementation system of the method of the invention comprises a plurality of stations each of which is organized, arranged or designed to operate respectively at least one step of the method of the invention described above. According to a non-limiting embodiment of the invention, the stations of the implementation system of the method of the invention can be positioned on one or more different production sites. The products obtained at each of these stations can then be transported from one site to another so that the process can continue to be implemented. Similarly, the system of the invention can integrate a central unit that allows the management and coordination of at least two system positions in the production of the composite.
