Definitions
- the invention relates to a suction cup terminal and an associated sealed heater.
- the invention finds an application in the field of climatic engineering and, more particularly of residential, commercial or office heating, using the combustion of hydrocarbons, for example natural gas or domestic fuel.
- a sealed heating device conventionally comprises a sealed boiler and a suction cup terminal.
- a boiler is said to be “sealed” when its operation is independent of the air present in the enclosed space in which the boiler is placed. This principle is also called “suction cup”. Unlike other boilers which draw air from the enclosed space where they are located, sealed boilers draw combustion air from an area outside this space.
- the exterior zone is called the “exhaust zone” because of the properties of the zone allowing the evacuation of combustion products from the boiler. The evacuation area is often outside a building.
- the air inlet and the evacuation of combustion products from the boiler are provided by two ducts, most often concentric: the external duct guarantees the supply of air necessary for combustion, the internal duct being used for the combustion. 'evacuation of combustion products.
- a vertical terminal is arranged so that its axis is substantially vertical, for example, on the roof of a building.
- a horizontal terminal connects the boiler to the discharge area by passing through a vertical separation element, for example a wall through which an opening passes. performed by coring. Terminals of this type are experiencing a decrease in placement on the French market, mainly due to two technical problems.
- the horizontal sucker terminals can degrade a wall of the partition member disposed in the exhaust area on the flue product discharge side. This is because the rapid cooling of the combustion products forms condensates which can be deposited or run off along the wall of the separation element.
- the suction cup terminals are not aesthetically suited to be placed on the facade of buildings. Indeed, the visual appearance of horizontal suction cup terminals as well as the presence of a plume are grounds for disinterest in horizontal suction cup terminals.
- the heat loss induced by the external duct passing through the separation element can cause a thermal bridge and degrade the energy performance of the closed space in which the boiler is placed.
- the present invention proposes a suction cup terminal according to claim 1, making it possible to remedy all or part of the aforementioned drawbacks.
- the suction cup terminal object of the invention projects the products of combustion away from the separating element, which reduces the risks of clogging.
- the circular cap improves the aesthetic appearance of the suction cup terminal, in particular when it is placed on the facade of a building.
- the shade of the hat can be matched with the color of the building facade.
- a turbulator is an appropriately shaped element inserted into the tubing of a conduit to increase flow turbulence and increase heat exchange efficiency. This arrangement improves the heat exchange coefficient of the terminal. In addition, the turbulent combustion products exiting the terminal mix faster with ambient air than if they were in laminar flow. The risks of clogging the wall and the plume are thus reduced.
- the suction cup terminal can be sealed in an opening of the separation element with a suitable adhesive mortar.
- the turbulator follows a helical arrangement.
- this arrangement makes it possible to optimize the condensation of the water vapor contained in the fumes.
- a clamping ring which fits concentrically around the outer duct is fixed to a wall of the separation element located in the enclosed space. This arrangement improves the retention of the horizontal suction cup terminal.
- the clamping ring is screwed onto the outer duct. According to this arrangement, the terminal is installed from the evacuation zone and then the tightening is carried out inside the enclosed space.
- the clamping ring is force-fitted to the outer duct. Force mounting can be achieved by adjustment, wedging or by a conical ring.
- the clamping ring is blocked by a system of bayonets.
- the clamp ring compresses a gasket between the securing ring and the wall of the partition member. This arrangement ensures the tightness of the terminal.
- the clamp ring compresses a sleeve disposed around the outer conduit between the clamp ring and the clamp ring. This arrangement ensures better sealing of the terminal, in particular along the outer duct. This arrangement also makes it possible to eliminate the thermal bridge effect of the suction cup terminals of the prior art.
- the sleeve is made of a resilient material.
- Resilient materials are known to be able to deform and then return to their original shape. This arrangement allows a good positioning of the sleeve after the installation of the terminal.
- the sleeve is held by a washer.
- the washer that holds the sleeve allows the terminal to be positioned from the enclosed space.
- the circular cap and the fixing ring are made of resilient materials.
- the cap and ring deform as it passes through the opening of the partition member so that the terminal can be mounted from the enclosed space.
- the hat and the ring When the hat and the ring come out of the opening, they return to their original shape.
- the washer is then positioned in order to stiffen the sleeve.
- the diameter of the washer corresponds to the diameter of the coring produced in the separation element.
- the sleeve is then put in place and tightening is effected by the clamping ring. The maintenance is then ensured by the compressive action of the sleeve.
- the fixing ring, the partition and the cap form a single integral part.
- the definition of monobloc does not exclude prior assembly for technical reasons.
- the invention relates to a sealed heating device comprising a suction cup terminal according to the invention.
- FIG. 1 shows a heating device 20 arranged in an enclosed space 18, for example of the kitchen, bathroom or garage type.
- the heating device 20 comprises a sealed boiler 22.
- An external duct 23 connects the boiler 22 to an evacuation zone 19 by passing through a separation element 21.
- the evacuation zone 19 can simply be outside a building and the separation element 21 can thus correspond to a wall.
- the separation element 21 is, indifferently, called “wall”.
- the figure 1 shows a suction cup terminal 25, here horizontal, connected, on the one hand, to the evacuation zone 19 and, on the other hand, to the boiler 22, by means of an evacuation duct 23 provided, here, an elbow 26.
- the elbow 26 is, however, not necessary when the boiler 22 has a side outlet in the direction of the discharge zone 19.
- terminal 25 can be connected to boiler 22 with a more complex pipe architecture than a simple elbow 26.
- the terminal 25 is, in the evacuation zone 19, pressed against the wall 24 of the wall 21.
- the figures 2 , 3 and 4 illustrate a particular embodiment of the terminal 25.
- the outer duct 23 contains an inner duct 27 suitable for conducting the combustion products from the boiler 22 to the discharge zone 19.
- the outer duct 23 is arranged concentrically around the inner duct 27 , at least at the end of these conduits which open into the evacuation zone 19.
- the internal duct 27 projects from the external duct 23, into the evacuation zone 19.
- the terminal 25 comprises a fixing ring 36, fitting concentrically to the end of the outer duct 23 and being able to be fixed on the wall 24 of the wall 21.
- the terminal 25 also comprises a circular cap 33 fitting, with a side, concentrically at the end of the outer duct 23 and, on the other side, concentrically with the inner duct 27.
- the cap 33 has a central opening 41 which makes it possible to put the inside of the duct 27 in relation to the outside of the terminal, and for example with outside air. This opening 41 thus allows the evacuation of the combustion products at a distance from the separation element, which in particular reduces the risk of fouling.
- Openings 34 for example rectangular, are arranged regularly in a cylindrical partition 35 located between the fixing ring 36 and the cap 33.
- the openings 34 make it possible to provide an inlet for the air 38 circulating in the space 29. between the outer duct 23 and the inner duct 27. It is noted that the space 29 may contain an exchanger (not shown) to promote heat exchange between the combustion air and the combustion products.
- the terminal 25 can be sealed in an opening formed by coring in the wall 21, with a suitable adhesive mortar.
- the fixing ring 36, the partition 35 and the circular cap 33 form, in the embodiment described, a single “one-piece” piece.
- the definition of monobloc does not exclude prior assembly for technical reasons.
- the circular cap 33 makes it possible to improve the aesthetic appearance of the terminal 25, in particular when it is placed on the facade of a building (not shown) as is the case on the figure 3 . Indeed, the color of the cap 33 can then be adapted to the color of the facade of the building.
- a turbulator 28 is preferably housed in the internal duct 27 to improve the heat exchange coefficient and therefore to improve the efficiency of the boiler 22.
- the turbulator 28 follows, in the embodiment shown, a helical arrangement allowing optimization of the heat transfer. diffusion of combustion products into the atmosphere via the central opening 41 of the cap 33.
- the turbulator 28 follows, in the embodiment shown, a helical arrangement allowing optimization of the dilution 32 of the combustion products in the atmosphere via the central opening 41 of the cap 33.
- the figure 5 illustrates an embodiment in which the terminal 25 comprises a clamping ring 40 which fits concentrically to the outer duct 23.
- the clamping ring 40 is fixed to a wall of the wall 21 located in the space 18 containing the boiler 22. This arrangement improves the maintenance of terminal 25.
- connection between the clamping ring 40 and the outer duct 23 may be of the screw and nut type. According to this arrangement, the terminal 25 is installed from the evacuation zone 19. Then the tightening is performed by a user inside the space 18 containing the boiler 22.
- the clamping ring 40 can also be force-fitted on the outer duct 23.
- the press-fit can be achieved by adjustment, wedging or by a conical ring.
- the clamping ring 40 can also be blocked by a system of bayonets.

Description

figure 3 .
