La présente invention se rapporte à un foyer comprenant un dispositif d'étanchéité assurant une étanchéité parfaite entre une porte d'accès à un espace intérieur et le milieu environnant. Il faut noter que le joint étant étanche, les moyens de déformation peuvent utiliser l'effet de gonflement et de dégonflement du joint afin d'assurer respectivement l'application et la libération de ce dernier. Le joint peut être gonflé mécaniquement, soit par la compression d'une partie du joint engendrant le gonflement de la partie périphérique du joint assurant l'étanchéité, soit par l'écrasement d'un piston engendrant ce même gonflement via l'injection d'air au sein du joint. On distingue ainsi dans l'invention les moyens de déformation qui sont configurés pour comprimer au moins une partie du joint et où c'est la partie comprimée qui assure l'étanchéité entre la partie fixe et la partie mobile, et les moyens de déformation qui sont configurés pour entraîner un gonflement d'au moins une partie du joint et où c'est la partie gonflée qui assure l'étanchéité entre la partie fixe et la partie mobile.The fireplace according to the invention comprises a seal permanently attached and sealed on the frame of the access door.   • dans le dispositif d'étanchéité selon le document FR 1 599 189 A , le joint est solidaire d'un cadre mobile qui lui impose un déplacement et un écrasement lors du mouvement de fermeture. Ceci ne permet donc plus au joint une fois appliqué de se déformer et de produire un effet "soupape de sécurité" lorsqu'il est appliqué. Dans le dispositif selon l'invention, sous l'effet d'une augmentation de pression importante dans la chambre générée par exemple par une explosion, la troisième partie du joint peut s'écarter de la vitre pour assurer cet effet "soupape de sécurité". Cet effet est d'autant plus marqué si seule l'extrémité libre de la troisième partie s'applique sur la vitre tel que montré à la figure 4 en position inférieure ;
  • dans le dispositif d'étanchéité selon le document FR 1 599 189 A , le cadre mobile sur lequel le joint est fixé n'est pas étanche par rapport à la porte alors que selon l'invention, le joint est directement fixé et étanche par rapport à la chambre de combustion ;
  • un dispositif avec câble tel que décrit dans le document FR 1 599 189 A n'est pas adapté pour être porté à hautes températures. En effet, l'augmentation de la température en utilisation induirait un allongement du câble de l'ordre de 5 à 10 mm. Cette différence se reporterait au niveau du ressort de traction et conduirait à une différence d'écrasement du joint du même ordre entre les parties de joint situées au niveau des leviers de part et d'autre du ressort de traction.

  • a device with cable as described in the document FR 1 599 189 A is not suitable for wearing at high temperatures. Indeed, the increase in the temperature in use would induce an elongation of the cable of the order of 5 to 10 mm. This difference would refer to the level of the tension spring and lead to a difference in crushing of the seal of the same order between the seal portions located at the levers on either side of the tension spring.

Claims (14)

  1. A hearth comprising a fixed part that frames an opening to a combustion chamber, a moving part across from said opening and a sealing device, said moving part comprising a wall (2) and means for the translational sliding of said wall (2) allowing to free an access to the opening, said hearth being characterized in that the sealing device comprises a seal (5) positioned on the fixed part that frames the opening and means for pressing said seal (5) on the moving part that are configured to be activated only when the opening is obstructed, thereby preventing the rubbing of the seal (5) against the moving part when the wall (2) slides.
  2. The hearth according to Claim 1, characterised in that said pressing means are configured to compress at least part of the seal, said compressed part ensuring the sealing between the fixed part and the moving part.
  3. The hearth according to Claim 1, characterised in that said pressing means are configured to cause the swelling of at least part of the seal, said swollen part ensuring the sealing between the fixed part and the moving part.
  4. The hearth according to Claim 2, characterised in that said pressing means comprise:
    - an applicator frame (7) attached on the perimeter of the fixed part surrounding the opening and designed to compress at least part of the section of the seal (5),
    - two pairs of pivots (14), each of the pairs being secured to a vertical edge of the applicator frame (7), respectively,
    - two rods (13), each of the rods being articulated at its respective ends to a pivot (14) of one of said pairs; the apex of each of the rods (13) being configured to jointly and respectively bear on a stop (16) secured to a vertical edge of the wall (2) and positioned on the face of the moving part across from the fixed part.
  5. The hearth according to Claim 2, characterised in that the pressing means comprise:
    - an applicator frame (7) attached on the perimeter of the fixed part surrounding the opening and designed to compress at least part of the section of the seal (5),
    - a recess (18) arranged in each vertical edge of the applicator frame (7),
    - a caster (17) secured to each vertical edge of the wall (2), said caster (17) being designed to roll on the applicator frame (7) during the sliding of the wall (2) and to be housed in the recess (18) when the opening is obstructed,
    - a spring (19) positioned on the fixed part and designed to exert a force on the applicator frame (7) when the opening is obstructed.
  6. The hearth according to Claim 5, characterised in that the pressing means are configured so that the wall (2) can be slid upward or downward, indifferently.
  7. The hearth according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the pressing means are configured to be activated automatically when the opening is obstructed.
  8. The hearth according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the sealing device comprises a frame (6) for maintaining the seal (5), said frame (6) being positioned on the fixed part and allowing the seal (5) to expand while preserving the sealing of said device.
  9. The hearth according to Claim 8, characterised in that the seal (5) comprises, on its section, a first part (10) inserted into the maintaining frame (6), a second part (11) designed to be compressed by the applicator frame (7) and a third part (12) designed to be pressed at least partially on the wall (2) during the compression of the second part (11) by the applicator frame (7).
  10. The hearth according to Claim 9, characterised in that the second part (11) has a tubular shape.
  11. The hearth according to Claim 9 or 10, characterised in that the third part (12) is configured so that only its free end is pressed on the wall (2) during the compression of the second part (11) by the applicator frame (7).
  12. The hearth according to any one of Claims 8 to 11, characterised in that thermal insulators (9) are positioned between inner surfaces of the combustion chamber and/or between an inner surface of the combustion chamber and the maintaining frame (6) to limit the heating of the seal (5).
  13. The hearth according to Claim 12, characterised in that the sliding means of the wall (2), a housing for the seal (5), the pressing means of the seal (5) and the thermal insulators (9) are concealed behind an outer frame (4) of the moving part.
  14. The hearth according to Claim 13, characterised in that an inner trim (3) of the combustion chamber and the outer frame (4) form a continuous line only broken by the wall (2).
