Abstract

Beschrieben wird eine Vorrichtung zum Zusammenfügen von Buchblock (2) und Buchdecke (20), mit einer Fördereinrichtung (14), die ausgebildet ist, einen im Wesentlichen aufrecht ausgerichteten Buchblock (2) mit seinem Rücken (2a) voran von einer unteren Stellung (IV) in eine obere Stellung (X) anzuheben, einer Klebstoffauftragsstation (24) zum Auftragen von Klebstoff auf die Außenseiten des Buchblocks (2), wobei die erste Fördereinrichtung (14) und die Klebstoffauftragsstation (24) derart ausgebildet und zueinander angeordnet sind, dass die Klebstoffauftragsstation (24) Klebstoff auf die Außenseiten des Buchblockes (2) aufträgt, während die erste Fördereinrichtung (14) den Buchblock (2) aufwärts durch die Klebstoffauftragsstation (24) bewegt, einer Anlegestation (18), die ausgebildet ist, eine Buchdecke (20) in flächig ausgebreiteter Form winklig zur Vertikalen, vorzugsweise etwa horizontal, oberhalb der Klebstoffauftragsstation (24) anzuordnen und so auszurichten, dass die Fördereinrichtung (14) den Buchblock (2) nach Verlassen der Klebstoffauftragsstation (24) mit seinem Rücken gegen die Unterseite der Buchdecke (20) bewegt, so dass der Rücken (2a) des Buchblocks (2) in Anlage an einen die Buchdecke (20) in zwei Hälften (20c) unterteilenden Mittenabschnitt (20b) der Buchdecke (20) gelangt, einer oberhalb der Klebstoffauftragsstation (24) angeordneten Fügestation (28), die ausgebildet ist, bei fortgesetzter Aufwärtsbewegung des Buchblockes durch die Fördereinrichtung (14) in die obere Stellung X ein Verkleben der Buchdecke (20) mit ihren beiden Hälften (20c) an die beiden Seiten des Buchblockes zu bewirken, und einer Entnahmestation (50), die ausgebildet ist, den mit der Buchdecke (20) versehenen Buchblock (2) zu entfernen. Das Besondere der Erfindung besteht darin, dass die Entnahmestation (50) unterhalb der Klebstoffauftragsstation (24) angeordnet ist, die Fördereinrichtung (14) ferner ausgebildet ist, den mit der Buchdecke (20) versehenen Buchblock (2) nach Erreichen der Fügestation (28) im Wesentlichen einer Bewegungsrichtungsumkehr zu unterwerfen und im Wesentlichen in derselben vertikalen Ebene (Z) zwischen der unteren Stellung (VI) und der oberen Stellung (X) anzuheben und abzusenken, und die Klebstoffauftragsstation (24) ferner ausgebildet ist, die Abgabe von Klebstoff während der Abwärtsbewegung des mit der Buchdecke (20) versehenen Buchblockes (2) zu deaktivieren.
