- the closure cap can also be inserted with its bottom facing down into the opening, so that its shell function can be used.
- the work plate preferably has a rectangular shape.
- the work plate can also have an L-shaped shape, with each edge length based on the grid dimension, so that with the help of several pairs of legs and associated cross struts an L-shaped work table can be assembled.
- the basic modules can also be assembled with supplementary modules in such a way that a work table with a Z-shaped worktop can be created, whereby the worktop can also consist of several individual worktops.
- the cross struts can have different lengths, with a shortest cross strut having a length corresponding to the grid dimension. Longer cross struts have a length which corresponds to a multiple of the grid size plus a multiple of the width of one leg reduced by one. For example, the next larger cross strut has a length of two pitches plus the width of one leg.
- the cross struts can be formed by L-profiles which have screw-on tabs at their respective ends.
- Both the legs and the cross struts preferably consist of metal and particularly preferably of steel.
- the fastening straps of the cross struts can have a fastening opening through which a connecting screw can be inserted, which can be screwed into a corresponding internal thread on one leg or on a vertical strut.
- a protrusion can protrude from the end face of the cross strut and in particular from the screw-on tab, which can enter into a corresponding latching opening in the outer wall of the leg.
- the protrusion can be formed as an expression, the protrusion is preferred but formed by the head of a screw which is screwed into a thread which is located on the end face of the cross strut.
- this screw which forms the anti-rotation device, is screwed into the outer wall of the leg, which has an internal thread at the corresponding point.
- the head then enters a recess in the end face of the cross strut.
- the legs are preferably formed by square tubes, which have a square outline.
- stiffening angles can be provided, which form two screw-on flanges which are at right angles to one another and which can be fastened on the one hand to a side wall of the leg and on the other hand to the underside of the work plate.
- the side walls of the legs are provided with a multiplicity of internal threads or fastening bores which are arranged on the basis of the grid dimension or in such a way that height units are formed.
- connection points at which the cross struts can be connected to the legs are thus arranged such that an uppermost connection point defines a height unit to the underside of the work plate. If a cross strut is connected to the leg at this uppermost connection point, a free space is formed between the top of the cross strut and the underside of the work plate, the clearance of which corresponds to a vertical unit of height.
- the legs also have a lowermost connection point that is closest to the feet. If a cross strut is connected to the leg at this connection point, a space is formed between the top cross strut and the bottom cross strut, the clear vertical height of which corresponds to a single or integer multiple of the height unit. Drawers can be inserted in the upper or lower spaces.
- the drawers can have a substantially square base, which corresponds to the grid dimension.
- the heights of the drawers correspond to the height units, with drawers also having a half height unit or a third height unit can be provided, which can be used in particular in the upper space between the underside of the work plate and the top of the top cross strut.

- each drawer can also be used as a separate container. In particular, it can be closed with a lid.
- the drawer can have a recess on the front. This can be formed in that the front of the drawer has a reduced height. If the drawer is used as a drawer, this recess can be filled with a cover so that the front of the drawer reaches its full height.
- the panel can have a writing field or an information carrier. When using the drawer as a container, this front recess can also be closed by an extension of the lid.
- the lid is preferably hinged to the drawer.
- the rear wall of the drawer can form hinge openings, in particular on its upper side, into which the hinge extensions of the lid can be inserted.
- the bottom of the drawer is preferably curved upwards in the center, so that the bottom of the drawer is given increased stability.
- Stabilizing ribs can also be used be provided on the outside of the drawer and in particular on the outside of the walls.
- the side walls can be inserted into the space between the legs of a pair of legs. They therefore have a width that corresponds to the grid dimension.
- the height of the side wall corresponds to the simple or a multiple of a height unit.
- the underside of a side wall can form a C-profile with which it can be placed on a cross strut.
- the side wall can have fastening tabs, with which in particular the top of the side wall can be connected to the legs. This is preferably done by means of screws that can be screwed into the internal thread of the respective leg.
- the side wall can form inner or outer support ribs running parallel to the upper edge or parallel to the lower edge, on which a drawer can be guided or a shelf can be inserted.
- the side panels can also be used as back panels or front panels.
- a door leaf is provided which can be articulated between two cross struts.
- An uppermost side wall can have a top rib, the width of which corresponds to the spacing of the two profile sections of the frame running parallel to one another, so that the top rib is fixed lying in the space between the frames.
- Feet are inserted into the front end openings of the legs, which preferably have a square square profile.
- the feet can also have rollers.
- extension elements can also be inserted into the lower front openings of the legs, into which the feet are in turn inserted.
- the extension elements themselves can take over the function of feet. They then have an opening on their downward-facing end face into which another foot can be inserted. By nesting several extension elements or feet together thus the height of the worktop can be adjusted.
- the invention also relates to a carrier for an additional tool, which has, for example, the shape of a cuboid base.
- a vice for example, can be mounted on this cuboid base.
- a fastening pin protrudes from the underside of the carrier.
- the fastening pin can have a cross section adapted to the tubular profile of the leg. It is a square cross section.
- the fastening pin can be designed as a piece of pipe with end slots. This fastening pin is inserted into the front opening of the leg located below the opening of the work plate.
- the leg carries a clamping device with which the attachment extension can be clamped to the leg.
- the fastening pin can be an eccentric clamping element, which clamps the fastening pin to the leg with a clamping body which projects through one of the slots.
- the fastening pin is made of steel.
- the drawers mentioned above and the side walls can be made of plastic.
- the drawers can also be equipped with castors, so that several stacked drawers form a roll container that can be moved under the work surface between the legs.
- the rolls are preferably arranged on the underside of the drawer in such a way that drawers provided with rolls can also be stacked one inside the other.
- the work plate can be enlarged with one or more additional plates, the additional plates with connecting plates in the form of connecting plates being connectable to one another or to a main work plate.
- the connecting plates are screwed to the edges of the undersides of the work plates and form oblique fastening openings.
- the fastening openings are herringbone assigned to each other, so that by moving the already with the fastening plate connected to one another, a tension can be built up on the joint between the work plates.

- a cross strut 9 which is formed by an L-shaped steel profile, which is welded to one of the two legs 3 with its two ends.
- the two upper ends of the two legs 3 are connected to one another by means of L-shaped steel profile elements.
- a frame 5 is thus formed.
- the L-shaped profile elements are welded to the legs 3 'with profile legs 5' in the edge area, so that a space is formed between the two profile legs 5 'running in the vertical direction.
- a head rib 37 of a side part 35 can be fixed in this free space (see Figure 16 ).
- the two profile legs of the L-profile body which extend in the horizontal direction, form fastening flanges 5 which have fastening bores 7 'at standardized intervals.
- the mounting flanges are flush on a common plane.
- the side walls of the legs 3 are provided with a multiplicity of fastening bores 7, some of which have an internal thread.
- the mounting holes 7 are arranged on each of the four outer sides of a leg 3 in such a way that one of the in the Figures 5, 5a shown cross struts 9, 10 can be screwed to the legs 3.
- Lower cross struts and upper cross struts can thus be screwed to the legs. This then results in the Figure 8 Distance dimension shown, according to which the top of the upper cross strut is spaced by one height unit HE from the underside of the work plate 1 and the top of the lower cross strut is spaced from the underside of the upper cross strut by three height units HE.
- the hole pattern shown shows fastening holes 6 into which wood screws can be screwed and which correspond in their position to the positions of the fastening bores 7 'of the fastening flanges 5.
- the hole pattern is designed in such a way that a pair of legs 2 can be fastened along the narrow sides of the work plate 1, this being done using wood screws which can be screwed through the connecting bores 7 ′ into the predrilled holes 6.
- Further holes 6 are also provided in the middle of the plate, with the aid of which a middle pair of legs can be fastened to the underside of the work plate.

- the vertical axis is located in the insertion section 20, with which the foot 19 can be inserted into the front opening of a leg.
- the Figures 14, 14a show an extension piece 21 which, like the feet 17, 18, 19, consists of plastic.
- the extension piece 21 has an insertion section 20 with which it can be inserted into the front opening of the leg 3.
- the opposite side of the extension piece 21 has an end opening, the cross section of which corresponds to that of the leg 3, so that in the insertion opening 20 opposite the insertion section of the extension piece 21 a further extension piece (see Figure 14a ) or a foot 18 can be inserted with an insertion section 20.
- the table top shown has a circular opening 22 on one of its two narrow sides, which forms a passage window.
- the opening 22 is arranged in relation to the hole pattern 6 in such a way that the legs 3 of a pair of legs 2 are located directly below the opening 22.
- the diameter of the opening 22 is slightly larger than the diagonal dimension of the square front opening 23 of the leg 3.
- the opening 22 can optionally be left or right or even rear or front by suitable rotation orientation of the work plate 1 relative to the frame to be ordered.
- the frame is formed by the pairs of legs 2 connected by means of cross struts 9, 10.
- FIG. 19 shows in detail a tool carrier 42 in the form of a cuboid base, which in the assembled state rests on the work side of the work plate.
- a vice 16 is mounted on the top of the base 42.
- a fastening pin 24 which extends in the vertical direction and has a square cross section which is dimensioned such that the fastening pin 24 can be inserted into the front opening 23.
- the mounting pin 24 also has central, towards the end open slots through which a tension pin 45 which is provided with a pressure piece 46 extends in the assembled state.
- a tensile force can be applied to the pull pin 45 so that the pressure piece 46 presses the fastening pin 24 against an inner wall of the leg 3.
- the tensile force is applied by a lever 43 which is supported on the outer wall of the leg 3 by a spiral surface 44. If the lever 34 is pivoted through 90 °, the pull pin 45 is slightly pulled out of the leg 3.
- the unused opening 22 can with a in the Figure 20 closure cap 26 shown are closed.
- the closure cap 26 is made of plastic and has a cup shape.
- the closure cap 26 can be inserted with its openings facing downward into the opening 22 from above.
- the edge of the closure cap 26 is supported on the front side of the leg 3.
- the then upward-pointing outer bottom surface of the closure cap 26 then runs flush in the work plate 1.
- closure cap 26 can also be inserted into the opening 22 with its opening facing upwards. It can then be used as a storage tray for small parts.
- a permanent magnet 27 is enclosed in the bottom area of the closure cap 26, with which small ferromagnetic parts can be held. Small ferromagnetic parts can, however, also be held on the closure cap 26 if it is inserted with its opening facing downward into the opening 22.
- the elements from which the work tables shown in the drawings consist are made available as a kit, so that the user can assemble the work table from the basic elements and the additional elements. It is not even necessary that a work plate 1 belongs to the kit. It is sufficient if the kit is assigned a drilling template with which the hole pattern with the grid dimension can be drilled into the underside of a work plate. It is further contemplated that a kit comprising only basic elements can be combined with supplementary kits, the supplementary kits having, for example, drawers 11, 12, 13, cross struts 9, 10, side walls 14, 35 or door leaf 15.
- a basic kit has a work plate 1 and leg modules in the form of two pairs of legs 2, in which the base plate has no hole pattern. Then this basic kit contains the drilling template already mentioned, which is not shown in the drawings, but whose hole pattern is that of Figure 4 corresponds.
- the drilling template can consist of a folded sheet of paper which, when unfolded, has a drilling pattern like that Figure 4 shows. This template can be placed on the underside of the work plate 1 and fixed to it. Drill holes for screwing in wood screws at the marked points.
- an additional kit includes a tool carrier 42, optionally with an associated additional tool 16.
- Recognizable holes 34 are arranged in a standardized grid of holes, so that hooks or retaining brackets can be hung there, so that objects and in particular tools can be attached to the side walls 14.
- the illustrated embodiment shows how a work table with a total of four legs 3 can be supplemented with a basic equipment or an expanded basic equipment with additional supplementary plates 1 '.
- Supplementary plates 1 ' can be attached both on the narrow side of the work plate 1 and on the broad side of the work plate 1.
- a T-shaped or L-shaped work plate can be assembled by connecting several work plates 1, 1 'to one another. Additional legs 3, which are formed in particular by a pair of legs 2, can be screwed on under the supplementary plates 1 ′. These additional legs 3 can in turn be connected to further legs 3 with the aid of cross struts 9.
- the Figures 21 , 22 also show that the worktop 1 can also be extended to the rear of the worktable, here too the additional worktops 1 'are supported by additional legs 3 of a pair of legs 2, which in turn is connected to the basic module of the worktable by cross struts 9.
- a supplementary plate 1 ' is shown, which is not supported by a pair of legs 2.
- This supplementary plate 1 ' can, for example, be fastened to a wall of a room with the aid of a fastening bracket (not shown).
- connection plates 60 have a total of four fastening openings 61 which are designed as elongated holes.

- the two work plates 1, 1 'thus connected to one another then lie loosely against one another.
- a hammer blow can be exerted on an angled section, which forms a striking edge 62, so that the connecting screws are displaced in the elongated holes. This is associated with a reduction in their distance, so that a clamping force can be exerted on the work plates fastened together by means of this hammer blow.
- the Figures 26, 27 show a development of a drawer 12.
- at least one drawer 12 has rollers 63 attached.
- the rollers 63 can be pivoted about a vertical axis, so that a plurality of drawers 12 stacked one on top of the other Mobile container can be put together as it is in the Figure 27 is shown.
- the rollers 63 are fastened to the underside of the drawer 12 in such a way that drawers 12 provided with rollers 63 can be stacked one inside the other.

The object of the invention is to further develop a workbench, which is provided in particular as a kit, in a manner which is advantageous in terms of use, and to propose a holder for an additional tool for this purpose.
The object is achieved by the invention specified in the claims, it being initially and essentially proposed that the work plate has an opening which can be closed by a closure cap inserted into the opening and which is arranged above an end opening of the leg formed by a tube . A fastening pin of a carrier of an additional tool can be fixed in the opening.
It is further provided that the basic elements comprise a drilling template for producing a hole pattern on the underside of a work plate and / or a work plate with a hole pattern on the underside and pairs of legs which can be fastened on the underside of the work plate. These are by means of the connecting elements, the threaded elements, for example screws and nuts respectively May have screws and internal thread, but can be fastened there at predetermined connection points, at least in a predetermined spacing based on a grid dimension. The pairs of legs each have two interconnected legs, the spacing of which defines the grid dimension. The supplementary elements have dimensions that are also based on the grid dimension. The pairs of legs form basic elements. They are formed by two legs extending parallel to each other, which are created using a Cross bracing are connected. This cross strut can be formed by a frame which forms one or more fastening flanges with which the pair of legs can be fastened to the underside of the work table. The distance between the two legs of a pair of legs forms the grid dimension. The two pairs of legs are each assigned to a narrow side of a rectangular work plate. Cross struts are provided, with each of which two legs of two pairs of legs which are different from one another can be connected to one another. The cross struts extend in a horizontal arrangement and preferably run parallel to the long sides of the work plate. It is also provided that a work plate has a third pair of legs, which is located between the two pairs of legs each running along the narrow sides. The distance between the individual pairs of legs arranged parallel to each other is based on the grid dimension. The legs can have a distance that corresponds exactly to the grid dimension. However, it is also possible for the pairs of legs to be at a distance from one another which corresponds to n times the grid dimension plus n - 1 times the grid dimension. Where n is a natural number> 1. As a result, spaces are formed between the individual pairs of legs which have a width corresponding to the grid dimension and which are bounded either by the legs of a pair of legs or by vertical struts. Accordingly, it is provided that the cross struts not only have a length corresponding to the grid dimension, but also have a length such that limited spaces can be formed above or below legs or vertical struts, the horizontal width of which corresponds to the grid dimension. In addition to the cross struts, the supplementary elements also include one or more further pairs of legs, one or more drawers, one or more side walls, or a door leaf with which an intermediate space can be closed. The workbench according to the invention is preferably available as a kit, with a basic kit only has the basic elements and possibly one or more supplementary elements. Different kits can be assembled, each with the basic elements and different supplementary elements. Different kits can also differ in different sized and different designed work plates. In the simplest case, a kit contains only the two pairs of legs and connecting elements such as screws or the like, with which the two pairs of legs can be fastened to the underside of a work plate. Such a kit, which does not contain a work plate, however, contains a drilling template in order to drill holes in the hole pattern in the underside of a separate work plate. A differently designed basic kit contains, in addition to the pairs of legs, a work plate, which is provided on its underside with the hole pattern, which is identical to the hole pattern of the drilling template. Drawers are available in different assemblies. However, additional kits are also provided which have drawers, side walls or door leaves with which a work table according to the invention can be supplemented. These retrofit kits are designed in such a way that a workbench that has already been assembled and has the elements of basic equipment does not have to be disassembled in order to supplement it. The work table according to the invention is thus preferably designed in such a way that it can be expanded with the aid of supplementary kits without having to disassemble the already assembled work table. A fully equipped workbench, which has a plurality of drawers, side walls, rear walls and a door leaf or one or more of these elements in another combination, can be assembled using a basic kit and several supplementary kits. It is essential that the individual elements of the basic kit and the supplementary kits have dimensions that are based on the grid dimension, which is determined by the distance between the two legs of a pair of legs is determined by the hole pattern. The drawers have a width that corresponds to the grid dimension, so that one or more drawers can be inserted one above the other in the spaces between two adjacent pairs of legs or adjacent vertical struts. The drawers can be connected to the vertical struts or the legs of the pairs of legs using telescopic guide rails. However, it is also provided that the side walls have support ribs or the like on one or preferably both sides, on which the edges of the drawers can rest. Intermediate shelves can also be placed on these supporting ribs. It is further provided that one or more additional tools can be attached to the work table. The additional tools can be attached to the work table using a clamping device. For example, a mounting base or a support can be provided, which can be attached to the work plate or the frame consisting of the elements described above. Such an additional tool can be part of an additional kit. The work plate preferably has two openings which are located where there is a leg below the work plate, so that a fastening pin of an additional tool carrier can be inserted through the opening of the work plate into an end opening of the leg, where the fastening pin with the frame or can be attached to the leg. Each pair of legs preferably has two legs firmly connected with a frame. The legs can also be connected to a cross strut near their feet. The frame can be fastened to the underside of the worktop by means of a fastening element and with the aid of screws. The frame with which the two legs are connected to one another at their upper ends is preferably formed from two L-shaped sheets. The two L-shaped sheets are welded to the two legs at a distance from one another, so that angle legs of the L-profile parts pointing away from one another form the fastening flanges with which the pair of legs can be attached to the underside of the worktop. For this purpose, the mounting flanges have mounting holes through which the connecting elements, in particular formed by wood screws, can be screwed. The underside of the work plate has a hole pattern, which consists of a large number of holes, which are arranged according to the grid dimension. For example, holes in the hole pattern correspond to the fastening bores of the fastening flanges, so that the pairs of legs belonging to the basic elements can be fastened parallel to the narrow sides of the work plate at a distance corresponding to the grid dimension. The hole pattern has further holes with which the supplementary elements, for example a further pair of legs arranged in the middle, can be fastened to the underside of the work plate. Alternatively, a drilling template can be provided, with the aid of which the holes corresponding to the hole pattern can be drilled into the underside of the work plate. For work tables in which the narrow side is shorter than the long side, it is provided in particular that the distance between the pairs of legs attached to the underside of the work plate corresponds to a multiple of the grid size plus the multiple of the width of the leg of a pair of legs reduced by one. The openings of the work plate already mentioned above can be closed with a closure cap. In that two openings are provided in the work plate, which are located at adjacent corners, the additional tool can be attached to the left or to the right side of the work plate. Accordingly, the worktop must be connected to the pairs of legs that each form a leg module. The sealing cap can be made of plastic. The opening can have a circular cross section. The cap also has a circular cross section. The closure cap can be hollow and can be used as a shell. There can be a magnet in the bottom of the bowl, so that ferromagnetic small parts can be kept in the shell. The bottom of the sealing cap can be inserted into the opening so that the back of the base is flush with the work plane of the worktop. However, the closure cap can also be inserted with its bottom facing down into the opening, so that its shell function can be used. The work plate preferably has a rectangular shape. The work plate can also have an L-shaped shape, with each edge length based on the grid dimension, so that with the help of several pairs of legs and associated cross struts an L-shaped work table can be assembled. In further variants, the basic modules can also be assembled with supplementary modules in such a way that a work table with a Z-shaped worktop can be created, whereby the worktop can also consist of several individual worktops. The cross struts can have different lengths, with a shortest cross strut having a length corresponding to the grid dimension. Longer cross struts have a length which corresponds to a multiple of the grid size plus a multiple of the width of one leg reduced by one. For example, the next larger cross strut has a length of two pitches plus the width of one leg. The cross struts can be formed by L-profiles which have screw-on tabs at their respective ends. Both the legs and the cross struts preferably consist of metal and particularly preferably of steel. The fastening straps of the cross struts can have a fastening opening through which a connecting screw can be inserted, which can be screwed into a corresponding internal thread on one leg or on a vertical strut. To prevent rotation, a protrusion can protrude from the end face of the cross strut and in particular from the screw-on tab, which can enter into a corresponding latching opening in the outer wall of the leg. The protrusion can be formed as an expression, the protrusion is preferred but formed by the head of a screw which is screwed into a thread which is located on the end face of the cross strut. However, it is also provided that this screw, which forms the anti-rotation device, is screwed into the outer wall of the leg, which has an internal thread at the corresponding point. The head then enters a recess in the end face of the cross strut. The legs are preferably formed by square tubes, which have a square outline. Furthermore, stiffening angles can be provided, which form two screw-on flanges which are at right angles to one another and which can be fastened on the one hand to a side wall of the leg and on the other hand to the underside of the work plate. The side walls of the legs are provided with a multiplicity of internal threads or fastening bores which are arranged on the basis of the grid dimension or in such a way that height units are formed. The connection points at which the cross struts can be connected to the legs are thus arranged such that an uppermost connection point defines a height unit to the underside of the work plate. If a cross strut is connected to the leg at this uppermost connection point, a free space is formed between the top of the cross strut and the underside of the work plate, the clearance of which corresponds to a vertical unit of height. The legs also have a lowermost connection point that is closest to the feet. If a cross strut is connected to the leg at this connection point, a space is formed between the top cross strut and the bottom cross strut, the clear vertical height of which corresponds to a single or integer multiple of the height unit. Drawers can be inserted in the upper or lower spaces. The drawers can have a substantially square base, which corresponds to the grid dimension. The heights of the drawers correspond to the height units, with drawers also having a half height unit or a third height unit can be provided, which can be used in particular in the upper space between the underside of the work plate and the top of the top cross strut. The drawers can be guided using the guide rails mentioned above. The guide rails can be telescopic guide rails with which the drawers can be pulled out of the spaces to one hundred percent of their depth. However, it is also possible to guide the drawers along guide ribs which are formed, for example, from side walls. As a result of the essentially square base area of the drawers, several drawers can be stacked one on top of the other. The outer walls of the drawers in the area near the floor can form shoulders that can be supported on the edge of the drawer underneath. The edge of a drawer can be designed as a handle. For example, it can be U-shaped in cross section. In a development of the invention, each drawer can also be used as a separate container. In particular, it can be closed with a lid. The drawer can have a recess on the front. This can be formed in that the front of the drawer has a reduced height. If the drawer is used as a drawer, this recess can be filled with a cover so that the front of the drawer reaches its full height. The panel can have a writing field or an information carrier. When using the drawer as a container, this front recess can also be closed by an extension of the lid. The lid is preferably hinged to the drawer. For this purpose, the rear wall of the drawer can form hinge openings, in particular on its upper side, into which the hinge extensions of the lid can be inserted. The bottom of the drawer is preferably curved upwards in the center, so that the bottom of the drawer is given increased stability. Stabilizing ribs can also be used be provided on the outside of the drawer and in particular on the outside of the walls. The side walls can be inserted into the space between the legs of a pair of legs. They therefore have a width that corresponds to the grid dimension. The height of the side wall corresponds to the simple or a multiple of a height unit. The underside of a side wall can form a C-profile with which it can be placed on a cross strut. This results in a positive connection between the underside of the side wall and the cross strut. In addition, the side wall can have fastening tabs, with which in particular the top of the side wall can be connected to the legs. This is preferably done by means of screws that can be screwed into the internal thread of the respective leg. The side wall can form inner or outer support ribs running parallel to the upper edge or parallel to the lower edge, on which a drawer can be guided or a shelf can be inserted. The side panels can also be used as back panels or front panels. In addition, a door leaf is provided which can be articulated between two cross struts. An uppermost side wall can have a top rib, the width of which corresponds to the spacing of the two profile sections of the frame running parallel to one another, so that the top rib is fixed lying in the space between the frames. Feet are inserted into the front end openings of the legs, which preferably have a square square profile. The feet can also have rollers. Instead of the feet, extension elements can also be inserted into the lower front openings of the legs, into which the feet are in turn inserted. In a preferred embodiment, the extension elements themselves can take over the function of feet. They then have an opening on their downward-facing end face into which another foot can be inserted. By nesting several extension elements or feet together thus the height of the worktop can be adjusted. The invention also relates to a carrier for an additional tool, which has, for example, the shape of a cuboid base. A vice, for example, can be mounted on this cuboid base. However, it is also possible to attach different types of tools, for example grinding or drilling tools, to such a base. A fastening pin protrudes from the underside of the carrier. The fastening pin can have a cross section adapted to the tubular profile of the leg. It is a square cross section. The fastening pin can be designed as a piece of pipe with end slots. This fastening pin is inserted into the front opening of the leg located below the opening of the work plate. The leg carries a clamping device with which the attachment extension can be clamped to the leg. It can be an eccentric clamping element, which clamps the fastening pin to the leg with a clamping body which projects through one of the slots. The fastening pin is made of steel. The drawers mentioned above and the side walls can be made of plastic. The drawers can also be equipped with castors, so that several stacked drawers form a roll container that can be moved under the work surface between the legs. The rolls are preferably arranged on the underside of the drawer in such a way that drawers provided with rolls can also be stacked one inside the other. The work plate can be enlarged with one or more additional plates, the additional plates with connecting plates in the form of connecting plates being connectable to one another or to a main work plate. The connecting plates are screwed to the edges of the undersides of the work plates and form oblique fastening openings. The fastening openings are herringbone assigned to each other, so that by moving the already with the fastening plate connected to one another, a tension can be built up on the joint between the work plates.
