Description

The invention relates to a water-bearing household appliance having a first container in which water is intended to be deposited, this partial air in the first container replaces a second container which is intended to store the water by this air present in the second container partially replaced, and a connected to the first container and the second container water pipe, through which the water from the first container to the second container is conveyed back, and with means for generating a pressure difference between the air in the first container and the air in the second container, wherein due to the pressure difference, the water can be conveyed via the water line from the first container to the second container. The invention also relates to a method for conveying water in such a household appliance.

Such a household appliance is apparent from the US 2003/0079368 A1 , There is described a flat material dryer in which the material to be dried is placed in a closed chamber and placed under a vacuum by means of a vacuum pump in which water acts as a sealing medium. Then the material is heated and evaporated water is evaporated. The resulting vapor is condensed again off the material. The resulting water reaches the vacuum pump and from there to a collection container.

In the present case, the interest is in particular a condensate dryer. Such is for example from the document WO 2008/119611 A1 known. It uses a condensate water to clean a heat exchanger. The condensate water is obtained from the drying of wet laundry and collected in a tub, which is below the heat exchanger. The condensate water is led out of the tub to a water tank located above the heat exchanger. Then, the condensate water can be discharged from the water tank to the heat exchanger, namely, for example, by a sudden opening of a valve of the water tank.

Usually, the condensate water in the bottom of a Kondenswäschetrockners, because the heat exchanger in which the condensate water is formed from steam, which was formed by the action of warm process air on the laundry to be dried and discharged from the process air, is usually below the drum, in which the drying laundry is inserted, arranged. The condensate water is then to a water tank, which is easily accessible for an operator located above and arranged laterally of the drum, promoted, via a water pipe. As a rule, a rotating pump is used for this purpose. This pump may be blocked by long hair and lint, and may cause the pump to fail. This fact is particularly disadvantageous in the case of such a household appliance in which the condensate water tub and its surroundings are inaccessible to an operator. Mentioned at this point, for example, a condenser dryer with a heat pump.

It is an object of the invention to provide a solution, as in a household appliance of the type mentioned the water can be promoted particularly reliable over the water pipe to the water tank.

This object is achieved by a domestic appliance and by a method with the features according to respective independent claim. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims and the following description. Preferred embodiments of the domestic appliance thereby correspond to preferred embodiments of the method and vice versa, and this even if it is not explicitly indicated herein.

An inventive water-conducting household appliance with a first container in which water is intended to fall; said air partially replacing air present in the first tank, a second tank intended to store the water by partly replacing air present in the second tank, and a water pipe connected to the first tank and the second tank, via which the Water is conveyed from the first container to the second container, has means for generating a pressure difference between the air in the first container and the air in the second container, wherein due to the pressure difference, the water through the water line from the first container to the second container to be conveyed is, as well as means for generating a pressure difference between the air in the first container and the air in the second container, wherein due to the pressure difference, the water is conveyed through the water line from the first container to the second container.

Thus, according to the invention, a pressure difference is generated, due to which the water is sucked in via the water line to the second container. The water pipe can thus manage without a pump, as used in the prior art for conveying the water. Thus, in the water pipe no mechanical components, such as pump rotors, pistons, valves and the like, and it can in principle all (which fits through the water pipe) are conveyed through the water pipe, namely in particular hair and lint. In particular, lumps of hair and lint can be conveyed through the water pipe up to a thickness corresponding to the clear width of the water pipe. If no pump is used in the water line, there will be no failure of such a pump, as they may occur in a domestic appliance of the prior art. It thus increases the life and the life of the entire household appliance; the operator does not have to clean a pump, especially since access to such is usually not always available or is not readily available to a non-specialist operator. In addition, there is in a water pipe in which there is no pump, from the outset, no formation of nuggets or clumps of long-fiber particles such as hair and other lint, thus avoiding difficulties such as clogging of the line or a pump from the outset.

In a properly established household appliance, the water is preferably conveyed to the water tank upwards. This means that the water tank in the household appliance is preferably located above another container, from which the water is to be conveyed via the water pipe to the water tank.

It is understood that "water" herein is not to be understood as meaning a unique name of a chemical compound, but basically includes any liquid that can usually be found in such a household appliance. It is also within the scope of the invention that the water further dissolved or suspended Contain ingredients, such as detergent residues and lint, which were replaced during drying of laundry items in the domestic appliance of these items of laundry, have first been deposited on any component of the domestic appliance and then absorbed by the incurred as condensate water.

It is also to be understood that by "air" is meant any mixture of gases which can usually be found in an environment and inside a domestic appliance, rather than just a specific mixture of nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide and some others, only in traces of existing gases.

Furthermore, in the domestic appliance according to the invention, the first container is open to an environment of the domestic appliance, and the means for generating a negative pressure are determined relative to an ambient pressure in air surrounding the domestic appliance in the second container. In this preferred domestic appliance, the water is conveyed by generating a negative pressure in the second container relative to the ambient pressure, and by this negative pressure, the water is sucked from the first container to the second. It is understood that it is within the scope of the invention to also complete the first container against the environment of the domestic appliance, and then alone or with an overpressure relative to the ambient pressure to promote the water.

Preferably, the domestic appliance is a condenser dryer, in particular with a heat pump, the first container is a tray for collecting condensate, which is formed in a heat exchanger, and the second container is a storage container for storing the condensate. In this embodiment, the water pipe preferably connects the storage tank with the trough located below the heat exchanger so that condensate water located therein can be conveyed via the water pipe into the storage tank. The condensate water sucked into the storage tank is then optionally available for subsequent process steps, in particular for the cleaning of the heat exchanger. Alternatively, the water tank can also be emptied and the condensate water disposed of by an operator.

As already stated, the use of a pump in the water pipe with the associated disadvantages is unnecessary in the household appliance according to the invention. The advantages of the invention thus come fully into play when the water line over its entire length is free of conveyors, ie in particular free of pumps. Thus, as already stated, larger quantities of hair and fluff can be conveyed together with the water into the water tank, without having to fear the formation of lumps and blobs.

In one embodiment, the means for generating the negative pressure comprise an air pump connected to the second container. This may, for example, be such that the air pump is connected via a line, for example in the form of a tube, to the second container or is coupled to the same. By commissioning the air pump, the air can then be sucked out of the container, and there is a negative pressure in the container. In this way, it is possible to generate the negative pressure without much effort and thus to promote the water in a technically simple way. For controlling the air pump, the domestic appliance can have, for example, a control device-in particular a microcontroller. The control device can then turn on the air pump, thus temporarily creating a negative pressure in the water tank and to promote in this way the water in the water tank. The controller may also control a speed of the air pump and thereby the rate at which the pressure in the second container changes. Then different amounts of water can be promoted depending on demand or situation.

By the means for generating the negative pressure, for example, a pressure in the water tank can be generated, which is about 50 mbar to 300 mbar, in particular about 50 mbar to 150 mbar, lower than the ambient pressure outside the water tank. For example, in a normal case, the means may generate a vacuum in the water tank of about 100 mbar relative to the ambient pressure. It has been found that with a vacuum of about 100 mbar and a suction height - about the length of the water pipe - of about 80 cm volume flows up to 2.5 liters per minute can be achieved. So it can be a relatively small - and also compared to a water pump simpler - air pump can be used to achieve satisfactory results in pumping the water. Due to a relatively low negative pressure, which is required for conveying the water, electric power can therefore also be saved, if appropriate, in comparison to the possibilities of the prior art.

If the negative pressure in the air is generated in the second container, then preferably all valves present in the second container are closed. Preferably, all the openings present there - except for a suction opening, via which the air is sucked off, and an inlet opening for the pumped water - sealed, namely with the aid of existing valves. Then the container - except for the said suction opening and inlet opening - sealed to the environment. For example, a ventilation vent for venting may be closed by means of a vent valve and a purging port for purging a heat exchanger using a flush valve.

In an embodiment in which the second container has at least one opening and a valve is provided for closing this opening, the domestic appliance comprises a locking device, which serves to maintain a closed position of the valve at the prevailing in the second container vacuum. By using the locking device is achieved that the opening in the second container remains closed even when there is negative pressure. It is namely avoided that the associated valve is opened by the negative pressure. This proves to be particularly advantageous when using a poppet valve or a float valve - this is held by the locking device in the case of negative pressure in its closed position, so that the negative pressure can be maintained.

A reliable maintenance of the closed position of the valve can be achieved, for example, when the locking device is constructed on the principle of a toggle lever.

The locking device is used in particular for mechanically locking the valve.

If two valves are respectively provided for closing an opening of the water container in the second container, the locking device can simultaneously lock both valves. Then, the respective closed positions of the valves are maintained at the prevailing in the second container vacuum using only a locking device. The domestic appliance thus comes in this embodiment without an additional locking device; This is easily achieved by the execution of the locking device according to the principle of a toggle lever: Is one of the two openings in a lid and the other in a bottom of the second container in the manner formed so that both openings are located on a vertical, and both openings are closed in the interior in each case by a poppet valve, the locking can be realized by an extendable rod. The extended rod - which can be composed of two connected by a joint rods - then presses the two valves against respective inner wall and thus prevents the valves are moved when building the negative pressure from the respective closed position.

In a method according to the invention for conveying water in a water-bearing domestic appliance from a first container in which water is intended to fall, this partial air being replaced in the first container, to a second container intended to store the water by this Partially replaced in the second container existing air, and by a connected to the first container and the second container water pipe through which the water is conveyed from the first container to the second container; a pressure difference between the air in the first container and the air is generated in the second container, wherein due to the pressure difference, the water is conveyed via the water line from the first container to the second container.

An in Fig. 1 shown domestic appliance 1 is a condensation dryer in the embodiment. The domestic appliance 1 comprises a laundry drum 2, in which laundry items 3 are accommodated. A closed process air circuit 4 is provided, in which - driven by a fan 5 - circulates a process air flow, which absorbs moisture from the laundry items 3 and dissipates. By a heater 6, the process air is heated before entering the laundry drum 2. The heater may be a simple electrical resistance heater, it may also be a heat source 6 of a heat pump 6, 7, in addition to the heat source 6 to be described below a heat sink 7 and a pump means not shown for pumping heat from the heat sink 7 to the heat source. 6 has, ausgestalteter heat exchanger 6 be. After the process air heated in this heater 6 has flowed around the laundry items 3 falling over in the laundry drum 2 due to the rotation of the laundry drum 2, it leaves the laundry drum 2 and arrives at a further heat exchanger 7. This can be a simple air-to-air unit. Heat exchanger 7 or a heat sink 7 a heat pump 6, 7 be. There, the process air is cooled, so that the entrained moisture condenses, precipitated as condensate water on the structures of the heat exchanger 7 and in a below the further heat exchanger 7 arranged trough 8, which here as the first container 7, in which water, namely the condensate is intended to begin to stain, drips. From the tub 8 such condensate water passes through a water pipe 9 to a storage container 10, which is also a second container 10 and destined for storing the water in the form of the condensate here. The water replaced both in the first container 8 and in the second container 10, a portion of the existing air there.

The order of arrangement of the blower 5 and the heater 6 is in Fig. 1 merely exemplified. Likewise, the fan 5 can be arranged in the flow direction immediately behind the heat exchanger 7 and the heater 6 immediately before the laundry drum 2.

For cleaning the heat exchanger 7, a cleaning device is provided which has a purge line 11. The purge line 11 is connected to the storage tank 10. In the purge line 11, a valve 12 is integrated. By opening the valve 12, the condensate located in the storage container 10 can be delivered to the heat exchanger 7. The arrangement of the valve 12 is in Fig. 1 only functionally represented; This valve 12 may be integrated into the storage container 10, as shown in the embodiment according to Fig. 2 ,

It is inserted into the water pipe 9 no pump for conveying the condensate. In other words, the water pipe 9 is free of conveyors over its entire length. Instead, the domestic appliance 1 comprises means for generating a pressure difference between air in the tub 8 and air in the storage tank 10. The tub 8 is open to the environment of the domestic appliance 1, so that there is essentially the ambient pressure in the air and stops. However, the storage container 10 is lockable to the environment of the household appliance 1, so that in the air enclosed therein a negative pressure based on the ambient pressure can be produced. The means for generating this negative pressure comprise an air pump 13, which is connected to the water tank 10 via an air line 14. By means of the air pump 13, air can be sucked out of the storage container 10 in order to produce the vacuum necessary for conveying the condensate water in this way. The air pump 13 is controlled by means of a control device 15, which is a microcontroller in the embodiment. The control device 15 also controls other components of the domestic appliance 1, namely in the present case in particular the valve 12, the fan 5 as well as a in Fig. 1 not shown drive motor for driving the laundry drum 2 and other existing in the water tank 10 valves.

With the air pump 13, a vacuum of about 100 mbar with respect to the ambient pressure is generated in the exemplary embodiment in the storage container 10 in normal operation. This means that the pressure prevailing in the storage container 10 in terms of value by about 100 mbar is less than the ambient pressure. In this way, can be promoted by the water pipe 9 at a length of the water pipe 9 of about 80 cm 2.5 liters of water per minute. The control device 15 can also control the change in the pressure prevailing in the storage container 10, namely by controlling a rotational speed of the air pump 13. Depending on the situation and requirement, a desired amount of the condensate can thus be sucked in each case.

The negative pressure in the storage container 10 is generated as needed, d. H. the condensate is not conveyed continuously, but as required. If the air pump 13 is put into operation and generates the negative pressure, the storage container 10 is - except for a suction port 16 through which the air is sucked out of the water tank 10 by means of the air pump 13, and up to an inlet opening 17 through which the condensate in the storage container 10 enters - sealed to the environment. In particular, while the valve 12 is closed and locked. After aspirating the desired amount of condensate, the air pump 13 is turned off, and the condensate is available in the storage container 10 for further process steps available. For example, then the heat exchanger 7 can be cleaned or the storage tank 10 are emptied.

In Fig. 2 is a schematic representation of a water conveyor system including the storage container 10, the tub 8, the water pipe 9 and the purge line 11 is shown. The storage container 10 is received in a receiving part or a holder 18 (shaft) and held by this holder 18. An operator can pull out and empty the storage container 10 from the holder 18. All existing connections of the storage container 10 are thus realized on the holder and remain with the water tank 10 pulled out in the domestic appliance 1. The components shown in the interior of the storage container 10 can be pulled out together with the storage container 10.

In the region of the inlet opening 17, the storage container 10 has an inlet filter 19. This has the task to catch up with the water promoted hair and lint, so that they do not get into the interior of the storage container 10.

Um die Eintrittsöffnung 17 herum ist eine Dichtung 20 vorgesehen, durch welche eine abgedichtete Verbindung der Wasserleitung mit dem Wasserbehälter 10 gewährleistet ist, nämlich über die Halterung 18.Around the inlet opening 17 around a seal 20 is provided, through which a sealed connection of the water pipe is ensured with the water tank 10, namely on the holder 18th

At the in Fig. 2 illustrated embodiment, the suction opening 16 is in the immediate region of the inlet opening 17. The suction opening 16 and the inlet opening 17 can also be combined, ie formed by a common opening. Then there is no need to use another seal, the seal 20 is one for the two lines 9, 14 common seal. This arrangement is merely an example; the air pump 13 can be connected to the storage container 10 (via the holder 18) at any desired location on a side of the lid facing away from the tray 8.

In line 14, a protective device (not shown in the figures) may be integrated, by means of which the air pump 13 is protected against water hammer. In particular, in question are a safety valve and a water level sensor, both preferably placed in the region of the suction opening 16.

The flushing line 11 is connected to the storage container 10 via the holder 18, namely via a flushing opening 22. To close the flushing opening 22, a valve 12 is provided in the storage container 10. The valve 12 is a poppet valve. The storage container 10 also has a ventilation opening 23; for closing the ventilation opening 23, a further valve 24 is provided, namely also a poppet valve. The two valves 12, 24 can in the vertical direction - as indicated by an arrow 25 - moves and thus occupy a corresponding closed position or an open position. For locking the valves 12, 24, a locking device 26 is provided in the storage container 10. The locking device 26 serves to maintain the respective closed positions of the valves 12, 24, namely, when in the storage tank 10, the negative pressure prevails. The mechanical locking device 26 is formed in the embodiment according to the principle of a toggle lever and comprises two rods 27, 28, which are connected to each other via a hinge 29. On the other hand, the rods 27, 28 are also pivotally connected to the respective valve 12, 24. Now, the joint 29 in the direction of an arrow 30, ie in Fig. 2 to the left, moved - namely using an addressable by the controller 15 additional actuator or in combination with the actuator that controls the valve 12 for the flushing -, the valves 12, 24 are brought into the respective closed positions and locked. By the two rods 27, 28 a quasi linear rod is formed, which presses on the one hand the valve 12 and on the other hand the valve 24 against an inner wall of the storage container 10. In this way, the two valves 12, 24 mechanically locked using only one locking device 26, and the respective closed positions of the valves 12, 24 are maintained even at the negative pressure in the storage container 10.

Overall, therefore, a domestic appliance 1 is provided, in which water can be reliably conveyed via a water pipe 9 into a storage tank 10, without a separate water pump having to be inserted into the water pipe 9. A negative pressure is generated in the storage container 10, namely with respect to an ambient pressure prevailing outside the storage container 10. Means are provided for generating the negative pressure or the pressure difference, which may include an air pump 13 connected to the storage tank 10. By generating the negative pressure in the air present in the storage tank 10, the water can be conveyed through the water pipe 9, as well as in the water located hair and lint, which lead to the failure of a water pump in the prior art.
