Description

The present invention relates to a utensil for cleaning bottles.

In infant feeding, good hygiene of feeding equipment is essential. After each use, it is advisable to clean the bottle and its teat before possibly sterilizing it. The purpose of cleaning is to remove milk and / or slurry from the bottle and nipple.

US 2007/0274762 .For this, there are brushes that usually have a cleaning head having fiber bristles. There are typically two types of bottle brushes, namely baby bottle brushes whose diameter is adapted to the diameter of the bottle and nipple bottles of which the diameter is adapted to a nipple as disclosed in US 2007/0274762 .

To facilitate the use of these two types of brushes essential to good hygiene, it is known, for example, to provide the handle of the baby bottle bottle with a storage cavity in which the pacifier bottle can be inserted between two uses.

The cleaning of the bottle is performed in a fully satisfactory manner; on the other hand, the cleaning of the pacifier may have certain insufficiencies.

This is due, in particular, to the fact that so-called wide-necked (large-diameter) bottles associated with wide-base nipples have appeared on the market.

To perform a proper cleaning of these teats with a wide base, the diameter of the nipple brushes must be adapted accordingly.

However, for issues of size and ergonomics, the handle bottle brush bottle can not increase in the same proportions. The fibers of the teat bottle brush are then bent into the storage cavity.

This results in a loss of effectiveness of the cleaning done with a nipple brush with the fibers bent.

An object of the invention is to provide a cleaning utensil for a bottle and its pacifier that allows efficient cleaning of the pacifier and which remains compact.

The present invention relates to a cleaning implement comprising a bottle-top bottle having a gripping handle associated with a bottle-cleaning head, the handle comprising a storage cavity in which is removably inserted a nipple bottle-brush comprising a grip handle and a nipple cleaning head having substantially straight fibers oriented radially. In addition, the storage cavity has a cross section having a major axis and a minor axis and the cleaning head of the nipple clamp has a maximum dimension substantially equal to the long axis of the storage cavity, so that the fibers of the part of the nipple cleaning head, positioned in the storage cavity at the major axis, remain straight.

Thus, the utensil according to the invention makes it possible to provide a nipple brush which ensures effective cleaning while remaining compact and ergonomic. A distinctive feature of the invention is that the storage cavity in the handle does not have a conventional cylindrical geometry; instead the storage cavity has a flattened geometry that allows to receive the teat bottle brush by preserving part of its cleaning head. Indeed, the invention proposes to store the teat bottle brush in a cavity whose major axis in its cross section is substantially equal to a maximum dimension of the cross section of the cleaning head of the nipple bottle, so that at least a portion of the fibers of the cleaning head is not curved for this part and thus fully retains its cleaning ability.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the grip handle of the nipple bottle has snap means in the storage cavity.

In another embodiment of the invention, the gripping handle of the teat bottle brush is connected to the gripping handle of the bottle brush by means of pivot connection.

According to several embodiments of the utensil:

  • the storage cavity has a cross section substantially flattened hexagon.

  • the teat bottle brush cleaning head has at least one portion of frustoconical shape,
  • the cleaning head of the brush has at least one portion of elliptical shape.

  • Figure 9 montre l'ustensile selon l'invention assemblé,
For a good understanding, the invention is described with reference to the accompanying drawing showing, based on non-limiting examples, several embodiments of a cleaning utensil according thereto.
  • Figure 1 is a perspective view of a cleaning utensil,
  • Figure 2 shows, in front view, the utensil in use,
  • Figures 3, 4 and 5 show, in cross-section along III-III of the figure 2 , several embodiments of the utensil,
  • Figures 6 to 8 show, respectively, in front view and in perspective two embodiments of a nipple brush,
  • Figure 9 shows the utensil according to the invention assembled,
  • Figures 10 and 11 show another embodiment of the utensil.

As can be seen on the figure 1 for example, the cleaning utensil 1 essentially comprises two elements, namely a baby bottle brush 2 and a teat bottle brush 3.

The cleaning utensil is indeed intended for cleaning a bottle and its nipple.

The cleaning head 5 may take a number of forms but, in the usual manner, it comprises a twist of wire from which radially fibers of flexible synthetic material, of polyamide, polypropylene, pvc or polyester type, the diameter of which can usually vary between 0.1 and 0.5 millimeters.

On its rear portion opposite that equipped with the cleaning head 5, the handle 4 has a storage cavity 7 in which is engaged the teat bottle brush 3 between two uses.

The storage cavity 7 has the particularity of presenting, in its different embodiments, a flattened transverse section comprising a major axis D and a small axis d.

As shown by Figures 3, 4 and 5 the cross section of the storage cavity 7 may respectively take the form of substantially an ellipse, a rhombus, a rectangle. A substantially hexagonal shape is also to be envisaged.

The nipple brush 3 has, for its part, on a reduced scale, a structure similar to that of the baby bottle brush 2.

In fact, for the nipple bottle nipple 3, there is a handle 9 to which is added a cleaning head 10. The cleaning head may consist of a twisted wire from which synthetic fibers leave.

In the case of the utensil according to the invention, the cleaning head of the nipple bottle nipple 3 has a maximum dimension which is substantially equal to the major axis D of the storage cavity 7. By maximum dimension, we mean the highest dimension important of the cleaning head taken in its cross section.

Thus, when the teat bottle brush 3 is engaged in the storage cavity 7, the fibers of the cleaning head 10 which are at the major axis D are not folded and keep intact their cleaning ability.

The fibers that are at the minor axis are certainly folded, without this detracts from the nipple brush 3 all of its cleaning capacity.

Thus, the gripping handle bottle bottle 2 has a flat shape that is compact and ergonomic, while providing storage teat bottle brush 3 which preserves the cleaning ability of the latter.

As shown by Figures 6 to 7 , the teat bottle brush 3 has a cleaning head whose section is of revolution and which may be, for example, cylindrical or frustoconical.

As shown in figure 8 it is also conceivable to provide the teat bottle brush 3 with fibers distributed over two floors which can have an elliptical section fiber stage corresponding to the section of the storage cavity 7 and a small diameter cylindrical section fiber stage.

The figure 9 shows an embodiment of the utensil according to the invention in its assembled configuration. It can be provided a ventilation window 11 in the storage cavity 7.

The figure 10 shows another embodiment of the invention in which the teat bottle brush 3 is removable from the handle of the baby bottle brush but remains connected thereto by a pivot connection. The nipple bottle brush 3 can be removed from the bottle bottle handle pivotally. There is provided an axis of rotation allowing the nipple-bristle swivel to pivot relative to the bottle-shank handle between a retracted position in which the bottle-nipple is located within the storage cavity and an extended position in which the Nipple brush 3 is extracted from the storage cavity 7.

For the purposes of this document, the term "removable" must be understood with respect to the storage cavity 7 in which the teat bottle brush can be extracted or inserted, either autonomously or by being attached to bottle-feeding bottle-brush 2, by pivot. In the embodiment of the nipple brush 3 which is shown in FIGS. Figures 10 and 11 , the cleaning head 10 has an elliptical shape which corresponds substantially to that of the cavity 7. In this case, none of the fibers of the cleaning head is bent.

This embodiment in elliptical shape can be envisaged with all the forms of handle and storage cavity envisaged above.
