Gerade aber bei Sprossenprofilen aber auch bei normalen Abstandhalterhohlprofilen ist eine solche Anordnung der Schweißnaht nicht erwünscht, da dort beide Seiten des Profils sichtbar sind.
Deswegen wurde teilweise dazu übergegangen, die Hohlprofile an den Schmalseitenkanten zu schweißen und so die Schweißnaht in einen kaum sichtbaren Bereich zu verlegen.
Damit besteht aber das Problem, daß bekannte Steckverbinder für Hohlprofile nur noch eingeschränkt eingesetzt werden können. Entweder steigen die Einsteckkräfte stark an oder aber es ist kein sicherer Halt des Steckverbinders im Hohlprofil mehr gewährleistet.
Daher liegt der Erfindung die Aufgabe zugrunde, einen Steckverbinder vorzuschlagen, der einerseits leicht in ein solches neuartiges Hohlprofil einsetzbar ist, aber dennoch straff und sicher darin sitzt. Zudem soll der Steckverbinder auch für herkömmliche Hohlprofile einsetzbar sein.
Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, daß an den Lamellen und/oder den Schenkeln Ausnehmungen vorgesehen sind, wobei die Ausnehmungen zusammen einen in Verbinderlängsrichtung weisenden Kanal bilden. Mittels dieser Ausnehmungen können die Lamellen bzw. Schenkel die Schweißnaht umgreifen. Die Ausnehmungen sorgen so dafür, daß die Lamellen bzw. Schenkel trotzdem an den Wandungen des Hohlprofiles anliegen und sich dort abstützen können. Dabei hat es sich als sehr vorteilhaft erwiesen, wenn die Ausnehmungen an den von den Schenkeln wegweisenden Enden der Lamellen bzw. den Außenseiten der Schenkel vorgesehen sind.
Dies entspricht der üblichen Anordnung der Schweißnaht bei den neuartigen Hohlprofilen.

Überhöhungen vorgesehen sind, die als Rastnasen dienen können und dabei auch als Auflaufschrägen ausgebildet sein können. Diese Erhebungen bzw. Überhöhungen können sich an der Schweißnaht abstützen und sich an Unebenheiten derselben verhaken.
Ebenfalls sehr vorteilhaft ist es erfindungsgemäß auch, wenn die Ausnehmungen asymmetrisch in Verbinderhöhenrichtung und/oder in Verbinderlängsrichtung ausgebildet sind.
Auch mit einer solchen Ausgestaltung wird erreicht, daß sich die Ausnehmungen an der Schweißnaht abstützen bzw. verhaken können.
Im folgenden wird die Erfindung anhand eines Ausführungsbeispiels veranschaulicht. Dabei zeigen:

Es ist aber auch denkbar, durch die Anordnung der Ausnehmungen 10 eine vorgegebene Einsteckrichtung und Passung zu bestimmten Hohlprofilen zu definieren.
Wie in Fig. 4 dargestellt können die Ausnehmungen 10 auch direkt in den Längsseitenstegen 5 und 6 angeordnet werden, wobei dann auf Lamellen 7 verzichtet wird. Der dort dargestellte Steckverbinder ist mit 21 bezeichnet.
Gerade bei diesem Ausführungsbeispiel können, wie in Fig.5 dargestellt, die auf der Unterseite der Bodenfläche 2 angeordneten Rastelemente 13 wenigstens annähernd die volle Breite des Steckverbinders 21 einnehmen. Zusätzlich können an den Außenkanten der Bodenfläche 2 Gleitflächen 22 vorgesehen sein, die ein leichteres Einschieben des Steckverbinders in das jeweilige Hohlprofil ermöglichen. Der Halt des Steckverbinders 21 wird dadurch nicht negativ beeinflusst.
